On his radio program today, Glenn Beck said that he doesn’t understand what has happened to his former Fox News colleague Sean Hannity or understand how Hannity can sleep at night given his shameless shilling for Donald Trump.
Beck and his co-hosts were discussing the fact that Hannity declared that Ted Cruz “blew it” when he spoke at the GOP convention last week and refused to endorse Trump, but then called Bernie Sanders “a gutless coward” for endorsing Hillary Clinton. Beck and crew pointed out that Hannity was basically ripping Cruz for not doing the very thing that he was now ripping Sanders for doing.
“There are too few honest brokers” in the media today, said Beck’s co-host, Pat Gray, pointing specifically to the likes of Hannity and Tucker Carlson as people whose positions have become utterly incoherent as a result of their support for Trump.
“I’ve heard the Sean Hannity” clip, Beck said, “and it is jaw-dropping. And I say this as a friend of Sean Hannity’s: I don’t know how he sleeps at night, I really don’t.”
“He’s got to have some justification in his head,” Beck said. “I’d like to know what the hoop is that he’s jumping through because this is truly dramatic.”
