The Religious Right has long been suspicious of the Girl Scouts, which activists have claimed turns girls into promiscuous, abortion-having lesbian socialists. Anti-Girl-Scout sentiment is on the rise yet again on the Right since the organization has announced that it will allow transgender girls to join the Scouts on “a case-by-case basis.” Concerned Women for America’s Penny Nance has been making the rounds on conservative media, calling the policy a “slap in the face to Christian parents,” and a few petitions are circulating urging people to make their displeasure known to the organization.
CitizenGo, the international petition platform that the National Organization for Marriage’s Brian Brown sits on the board of, is warning that the Girl Scouts are no longer merely “teaching girls that abortion and lesbianism are normal and admirable,” but are now running “a social engineering experiment on children”:
Although their cookies may be tasty, the Girl Scouts of America (GSA) has long promoted radical agendas, including teaching girls that abortion and lesbianism are normal and admirable. But now, they’ve gone even further to promote a sexual ideology to children.
In accordance with the new policy, the GSA website now reads, “If the child is recognized by the family and school/community as a girl and lives culturally as a girl, then Girl Scouts is an organization that can serve her in a setting that is both emotionally and physically safe.”

In plain English, this means that families will be forced play gender make-believe and accept biological boys as girls. Boys in skirts and make-up, sharing tents with young vulnerable girls will now become an accepted part of the Girls Scouts program. This obviously puts children at risk and treats a recognized mental health problem as normative.

It’s a tragedy that GSA leadership is willing to run a social engineering experiment on children, both the confused boys and the innocent girls wondering why a boy in a dress is in the bathroom with them.

Meanwhile, the American Family Association and its affiliate One Million Moms, seem to have picked up some of the same talking points, warning that the Girl Scouts’ “dangerous policy” will “put young innocent girls at risk” by forcing them to associate with “[b]oys in skirts, boys in make-up and boys in tents.”

This means girls in the organization will be forced to recognize and accept transgenderism as a normal lifestyle. Boys in skirts, boys in make-up and boys in tents will become a part of the program. This change will put young innocent girls at risk.Adults are willing to experiment on our kids – both the boys who are confused and the girls who will wonder why a boy in a dress is in the bathroom with them.
The Girl Scouts of America has lost its moral compass and needs your encouragement to rescind this new policy. Since 2003, bad policies like this have resulted in GSA’s enrollment dropping by over one million girls, almost 27% of its membership.
