GOP Rep: Gun Reform An Obama Plot To Distract From North Korea Going Nuclear (Under Bush)

On Friday, Rep. Pete Olson, R-Texas, appeared on “The Sam Malone Show,” where he revealed the real reason for President Obama’s executive actions on gun reform.

The new measures were not meant to curb gun violence, Olson explained, but to distract from foreign affairs, such as ISIS terrorism, territorial disputes in the South China Sea and North Korea attaining nuclear weapons, which happened before Obama — whom Olson referred to as the “Schmuckatelli-in-Chief” — even became president.

“The whole gun issue by President Obama, that is just one big diversion,” the congressman said. “‘I don’t want you to focus on how weak we are overseas; the fact that ISIS is killing Americans in America, are planning to do that here in America, the fact that they’re killing people all over the world; the fact that Iran is driving to have a nuclear weapon; the fact that North Korea has nuclear weapons; the fact that China has built islands in the South China sea. It is the complete failure of leadership from Schmuckatelli-in-Chief.”

He criticized Obama for failing to stop a Pakistani scientist who reportedly helped North Korea acquire nuclear weapons.
