Alex Jones Really Thought He Had The Classified FISA Memo

Alex Jones, host of the conspiracy theory outlet Infowars, claimed today that he had received the classified memo that Rep. Devin Nunes wrote that conservatives are claiming outlines ways in which Democrats broke the law to illegally surveil Donald Trump during the 2016 election. The only problem was that he hadn’t.

Jones was nearly hysterical during today’s episode of “The Alex Jones Show” when a guest sent him a copy of a document that he believed was the much-hyped classified memo that Nunes reportedly won’t even show to the Justice Department. Republican pundits have said the document should be made public because it will supposedly prove Democrats illegally spied on President Trump.

When he received the document, he flipped through it page-by-page on air so viewers could pause the video and read it themselves.

“I told you I have sources and that I had reverse engineered it, but I guess the decision has been made by whoever is telling Binney to send this to us,” Jones said.

Jones then went off air to scour the document, despite the fact that many users on Twitter quickly pointed out that what Jones had received was actually an unclassified FISA court opinion and not the rumored secret memo.
