President Barack Obama

Two Million Bikers Fall 99.9% Short

The group Two Million Bikers to DC organized its second annual rally on the National Mall yesterday, which, like its predecessor, fell far short of the goal expressed in the group’s name. Organizers said the event was meant to honor people killed in the 9/11 attacks as well as first responders and veterans – presumably that’s how they sold it to corporate sponsor Budweiser – but rally speakers also used the event to rail against President Barack Obama, Congress, and an array of right-wing targets, including gun control, Common Core educational standards, the EPA, regulation of small businesses, the destruction of free enterprise, the Bundy Ranch standoff between the BLM and armed protestors, and Obama’s purportedly fraudulent re-election.

Although organizers got pre-event press promising “thousands” of bikers – not 2 million – descending on the nation’s capital, I didn’t see more than a couple hundred at the event’s peak. Fewer than 50 were left to hear the final speakers. More than one speaker took note of the dispiritingly small crowd.

Those who made it to the Mall did get to hear some personal remembrances of 9-11 from a New York firefighter, a paramedic, and a clergyman who worked at Ground Zero, and a mother whose son joined the military in the wake of 9/11 and was killed overseas.

But uniting them and other speakers was hostility toward the Obama administration and anger at the perception that the president will not clearly identify Islamist extremism as the nation’s enemy. Among the conspiracy theories heard from the podium were the claim from Second Amendment activist and self-described “gun chick” Jan Morgan that the U.N. small arms treaty was about disarming Americans, and the assertion by “Pope” Dan Johnson that “NATO came together in a meeting and this administration signed that NATO pact to tell Christians or to tell any religion what they can and cannot do.” Morgan said she didn’t believe Obama had actually won re-election because she knows about votes counted in Barcelona, Spain, and dead people who voted six times.

Johnson, a Kentucky coordinator for the biker group, contrasted his remarks with Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. “I have a nightmare,” he yelled. America, he said, is living a nightmare at Ground Zero and a nightmare in the White House. The mother of a fallen serviceman said of President Obama, “We must get rid of him…we must get him out of our White House before he takes this nation down.”

Right-wing pundit Wayne Dupree railed against the media, which he said has given Obama a pass for six years. He complained that conservative activists have been demonized as racists. “This administration is racist,” he said. “Everybody in there is racist.”

“Entertainment” was provided by Madison Rising, a metal band that played songs they describe as patriotic. One in their first set contained the chorus, “We don't want to have to bring out guns but we're ready if it goes there.” That sort of rhetoric mirrors the theme of Larry Klayman’s failed revolutionary rally in D.C. last year, at which Two Million Bikers organizer Belinda Bee spoke. Manny Vega, a Marine vet and self-described “Three Percenter” also spoke at both rallies.

Vega, who as one of the final speakers faced a very sparse crowd, seemed bummed out by the small turnout. “There should be millions of people,” he said, recalling photos of Vietnam War protests filling the entire mall. “What are we doing? A couple patriots out here.” Vega said more truck drivers, waitresses, bikers, and mechanics need to get involved and get elected.

“I’ll be damned if I am 30 years old and I’m cursing the politicians in that Capitol Hill. My son’s going to be 30 years old gearing up, buying weapons, buying their armored vests. Who’d have thought that we’d live in a country where the American citizens are arming up to fight a tyrannical government, ‘cuz that is what it is. Who’d have thought? How many people here have aligned themselves with militias or are already prepping to go to war with the federal government? [Someone shouted ‘don’t raise your hands,’ but some folks did] To go to war? Who should go to war?  No American citizen should go to war. I’ll tell you something, it’s changed. The relationship between the people and those bastards over there that are supposedly supposed to represent us. And they are not doing it.”

The event was also sponsored by Dinesh D’Souza’s “America: Imagine the World Without Her.” The day before the rally, D’Souza tweeted, “On 9/11 anniversary tomorrow I am speaking at huge biker rally on the national mall in Washington DC.” He sold some books -- nothing close to the huge number that his optimistic publisher had brought– and took pictures with fans. Unfortunately, I missed D’Souza’s comments when I took a break, but based on the speaker who followed him, part of D’Souza’s speech was spent slamming President Obama’s recent remarks about ISIS/ISIL.

McFarland: Obama Voters 'Need To Get On Their Knees And Ask God's Forgiveness'

Alex McFarland is a Christian apologist who hosts a radio program on the American Family Association's radio network and serves as director of Center for Christian Worldview and Apologetics at North Greenville University, where he occasionally organizes right-wing conferences featuring speakers like of David Barton, Ben Carson, and Todd Starnes.

In a piece published on Charisma today, McFarland reiterated his belief that Barack Obama's presidency is God's judgment upon this nation, saying that everyone who voted for him must fall on their needs and beg for God's forgiveness:

We have a president today who has not only fundamentally violated his oath of office to uphold the U.S. Constitution but has also actually acted against our nation and our national interests. These aren't opinions; they are facts. And the American people need to be aware of them.

...

These are not simply political issues or political differences. They are fundamental worldview issues. What do we believe about life? What do we believe about liberty? Any president who believes the sanctity of life is nonexistent, the rule of law noncritical and the sovereignty of America nonessential is a president whose administration is without redemption. And the consequences our nation and the world are suffering may very well be evidence of God's judgment against a nation that has rejected Him.

As in 1776, this is not a time for inaction; it's a time for fervent prayer and repentance across our nation.  Those who supported this presidency—either through ignorance or through malicious intent—have supported the taking of human life, the rejection of Israel's right to defend itself, and the promotion of homosexuality to the detriment of the family. And those who supported these things need to get on their knees and ask God's forgiveness for violating His Word and to pray for His mercy on our nation.

And we as a nation need to corporately turn to God, repent and pray for constitutional and moral leadership that honors God's Word. Anything less will mean more Americans will die, more families will be destroyed, and the world will become a more dangerous place for life and liberty. And that is a tragedy none of us should be willing to accept.

Dr. Bryan Fischer Declares That President Obama Is A 'Pathological Narcissist'

On his radio show today, Bryan Fischer stated that he read an article last week about the characteristics of a person who is pathologically narcissistic and couldn't help but conclude that President Obama easily met that description.

Reacting to Obama's interview on "Meet The Press" this weekend in which he admitted that going golfing after delivering a statement on the murder of James Foley might have looked bad, Fischer was reminded of the piece he read last week that described narcissists as people with big egos who are highly sensitive to criticism and who are isolated because they do not believe that anyone else is worthy of sharing their company.

"You start reading this description of a pathological narcissist," Fischer concluded, "and it's just virtually impossible not to wonder how much of that applies to our president, because it sounds so familiar":

Starnes: Obama Won't Confront ISIS Because He Is 'Accommodating The Islamic Faith At The Expense Of All Other Faiths'

Todd Starnes called into Alice Stewart's radio show today to discuss a report from Fox News claiming that President Obama had been briefed on ISIS for over a year but took no action, with Starnes citing this report as evidence that Obama is refusing to confront radical Islamic groups because he favors Islam over Christianity.

Stewart warned that Obama is letting militant groups rise throughout the Middle East as "just the first step in the Islamification of America" and Starnes agreed, saying that "this may very well be the subject of my next book."

"The soft targets in this country are the churches," Starnes said, "and we do know that the terrorists are living among us; it's just a matter of when they are going to strike and who they're going to strike. If nothing else, and this is going to be a very controversial statement, but looking at the evidence we have, this president's administration seems to be accommodating the Islamic faith at the expense of all other faiths and that is a troubling thing. This needs to nipped in the bud. The president needs to put on the big boy pants and he needs to do the job that he was elected to do, which is to protect our country from the bad guys."

"This is the worst example of bullying of Christians there is," Stewart added, "and we have no strategy whatsoever to deal with it":

Fischer: Obama's Tan Suit 'Is Not Presidential Dress'

Bryan Fischer was very disappointed in President Obama choice of attire during yesterday's press conference, saying that his suit demonstrated that Obama simply "does not take the responsibilities of the office of the presidency seriously."

"This is not presidential dress. It's not professional," Fischer declared, asserting that President Ronald Reagan had so much respect for the office that he would not even take off his suit coat while he was in the Oval Office:

The myth about Reagan is, of course, totally false ... as is, apparently, Fischer's claim that wearing a tan suit is somehow unpresidential:

Fischer: Valerie Jarrett Ordered Bin Laden Raid Without Even Consulting President Obama

On his radio broadcast yesterday, Bryan Fischer eagerly helped spread the emerging right-wing narrative that murdered journalist James Foley could have easily been rescued but President Obama was too busy playing golf to approve the rescue mission in time to save him.

But in Fischer's telling, the tale grew even more bizarre when he then asserted that it was really White House advisor Valerie Jarrett who ordered the raid that killed Osama bin Laden and did so without even telling President Obama.

"The best information we have," Fischer stated, "is that Valerie Jarrett pulled the trigger and told the Seal Team Six 'you got to go in and get him.' It was Valerie Jarrett that said 'look, we have an opportunity here, we can't afford to pass up this opportunity. I'm not even going to consult with Barack Obama. I'm not even going to consult with the president on this one, he's out playing golf, I'm just going to give the go signal' ... So Valerie Jarrett was functioning as the de facto Commander in Chief":

While this bizarre theory plays into Fischer's long-held belief that President Obama was so uninvolved in the Bin Laden raid that he had to be Photoshopped into the iconic photo of the situation room, it rather conflicts with the other right-wing conspiracy theory that it was Jarrett who repeatedly thwarted attempts to capture or kill Bin Laden.

That claim is not true either, but Fischer ought to at least try a little harder to get his conspiracy theories straight.

Bryan Fischer Says Black Community Must Be Outraged That Obama 'Just Doesn't Seem To Care' About Them

When President Obama dared to share this thoughts and concerns following events like the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates or the murder of Trayvon Martin, the near universal response from the Right was to blast him for supposedly forcing himself into the situation and exacerbating racial tensions.

But in the case of the situation in Ferguson, Missouri, the response from the Right seems to be to blast Obama for not having spoken out sooner and more forcefully, with Bryan Fischer declaring today that Obama seems to think that his presidency is nothing more than a game of "Sim City" in which he doesn't care about the people who are hurt by his complete and utter disinterest because there is not an ounce of humanity within him.

The black community, Fischer asserted, must be especially disgusted that Obama "just doesn't seem to care" about them.

"Here's the first black president," he said, "the black community had so much hope. A post-racial president, he's going to heal all of these racial divisions. Here is a black president who seems blissfully unconcerned that a largely black community is going up in flames. He has to be dragged to the podium after three days and riots to say a word about the situation. And so it would seem to me that they would have a hard time not thinking, look, this is a president, despite his skin color, despite the fact that he may identify with us ethnically, he just doesn't seem to care":

Steve King Says God Will Use The Next GOP President 'To Restore The Soul Of America'

Rep. Steve King called into Glenn Beck's radio program this morning to discuss his confrontation last week with advocates of immigration reform. During the interview, King told Beck that it is vitally important for House Republicans to rein in President Obama for the remainder of his term so that he cannot destroy America before this nation can elect a new president "whom God will use to restore the soul of America."

Saying that Republicans cannot "unilaterally disarm" by taking the threat of impeachment off the table, King declared that the GOP must work to "restrain this president so that he doesn't do serious destructive damage to our constitution" in order to allow this nation to "limp our way through his terms of office."

After Obama has been restrained, the GOP can then work on "identifying, lifting up, and raising up, and nominating, and electing the next President of the United States whom God will use to restore the soul of America."

"If we fall short in that," King warned, "in my lifetime, I don't expect to see this country put back on its rails again":

Mat Staver Calls For Obama's Impeachment Over Anti-Discrimination Executive Order

On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Liberty Counsel chairman Mat Staver called for President Obama to be impeached for having recently signed an executive order banning companies that receive federal contracts from discriminating against employees based on sexual orientation and gender identity, saying that Obama is a dictator who thinks that he is above the law.

"He is literally taking upon himself powers that are not conferred to the president of the United States," Staver declared. "The president can't, through executive order, just bypass Congress and that's what he's doing. This is reprehensible. This is a dictatorship. This is a fiefdom that he is doing and he needs to be stopped. He needs to literally be impeached ... He just simply thinks he is a king and the Constitution is a pesky document. This is a man that needs to be impeached. He does not deserve to be the president of the United States of America":

Fischer: Obama 'Happy' To Return Taliban Fighters To The Battle Field Because They Share The 'Same Objective'

On his radio broadcast yesterday, Bryan Fischer declared that President Obama is eager to release members of the Taliban from Guantanamo Bay so that they can go back into battle against the United States since both he and the Taliban share the "same objective" of destroying America.

Fischer said that Obama actually seemed "happy about" the prospect of released Taliban fighters returning to the battlefield and that is because "the purpose of the Taliban is to defeat America and [Obama] believes that America needs to be punished."

"Since that's the same objective as the Taliban has," Fischer said, "that's why he really doesn't have a problem releasing them back into the field of battle":

Todd Starnes 'Cannot Wait For The Day That We Have A President That Loves America'

Todd Starnes appeared on the AFA's "Today's Issues" radio program last week to discuss the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl where he suggested that President Obama has "deserted" the United States of America.

Claiming that Bergdahl is a traitor who had betrayed his country, Starnes declared that "this soldier may not be the only one who has deserted; I think President Obama has deserted his obligations and responsibilities as President of the United States of America."

AFA president Tim Wildmon agreed, asserting that he feels like he is "living in the Twilight Zone" because "it's as if our own president is against our country ... I look at what's going on and I go 'whose side is this guy on?'"

While Wildmon predicted that this story would help the Republicans in the midterm elections because "Democrats are scurrying like rats on a ship that's on fire" to distance themselves from this story, Starnes simply stated that "I cannot wait for the day that we have a president that loves America":

Beck: Bergdahl Release Just A Ploy By Obama ''To Get Everybody To Stop Talking About The VA'

When former CIA Director David Petraeus resigned from office back in 2012 following revelations that he had engaged in an extramarital affair, Glenn Beck knew that the entire thing had been orchestrated in order to discredit the military and distract from coverage of the attack on Benghazi.

Last year, when allegations broke that the IRS had inappropriately targeted conservative political organizations and that the Department of Justice had obtained phone records of Associated Press reporters and editors, Beck was positive that those were also attempts to draw attention away from Benghazi.

On his radio broadcast today, Beck switched things up a bit when it came to discussing the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl as he declared not that it was an effort to distract from Benghazi, but rather an effort by President Obama to distract the media from the VA scandal.

Obama "was starting to look very, very weak because of the VA," Beck said, and so "the only reason why this happened is because the President is trying to get the VA off of the front page of the newspapers. That's all he's doing. He's just trying to get everybody to stop talking about the VA":

Glenn Beck Does Not React Well To Obama's Health Care Victory Lap

These days, Glenn Beck's TV and radio programs are little more than exercises in projection and hypocrisy, so it was no surprise to see him have a complete meltdown on his radio program today over President Obama's remarks yesterday hailing reports that more than seven million people had signed up for health insurance under Obamacare.

Declaring that the seven million figure was obviously phony, Beck flew into a rage against Obama and the "rat bastards" in the media who refuse to hold him accountable for his pathological lying.

"This guy," Beck said of Obama, "you put him in a military uniform, I'm not kidding you, you put him on a balcony in a military uniform, this guy is a full-fledged dictator."

"He's a sociopath!," Beck proclaimed, later in the broadcast. "He's sociopathic!."

Then, after an hour of ranting about Obama and the press and the Republicans, Beck finally snapped and declared that he is "not going to pay attention to these people any more, I am not going to waste my life," screaming that "I have a right to pursue my happiness, I have a right to do what I was born to do!"

"My state of mind is great," he concluded, "'cause I've had enough":

Upon returning from the commercial break, Beck resumed railing against all of these same people while simultaneously asserting that he was done paying attention to them.

Beck: The Obama Administration Is 'Trying To Kill Christian Thought'

On his radio broadcast today, Glenn Beck accused President Obama of lying about what was discussed during the recent meeting he held with Pope Francis, which then set off some extended lecture from Beck about the inevitable failure of socialism whenever and wherever it is tried.

Admitting that the foundational principle at the heart of socialism - give to those in need - is a Judeo-Christian principle, Beck said that it never actually works in practice. There has been plenty of religious groups that have voluntarily tried to implement it, he said, and it has always ended in starvation and disaster, but when governments try to implement socialism, it ends with millions of citizens being murdered.

And that resulted in a declaration from Beck that the Obama administration is "trying to kill all Christian thought," because Christianity is the only thing that prevents a socialist government from murdering its citizens by the tens of thousands.

"They're trying to kill the one thing," Beck warned, "that stops people from saying 'let's kill those people and take their stuff, let's just keep killing people until it does work,' this administration is trying to kill that":

Fischer: 'The Spirit Of The Antichrist Is At Work' In Obama

On his radio broadcast today, Bryan Fischer took some time to reiterate his belief that while President Obama is not technically the Antichrist, he is an antichrist and operates under the "spirit of the Antichrist."

Saying that never in America history has this nation been governed by a leader who was as "aggressively and relentlessly opposed to Christianity" as Obama, Fischer said that doesn't mean that Obama is the Antichrist, but rather that "the spirit of the Antichrist is at work in him":

Jindal: It May Be Time To Revisit The Assumption That Obama Is A Smart Man

It is always entertaining when milquetoast Republican governors who harbor dreams of running for president decide to try to toughen up their image by throwing red meat to the crowd at CPAC. We saw Tim Pawlenty do it several years back and Bobby Jindal do it again today when he kicked off his remarks by sarcastically offering an apology to former president Jimmy Carter for having mistakenly called him the "worst president of this great country in my lifetime."

Apparently having totally forgotten the eight-year debacle that was George W. Bush's presidency, Jindal said the title of worst president now belongs to Obama who, quite frankly, is just not very bright.

"We have long thought and said this president is a smart man," Jinda declared. "It may be time to revisit the assumption":

Barton: Right Wing Worries That Obama Will Grant Himself A Third Term Is Proof That He Is 'Lawless'

On today's "WallBuilders Live" radio program, David Barton responded to a question from a listener asking if he thought that President Obama might declare a state of emergency so that he could cancel the 2016 elections and serve a third term in office.

Barton said that he didn't think that such a scenario was very likely, but used the question to assert that nobody voiced this sort of concern about Presidents Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush. The fact that people are asking such questions now, Barton said, is a sign that Obama is "lawless."

"It's interesting that this is the question that is asked by people when they find their presidents to be lawless," Barton declared. "If you have a president who is not lawless, you don't ask the question. You know that Ronald Reagan is not going to do a third term; he followed the Constitution. You know that George Bush, you may not like all that he did but he stayed with the Constitution in a very public way ... Nobody debated that he was going to change the Constitution for himself, for his own benefit. The fact that you have this question indicates something of the nature of the presidents with whom you're dealing ... Asking the question is the character of the leader who is in office at the time":

Russia 'Is A Freer Country Today Than We Are Here In America'

On yesterday's broadcast, End Times radio host Rick Wiles interviewed right-wing Christian activist Keith Davies (who is also the business partner of anti-Muslim activist Walid Shoebat) about "the ubiquitous evil which has assumed control over region and now even the highest echelons of American government."

As Davies explained, every member of Congress - every single one - has "sold out to the Devil," including even Senator Ted Cruz because he has refused to demand President Obama's imprisonment over the fact that his half-brother is supposedly a terrorist.

"This story on Malik Obama," Davies asserted, "would have any other other president in the past fifty years in chains by now."

The only reason that Obama hasn't been jailed, Wiles sighed, is because "there has been a coup d'etat in this country," but it doesn't come from Russia, as we had always been told it would, but rather it happened internally.

That prompted Davies to declare that "Russia is actually, in many ways, doing the right thing with Islam, they're doing the right thing with homosexuality, they won't tolerate homosexuals in their country," before concluding that "Russia today, in my opinion, is a freer country today than we are here in America":

Barber & Staver: Impeach Obama Because 'High Crimes And Misdemeanors' Means Whatever We Want It To Mean

As Brian noted yesterday, Liberty Counsel has now launched a campaign urging the House of Representatives to file articles of impeachment against President Obama for having supposedly committed multiple high crimes and misdemeanors.

What exactly those "high crimes and misdemeanors" are is kind of hard to say but it doesn't really matter apparently because, as Mat Staver and Matt Barber explained on a recent "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, "high crimes and misdemeanors" means basically whatever Congress says it means at any given time:

Staver: The Constitution refers to high crimes and misdemeanors and when you think of a misdemeanor, you think well there's a specific criminal offense. No, the Constitution throughout its history and through the intent does not refer to these as actual crimes; a high crime and misdemeanor is not an actual misdemeanor in the terms of the criminal sense, or a felony in the terms of a criminal sense, it's whatever Congress says it is at any given time and that has been the case for people accepting bribes or people lying, like President Bill Clinton, he lied to the American people. That was an impeachable offense.

...

Barber: You know, high crimes and misdemeanors is a relatively subjective analysis that Congress is supposed to reasonably make. As you point out, there's not a clear definition, there's not an itemization of things that reach the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. That's left up to the discretion of Congress to look at and if you look at this president's long list of abuses of power, or lying to the American people, of intimidation, or bullying, of selective enforcement of the laws. All of those things together clearly far surpass the threshold that you need for a reasonable, subjective analysis to arrive at the conclusion that his president, over and again, has committed multiple high crimes and misdemeanors.

...

Barack Hussein Obama has brought great shame upon himself, upon the American people and upon the United States of America.

God Helped Ralph Reed Discover Obama Was A Fraud Back In 1997, But He's Just Mentioning It Now

It looks as if right-wing grifter Ralph Reed has a new book coming out soon entitled "Awakening: How America Can Turn from Moral and Economic Destruction Back to Greatness."

In an effort to promote the book, Reed has filmed a series of short videos highlighting different aspects of the topics covered in his book, including one that purports to reveal with "real" Barack Obama, whom Reed met back in 1997 when they both served on a Harvard working group tasked with studying "civil engagement and social capital."

Reed says his participation in that working group was "a divine appointment" brought about so that he could meet Obama and discover that he was "the most liberal and the most out of the mainstream politician I had ever met in my career who could be considered viable at the ballot box."

In fact, Reed says, Obama knew this as well, which is why he has used his gift for language "to obscure rather than to reveal who he really was and what he really believed."

"It was really a fog machine," Reed says. "I knew it; unfortunately the rest of the country did not":

Interestingly, we have literally never heard any of this from Reed before. You'd think that if Reed has know this since 1997, he might have been making this case back when Obama was, say, running for the US Senate? Or maybe when he ran for President in back to back national elections?

How is it possible that Reed never brought this up until now?

Perhaps his statement in the video that "I'm not going to give away the story because I want you to get the book" might offer a clue?
