Earlier this week, right-wing anti-Islam activist Laura Loomer appeared on “Crowdsource The Truth,” where she said that she doesn’t care that journalist Jamal Khashoggi was reportedly murdered by the Saudi government and insisted that his death was in no way a loss because he was “an enemy of the state” who got what he deserved.
“I don’t really care about the fact that Khashoggi was murdered,” she said. “You’re going to live by the sword, you’re going to die by the sword.”
“Jamal Khashoggi was a Muslim Brotherhood operative,” she added, “and so I don’t really feel sympathy for him. I mean, these jihadis are a dime a dozen and they may have differences in terms of which sect they promote or they may have differences in which terrorist organizations they advocate for or belong [to], but at the end of the day, their ideology is the same. So I don’t really view the death of Jamal Khashoggi as a loss.”
“I have a serious problem with people trying to portray Jamal Khashoggi as a victim, because he’s not a victim,” Loomer continued. “He was producing pro-Muslim Brotherhood propaganda and I don’t really view his death as a loss for the field of journalism or a loss for the American people. I think that Jamal Khashoggi was an enemy of the state and I don’t really think that it’s appropriate for American media institutions to be trying to generate sympathy. He’s not a hero.”
