On his “Pass the Salt” program Thursday, Ohio-based Religious Right activist “Coach” Dave Daubenmire criticized Christian churches for supporting LGBT people and people of color, calling diversity “the devil” and a threat to white Christians.
He also distanced Christianity from Judaism, claiming that “Jews without Jesus are lost” and that the [inaccurate] phrase “Judeo-Christian” is used by Christians because they “don’t want to offend the Jews.”
After showing a documentary on the threat of “white genocide”, Daubenmire warned that there is a movement afoot to destroy “white, Christian, heterosexual men” because they are the ones who “have spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, and if we can get them silenced, the Gospel is silenced.”
Daubenmire blasted Christian churches for their growing acceptance of LGBT people and people of different ethnicities.
“I just saw today on the internet, some big Christian singer — I don’t know who he, don’t know his name ‘cause I don’t follow that stuff — came out as a homo and the Church is embracing him,” Daubenmire said. “Embracing the homo. But see, it’s another minority that we’re being taught to embrace. Now, most of us probably feel a little bit uncomfortable talking about white folks, and that’s what they’ve done to us, see.”
“It’s only the white, Christian, heterosexual male that can save the world,” Daubenmire said, only to immediately correct himself: “We can’t save the world, that was a terrible phrase. We’re the only ones that can contend for Western civilization. We are it.”
“Why are they bringing these Muslims here?” Daubenmire asked. “Wait a minute, why do they hate Trump? It’s a spiritual war raging in front of us, and who is the number one acceptor of diversity? You got it, that big steeple down the road. They bought, again, into the lie of the devil. See, the devil will never come frontal and tell you what he’s gonna do. He comes in like an angel of light. ‘Oh, we’re diverse and we love all people.’”
Daubenmire said the U.S. will be minority white nation by 2050 and warned that with this demographic change, “Judeo-Christian values and principles go out the window. Western civilization — we don’t like to say this — was founded and settled by white WASPs.” He cited Europe’s diverse population and London’s Muslim mayor. “It’s coming to a city near you,” he said.
As part of this spiritual war, Daubenmire said, society aims for “the elimination of the white, Christian, heterosexual male, at least his voice, his right to speak.”
Daubenmire also rejected the idea of “Judeo-Christian values,” insisting that people must stop using the term because “it’s white Christians that spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not white Jews. It’s white Christians.”
“We say ‘Judeo-Christian’ because we don’t want to offend the Jews,” Daubenmire argued, again asking himself, “Jews — oh, Lord do I have to say it? Jews without Jesus are lost. They’re lost. They’re just as lost as the Muslims. It’s Christian values. Christ-centered values, not Judeo-Christian values. We understand our roots. We understand the roots of Christianity. We understand that we’ve come out of Judaism. We understand that. We understand that. But we’re not a Judeo-Christian society, we’re a Christian society.”
