During last weekend’s “Celebrate America” convention, televangelist Rodney Howard-Browne called on Religious Right activists to free America from the clutches of Satan before the country turns into a jail for Christians.
“We have allowed the Devil to come in and take over every realm of society,” Howard-Browne lamented. After dismissing the separation of church and state as “a bunch of garbage” and peddling some Christian Nationalist pseudo–history, Howard-Browne warned that people will soon flee America. “If we do not see another Great Awakening, people are going to want to leave here because this place is fast becoming a prison,” he said.
Later, he called on conservatives to take back the government, warning that “it is like our nation has become demon possessed in every realm.”
