While one anti-choice group is using President Obama’s image to attack legal abortion as black genocide, others are coming out saying that President Obama is advocating the extermination of African Americans because he is pro-choice. The abortion as “black genocide” myth is gaining increasing prominence in the anti-choice community, and the Family Research Council even asserted that Planned Parenthood was responsible for Washington D.C.’s shrinking black population.
Jim Sedlak of the American Life League, a champion of the radical personhood laws, argued that... MORE

Washington DC Mayor Vince Gray along with a number of City Councilmen were arrested on Monday for protesting the budget deal which eliminates the city’s right to use local tax dollars to help low-income women access reproductive healthcare. The Family Research Council responded by saying that Gray and other pro-choice officials were actually responsible for the falling black population in the city. The Washington Post reports that recent census data shows that African Americans will soon make up less than 50% of the city’s population, “with the city’s black population... MORE

Former Pennsylvania Senator and likely presidential candidate Rick Santroum continues court Republican activists around the country, and yesterday addressed a GOP fundraiser in Colorado. Santorum, who previously claimed that the recently passed health care reform law intends to “addict Americans on government healthcare,” not only likened guaranteed health insurance to drug dealing but also said that it would have grave spiritual implications. He went on to say that there is “statistical proof” of American exceptionalism and that Republicans must be “ready to... MORE

In early February Right Wing Watch reported on a bill in Arizona that would make it a felony for women from having abortions if the decision to terminate the pregnancy was based on race or sex. Yesterday, Governor Jan Brewer signed the bill into law, allowing the biological father or the woman’s parents to sue abortion providers for damages if the doctor knowingly conducting the procedure on race or sex grounds:
Arizona is the first state in the nation to make sex- or race-selection abortions a crime.
Gov. Jan Brewer on Tuesday signed into law House Bill 2443, which makes it a felony... MORE

The Florida Baptist Witness reports that Richard Land spoke at the Jacksonville Baptist Association’s Leadership Institute last week and said that America was on the verge of revival that would reverse all of the horrors that President Obama has inflicted upon this nation ... provided that none of the conservatives on the Supreme Court die before Obama can be voted out of office.
Oh yeah, and Americans will also come to realize just how good they had it under George W. Bush:
Addressing abortion, Land said the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, which effectively legalized... MORE

A few times a week, FRC's Tony Perkins co-hosts the radio program "Today's Issues" with the American Family Association's Tim Wildmon.
Today, Perkins was unable to fulfill his hosting duties so Rick Santorum filled in for him and toward the end of the program, Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) called in and the two discussed how, for the first time in their lives, they literally fear for the future of the country:
Franks: For the first time in my life, when Barack Obama became elected, for the first time in my life, I am actually afraid that America may diminish to a point where it's... MORE
