We predicted that the fanatically anti-Obama columnist Jeffrey Kuhner of the Washington Times would go mad if President Obama won re-election, and he didn’t disappoint. In a column today, Kuhner warns that Obama is channeling the spirit of “Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez” and is dependent on a left-wing “pseudo-religion.” Kuhner warned that Obama and his fellow Democrats are waging a “ceaseless assault upon traditional America” and will use comprehensive immigration reform to “permanently shift the electoral map in... Yesterday, Buster Wilson of the American Family Association said that God will punish and curse America for re-electing Obama over his supposed mistreatment of Israel. He also lamented that health care reform will not be repealed and that if Obama has the opportunity to appoint new justices to the Supreme Court then Roe v. Wade will not be overturned any time soon. Later, he added that “homosexuality and the demand for protected and equal rights will now succeed and sweep the nation” as schools will teach children “as young as kindergartners that homosexuality is an accepted... Karl Rove’s American Crossroads and Crossroads GPS spent hundreds of millions of dollars to defeat Obama and swing the U.S. Senate to the Republicans. After failing at both of these goals, Gary Bauer in an interview with Janet Mefferd chided Rove for not using his Crossroads juggernaut to focus on social issues. According to Bauer, if only Republicans like Rove emphasized the GOP’s opposition to abortion rights and gay equality, then maybe Republicans might’ve won after all!
Of course, Bauer’s Campaign for Working Families and other Religious Right groups like Eagle Forum... MORE

Dejected, downcast and angry, conservatives have begun attacking the media and other Christians for not signing on to the anti-Obama campaign, maintaining that Obama’s re-election proves that America is experiencing moral breakdown. Family Research Council head Tony Perkins told talk show host Janet Mefferd that the election results reveal “symptoms of a deeper moral and spiritual problem that we’re facing in our nation,” and beseeched Christians not to just “go on the mountaintop and just wait for the Rapture.”
We wrestle with these political issues but... MORE

Today, Mike Huckabee appeared on the Focus on the Family radio program to share his thoughts on the election results where he provided a glimpse into the Religious Right's worldview when he explained that any time their agenda does not win at the polls, it is because Christians didn't vote:
I think there were a lot of Christian people who simply stayed home for reasons that I can't figure out. But I think every time we lose major elections or major issues like the same-sex marriage issue or the marijuana issue, it's because Christians just didn't show up and vote.
I lay the blame though at... MORE

Erik Rush of WorldNetDaily was so confident of a Romney victory that he even urged ascendant conservatives to prosecute liberals and journalists for treason. But now that Obama has been re-elected, he is warning readers that the Obama administration will try to prosecute conservatives.
He believes that Obama won as a result of voter fraud, although he offers absolutely no evidence besides his own gut feeling, and media manipulation. Now he believes that Obama might intentionally sink the economy to create “civil unrest,” which “will give Obama the chance to shore up and... MORE

After having had a day to digest the election results, Glenn Beck is no longer mystified by results and the unrecognizable America that surrounds him but now knows exactly what the problem is: half of Americans are "utterly and completely lost in darkness":
