Pat Robertson Sad That Americans Think They Have ‘A Right To Get High’

Today on “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson and his co-host linked Americans’ use of drugs with jazz musician Gene Krupa, who was arrested in 1943 for possession of marijuana, and with the Beatles, fuming that too many Americans today believe that they have “a right to get high.”

Robertson said he was nostalgic for the good ol’ days when society shamed people who used drugs like marijuana. Nowadays, he said, people are “sniffin’ and snortin’” without fear of embarrassment or punishment.
