President Barack Obama

Fischer: Obama Changing The Name Of Mt. McKinley Because He Hates White Republican Americans

For generations, Alaskans have referred to the nation's highest peak as "Denali," even after the federal government renamed it after President William McKinley back in 1917, and so the White House announced today that the National Parks Service will be restoring the mountain's original name, a move that was championed by the state's two Republican senators and lauded by its governor.

But according to Bryan Fischer, there was another reason for the change: President McKinley was a white Republican American ... and those are the three things that President Obama hates the most!

"Why would Obama do this?," he asked on his radio program today. "Well, there's a very simple reason: President McKinley was a Republican and he was American and he was white. So he was all the things that President Obama has such a visceral distaste for."

Oath Keepers, Preparing For Obama-Provoked Race War, Say They'll Arm Ferguson Protesters. What?

The Oath Keepers, the group that helped provoke the heavily armed standoff with federal officials at the Bundy Ranch last year, made some news last week when they showed up in Ferguson, Missouri, wearing body armor and carrying assault weapons. Now, the head of the group’s St. Louis County chapter says he’s angry that his men were “discredited” by the county police chief – he called their presence “unnecessary and inflammatory” – and the Oath Keepers are planning to signal their displeasure by arming 50 black demonstrators with AR-15 assault rifles.

To prevent those protesters from being shot by police, the Oath Keepers will “surround the black demonstrators as protection.” Sam Andrews, the county Oath Keepers leader, says the event will be an iconic event like Martin Luther King, Jr.’s March on Washington.

Martin Luther King? Let’s step back a minute, and encourage any Ferguson activists who might be thinking about partnering with the Oath Keepers to do the same, and remind ourselves who the Oath Keepers are and why they were in Ferguson.

At an abstract level, the idea behind the Oath Keepers sounds reasonable, almost noble – getting military and law enforcement officers to pledge to uphold their oath to protect the Constitution, and to declare that they will not participate in acts that would violate Americans’ constitutional rights, such as warrantless searches. Some members of the group have denounced excessive use of force by police. In reality, though, the group’s lofty mission statement hides a far-right, anti-government ideology and a strong dose of race-based paranoia. Stewart Rhodes, the founder of Oath Keepers, promotes the kind of wild conspiracy theories that have thrived since the election of Barack Obama as president, including the idea that Obama is trying to provoke a race war as an excuse for declaring martial law and discarding the Constitution.

Rhodes is fond of talking about civil war. In December he said that a 2013 Connecticut law banning some assault weapons and high-capacity magazines would lead to an attempt at door-to-door confiscation and “civil war.” Rhodes said last year that if Congress didn’t impeach Obama for his executive actions on immigration, “then they will lose all credibility, and throw us into a TRUE constitutional crisis, because they will have failed to do their jobs, leaving the people with the necessity of pursuing ‘other options’ to stop him.” In May, he said Sen. John McCain should be tried for treason and then hung.

As Right Wing Watch reported, Rhodes gave a speech to the Oath Keepers’ New York chapter in June, in which he “encouraged his group’s members to organize and stock up on food in order to resist the government’s plan to institute martial law after bringing down the country with an economic collapse, a race war, ISIS attacks and unchecked immigration.” From his speech:

I think that keeping with that communist agenda of a fourth-generation warfare assault, the intent is to use an economic neutron bomb — doesn’t destroy the buildings, but it kills the people eventually, it starves you out — cause chaos, and in the middle of all that chaos, spark a race war, and in the middle of that, unleash these ISIS cells that are now all over the country. And they don’t just ignore the influx of these cells, they cultivate it, they give them fertilizer, water and fresh air and make them grow.

Rhodes said “the leftists in this country hate this country, they hate it, and they will get in bed with radical Islamists because they have a common enemy, western civilization.”

The Oath Keepers’ concern for the Constitution doesn’t seem to apply to the constitutional rights of gay people. Mike Koeniger, vice president of the Virginia state chapter, declared last month that a couple hundred sheriffs could defy the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling if they were backed by Oath Keepers:

Imagine that we only had 200 sheriffs that stood in the gap, and behind every one of those sheriffs there were 2,000 Oath Keepers, being civilian or prior military or whatever, imagine the power of 200 sheriffs…

We’d win. We’d win with just 200 sheriffs and 2,000 people behind each of those sheriffs. And then we win the war.

That’s not the only time the Oath Keepers have waded into issues involving gay rights. Earlier this summer, Rhodes accepted an invitation from James David Manning, a Harlem-based pastor who says gays should be stoned to death, to speak at a July 4 event in Gettysburg that Manning hoped would draw attention to “attempts to divide the races.” Rhodes’ contribution to racial healing at the event was claiming that liberals want to divide Americans by race and prompt another civil war. Manning, for his part, called Obama the “son of Satan” and asked the crowd to join him in yelling, “Sodomites, go to Hell!”

But didn’t Oath Keepers say they were in Ferguson to promote unity? Where’s unity, and where’s the Constitution, in all this?

Take the standoff at the Bundy Ranch, at which heavily armed Oath Keepers and other assorted “patriots” sided with a millionaire rancher who was refusing to pay fees that he legally owed for grazing his cattle on federal land. There’s certainly no constitutional right to break federal law or refuse to pay your bills – unless you adopt rancher Bundy’s radical-right refusal to acknowledge the authority of the federal government altogether. During the Bundy standoff, Oath Keepers founder Rhodes warned that Attorney General Eric Holder had authorized a drone strike on the compound. When that turned out to be false, the group claimed that the rumor itself had been an example of psychological warfare by the federal government.

More from the Bundy episode:

Noting that a number of military veterans joined the armed anti-government protest at the Nevada ranch, Rhodes said that “the politicians and the would-be dictators in Washington, D.C…have to worry if they go too hard, if they drop the hammer too blatantly on Americans like at Bundy Ranch, that the Marine Corps would flip on them. And I think it would. And same goes for the tip of the spear in the Army, Army Airborne, special forces, your Navy SEALs, all of those groups out there, the more hardcore they are as warriors, the more likely they are to look at something like that and say, ‘that’s it, I’m done’ and join the resistance.”

Last year, an Oregon mine owner called in the Oath Keepers to prevent government officials from closing him down before a court could hear his appeal. But the mine owner soon decried the “absolute bullshit” being circulated on social media and said the situation had “taken on a life of its own.” He pleaded with activists to stop calling and threatening the Bureau of Land Management personnel.

Back to Ferguson and the protests that were being held around the anniversary of Michael Brown’s killing. Oath Keepers initially said they were there to protect “journalists” working for Alex Jones’ InfoWars. The connection to Jones is not surprising; he is probably the country’s most energetic promoters of outrageous anti-government conspiracy theories, including his claim that killings at Charleston’s Emanuel AME church were part of a government plot to foment a race war and persecute conservatives.

“This is all a set-up.” Jones agreed: “Oh it is. Look at the priming, look at the preparations…. You can see all of the preparation building towards this, this is the big move, it’s a race war to bring in total chaos and then total federalization with this evil Justice Department, they even got rid of the other attorney general who had baggage, they put the new one in for the political persecutions of conservatives and Christians. They’re dropping the hammer.”

At a 2013 Washington, D.C., rally that right-wing activist Larry Klayman convened for the purpose of forcing Obama to step down as president, an Oath Keeper speaker said that the Department of Homeland Security was behind the Boston bombing and committed murder to cover it up.

Rhodes said this spring that the military exercise called Jade Helm 15 – which right-wing activists warned was going to impose martial law on conservative states – was “conditioning and assessment and vetting” of politicians and members of the armed forces to identify who is willing to go along and “drop the hammer on us.”

Given all this history, Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center, told Gawker’s Andy Cush that he doesn’t buy Oath Keepers’ recent claims to have been in Ferguson to protect protesters.

“I think they realized rather quickly that very few people looked on them kindly, and all of a sudden they became defenders of black protest against police violence,” Potok said. “The reality is they’ve never said anything like that in their entire history. I think it’s ludicrous.”

Barber: Iran Deal Is 'Treason,' Akin To Giving Nukes To Nazi Germany

On Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio program today, Matt Barber attacked the nuclear deal worked out between Iran and United States, the United Kingdom, France, China, Russia and Germany, blasting President Obama for engaging in "treason" and stating that the deal is akin to the United States giving Adolf Hitler nuclear weapons in the middle of World War II.

"There was a time, before we entered this age of lawlessness," Barber said, "where what Obama and John Kerry are doing here and have done here would have been called what it is, would have properly been called treason. This is a president who is aiding and abetting the enemies of the western world, America, Israel, and elsewhere, aiding and abetting them, literally giving them the nuke. This is like Neville Chamberlain on steroids, the difference being that Neville Chamberlain didn't give Hitler nuclear weapons. Obama is doing that to the modern-day Hitler."

"Imagine," he continued, "the United States is negotiating with Hitler, it's 1941, we're at war with Germany and imagine the president goes to Hitler and they get together and he says, 'You know what? I know we're at war with you but here's $700 billion for you to develop more weapons and to allocate in ways that will help you win the war and destroy America and have Naziism become a global phenomenon.' That is the parallel we're seeing here."

"It makes you wonder what possibly can be motivating this president to do this," Barber said. "Does he really hate America that much?"

Anti-Immigrant Sheriff Claims Arpaio Lawsuit Is Attempt To Distract From Obama 'Scandals'

Thomas M. Hodgson, the Bristol County, Massachusetts sheriff who organized a sparsely attended anti-immigrant rally at the U.S. Capitol last year, defended Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio during a radio interview today, saying racial profiling charges against Arpaio are part of the Obama administration’s attempt to vilify “the people who are coming forward and telling the truth to the American people.”

Hodgson joined American Family Association official Sandy Rios on her radio program this morning, where he alleged that the case against Arpaio is just an attempt to distract Americans from Obama administration “scandals.”

“It’s a trend we’ve seen, actually, from this administration with regards to all law enforcement,” he said. “It seems that the people that are doing their job, who are standing up for what’s right are vilified, they’re attacked. We’ve seen it with the IRS scandal, we’ve seen it with all kinds of scandals where the administration was sort of trying to direct attention away from what they were doing and vilifying the people who were coming forward and telling the truth to the American people.”

A Justice Department investigation has found “a pattern or practice of unlawful discriminatory police conduct directed at Latinos in Maricopa County” under Arpaio’s leadership.

Arpaio, the self-proclaimed “toughest sheriff in America,” admitted in March to violating a court order “by continuing to allow sheriff's deputies to make traffic stops based on suspicions about individuals' immigration status.”  He offered to apologize and asked county officials to create a $350,000 fund meant to compensate those he harmed.

Fischer: Obama 'Rude' To Criticize Laws Criminalizing Homosexuality

On Friday, Bryan Fischer blasted President Obama ahead of his trip to Kenya over reports that Obama would use the trip as an opportunity to criticize the country's laws that make homosexuality a crime punishable by up to 14 years imprisonment. Over the weekend, Obama did exactly that, but his criticism was promptly dismissed by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, and now Fischer is outraged that Obama was so "rude" and is heaping praise upon African nations that maintain harsh anti-gay laws.

African leaders, Fischer said on his radio program today, know that "there is something abnormal, there is something immoral, there is something unhealthy, there is something unnatural about homosexual behavior" because the continent has been ravaged by AIDS.

"These political leaders know what homosexual behavior does," he said, and they "want something better for the African people than what homosexual conduct give them."

These leaders do not need someone like Obama lecturing them, Fischer continued, because they "are more enlightened" than the United State on this issue.

"We are smart enough, we are bright enough, we are intelligent enough, we are sane enough to make this kind of behavior contrary to public policy," Fischer said, as he approvingly laid out what he believes the correct African position on this issue to be. "We're not going to embrace it, we're not going to promote it, we're not even going to make it legal."

Nevertheless, President Obama went to Kenya and criticized laws criminalizing homosexuality which, Fischer said, "in my mind just makes him rude."

Beck: The Obamas Hate America Because They Never Accomplished Anything On Their Own And Still Answer To 'The Man'

Nobody quite infuriates Glenn Beck like First Lady Michelle Obama, whom he has attacked in the past as "a monster" who is "nuts," and his fury is generally unleashed whenever she dares to mention this nation's struggle with racism, which he inevitably interprets as her showing nothing but contempt and hatred for America.

Discussions of race have played a key role in several of the commencement addresses that the first lady has delivered in recent weeks and Beck grew predictably outraged on his radio program today as he spelled out his theory that Barack and Michelle Obama hate America so much because they know that they never accomplished anything on their own and therefore feel like they are still being controlled by "the man."

"I think honestly that some of their saying, 'You can't make it, you can't make it' is because they didn't make it on their own," Beck said. "They didn't. They made it through George Soros and the Tides Foundation and everything else. They were picked up by people who said, 'That one, that guy, that couple.' They were shaped by the collective. He's not a scrappy guy who made it on his own. He's a scrappy guy that said the right things, did the right things."

"Look at what he said he was going to do and what he's done," Beck continued. "He answers to a lot of people, so I think that they think they didn't really make it on their own. They're still working for the man."

Scott Lively: 'Obama Orchestrated The Ukraine Coup' To Undermine Putin's Anti-Gay Efforts

Virulently anti-gay activist Scott Lively has long been a vocal supporter of Vladimir Putin's crackdown on gay rights, declaring that passage of Russia's anti-gay legislation was "one of the proudest achievements of my career" and even promising to run for Congress on a platform rooted in defending and supporting Russia's anti-gay crackdown.

So we were not surprised to see that Lively is out with a new piece claiming that President Obama "orchestrated the Ukraine coup" in an effort to undermine Putin's stand against the "international LGBT political steamroller," even at the risk of starting a nuclear war:

I have come to believe that Obama orchestrated the Ukraine coup to re-start the cold war to prevent Russia from leading a global revolt against his most sacred cow, the LGBT agenda. While there were clearly important geo-political factors in Obama’s decision to initiate regime change in Ukraine, I am convinced that the primary impetus was to nip opposition to the international LGBT political steamroller in the bud ... Unfortunately, Obama’s strategy has worked and Russia has been forced from its former trajectory toward global cooperation with the west into an increasingly adversarial posture as Obama and the GOP Establishment Neo-Cons (united by perversion) continue to portray Russia as a pariah state while simultaneously attempting “regime change“ within its borders.

I believe a consequence of the “punish Russia” strategy is (dangerously for Israel) the transformation of Iran into the key player of the Middle East and the US has been forced to become a suitor (e.g. the sweetheart nuke deal) to our “former” arch-enemy in an attempt to thwart the strengthening of Russian/Iranian relations as Russia turns eastward away from the cold shoulder of the west. And, of course, (dangerously for us) Russian/Chinese relations have warmed considerably for the same reason.

I place the blame for this disturbing transformation squarely at the feet of Obama, whose allegiance to the LGBT agenda supersedes all other concerns, even the very real and growing risk of nuclear war.

I still believe that Russia offers an albeit imperfect model for the west on standing up to the Cultural Marxists but with the US push toward revival of the cold war, the incessant anti-Russian propaganda in the western media, and Russia’s increasing political shift to the east, I hold less hope for an international Russian-led cultural revolution in family values.

Ironically, however, if any hope remains, it may be kept alive by Ukraine, itself. As an astute political observer of my acquaintance recently noted, Kiev thought the West offered them bread but instead gave them LGBT propaganda. Now Ukrainians are protesting in the streets against the “gay” agenda.

Obama might yet fail in poisoning the western world against Russia, as he has failed in so many areas of foreign policy. I for one would like to see a restoration of the cooperative trends we saw in US/Russian relations before Obama decided to sabotage them, and in the aftermath of that failure I think unity on family values would go a long way toward healing the rift he has exacerbated between Russia and Ukraine and toward weakening the US/EU perversion agenda in the rest of Eastern Europe and the Baltics.

Fischer: Obama's Racist War Against White Police Officers To Blame For McKinney Pool Party Incident

After spending a segment purportedly providing the "real story" behind the recent video showing a white Texas police officer slamming a young black girl to the ground and pulling his gun on others attending a pool party, Bryan Fischer explained on his radio program today that President Obama is really the one to blame for these sorts of violent confrontations because he "has been waging war" against white police officers from the moment he took office.

As Fischer sees it, Obama has "created this template where if its a white cop and it's a black citizen, the cop is a racist, the cop is an abuser, and you are a victim."

Such an environment, Fischer said, "shortens the fuse" of black people when it comes to interacting with white police officers, all because Obama "is encouraging people to form their opinion of somebody based not on the content of their character or the nature of their conduct, but the color of their skin."

"That's just racism," he said. "That's the only way that you can describe that."

Fischer: President Obama Animated By The Same 'Spirit And Energy' As The Antichrist

Bryan Fischer was predictably outraged by the announcement that President Obama will oppose the use of ex-gay "conversion" therapy on young people, declaring on his radio program today that by doing so, Obama is "guilty of child abuse" and animated by the spirit of the Antichrist.

"There is something profoundly and fundamentally anti-Christ about President Obama," Fischer said, while making it clear that he was not saying that Obama is actual the Antichrist. "What I am saying is that the same energy, the same spirit that will one day animate the Antichrist is the spirit and the energy that is at work today in President Obama":

Fischer: Obama Wants Clinton To Lose So He Can Continue To Weaken America

As we have noted before, as long as Bryan Fischer has some source that he can cite, he is willing to treat even the most unverified and baseless statements as fact, so long as they support his agenda or conspiracy theories.

Fischer demonstrated this trait once again on his radio program yesterday, citing the bogus claim put forth by discredited right-wing journalist Ed Klein that White House adviser Valerie Jarrett was responsible for leaking the Hillary Clinton email story to the media as evidence of his theory that President Obama doesn't want Clinton to become the next president so that he can continue his efforts to destroy America.

As Fischer sees it, since Obama's mission is to weaken and undermine America, he will be better positioned to continue doing that once he is out of office if there is a Republican in the White House.

"He can criticize at will," Fischer said. "He can tee off, he can complain, he can whine, he can condemn, he can criticize, he can fly all over the world as a former president, running down this country to anybody who will pay him a handsome fee to come and speak."

"If his agenda is to weaken this country," he continued, "if his agenda is to transform this country into something that you and I don't recognize, I believe he feels he can do that better if Hillary Clinton loses than if Hillary Clinton wins. I think this is all about President Obama wanting to preserve his ability to continue to be a community agitator":

Tony Perkins: Obama Immigration Order Inviting Terror Attacks on US Christians

A direct mail letter from FRC Action dated February 2015 features a shadowy outline of a machine-gun-wielding terrorist with the warning:

TERRORISM: no longer “out there”

How they’re become a threat to YOU and your family

Inside, the letter from Family Research Council President Tony Perkins connects the Charlie Hebdo killings in Paris, the attacks on Coptic Christians in the Middle East, and what he calls the Obama administration’s “illegal amnesty program.”  Perkins warns that “it is clear that American families are being placed in serious danger by President Obama’s illegal executive order on immigration.”

After discussing ISIS efforts to recruit American Muslims, Perkins states:

It is clear that some people are coming across the border with ulterior motives—not simply looking for working in hopes of sending money home to their families. These are not simply rumors from news reports; I have this firsthand from people in government and in organizations focused on national security.

Perkins even manages to work in marriage equality:

This President refuses to acknowledge that there is evil in the world. Terrorists are not simply people who grew up in bad neighborhoods and developed bad attitudes. These are people who want to kill us.

President Obama holds a worldview – and a view of America – that puts everything we value at risk. In the same way that he shrugs off a radical redefinition of marriage, in the same way that he shrugs off the persecution of Christians in other countries (and adopts policies that contribute to it in our own country), he minimizes the threat of Islamic terrorists.

And by connecting these threats to what he calls the administration’s “lawlessness,” Perkins is even able to work in Obamacare.

Perkins ends with a P.S.:

As “People of the Cross,” it is clear that you and I have been targeted by the terrorists. It is no longer a vague “concern.” It is a very real threat. Our President is not protecting us. We must move Congress to ensure your safety and the safety of your children and grandchildren. We will fight for you on Capitol Hill. Please help us. Give generously today. Thank you again.

Franklin Graham Says That Obama's Mother 'Must Have Been A Muslim'

Franklin Graham was a guest on the Family Research Council's "Washington Watch" radio program yesterday where he asserted that President Obama is refusing to fight ISIS because he wants to protect Islam since even his mother was a Muslim.

Ignoring the fact that Obama's father was an atheist and his mother agnostic, Graham told FRC head Tony Perkins that "one of the problems we have [is that Obama's] father was a Muslim, and his step-father was a Muslim. [He] lived in Indonesia and went to Muslim schools. His mother must have been a Muslim — we don't know that, but she married two Muslim men, so there must have been something there. And the framework that the president has growing up, his influences in his life was that of Islam."

"My influences growing up, as many in this country, were under the Christian influence and the biblical influence," he continued. "But our president did not have that, it was Islam and many feel that he's protecting Islam. I don't know that, but it certainly seems that way":

Birther Joseph Farah Wants PFAW Help To Block Third Obama Term. Let’s Make A Deal.

Last Friday, Miranda noted that birther, conspiracy theorist par excellence, and WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah was publicizing one of the more ridiculous right-wing scare-stories: that President Obama will refuse to leave the White House after his second term is over in January 2017. Farah said in a column last week that “there’s great concern” about the possibility “out there across the fruited plain.”

In classic Fox News and far-right trolling style, Farah said he didn’t actually believe Obama would refuse to leave office, but was just asking questions: why should we should take a departure for granted given what he calls Obama’s “contempt of the law” and “disrespect for American tradition” – and “the ever-present reality that Obama himself may not even be constitutionally eligible for office.”

Farah was seemingly not pleased that RWW poked fun at his column, responding over the weekend with an appeal to another unimpeachable source of information on the president’s plans, Rush Limbaugh.  Limbaugh, says Farah, responded to a Friday caller raising the same question by spinning out a hypothetical scenario in which Obama refuses to go. Here’s Limbaugh:

“So as a service to the nation, he is going to forget the 22nd Amendment and either not leave office or run for re-election himself as the Democrat nominee. Just imagine that scenario. I don’t care how unreal it sounds, how unbelievable it sounds. Imagine it.

What would anybody do? What would Mitch McConnell do? What would John Boehner do?

Adds Farah,

“There’s simply no organized opposition to Obama’s illegal, criminal actions and behavior. He’s getting away with all of it. There are no serious repercussions. No political price. No major media opposition. Few judicial rulings that worry him. Not one political, religious or social institution that is holding him accountable – least of all the Republican Party."

Farah was apparently bothered that Miranda’s RWW post did not include a pledge that People For the American Way would “use all of its influence and legal firepower” to stop Obama from chucking the Constitution in a White House power-grab. Of course we don’t take the possibility seriously, but since Farah seems to, let’s offer him a proposition: If President Obama refuses to allow a constitutional transfer of power to his successor, we will join you at the barricades. If the American republic miraculously survives, you will stop polluting the public discourse with toxic nonsense. Deal?

Staver: Obama Is Turning America Into An Enemy Of God By Failing To Support Israel

For the last several weeks, Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver has been warning that President Obama is bringing a curse upon America by supposedly being insufficiently supportive of the state of Israel. With Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set to deliver a speech to Congress tomorrow despite White House objections, Staver has stepped up his efforts, penning a piece today in which he accuses Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry of seeking the "destruction of the Jewish state" and warns that America is becoming an enemy of God:

Barack Obama obviously does not understand the potential fallout from his administration’s dangerous actions. The Bible says that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – Israel’s omnipotent defender – takes very seriously all attempts to harm His people, the Jews. In the book of Joel, we read that God will ultimately judge the nations that try to divide the land of Israel – something the Obama White House has consistently proposed. And Zechariah 12:9 plainly says, “I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”

Recently, Jewish rabbis, representing the Committee to Save the Land and People of Israel, rightly called the Obama administration’s actions “a declaration of war against the Creator and Ruler of the universe.” But, as the rabbis point out, it’s not Israel that will ultimately pay the price; it’s the enemies of God.

Liberty Counsel holds that America has been blessed by God because our national policy has been favorable toward the nation of Israel since its founding in 1948. If we allow the Obama administration to subvert this policy, a price will be paid!

I don’t want this nation, which was founded as one nation under God, to become the enemy of God’s people.

The Scriptures tell us to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem." There has never been a time when we needed to do this more! The Holy City is under threat from hostile neighbors next door and others like Iran, with its potential for nuclear missiles, just a thousand miles away. At a time when our President and Secretary of State should be doing all they can to support Israel, Barack Obama and John Kerry are aiding Israel’s and America’s enemies instead!

For good measure, Matt Barber warned on a recent episode of Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio show that Obama's failure to support Israel means that he is "an enemy within" and "the greatest threat to American national security that we face":

Beck: Obama Is Incapable Of Having A 'Deep, Stirring Love' Of America

Glenn Beck kicked off today's radio broadcast by not only defending Rudy Giuliani's recent statement that President Obama doesn't love America, but taking it a step further by declaring that Obama is fundamentally incapable of loving America, at least in the same way that real Americans like Glenn Beck love this country.

"I differ from Rudy Giuliani," Beck said. "I don't think that [Obama] can love America the way we love America because of his upbringing ... I don't think he loves America. I think he likes America."

Beck went on to argue that Obama loves America in the same way that Beck "loves" Great Britain, by which he meant that while he likes Great Britain, he does not "have that deep, stirring love" for it that he does for America.

"I have a deep love for the heritage of this nation," Beck said. "This president doesn't have that deep love of the heritage of our nation":

Barton Claims That Obama Has Repeatedly Released Secret Israeli Intelligence To Benefit The Muslim Brotherhood

David Barton was a guest this morning on the American Family Association's "Today's Issues" radio program where he explained to the right-wing audience that in order to understand President Obama's foreign policy, one simply has to ask the question: What does the Muslim Brotherhood want?

As Barton explained it, 95 percent of Obama's foreign policy decisions regarding the Middle East can be summed up by the phrase, "If the Muslim Brotherhood would be for it, [Obama] is for it; if they're against it he's against it."

As "proof" of this, Barton went on to claim that on seven separate occasions, Obama "has publicly leaked to the media secret intelligence from Israel about what they were doing to stop terrorism," especially regarding Iran.

"On seven occasions, he has leaked secret intelligence about what Israel is about to do in Iran or elsewhere and released that to the Muslim world," he claimed. "I scratch my head and say, 'How can you do that to your closest ally, release their top secret intelligence on what they're about to do?' And the answer is: Muslim Brotherhood would do it and so he does."

As usual, Barton did not actually provide any evidence to support this claim other than his own "research," so it is impossible to know what he is even referencing or how he would explain the millions of dollars in U.S. aid to the al-Sisi government in Egypt, which has vowed to destroy the Muslim Brotherhood.

UPDATE: On the February 23 edition of his "WallBuilders Live" radio program, Barton finally provided some "evidence" to back up his claims, though he only managed to cite four specific instances, most of which do not prove his point at all:

The first instance Barton cited was a report from 2010 that revealed that Saudi Arabia had agreed to allow Israeli bombers to pass over the country in the event that Israel was going to carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. According to the article, a "U.S. defense source in the Persian Gulf" revealed that the plan "has all been done with the agreement of the State Department." Why the Obama administration would seek to undermine Israel by leaking details on an agreement that it had reportedly approved is not something that Barton ever explained.

The second instance Barton cited was a 2012 instance in which the Obama administration supposedly leaked to the New York Times information "on war exercises that Israel was doing, practicing a strike on Iran's nuclear facilities." Of course, if you read the article in question, it focused on a simulation run by the U.S. military on the ramifications of an Israeli strike on Iran, which concluded that such an attack would draw the U.S. into a large regional conflict.

The article did not, as Barton claimed, reveal Israeli war plans, but rather the results of a U.S. simulation of what could happen in the wake of an Israeli attack.

The third instance that Barton cited — a 2012 ABC News piece that reported that analysts in Israel were "accusing the Obama administration leaking information to pressure Israel not to bomb Iran and for Iran to reach a compromise in upcoming nuclear talks" — is the only one that says what Barton claims it says.

The final example that Barton cited was an April 2012 article in the New Yorker which he claimed contained leaked information from the U.S. that revealed that "the Israeli intelligence agency was helping fund and train the Iranian opposition ... the more moderates to help take out that administration."

The article in question was a Seymour Hersh piece reporting that the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command had been training "members of the Mujahideen-e-Khalq, a dissident Iranian opposition group known in the West as the M.E.K," despite the fact that the M.E.K is designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department. Among the material contained in the Hersh article was information from an earlier NBC report that that several Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated since 2007, presumably by members of the M.E.K who were trained and financed by the Israeli Mossad.

As far as we can tell, outside of possibly the 2012 ABC News piece, not one of these articles cited by Barton actually contains evidence that the Obama administration has "publicly leaked to the media secret intelligence from Israel"  as he originally claimed.

Fischer: Obama's Support For Gay Marriage Was A Declaration That He Is No Longer A Christian

On his radio program today, Bryan Fischer discussed David Axelrod's claim in his new book that President Obama concealed his support for gay marriage when running for office for political reasons, a claim which Obama disputes.

Fischer's main takeaway from the whole episode, of course, is that what President Obama was really doing in eventually announcing his support for gay marriage was declaring that he was not a Christian.

"Think about this for a second," Fischer said. "President Obama said several times, 'The reason I believe that marriage is a union of one man and one woman is because I am a Christian.' So what does it mean, what are the implications when President Obama says, 'I no longer believe that marriage is a union of one man and one woman'? The implication is, 'I'm no longer a Christian. Christianity teaches marriage is a union of one man and one woman, I used to be one of those, I used to be a Christian, I used to believe in a Christian view of marriage. I don't any longer' ... If you press what Obama's saying there, he would be saying 'look, I'm no longer a Christian'":

Matt Barber Thinks Obama's 'Involvement' In Israel's Election Is An Impeachable Offense

In 2012, Jeremy Bird served as the national field director for President Obama's re-election campaign, after which he co-founded a political consulting firm called 270 Strategies. Recently, Bird and his firm were hired by a nascent political campaign in Israel created to try to defeat the ruling Likud Party in the upcoming elections.

Since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a Likud Party candidate, a defeat for the party would also be a defeat for Netanyahu, and that possibility is an outrage to Matt Barber, who is now logically demanding that President Obama be impeached.

As Barber and Mat Staver explained on today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, because an organization called OneVoice, which has been involved in the effort to replace the Israeli government, received an unrelated grant from the U.S. State Department last year, that means that American tax dollars are now being used to rig the election in Israel.

To make matters even worse in the eyes of Barber and Staver, someone who worked on President Obama's campaign but is now an independent political consultant is also working on that same effort, which can only mean that President Obama is personally leading the effort to defeat Netanyahu and therefore must be impeached.

"What a slap in the face and it shows our allies across the country that the United States cannot be trusted," Barber fumed, claiming that Obama personally sent his "A-Team propagandist hit squad" into Israel to try to defeat Netanyahu.

"It's unconscionable that he would do this. It's unethical and this president needs to be investigated by the United States Senate," Barber continued. "This president just continues to do one impeachable thing after another":

Tony Perkins: 2015 'Most Dangerous Year' For American Christians

As readers of RWW are well aware, Religious Right leaders have adopted a strategy of portraying just about any policy they disagree with as a dire threat to their religious freedom. And they love to portray President Barack Obama as a sinister enemy of religious liberty. Today’s frantic email from the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins is a model of both the Obama-is-evil paradigm and frothing-at-the-mouth alarmism about threats to religious freedom in America.

This money beg has it all: President Obama scheming to turn America into a godless, totalitarian wasteland; ridiculous claims that the administration wants to silence the religious expression of its critics; conspiracy theories about Common Core; and flat-out lies that the administration did nothing to secure the release of Meriam Ibrahim from the Sudanese prison where she had been unjustly held.

Coming from Perkins, none of this is terribly surprising. After all, this is the guy who responded to a Colorado baker being required to abide by the state’s anti-discrimination law by wondering, “When are they going to start rolling out the boxcars to start hauling off Christians?”

To avoid any accusations that we’ve taken Perkins out of context, here’s today’s fundraising letter in full:

January 27, 2015

Dear Peter,

As I wrote to you earlier this month, 2015 could very well be the most dangerous year for Christians in American history!

President Obama seems willing to do anything to further his radical agenda—even if it means violating the Constitution to take away your religious freedom.

This President has clearly placed the religious freedom of millions of Christians like you in his sights. Why? You are among the people who are standing in the gap against his radical plans to transform America into a godless, secular country where government reigns supreme.

In these evil days it is more important than ever that you stand your ground for religious freedom!

Can I count on your continued prayers for FRC and our staff in 2015? And can I count on you to make a special financial contribution to the work of FRC?

2015 could very well be a make-or-break year for the future of religious liberty in America. Between now and 2016, President Obama, who knows his time to "leave his mark on history" is growing short, will go all-out. He will use the unlimited resources at his disposal in a drive to attempt to . . .

  • PUNISH Christians for opposing same-sex "marriage";

  • FORCE pro-life people to fund abortions through ObamaCare;

  • INDOCTRINATE your children with the help of Common Core;

  • BAN religious expression and free speech when it conflicts with federal speech regulations; and

  • STOP Christian-owned businesses from doing business with the government because they will not embrace the homosexual agenda.

President Obama and his supporters wrongly believe that our rights as Christian citizens are granted by, and can therefore be repealed, by government. They do not believe, as you and I do, or even as our Founding Fathers did, that . . .

Our rights are inalienable because they come from God.

We will never compromise on that truth. And that's why we can win so many of the showdowns. Truth has power when people of faith stand up for it. With God's help and your faithful support, FRC has been able to . . .

  • FREE persecuted overseas Christians, even when our own government would not—Christians such as Mariam Ibraheem who was imprisoned for her faith;

  • DEFEND the religious liberty of the brave servicemen and women in the U.S. military who are persecuted and punished because they publicly affirm their Christian values;

  • PROTECT employers and employees forced to leave their faith at the door when they enter public service;

  • UPHOLD natural marriage while countering the pro-homosexual agenda which wants to silence Christians and their objections to same-sex "marriage";

  • PRESSURE Congress to officially protect religious freedom and oppose the President's unconstitutional power grab; and

  • EXPOSE the relentless assault on religious liberty that has largely been ignored by the mainstream media.

Thanks to champions of freedom like you . . . No organization has done more to preserve religious freedom in Washington, D.C., than FRC!

But there is still much, much more that must be done to stop the assault on religious freedom that threatens the very future of our nation. I won't mince words: All of us must redouble our efforts to meet the incredible challenges ahead of us.

Your gift today is essential if we are to stop the assaults on religious freedom and reclaim those liberties already lost.

One of my heroes was 18th century conservative, Edmund Burke. In the British Parliament, he fought slavery and actually supported the American Revolution. A man of faith, he is credited with saying, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

Today, I urge you to do something. Something great. Something lasting. Something having immediate yet ongoing impact. You achieve that when you financially stand with FRC. Thank you for refusing to sit by and "do nothing."

Standing (Ephesians 6:13),

Tony Perkins
President

P.S. Please renew your support to help FRC start 2015 strongly. Thank you. God bless you.

Fischer: You Can't Support Gay Rights 'And Call Yourself A Follower Of Christ'

On Friday's radio broadcast, Bryan Fischer took a call from a listener who demanded to know why nobody on the American Family Radio network will declare that President Obama is not a Christian. We have no idea what programs this caller is listening to if he thinks that nobody on AFR is willing to say that Obama is not a Christian, because we hear the various hosts saying this exact thing all the time.

Fischer, of course, was more than happy to acquiesce to the caller's demand and declare that Obama "is not a sincerely devoted follower of Jesus Christ so, in my mind, that means he's not a Christian."

And Fischer knows this, he said, because "nobody can support and promote and celebrate homosexual behavior who is a sincerely devoted follower of Christ. It's impossible, because Christ and his apostles made it very clear that that's a sin. You can't celebrate that, can't promote that and call yourself a follower of Christ."

While Fischer was, for some reason, unwilling to declare that Obama is actually a Muslim, he nonetheless insisted that everyone in Washington, D.C. knows that he is.

"He walks like a Muslim. He talks like a Muslim. He sounds like a Muslim. He acts like a Muslim," Fischer said. "Jesus said 'by your fruits, you shall know them' and at some point people are going to start connecting those dots":

For generations, Alaskans have referred to the nation's highest peak as "Denali," even after the federal government renamed it after President William McKinley back in 1917, and so the White House announced today that the National Parks Service will be restoring the mountain's original name, a move that was championed by the state's two Republican senators and lauded by its governor. But according to Bryan Fischer, there was another reason for the change: President McKinley was a white Republican American ... and those are the three things that President Obama hates the... MORE

The Oath Keepers, the group that helped provoke the heavily armed standoff with federal officials at the Bundy Ranch last year, made some news last week when they showed up in Ferguson, Missouri, wearing body armor and carrying assault weapons. Now, the head of the group’s St. Louis County chapter says he’s angry that his men were “discredited” by the county police chief – he called their presence “unnecessary and inflammatory” – and the Oath Keepers are planning to signal their displeasure by arming 50 black demonstrators with AR-15 assault... "There was a time, before we entered this age of lawlessness," Barber said, "where what Obama and John Kerry are doing here and have done here would have been called what it is, would have... MORE

Thomas M. Hodgson, the Bristol County, Massachusetts sheriff who organized a sparsely attended anti-immigrant rally at the U.S. Capitol last year, defended Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio during a radio interview today, saying racial profiling charges against Arpaio are part of the Obama administration’s attempt to vilify “the people who are coming forward and telling the truth to the American people.” Hodgson joined American Family Association official Sandy Rios on her radio program this morning, where he alleged that the case against Arpaio is just an attempt... African leaders, Fischer said on his radio program today, know that "there is... MORE

Discussions of race have played a key role in several of the commencement addresses that the first lady has delivered in recent weeks and Beck grew predictably outraged on his radio program today as he spelled out his theory that Barack and Michelle... So we were not surprised to see that Lively is out with a new piece claiming that President Obama "orchestrated the Ukraine coup" in an effort to undermine Putin's stand against the "international LGBT political...
