WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah personally believes that President Obama will leave office when his second term is up in January 2017, but senses that “there is great concern out there across the fruited plain” that the president will try to stay in office permanently, so he evidently considers it his journalistic duty to explore why this conspiracy theory may be true. “[W]hy do we assume Obama will step aside willingly from the presidency following an election in 2016?” Farah asks in a column today. “I’m not saying he won’t. I’m just asking... MORE

Joe Miller, who as the Tea-Party backed Republican Senate candidate in Alaska in 2010 was defeated by a write-in campaign for incumbent Lisa Murkowski, lost his second Senate bid last year and has now apparently decided to reinvent himself as a right-wing radio host. Last month, Miller launched a radio program that is broadcast online and on a couple of stations in Alaska, and in his first few weeks managed to secure interviews with conservative activists including Gun Owners of America’s Larry Pratt, Ret. Major General Paul Vallely and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach. Signaling... MORE

Rick Santorum worked a few jokes into his CPAC speech today, deriding President Obama as the “weatherman-in-chief” for believing in climate science and even making a birther joke, which was met with tepid applause. “The Obama-Clinton foreign policy team” has been “disastrous,” Santorum said. “In fact the president’s popularity is so bad around the world today that I heard this report from a source that the Kenyan government is actually developing proof that Barack Obama was actually born in America.” MORE

Gushing over Republican victories in last week’s election, WorldNetDaily columnist Lord Christopher Monckton hopes that the GOP will immediately go after President Obama’s “bogus ‘birth certificate’ on the crime scene that is the White House website.’” Monckton, clinging to long-discredited birther conspiracy theories, writes today that “Congress must at once announce an investigation into the forgery” and “take on Mr. Obama and the army of vicious leftists with whom he surrounds.” Last week, Monckton wondered whether... A columnist for the birther outlet WorldNetDaily wants conservatives to pressure Republican elected officials to initiate a probe into President Obama’s birth certificate if the GOP takes control of the U.S. Senate following the midterm elections. Lord Christopher Monckton declares that once “the GOP commands both the Senate and the House,” conservatives should demand that they “find what in English we should call the cojones to do something about the birth certificate.” “If the GOP wins the Senate, and even if it does not win the Senate, let it at last... As Brian has written about quite a bit, there is some strife in the ranks of birthers over the potential presidential candidacy of Texas senator and Tea Party hero Ted Cruz. Birthers believe (falsely) that President Obama was born overseas to one parent who was an American citizen and one who was not, and so, they claim, is not a “natural born citizen” eligible for the presidency. But many prominent birthers have made clear that they would be absolutely fine with the presidential candidacy of Cruz, who was actually born overseas to one parent who was an American citizen and... Right-wing legal activist Larry Klayman says President Obama must be “deported back to his native country,” arguing in a WorldNetDaily column on Friday that the president should “be tried, convicted and removed from our shores before he destroys everything the Founding Fathers bequeathed to us.” MORE
