Dinesh D’Souza is a far-right conspiracy theorist and conservative pundit who pleaded guilty to campaign finance fraud in 2014. This morning, President Trump announced that D’Souza would be the latest person to receive a presidential pardon.
D’Souza has made a career out of presenting lies about Democrats and making wild inflammatory claims such as the assertion that Adolf Hitler was not anti-LGBTQ, despite the fact that Nazis imprisoned gay people. Recently, D’Souza has been peddling the long-debunked myth that billionaire philanthropist George Soros was a Nazi collaborator and was pictured in the White House last year hyping his book comparing Democrats to Nazis.

In the past year alone, D’Souza suggested the violent alt-right “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, was staged, claimed that a woman who accused former Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of inappropriate sexual contact with her when she was underage was giving a “performance,” and said that civil-rights activist Rosa Parks was an “overrated Democrat.” He was also disinvited from CPAC this year for mocking survivors of the Parkland school shooting.
Right-wing media cheered Trump’s announcement this morning that he will be pardoning D’Souza.
European personality Peter Imanuelson warned: “Prepare for massive triggering.”

Mike Flynn Jr., the adult son of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, who has also pled guilty to lying to federal investigators about his connections to Russian officials, rejoiced in the pardon and claimed that D’Souza was the victim of a “political hit job.”
The political hit job on @DineshDSouza was a disgrace. That’s what the Obama administration was good at. Targeting those they disagreed with and trying to silence them.
