D’Souza: Lessons On Columbus, Slavery And Civil Rights Are Liberal Plot To Make ‘Young People Hate America’

In an interview with One American News Network’s Rick Amato last week, right-wing activist and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza claimed that liberals are “teaching our young people to hate America” by including lessons on slavery, colonization and the Civil Rights Movement in school curricula.

D’Souza, who’s promoting his new movie “America: Imagine The World Without Her,” told Amato that a “generation of spoiled, overfed, affluent young people who turned bitterly against the Vietnam War” later “basically rewrote American history to make America the bad guy in all circumstances” by teaching schoolchildren about things such as the founding fathers owning slaves and Christopher Columbus’ exploitation of the native population.

“In a sense, we’re teaching our young people to hate America,” he said.

He added that this was part of a plot by leftist radicals who have figured out that “you don’t need to be a radical by blowing up a bridge” and that you can write textbooks instead.
