“Respected prophet” Cindy Jacobs and her husband Mike preached at a church in Ohio last week that is run by Frank Amedia, who has played an important role in mobilizing Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians to support Donald Trump.
In their sermon, the Jacobses urged those in the congregation to be sure to vote in November in order to stop the U.S. from promoting LGBT rights throughout the world.
Mike Jacobs declared that as he and Cindy travel abroad, they are constantly having to repent to their fellow Christians “for actions taken by the leadership of the United States of America” in pushing homosexuality upon other nations.
They recounted a recent mission trip they took to Costa Rica, where they discovered a gay pride flag flying outside the U.S. embassy. “That embassy represents you,” Mike Jacobs fumed as he displayed a photo of the rainbow flag flying outside the embassy. “Are they representing you when they do that?”
Cindy was similarly outraged, saying that local Christian leaders in Costa Rica “were all complaining to us about America and what we’re doing, how the ambassadors that were chosen were homosexual couples that were put in and sent into all the schools of their country, even though it was against their laws to have same-sex marriages and they were mad at us because we’re polluting their nations.”
“It matters who you vote for because who you vote for will put ambassadors in that will be our voice in the nations,” she said. “So we began shooting off emails, Mike did and and I did, to people we know in the U.S. and the next day that gay flag was down.”
For the record, the U.S. ambassador to Costa Rica is S. Fitzgerald Haney and he is not gay:
Ambassador Haney was born in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up outside of Chicago, in Naperville, Illinois. He and his wife, Rabbi Andrea Haney, have four children and most recently resided in Englewood, New Jersey.
