Ted Nugent Touts Donald Trump: ‘At Least He’ll Be A Liar Of A Different Color’

Update: We previously reported that Nugent had endorsed Donald Trump. However, Nugent has told Facebook commenters that he is not endorsing Trump but is only passing on a message from a friend. We apologize for the error.

Despite Ted Cruz’s best efforts to court NRA board member Ted Nugent, the far-right activist posted on his Facebook page yesterday a note from a friend touting Donald Trump.

Nugent, who has been in the news recently for publishing anti-Semitic Facebook posts and calling for the execution of President Obama and Hillary Clinton, has spoken favorably about Trump in the past as someone who is “as close to Ted Nugent as you’re going to get” in the White House.

In his last endorsement of Mitt Romney back in 2012, when he declared that “if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”

Senator Cruz, Senator Rubio, Governor Bush and others are going to pay the price for my anger. I’m voting for Donald Trump.

Is Mr. Trump going to do everything he says such as build a wall on our border and make Mexico pay for it? No, but I don’t care.

Will Mr. Trump ever lie to us if he’s elected president? Yes, but that doesn’t really concern me. At least he’ll be a liar of a different color.

Is Mr. Trump a hardcore conservative? No, but that doesn’t bother me either.

Can Mr. Trump drain the swamp of corruption, cronyism, and red tape known as Washington DC? No, but I think he would try periodically. That’s good enough.

What I do know is that Mr. Trump has never been elected to anything including city dog catcher. I like it he’s an outsider and a cagey businessman.

Does Mr. Trump say some things that are provocative and that anger some people? Yes, but I also believe that the road to hell is paved with political correctness.

I don’t believe Mr. Trump can be bought and manipulated. I like that, too.

Mr. Trump is exactly what America needs. His time is now. He’s got my vote.
