On his Family Talk radio program today, James Dobson replayed an old speech that we hadn’t heard before: anti-feminist activist Dr. Dorothy Kelley Patterson’s address to a Concerned Women of America conference “a few years back.”
In the talk, entitled “From Rib to Lib via Fib,” Patterson describes how Elizabeth Cady Stanton, one of the architects of the women’s suffrage movement, was in fact under the influence of Satan.
Quoting from the passage of Genesis in which Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit, Patterson – the wife of prominent Southern Baptist leader Paige Patterson — explains that Cady Stanton’s famous creation of a “Women’s Bible” was just part of “Satan’s plan.”
