In response to Sarah Palin’s announcement yesterday that she would not seek the presidency, WorldNetDaily columnist and managing editor David Kupelian wrote that Palin’s decision was a result of massive demonization from the left in a literal “war between light and darkness.” According to Kupelian, “this growth of spiritual darkness in America is the result of decades of assault by the political and moral left,” inevitably breeding hatred for Palin as a result of her “noble character, common sense and natural grace.” Kupelian warns that once... Daniel Lapin of Toward Tradition appeared on The 700 Club today with Pat Robertson, alleging that the Bible warned us of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the book of Zachariah. Lapin went on to say that the attacks were “based on a dream that Adolf Hitler had in 1943.” No word if Lapin ever intended to warn Americans about the attacks before 9/11, or if the Bible had anything to say about how People For the American Way and gays were responsible for the 9/11 attacks, another theory concocted on The 700 Club. Watch: Lapin: The Torah, in ancient Jewish wisdom the Bible... MORE

This weekend, nearly every major GOP presidential candidate, along with the top two Republicans in the House of Representatives, will speak at the Values Voter Summit, an annual gathering of the leaders of the movement to integrate fundamentalist Christianity and American politics. The candidates – Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich – and the congressmen – House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor – will join a who’s who of the far Right at the event. The organizers of... MORE

I imagine that if the American Cancer Society rejected an effort by Christians to raise money for the organization, we'd never hear the end of it from the Religious Right. Eddie Long wants his money back. Michele Bachmann's campaign staff continues to lose key members. Will Chris Christie's announcement that he will not run for president finally satisfy the media? Finally, Bradlee Dean must be really desperate for attention. MORE

Marcia Segelstein, a columnist for the American Family Association’s OneNewsNow, decried today the representation of gays and lesbians and families led by same-sex parents in television shows such as Glee and Modern Family and the movie The Kids Are All Right. Earlier this year, the AFA launched a boycott of Glee for allegedly promoting “deviant sexuality,” “homosexual behavior,” “idolatry” and “vulgar” choreography. Citing the work of right-wing Washington Times columnist Mary Beth Hicks and her new book, “Don't Let the Kids Drink... MORE

Today, Tony Perkins stopped by The Heritage Foundation to participate in a Blogger's Briefing and promote the upcoming Values Voter Summit. During the briefing, Perkins accused the media of seeking to ruin any conservative candidate that promotes an agenda that seeks to pull America back from the brink of social and fiscal destruction caused by the Obama administration, and asserted that if President Obama is re-elected in 2012, it will literally spell doom for this nation: There is one thing that is very clear in my mind, and I think in many voters as I travel the country and speak in... Earlier we reported that Personhood USA is hoping to place its extrememe personhood amendnt on the 2012 ballot in Ohio, hoping voters there will back the amendment outlawing all abortions along with certain forms of birth control, in-vitro fertilization and the treatment of ectopic pregnancies. The group’s state affiliate, Personhood Ohio, even opposes Janet Porter’s “Heartbeat bill” because it does not go far enough in criminalizing abortion. The group needs over 320,000 valid signatures to place the amendment on the ballot, and is telling Ohioans that the... MORE
