On his radio program yesterday, Bryan Fischer followed up his warning from last week that Christians will now be banned from holding public office in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage nationwide to declare that, in fact, Christians will now be stripped of all of their rights because “we are the new Dred Scott.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, I want to suggest to you and state this flatly, we as Christians, we are the new Dred Scott,” Fischer declared, “and liberals are the new [Supreme Court Justice] Roger Taney. Because the view of liberals is that the Christian man has no rights that the liberal man is bound to respect.”
“So, ladies and gentlemen, we are the new Dred Scott,” he said. “Liberals are the new Roger Taney.”
