Stemberger: 'Abuse' To Affirm LGBT Youth; Sexual Relations Among Boy Scouts Will Become 'Commonplace'

John Stemberger, who leads the new anti-gay alternative to the Boy Scouts of America, reassured conservative talk show host Janet Mefferd yesterday that his group, Trail Life USA, is “not going to tolerate” any openly gay members, describing them as a threat to the “safety and security of our children.”

While the BSA allows openly gay youth (but not adults) to join, Trail Life USA will ban anyone who is gay, unless he is working to hide and banish his gay demons. Stemberger, who also runs the Florida Family Policy Council, blames “society and schools and even parents” for affirming LGBT youth, which he said is “tantamount to abuse.”

“That is just absolutely nonsense and it’s an abuse to the child,” Stemberger charged. “We are not going to tolerate someone who is ‘here and queer; loud and proud,’ all of that nonsense, that is completely inappropriate in a program where there’s children.”

Stemberger: We’re very sad to leave the Boy Scouts of America. It was a great organization but unfortunately it has taken a turn in a fundamental compromise on its values that is just not acceptable to parents and the safety and security of our children.

Mefferd: Absolutely. Now a lot has been reported about how you will handle the issue of sexuality in the Trail Life USA organization. How did it come about that you put together the parameters that you did and how do you reassure parents that the issues that may come up in the Boy Scouts are not going to be the same in Trail Life USA?

Stemberger: Well first of all, we’re not going to allow open and avowed homosexuality. It’s really important that we distinguish between a mere same-sex attraction, which by the way 20-25 percent of young boys as they are growing up will experience some sort of gender ambiguity or confusion, or just needing to wonder who they are, needing affirmation, that’s not uncommon at all. But what’s horrible is to have the society and schools and even parents, which is tantamount to abuse in my judgment, saying ‘oh he is special, he must be gay, he must be gender confused, let’s let him explore.’ That is just absolutely nonsense and it’s an abuse to the child. We need to be reaffirming that child of their God-given biology that they are special, made in His image, and help them understand these things. So we’re not going to turn away a kid like that, but we are not going to tolerate activists. We are not going to tolerate someone who is ‘here and queer; loud and proud,’ all of that nonsense, that is completely inappropriate in a program where there’s children.

Later in the broadcast, Stemberger warned that when AT&T CEO and BSA board member Randall Stephenson becomes the leader of the organization, it is likely that openly gay adults will be allowed to take part in scouting as well.

While Stemberger said he was “never concerned about the adults” because “the adults have a two-deep leadership policy where no adult can be alone with any scout at one time in scouting,” he told parents to fear openly gay adult leaders anyway and defect to Trail Life USA: “We’re not trying to be bashing the BSA but we are going to be committed to letting parents know of this and that this is a risk, this is a health and safety risk to boys.”

Stemberger even predicted that sexual relations and “physical, sexual and psychological abuse” will become “commonplace” as a result of the decision to end the ban on openly gay youth.

Mefferd: You told us that Randall Stephenson, the head of AT&T, is now going to be in charge of the Boy Scouts. Now this is somebody who drew an awful lot of fire prior to this vote as somebody a lot of conservatives wanted ousted from the Boy Scouts.

Stemberger: That’s right, in May of next year he will become the president of the Boy Scouts of America and he is on the record saying he doesn’t agree with the current policy, doesn’t go far enough, he wants open homosexuality not just with boys but with men as well. When that second shoe drops then we will be positioned to see even more parents come and join Trail Life USA. Honestly, I just hate this. I don’t like this. We’re not trying to be bashing the BSA but we are going to be committed to letting parents know of this and that this is a risk, this is a health and safety risk to boys. They have already issued proclamations saying you will not treat openly gay boys any different, that is they are going to be tented with other boys; they are not going to be separated out in anyway lest they be bullied.

This is where it’s going and this will absolutely increase boy-on-boy sexual contact, which will further contribute to the scandal and the very unfortunate abuse to countless numbers of boys who will undergo physical, sexual and psychological abuse as a result of this policy change. That is the bottom line, that is the thing no one wants to talk about, that is the reality of this change. They can deny it all they want to but you can’t control boys. I was never concerned about the adults; the adults have a two-deep leadership policy where no adult can be alone with any scout at one time in scouting. But you can’t do that with boys. They are high-risk, they’ve got testosterone, they do crazy things and so you’re going to have stuff happen commonplace as this policy goes into effect.

Pat Robertson Loses Fight To Keep 'Gay AIDS Ring' Video Off The Internet

Two weeks ago, the Christian Broadcasting Network tried to cover up remarks made by Pat Robertson, the founder of CBN and host of its flagship show the 700 Club, about how he believes gay men wear special rings that cut the hands of people they meet in order to infect them with HIV/AIDS.

CBN not only had the video we posted of Robertson’s comments removed from YouTube by complaining that it violated copyright laws, but also edited the comments out of its own broadcast of the show.

We reposted our video elsewhere, but CBN also had it removed from websites such as Vimeo and Dailymotion.

We filed a counterclaim with YouTube asserting that our video was protected by Fair Use and yesterday we finally received word that our video had been restored:

But the episode reveals the lengths CBN will go to hide and censor the statements made by its own leader. Now, the network is even considering legal action against a documentary critical of Robertson.

Cahn: Gay Marriage And Obama's Re-Election Are Signs Of The End Of America

Author Jonathan Cahn has become a star in Religious Right circles over his new book, The Harbinger, which basically claims that biblical prophecy regarding ancient Israel applies to the United States today. Cahn states that the September 11 attacks were a warning from God to repent and prophesied in the Bible. Instead of repenting, however, America is increasingly rebelling against God and Cahn predicts that such defiance will lead to the country’s ultimate destruction.

He appeared on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins yesterday to mark the anniversary of 9/11 and discuss a recent prayer gathering in the Capitol, where Michele Bachmann delivered a Cahn-like speech about how 9/11 and the Benghazi attack represented divine judgment. Cahn also spoke at the event.

After Perkins asked Cahn if the US is “responding to these warning signs of the Lord” appropriately, since Cahn of course knows exactly how God views America, Cahn responded that while America is in spiritual decline, the good news is that lots of people are buying his book!

The End Times author reiterated his claim that members of Congress are reading The Harbinger, including members he met at the Capitol prayer summit.

Unfortunately, America is still going downhill thanks to gay marriage and the re-election of Obama, so we may all be doomed anyway.

What I’ve experienced is there’s a lot of people—The Harbinger’s been spreading across the country, it’s even been reaching Capitol Hill. You and I were there on that night of prayer and several congressmen came up to me about it, so it’s been spreading on one hand. So we’re seeing prayers, we’re seeing repentance; we’re seeing much of that. But, on the other hand, as a nation since The Harbinger came out, America has continued its descent, its moral descent, rapidly. And this has affected the church. I believe, when I look back at it, it came out in 2012 and 2013, this is a real tipping point time where for the first time you have more Americans in favor of gay marriage, you have a president who was re-elected after declaring this, you have states coming forward, you have so many tipping points. I think there’s a reason why The Harbinger came out at that time because it’s a warning and it’s a wakeup call. What happens with a tipping point is things accelerate, unless there’s an intervention of God, things accelerate and I believe we’re really watching an acceleration; the Supreme Court just came out with its decision, I mean so much.

Perkins: Boycott Betty Crocker For Baking Wedding Cakes For Gay Couples

When gay rights advocates criticized Chick-fil-A for the company’s financial support of anti-gay organizations, the Family Research Council decried their “gaystapo tactics.” Apparently, the FRC believes that boycotts are only acceptable if they are organized by conservative groups.

In fact, the FRC is already boycotting companies like Starbucks and McDonalds, and even the Girl Scout Cookies.

Today on his daily radio commentary, FRC president Tony Perkins urged listeners to also boycott Betty Crocker and offered a link to the National Organization for Marriage’s campaign at DumpGeneralMills.com.

Perkins was outraged that Betty Crocker donated custom cakes to three gay Minnesota couples who were married after the state legalized same-sex marriage, and upset that a company spokesman said that “Betty celebrates all families.” Perkins warned that Betty Crocker’s “latest promotion is a recipe for disaster” and claimed that it is offensive to a majority of Americans who have already “made it tough on companies like Target, Starbucks and JC Penney” for not opposing gay rights.

“When you’re at the store, think outside the Betty Crocker box!”

At Betty Crocker, the only thing they're mixing up is their priorities. Hello, I'm Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. If you ask conservatives, Betty Crocker's latest promotion is a recipe for disaster. This summer, the famous dessert line decided to jump on the same-sex marriage bandwagon and bring cakes to celebrate. In Minnesota, where parent company General Mills is headquartered, Betty Crocker decided to donate wedding cakes to the first homosexual couples who exchanged vows on the first day that counterfeit marriage was legal. "Betty celebrates all families…. We don't want to be old fashioned," the company explained. Unfortunately for General Mills, the majority of Americans think natural marriage is anything but old fashioned. And they've made it tough on companies like Target, Starbucks, and JC Penney who disagree. Know where your money is going. When you're at the store, think outside the Betty Crocker box!

'Homo Akbar!' Bryan Fischer Decries The 'Homosexual Mafia' And Obama's 'Spiritual Cleansing'

American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer yesterday tied together the closure of an Oregon bakery that refused to serve gay customers who were trying to find a wedding cake and the rapidly-collapsing story of an Air Force officer who insists he was punished by a superior over his views on gay marriage. Fischer said that the two accounts were proof of growing anti-Christian persecution in Obama’s America.

Lifting a line from WorldNetDaily, he accused gay rights advocates of using mob-like tactics and shouting “Homo Akbar!”

“This is happening everywhere,” Fischer argued. “That bakery couple in Oregon had their bakery completely shut down by a homosexual mob, a homosexual mafia; they cried ‘Homo-Akbar!’ and assaulted, stormed metaphorically, the bakery and got it completely shut down.”

Later in the segment, the Focal Point host maintained that President Obama “has made it a criminal offense to be a sincerely devoted follower of Jesus Christ in the United States Military” and accused Obama of “leading this purge of Christians from the military. This is ethnic cleansing, this is spiritual cleansing.”

Bob Vander Plaats Praises Russia's Ban On Pro-Gay Rights Speech

One of the chief players in Republican politics in Iowa yesterday praised Russian president Vladimir Putin for his role in criminalizing speech supportive of gay rights as part of a larger crackdown on the country’s LGBT community. Bob Vander Plaats, head of the group The Family Leader and recent host of a summit with likely presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Rick Santorum, defended the ban in an interview with conservative talk show host Steve Deace.

While speaking about the crisis in Syria, Vander Plaats commended Putin for appropriating American “strengths” like “military might, decisive action, core values, morality, beliefs,” which have now “defaulted into our weaknesses because of Barack Obama.”

Vander Plaats praised Putin for taking a stand and saying “don’t bring this homosexual propaganda into my country for the Olympics; we believe in one man, one woman marriage; there is no homosexual marriage in Russia.”

Deace interjected that Putin shouldn’t be deemed a hero of thepro-familymovement since he recently divorced his wife, Vander Plaats but said “it doesn’t matter.”

Vander Plaats: He has taken what used to be our strengths — military might, decisive action, core values, morality, beliefs — and he’s saying, those are being turned into your guys’ weakness and guess what I’m doing? I’m taking those. I’m taking decisive leadership, you’re following my lead. As a matter of fact, Obama’s now agreeing with Putin, ‘oh you know maybe we’ve got some other options here now.’ So he’s taking Putin’s lead. Putin’s saying, ‘you know what don’t bring this homosexual propaganda into my country for the Olympics; we believe in one man, one woman marriage; there is no homosexual marriage in Russia.’

Deace: Says the guy that just kicked his wife of four decades to the curb.

Vander Plaats: It doesn’t matter. He’s taken what used to be our strengths, which has now defaulted into our weaknesses because of Barack Obama, no leadership, and he’s making them his strengths and he’s emerging now on the world stage as a newly discovered leader. Ladies and gentlemen this is why you need to rise up, this is why we rise up, to demonstrate, we do have a voice in this process.

Of course for gay people and gay rights advocates in Russia, they will no longer have a voice in the already-undemocratic state.

Arguments Against San Antonio’s Anti-Discrimination Ordinance Collapse Under Their Own Ridiculousness

The Religious Right has gone into overdrive to fight a San Antonio ordinance that added “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the city’s non-discrimination policy [PDF], which already included bans on discrimination “on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex…veteran status, age or disability.” But despite their hyperventilating, the measure passed anyway.

The ordinance’s opponents were certainly not helped by their strategy of using far-fetched, over-the-top arguments to mischaracterize the ordinance…because that it was just too easy to point out where went wrong.

Take, for instance, pastor Charles Flowers, a vocal opponent of the ordinance, who appeared on The Janet Mefferd Show on September 6 to charge that councilmembers who backed the measure “don’t deserve to serve any longer” because they “assaulted” the rights of Christians.

His main complaint about the ordinance was that homosexuality is a “sexual lifestyle choice” and not an immutable characteristic…like a person’s religious beliefs.

“There is a strong response coming from this community to rid our city council of people whose judgment -- this is the issue, they could not judge the difference between the sacred suffering of someone involved in the Civil Rights Movement to gain basic human rights based on immutabilities like race, sex, where you were born and your creeds, that don’t change,” Flowers charged. “They couldn’t tell the difference between that and some group that has a sexual propensity or making as sexual lifestyle choice and now seeking protection in order to persecute and punish anybody whose ideology is different from their own.”

That’s right; the arguments from ordinance’s opponents have come down to the claim that a person’s religious beliefs are unchangeable.

Flowers later contended that “speaking out against the homosexual or lesbian agenda could garner you a fine of $500 per day.”

“That’s $15,000 a month that you could be fined in the seventh largest city in America for expressing a difference between the ideology proposed by a city, where homosexuality and lesbianism is concerned, and your personal belief and personal faith.”

“This is like a police state,” Flowers said, adding that employers who don’t believe in gay rights won’t be able to win city contracts.

His claim that people will be fined for speaking out on homosexuality was so blatantly false that Mefferd had to ask him if pastors could be fined. Flowers alleged that the ordinance would only affect businessmen who seek to fire their openly gay staff members or refuse to serve transgender customers.

Now there is a huge difference between a government fining a person for speaking out against homosexuality or for harboring anti-gay views and prohibiting businesses from discriminating against LGBT employees and customers in public accommodation.

Does he really not see the difference or is he just hoping that listeners will fall for the blatant falsehood?

Furthermore, “religious organizations” are clearly explicitly exempted from the ordinance’s provision on public accommodation, employment and housing, so the Christian businesses Flowers mentioned wouldn’t be impacted.

Government Is Not God PAC: Obama Should've Been 'Removed From Office' For His 'Socialist, Islamist, And Pro-Homosexual Agendas'

William Murray’s Government Is Not God PAC is predictably upset that the Treasury Department and the IRS, in accordance with the Supreme Court’s decision that struck down the federal component of DOMA, will recognize legally married same-sex couples.

The conservative group said the decision was just more proof that Obama is a “tyrant,” lamenting that “in more rational times, he would already have been impeached and removed from office” for pursuing “his socialist, Islamist, and pro-homosexual agendas.”

It should come as no surprise that Obama has just exceeded his authority to redefine marriage under federal law.

The U.S. Department of Treasury and the IRS, as well as the Department of Health and Human Services are going to recognize homosexual marriages even in states that define marriage as a one-man, one-woman union.

According to Ryan Anderson, with The Heritage Foundation:

The agencies announced that they will recognize same-sex couples as married provided that they were married in states that have redefined marriage, even if they now reside in states that retain the historical definition of marriage. As Treasury and IRS put it, “The ruling applies regardless of whether the couple lives in a jurisdiction that recognizes same-sex marriage or a jurisdiction that does not recognize same-sex marriage.”

Anderson continues:

Given the Supreme Court’s ruling on Section 3 of DOMA, the federal government should look to each state’s definition of marriage as governing for federal law. This respects both federalism and democratic self-government. A bad Supreme Court ruling should not allow federal bureaucrats to redefine marriage across America for their agency.

But, of course, since Obama views the Constitution as an impediment to his socialist, Islamist, and pro-homosexual agendas, he will impose his policies on Americans without regard for the legality of whatever he wishes to do. A leader who operates this way is called a tyrant. In more rational times, he would already have been impeached and removed from office. But, don’t expect that to happen – especially since the Senate is still under the control of the Obama clone Harry Reid.

American Family Association At Last Finds 'The Real Problem With Homosexuality'

As you probably already know, no organization in the country talks more about the issue of homosexuality than the American Family Association. Even gay rights groups talk about LGBT issues less than AFA spokespeople like Bryan Fischer. But it seems that until now the AFA has not uncovered the “real problem” behind gay rights. The group even took issue sprinter Tyson Gay’s name.

But the wait is over. Today, AFA blogger Ray Rooney Jr. writes a column entitled “The Real Problem With Homosexuality.”

According to Rooney, the real reason homosexuality is wrong — no, it’s not that gays are Nazi Stormtroopers — is because gay people want everyone to know that they have sex with someone of the same sex.

Unlike “normal people” (read: heterosexuals), who never disclose that they have sex with someone of the opposite sex, gays just want to “broadcast to the world the details of their sex lives.”

“I am fed up with the gay community,” Rooney complains, because he is “just sick of hearing about how one group of people demand that everyone in the world accept who they have sex with!”

What I find perverse about homosexuality is the insistence from the gay community that I should know about their sexual proclivities. Normal people understand that sex is an extremely intimate and therefore private act. I would find it troubling, if not disgusting, for anyone to talk publicly about what kind of sex they like to practice. Normal people do not want to broadcast to the world the details of their sex lives. There is something wrong with those who want complete strangers to know who they like to have sex with.

Medical statistics tell me homosexuality is unhealthy. My Christian faith teaches me it is unrighteous. Common sense tells me it is unfruitful and unnatural. But none of that is why I am fed up with the gay community. I’m just sick of hearing about how one group of people demand that everyone in the world accept who they want to have sex with!

I wonder if all the stories making the news today about bakers and florists being forced to cater to homosexuals would be stories but for people announcing who they like to have sex with? I mean, did the offended customers come in and ask for a wedding cake or flowers for their wedding and were denied service because they looked like homosexuals? Or did the customer come in and announce their sexual preference and then demand service? I suspect the latter.

I believe homosexuality is wrong. Just like I believe adultery and sex outside of marriage is wrong. But even though I believe I have good reasons for opposing homosexuality as a normative lifestyle based on science, medicine, and faith, that is not why I strongly oppose it. I believe anyone who insists everyone know what they do in their bedroom and with whom is perverse. Normal people do not define themselves solely on the basis of who they are sexually attracted to.

Wake Rick Wiles Up From His Gay 'Nightmare' Before Everyone Dies

Rick Wiles on Wednesday interviewed fellow End Times broadcaster Jonathan Hansen of World Ministries International to discuss the coming world war that President Obama is planning since he is the Antichrist after all.

Hansen believes that the government may soon “pull the chord” and launch “World War III,” which he claims was also detailed to him by a congressman who revealed that only people who get to a certain part of Idaho will survive the bloodshed.

I had a member of the House contact me and he warned about the struggle going on in America right now and he shared with me that because of what we’re doing, as far as on television and radio trying to warn America, he gave me grid coordinates. He said if we don’t stop this insanity, they are going to crash the economy, it’s going to crash and there’s going to be blood flowing through America; but if you can get yourself and your family to this grid coordinates—you have to get a pilot—we will keep you alive…. All I know is, I did get a hold of a pilot and he said it’s in Idaho.

Wiles, who believes that LGBT equality and openly gay Boy Scouts will trigger a nuclear war with North Korea, lamented that he is living in a gay “nightmare” thanks to Obama’s gay rights efforts:

Wiles: We have the President of the United States going to a foreign nation at a summit meeting of world leaders and gay rights is his number one issue.

Hansen: Can you believe that? Can you believe that?

Wiles: This is like out of a nightmare. I don’t even know where I’m at anymore. This is so bizarre what’s happening in the world, I couldn’t make this stuff up.

Hansen: I’ve said that different times, I’ve gone into offices and in one of our offices I sat down saying, you wouldn’t think we’re in America anymore, I would have never thought it forty years ago.

Swanson: Tell Gay Couples To Die On Their Wedding Day

Christian Right radio host Kevin Swanson says it is appropriate to attend a same-sex wedding but only as long as you hold up a sign calling for the happy couple to be put to death.

Taking a page from Gordon Klingenschmitt, who said that photographers should print “worthy of death” on photos of the weddings of same-sex couples, Swanson said that guests can “attend the wedding and hold up the sign Leviticus 20:13 word for word: ‘If a man sleeps with a man as he sleeps with a woman the two of them have committed an abomination and they shall both be put to death.’ You could attend a wedding and hold up that sign.”

Bakeries, such as the Oregon cake shop that refused service to a gay couple, can do the same thing: “If you bake a cake for a homosexual wedding you can put Leviticus 20:13 on the cake.”

Swanson accused gay “fascists” of attacking the Oregon bakery, telling listeners “that the Nazi Party had their birth at a homosexual bar in Berlin…This is what homosexuals do best and they will engage in their Pink Mafia effort to control and shut down businesses that do not cooperate with their agenda.”

Following a discussion of how same-sex weddings are “Neronic weddings” as they were developed by Nero, Swanson confessed that he finds it “mindboggling” why homosexuality is “outrageously popular” today.

Harvey: Pray For Russian Law Criminalizing Pro-Gay Rights Speech

Mission America’s Linda Harvey used her radio commentary today to sing the praises of the Russian government’s growing crackdown on the LGBT community, calling on listeners to pray for the law which bans pro-gay rights speech. Harvey, who has joined other Religious Right activists in endorsing the law, said that any “responsible adult” would back Russia’s criminalization of gay “propaganda.”

She said Russian children will now be free from thinking that they might be gay or that gay people can be accepted in the Christian faith. “In other words, the kids in Russia may get to live lives as kids and not be weighed down with adult agendas laced with adult deception,” Harvey maintains.

“They have apparently observed the harm being done to kids in the West as a result of homosexual exploitation and are pursuing a much wiser course before global gay activism gets a foothold there,” she concluded. “[L]et’s pray that children there continue to be allowed protection in this way and in every other way God would want as well.”

There’ve been reports that some homosexuals have been beaten up by gangs over homosexual behavior so if that is happening it should of course be punished like any other violence, however, the basis for all the current outcry over Russia is a new set of laws recently passed prohibiting any pro-homosexual programs directed at children and teens. The law also forbids public demonstrations like gay pride parades and adoption of children by homosexuals, including into foreign countries where same-sex marriage is legal, in other words they are protecting kids. Yet some liberals here are screaming that it is now illegal to be gay in Russia. No, that’s not the situation.

What responsible adult would have a problem with keeping kids on a path of high moral standards? Well, those who are very deceived themselves, apparently. In our country the sexual anarchists are whaling because Russian children and teens will not be allowed to hear homosexual propaganda. Children won’t be told, falsely, that some are born to be homosexual. They won’t be encouraged to declare themselves homosexual at age twelve or thirteen and label themselves for the rest of their school years. Russian children won’t be taught that they are victims of the mainstream, straight world, that they should develop deep resentments and hostiles and shouldn’t trust anything tradition-minded people say or do. The risks of same-sex relationships won’t be carefully hidden from them, as they are here, and they just might have healthier, more stable lives as a result.

They won’t be told that biblical moral standards are hateful and harmful; that abstinence until marriage is impossible and recommending it is discrimination; nor that sex as a young teen is perfectly normal, constructive and manageable with latex. They won’t learn that two men or two women should be seen as a married couple and that no one should ever blink an eye at the terms ‘her wife’ or ‘his husband.’ They won’t be taught that Jesus now suddenly accepts homosexuality and always did and that modern, enlightened theologians have discovered pro-homosexual meanings in Scripture that no one else did over several thousand years and that all those verses that call homosexuality sin really mean something else. In other words, the kids in Russia may get to live lives as kids and not be weighed down with adult agendas laced with adult deception.

Now I would never give a stamp of approval on all that might be going on in Russia but this is one area where it seems I agree with them. They have apparently observed the harm being done to kids in the West as a result of homosexual exploitation and are pursuing a much wiser course before global gay activism gets a foothold there. If there is room in our prayers for the people of Russia friends, and I’m sure there is, let’s pray that children there continue to be allowed protection in this way and in every other way God would want as well.

Klingenschmitt: Under ENDA, 'Christians Will Be Bankrupted' And 'Starve To Death'

After urging Christian photographers to add the line “worthy of death” to photos they take of same-sex weddings, Dr. “Chaps” Gordon Klingenschmitt emailed members of his Pray In Jesus Name Project today warning that Christians may face unemployment and starvation if the Employment Nondiscrimination Act (ENDA) passes.

Klingenschmitt, who has previously called ENDA a demonically-inspired bill, said that a New Mexico case where a photography business violated a non-discrimination law is proof that ENDA will compel Christian businessmen “to disobey God.”

“The Government is now ordering you: Forsake God or starve to death,” Klingenschmitt writes. “I pray that I would choose bankruptcy, starvation, even death, before disobedience to God.”

He lamented that the Supreme Court’s “decision to homosexual marriage” has made conservative members of Congress feel “discouraged” in the face of Democrats who are “pushing radical change faster than we can oppose it.”

Christians MUST participate in Gay "Weddings" rules State Supreme Court

Two Christian photographers have no religious rights and must participate in homosexual "wedding" ceremonies or face big fines, penalties, and bankruptcy, the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled.

The unanimous verdict was written by one justice who wrote the photographers were "compelled by law to compromise the very religious beliefs that inspire their lives," reports Fox News.

Compelled to disobey God? By whom? Who has more authority than God?

If ENDA becomes law, Christians will be bankrupted in all 50 states, ordered to choose between obedience to God (refusing to participate in sin) and remaining in business. The First Amendment guarantees our freedom from such burden. The Government is now ordering you: Forsake God or starve to death. I pray that I would choose bankruptcy, starvation, even death, before disobedience to God.

Friends, I cannot believe Republicans are allowing this. Our good conservative friends in Congress are so discouraged on Capitol Hill, especially after the bad Supreme Court decision to homosexualize ‘marriage,’ and Democrats are pushing radical change faster than we can oppose it.

Rios: Military's 'Homosexual Takeover' And Women In Navy Will Undermine Effectiveness Of Syrian Strike

American Family Association radio host Sandy Rios claimed today that if the United States attacks Syria over the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons, American military efforts may fail as a result of the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the opening of additional positions to female service members.

Declaring that Secretary of State John Kerry is someone who is “not to be trusted” and part of an “untrustworthy” administration, Rios said she doubted that the US Navy will be effective in a possible strike against the Syrian government due to “the homosexual takeover of so much of our military” and roles for women in the Navy.

It’s getting more exaggerated. This is the nature of John Kerry, he always does this; he’s not to be trusted. This is the reason why I think we have to be concerned about going into Syria because the people that we’re looking at to lead us are untrustworthy people. There’s a second reason and that is military readiness. When I looked at those battleships going into the Mediterranean, supposedly getting ready for battle in Syria, I couldn’t help think about all the stories I’ve read about how women now are in the ranks of the Navy, getting pregnant at exponential numbers; when I think about the folding in and the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the homosexual takeover of so much of our military I’m not sure how effective those naval ships will be.

Mefferd: If SCOTUS Legalizes Gay Marriage, Prepare For Divine Punishment

Janet Mefferd spent part of Labor Day chatting with Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, where they spent most of the time decrying New Jersey’s new law barring ex-gay therapy for minors.

“The homosexual agenda is about restricting people’s liberty and freedom,” LaBarbera told Mefferd, “We have to get back to showing where the true discrimination is: the citizens of New Jersey just lost their freedom here; we have got to get back to emphasizing that we are for true liberty.”

After reading an excerpt of Justice Antonin Scalia’s dissent in the Windsor decision, Mefferd said that it is only a matter of time before the Supreme Court declares “gay marriage a constitutional right,” which she believes will bring about divine wrath: “And every single Founding Father will flip in his grave and God in his Heaven will still have that arrow, that bow and arrow pointed at us, that Jonathan Edwards talked about in ‘Sinners in the hands of an Angry God,’ holding the bow and arrow, holding back His wrath, but only for a time.”

Klingenschmitt: Christian Photographers Should Print Anti-Gay Scripture On The Back Of Gay Wedding Photos

Last month, the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled that a photography studio's refusal to photograph a same-sex wedding was a violation of the state's anti-discrimination laws and "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt is not happy about the ruling.

But he does have a novel solution: any Christian photographer who photographs a gay wedding should just print anti-gay verses of Scripture on the back of every photo.

Klingenschmitt said Christian business owners should print Romans 1:32, which he claims declares that gays are "worthy of death," on the back of all their business cards and announce that if any gay couples hires them to photograph their wedding, they are going to print the same verse on the back of each and every photo:

Harvey: Why Are Gay People So Afraid To Know The Truth?

Linda Harvey doesn’t understand why gay people won’t simply admit that they are lying about their sexual orientation and choose to be straight. “The main reason people now believe some are born homosexual is because those who are currently committed to and want to continue this conduct say so,” the Mission America host lamented.

“If the person really wants the truth” about why he or she is gay, Harvey said, they would realize it is almost related to tragedies “from child molestation to other traumatic childhood experiences in childhood to neglectful, disordered or abusive parents.”

“The question becomes: do we want to know the truth?” Harvey wondered. “Sometimes people hold onto what they know even if it is uncomfortable, even if they realize they could probably do something different because change can be a lot of work, change can mean confessing sin, change can mean your circumstances might be shaken up.”

Stan Solomon: Trayvon Martin Deserved To Die And So Does 'That Faggot' Dan Savage

Conservative talk show host Stan Solomon is obsessed with the idea that President Obama is fomenting a race war in order to murder white, Christian heterosexuals, so when we noticed he was hosting a special “Race In America” program to commemorate the March on Washington, we knew we had to watch. Solomon -- who regularly interviews conservative figures including Phyllis Schlafly, E.W. Jackson, Larry Pratt and Alan Keyes -- used the occasion to deliver an epic rant accusing Jews, gays, African Americans and Muslims of being pawns of the Satanic left, hailing the murder of Trayvon Martin and announcing that he hopes “that faggot” Dan Savage dies.

Listen to me carefully. No you don’t, kiss my Obama, I don’t give a damn what you do, I know what I’m going to do and I know what people with an ‘I’ and a ‘Q’ are going to do. The left, which is godless and serves Satan, has an agenda. To accomplish their agenda they have to get idiots, morons, numbnuts to do stupid things so the focus will be on them and not on the libs, not on the leftists. Jews, homosexuals, blacks, gays, Islamists, you may think they’re disparate groups, they’re not, they’re all tools. Because while we’re mad at these two punks, we’re mad at Trayvon Martin, that thug that deserves to be dead and I’m glad he’s dead.

Pieces of crap, homosexuals like what’s that one guy’s name? [Dan] Savage. That faggot. That horrible, awful, terrible excuse for a human being who is at the White House promoting attacks on Christians. I hope he dies — he probably will — of every disease known. By the way, I’m sending him a fire hydrant for his birthday, I’m hoping he’ll sit on it; he’ll slide all the way down to the ground. Sorry fire hydrant fans, I don’t mean to insult fire hydrants.

At any rate, do you understand what I’m saying here? These groups are being recruited. Environmentalists, nuclear freeze, it doesn’t make a difference what group it is. If you put anything ahead of doing what’s right in God’s eyes, or better yet ignoring the reality of God, then you’re a tool, you’re a useful idiot.

Solomon then called on his white viewers to buy guns to protect themselves against black and Latino “terrorists.”

“If you’re white, you’re a target,” Solomon contended. “Get a gun, know how to use it, never be without it and don’t leave your family unprotected.” He warned that black and Latino public school and college students are “terrorists in training” who are “being taught” to hate white people.

“You have to go to college and admit, ‘Oh if you’re white it’s unfair.’ Pretend like you’re black, pretend like you’re a homosexual, which means you are sick and stupid and ignorant and going to die, early,” Solomon continued.

“If somebody comes at you—I don’t give a damn if you’re white, black, pink or purple—and you’re not sure, shoot him and find out later. It’s better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.”

“George Zimmerman knows all about that,” co-host “Chief” Steve Davis replied.

But it didn’t end there.

Solomon, not one to hold back on making racist jokes about Michelle Obama, attacked the first lady over her promotion of healthy eating among youth: “They have that Michelle O-Buick butt Obama’s you know, by the way, she doesn’t eat that crap, she eats like a garbage disposal at a fast food joint. Actually, they might name one after her….They just eat the biggest junk in the world.”

He said he wouldn’t say anything about Malia and Sasha Obama, “except that I wish them the best having crap for parents.”

Lopez: Scott Brown Won't Help Ex-Gay Movement Because He Was 'Sexually Abused Himself'

In an American Thinker column today, Robert Oscar Lopez – a professor, columnist, gay erotic novelist, and anti-gay activist who has been lauded by groups such as the National Organization for Marriage – attacks former Republican Sen. Scott Brown for supporting the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and defending New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, claiming that these positions are the result of the sexual abuse that Sen. Brown experienced as a child.

Lopez is upset that Brown wants to open the GOP to include “rich corporate homosexuals who are interested in having in vitro kids by surrogate moms and shutting up anyone who objects” and that he has defended Christie, who recently signed into a law a ban on ex-gay therapy for minors. Lopez then goes into detail about Brown’s nude photo shoot for Cosmopolitan when he was 22 years old.

“Something tells me that someone who feels comfortable disrobing in front of a camera and being gawked at by masturbating strangers won't fully understand why many men and women would want to keep Don't Ask Don't Tell in place,” Lopez writes.

“It isn't as if Scott Brown has been sexually abused himself -- oh wait, yes, he was. Like many women who are sexually assaulted and later become strippers or prostitutes, Scott Brown probably dealt with his sexual trauma by modeling nude ten years after being mauled at a camp.”

Lopez argues that because Brown “dealt with male-male sexual abuse his way,” he must think that “other men should have to figure things out on their own,” rather than seek ex-gay therapy: “He expects other men who don't want to be sexually mauled by homosexuals to be stuck showering inches away from them in Army barracks with no recourse to therapy to avoid falling into homosexual behavior themselves as a consequence of the trauma.”

He claims that due to the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, thousands of soldiers have “fallen victim to the sexual anomie” of the military. Christie and Brown, Lopez writes, have succumbed “to their respective worldly vices: posing nude and binge-eating,” and shouldn’t be “anywhere on the national Republican ticket in 2016.”

“[T]o Hades with them both. I'm sick of this crap.”

(HT: RWW reader Matthew Briol)

There is no mention from Scott Brown at all of social conservatives who worry about religious freedom, the sanctity of marriage, and the rights of children to be raised by a mom and dad. (If I were libertarian, I wouldn't be wild about Brown's commentary, either.) So we have a pretty clear idea of what kind of big spenders Scott Brown wants in his "big tent." (Can we please find a new cliché?) I'm thinking rich corporate homosexuals who are interested in having in vitro kids by surrogate moms and shutting up anyone who objects.

Nowhere did Scott Brown mention the fact that Chris Christie had just signed into law a moronic statute making it illegal for minors to get therapy to avoid homosexual behavior. Christie was not content merely to sign this stupid law and join an elite class of like-minded governors including Jerry Brown (who signed the first state ban against "ex-gay" therapy in California). He also belly-flopped into the realms of psychobiology and theology, insisting that gay people are born that way and that homosexuality isn't a sin. To say such a thing, he had to have never read the actual research by sexologists who can find no proof of genetically caused homosexuality. He also must have never read a book called the Bible.

He did pose nude in the early 1980s, and come to think of it, that should have set off alarms in Republican minds when they were hyping up his run for Teddy Kennedy's old seat. Something tells me that someone who feels comfortable disrobing in front of a camera and being gawked at by masturbating strangers won't fully understand why many men and women would want to keep Don't Ask Don't Tell in place.

It isn't as if Scott Brown has been sexually abused himself -- oh wait, yes, he was. Like many women who are sexually assaulted and later become strippers or prostitutes, Scott Brown probably dealt with his sexual trauma by modeling nude ten years after being mauled at a camp. Perhaps he feels that because he dealt with male-male sexual abuse his way, other men should have to figure things out on their own.

He gets to showcase his wounds in interviews and write a book about the whole experience. He expects other men who don't want to be sexually mauled by homosexuals to be stuck showering inches away from them in Army barracks with no recourse to therapy to avoid falling into homosexual behavior themselves as a consequence of the trauma. And now, if a man feels threatened by a homosexual aggressor in the military the way Scott Brown was threatened by a male aggressor when he was ten, there will soon be no chaplains to consult in faith-based terms. The chaplaincy is slowly being cleansed of anybody who doesn't rubberstamp the gay lobby's ideology.

Welcome to Scott Brown's and Chris Christie's brave new world of strong national security: instead of banning discussion of homosexual acts in high-risk situations where naked young soldiers are vulnerable, use the police powers of the state to ban discussion of things that young people with homosexual attractions can do other than become adult homosexuals.

We had to repeal the Don't Ask Don't Tell law to see what was in it -- pace Nancy Pelosi -- and now that the law is gone, we have several thousand more men who've fallen victim to the sexual anomie that supporters of Don't Ask Don't Tell, unlike Scott Brown, rightly feared. I am sure that the new laws banning ex-gay therapy will give us more of the same theatrics.

Both Scott Brown and Chris Christie can't connect dots. This whole recent fracas began when Christie bashed Rand Paul for worrying about a police state and then bashed Paul and Jindal for being too much like college professors. Scott Brown, apparently as much of an airhead as Christie, has jumped into his little dinghy, and the two of them want to row off to some island in an alternate universe where conservatives don't care about government interfering with their therapy sessions, stifling their religious beliefs, and listening in to their phone calls. What's important is landing big donors, winning, and succumbing to their respective worldly vices: posing nude and binge-eating. Why think when you can just stuff your mouth, strip naked for a photog, and shout your mouth off in Jersey and Boston accents? So I say, to Hades with them both. I'm sick of this crap.

To paraphrase a line from a great Gilded Age novel, "it is much safer to be fond of dangerous people." In this day and age, with the gay lobby wielding tremendous power and influence, it's safer to agree with them than to get into arguments with them.

Except if you want to run for national office as a Republican. If either Brown or Christie ends up anywhere on the national Republican ticket in 2016, I am voting third party or writing in someone else. I think all conservatives should draw a bright red line at this point.

The Gay AIDS Ring Video Pat Robertson Doesn't Want You To See

The Christian Broadcasting Network has embarked on a total and frankly embarrassing cover-up of Pat Robertson’s statement yesterday that gay people in San Francisco try to cut people’s fingers with special rings in order to infect them with AIDS. After editing Robertson’s comments out of their online broadcast of the 700 Club and taking down their own YouTube video featuring the claims, CBN has now filed with a flimsy copyright complaint against Right Wing Watch’s copy of the video on YouTube, causing it to be temporarily removed.

That’s right, CBN is going out of its way to get rid of all evidence of comments made by CBN’s own founder, who even released a statement defending his assertions and insisted that he was once a target of a malicious gay AIDS ring plot. We have uploaded the video to Vimeo which you can watch here, unless CBN tries to take it down (UPDATE: Vimeo pulled the video, but you can now watch it on DailyMotion. UPDATE II: A third party [we wonder who!] complained to DailyMotion and pulled the video, which you can find, for now, at Flickr.com):

This isn’t the first time that CBN has manipulated comments Robertson has made on the channel’s flagship show, The 700 Club. Last year, the network unsuccessfully attempted to edit out Robertson’s call for a man to move to Saudi Arabia in order to beat his wife.

It’s ironic that Robertson believes that gay people are trying to censor him with hate speech laws, when it appears that the only people trying to censor Robertson are his own staff at CBN.

As Steve Benen notes, “Robertson really shouldn’t say things on national television if he doesn’t want people to see them.”

While Robertson’s gay AIDS ring conspiracy theory is outrageous and absurd, it is also ridiculous that the television network Robertson leads is now on a mission to suppress comments that Robertson himself believes are accurate and truthful.

Last year, a slew of American Religious Right activists traveled to Moscow to take part in an international conference called “Large Families and the Future of Mankind.” The conference was funded by top allies of Russian President Vladimir Putin and was organized by the Illinois-based World Congress of Families (WCF ended its official role in the event after the U.S. placed sanctions on some of its funders, but was still clearly the main organizing force behind it.) The fact that the conference was dedicated to “large families” is important. In a new report for... MORE

Mike Huckabee, doing his best to channel Dr. Jenna Jacobs, said in a recent interview with televangelist Jim Bakker that he doesn’t have any personal animus towards gay people, explaining that he opposes gay rights merely because that is what the Bible commands him to do. Huckabee, who once called homosexuality “an aberrant, unnatural and sinful lifestyle” and demanded that the government quarantine people with HIV/AIDS, said he is offended that anyone thinks he is homophobic. “The way that we’ve allowed words like tolerance, bigotry — what has... Steven Hotze, the Texas-based conservative activist and doctor beloved by Fox News for his crusade against Obamacare, is out with yet another anti-gay diatribe, this time calling on members of Conservative Republicans of Texas to back a Texas bill that would prohibit clerks from issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, even if marriage equality were to become legal in the state. In a post on his website, Hotze hails the legislation, authored by GOP state representative Cecil Bell Jr., as a way to engage in “spiritual warfare” against “the... MORE

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal’s upcoming prayer rally has been organized by David Lane, a Christian-nation absolutist who believes America was founded by and for Christians and demands that politicians make the Bible a primary textbook in public schools. The American Family Association, whose chief spokesperson believes the First Amendment’s religious freedom protections do not apply to non-Christians, is paying for the rally. It’s clear that Jindal, a convert to Christianity, is positioning himself to win the support of conservative evangelicals for a potential presidential... MORE

Is protesting Bobby Jindal’s prayer rally a sin? Organizers seem to think so. For the past few weeks, organizers of this weekend’s prayer rally with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal have been sending out calls to prayer and fasting in support of the event. This week they’ve added daily prayer calls at which they have led participants in prayer for Jindal, for the event’s organizers, for those in charge of logistics like sound and security, and even for those who will be protesting the event. While there is a big rhetorical emphasis on rally leaders having a “... MORE

Brian Camenker of the anti-LGBT group MassResistance spoke to the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios this week about how same-sex marriage has wreaked havoc on Massachusetts since it became legal in 2004, declaring that ten years of marriage equality has been “terrible” for the Bay State. “It is very, very scary. It has permeated the public school system, it has permeated the public health system, the legal system,” he said. “It has basically overwhelmed everything. It’s been a nightmare. It’s been very bad.” Camenker’s... MORE

Right-wing pastor and Christian Post columnist Larry Tomczak says he was “stunned and humbled” that Ellen DeGeneres responded yesterday to his recent incendiary anti-LGBT rant accusing the comedian, among others, of recruiting children into homosexuality. Tomczak writes in his column today that he was merely trying to create a respectful and civil dialogue regarding homosexuality, before insisting that Ellen and her “partner” (scare quotes his) are harming children and their caregivers. In fact, Tomczack claims, DeGeneres’ marriage and support for marriage... MORE
