John Nolte Urges Breitbarters To ‘Kill CNN’ By Cancelling Cable

John Nolte, an editor-at-large at Breitbart, urged Breitbart radio listeners to cancel their cable TV subscriptions because “the only way to kill CNN is to cut the cord.”

This morning on “Breitbart News Daily,” Nolte joined host Alex Marlow to discuss suspected social media censorship of conservatives and to answer calls. Toward the end of his appearance, Nolte discussed an increase in households who have decided to cancel their cable television subscriptions and replace them with digital video streaming subscriptions and encouraged Breitbart listeners to cancel cable subscriptions in their own homes so that they can hurt news outlets like CNN and MSNBC.

“Cable TV is the devil. Cable TV is what funds the institutional left. CNN cannot survive on 900,000 primetime viewers a day—they can’t do it. The way that they survive is that they’re on your cable package and you pay them a dollar a month,” Nolte said. “So CNN is in 90 million homes, less than one-tenth of one percent of those homes watch [CNN], but still CNN is making $90 million a month, which comes out to almost a billion dollars a year, just because they’re on your package.”

“So, the more streaming takes over cable, the better it is because the institutional left—CNN, MSNBC, MTV, ESPN—they make less money if you cut the cord. The only way to kill CNN is to cut the cord, and that’s why I constantly champion cutting the cord,” Nolte said.
