'I think it's very hard to pressure a presidential candidate into either taking or rejecting a vice-presidential possibility,' Bauer contends. 'And quite frankly I would be worried about a presidential candidate who allowed public pressure to affect his or her decision, which is really one of the first important decisions that they make.'"</p>
