During his latest, now seemingly weekly, press conference at the National Press Club, Randall Terry warned Senators John McCain and Sam Brownback that if they vote to confirm Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court “the blood of the babies that will die because of her rulings in on your hands,” before going on and calling on Catholic Bishops all over the country to stand up and publicly declare that any Catholic Democratic senator who votes to confirm her will be denied communion, saying that any Bishop who does not do so is guilty of “treachery and cowardice”:
