Pat Buchanan is fuming over President Obama’s call to outfit police officers with body cameras, telling Newsmax host J.D. Hayworth today that such a move is decidedly anti-American.
After Hayworth, a former Republican congressman, asked the conservative columnist if he sees the body camera proposal as a method of “profiling police officers,” Buchanan claimed that requiring such cameras wrongly blames law enforcement for violence in America.
“That is a libel and a slander on America,” Buchanan said. “And a libel and a slander on police.”
