Bauer: Supreme Court's 'Judicial Terrorism' on Gay Marriage Puts America on 'The Verge of Criminalizing the Book of Genesis'

Gary Bauer yesterday marked the anniversary of the shooting at the Washington D.C. office of the Family Research Council, the group he used to lead, by asking members of his Campaign for Working Families to work against marriage equality.

He compared the attempted shooting by Floyd Lee Corkins, who was convicted of committing an act of terrorism, with the “judicial terrorism” of the Supreme Court in the two recent marriage equality cases: “while Corkins thankfully failed in his attack on FRC, five liberal justices on our Supreme Court committed an act of judicial terrorism that struck at the very foundation of our constitutional republic.”

Bauer said that the court dismissed the “consent of the governed” and “rejected thousands of years of Judeo-Christian understanding” in their rulings on the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8. “It seems as though America is on the verge of criminalizing the Book of Genesis,” Bauer continued, warning that along with the health care reform law the “danger to religious liberty cannot be overstated.”

But while Corkins thankfully failed in his attack on FRC, five liberal justices on our Supreme Court committed an act of judicial terrorism that struck at the very foundation of our constitutional republic. The court's liberal majority accepted a radical redefinition of marriage and imposed its morality on the rest of society.

In doing so, five unelected judges rejected thousands of years of Judeo-Christian understanding, as well as congressional statutes, and set the stage for invalidating the will of the people in more than two-dozen states that have voted to maintain the traditional definition of marriage. Does the consent of the governed matter at all anymore?

It seems as though America is on the verge of criminalizing the Book of Genesis. And with Obamacare's assault on conscience, the danger to religious liberty cannot be overstated.

Rios: 'God Will Even the Score' with Obama and Gays

After denouncing First Amendment protections for Muslim-Americans, American Family Association talk show host Sandy Rios said that despite the political setbacks of the Religious Right, “God will even the score” with President Obama and “homosexual activists.” She said that Obama and “homosexual activists” will be punished in the end for “breaking all kinds of moral laws and mocking everyone in the process.”

I would not want to be in the shoes of any of the left right now. I would not want to be in Barack Obama’s shoes. I would not want to be in the shoes of homosexual activists. I say that with humility and with fear for them because God will even the score, he will sort things out, he will be God and he will not be mocked. Whereas they think they are getting away with breaking all kinds of moral laws and mocking everyone in the process, they just don’t know God, they don’t know who they are up against and we do. And that should bring out some mercy in us because I wouldn’t want to be—what did that old evangelist say: ‘it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God.’

Scarborough: Obama's Condemnation of Russian Anti-Gay Law 'Puts Our Country in a Very Precarious Place'

Rick Scarborough hosted Kris Mineau, who leads the Massachusetts Family Institute, on a Tea Party Unity conference call today to discuss his fight against LGBT rights efforts in the Bay State. Mineau told listeners to worry about the State Department’s “worldwide advancement of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights” and understand the true meaning of President Obama’s statement that Russia’s ban on pro-gay rights speech violates “basic morality.”

According to Mineau, Obama’s opposition to the Russian law means that “if you or I oppose same-sex marriage, we are immoral.” Scarborough, meanwhile, added that “what the President is now saying is that God’s word is a direct assault on people—the lesbian and gay community—that God’s word is clearly wrong and that puts our country in a very precarious place.”

Russian Lawmaker Who Authored 'Homosexual Propaganda' Bill Now Wants To Investigate Critics

Yelena Mizulina, the Russian lawmaker described as “Vladimir Putin’s new morality crusader” and co-author of the country’s new “homosexual propaganda” ban hailed by Religious Right activists in the US, is now going after opponents of her policies.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports that Mizulina is having authorities question journalists, politicians and comedians who criticized her ultraconservative laws. One politician said he was quizzed about the details of “Mizulina’s gay-oral phobias” and RFE/RL’s Dmitry Volchek writes that the “news agency Rosbalt says investigators asked for the names of journalists who have written about Mizulina.”

An online petition, noting Mizulina’s aggressive anti-gay activism and attempt to ban swear words on the internet, requests that the health ministry “check the mental health” of Mizulina to determine if she is fit to serve in the Duma.

The barrage of caustic jokes it has generated on the Internet has riled Mizulina, who now accuses several journalists and public figures of defaming her by claiming she is bent on eradicating oral sex in Russia.

Socialite and opposition activist Ksenia Sobchak, who was interrogated last week after making such a claim on Twitter, says investigators repeatedly asked her why she thought Mizulina held such views.

Journalists Yelena Kostyuchenko and Olga Bakushinskaya, as well as former Deputy Prime Minister Alfred Kokh, have also been questioned.

"Two lieutenant colonels from the Russian Investigative Committee clarified for three hours details about Mizulina's gay-oral phobias and my own relation to this," Kokh wrote on his blog.

Sobchak said a dozen people are on what she branded the "Mizulina List."

Insulting an official is an offense in Russia that carries fines of up to 40,000 rubles ($1,200) and up to one year of community service. Libel is punishable by a fine of up to 1 million rubles ($30,000).

Internet users accuse the authorities of seeking to silence one of the last arenas of free speech in Russia.

The news agency Rosbalt says investigators asked for the names of journalists who have written about Mizulina and denounced the request as the first "attempt by a Duma deputy to interfere in the agency's editorial policies" in its 12-year existence. An online petition launched by stand-up comedian Yury Khovansky, who is calling for the lawmaker to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, has already gathered more than 60,000 signatures.

If signed by 100,000 people, the petition will be submitted to the State Duma.

"What she is doing, and this 'Mizulina List,' is an unprecedented threat to freedom of speech," Khovansky says. "If people are now prosecuted and fined for expressing their opinion on the actions of officials -- who are actually elected by the people -- you can just imagine what will happen to media freedom and openness more generally."

Mizulina, whom detractors have nicknamed "The Inquisitor," has tirelessly warned against Russia's moral and demographic decline. She and her committee have penned a string of initiatives aimed at instilling traditional values in Russians, including a ban on cursing and a tax on divorce.

Harvey: LGBT Rights Leads to the 'Oppression' of Parents

Linda Harvey of Mission America is furious about the United Nations Human Rights Office’s Free and Equal initiative, warning that it will contribute to the “oppression” of parents and curtail the freedom of speech. She described the campaign, which promotes legal protections based on gender identity and sexual orientation, as “deceptive” since universal rights do not “apply to harmful, high risk, sexual conduct that no one needs to do.”

“No one, if these people have their way, would have the actual universal human right to live out a religious belief that upholds man-woman sexuality within marriage as the standard and all other sexual practices as sinful,” Harvey continued, alleging that the campaign is focused on “denying free speech and other rights, including forcing the indoctrination of children into accepting homosexuality whether their parents like it or not.”

She maintained that the “incidences of oppression and discrimination” by LGBT rights advocates “against people of faith and against parents are piling up.”

Ruse: 'Most Of The People In The United States' Would Agree With Russia's Anti-Gay Law

C-FAM president Austin Ruse is standing by his firm defense of the Russian law criminalizing speech that is deemed “information about non-traditional sexual behavior” to minors, which he said would even have the support of the American public. While filling in for American Family Association talk show host Sandy Rios today, Ruse discussed the “homosexual propaganda” law that is part of a growing and violent crackdown on the Russia’s LGBT community, arguing that it is “a good thing that there are laws against proselytizing the homosexual lifestyle to school children.”

He then argued that most Americans would be just fine with a ban on pro-gay rights speech: “I dare say that most of the people listening right now and most of the people in the United States would say that it would be inappropriate to proselytize the homosexual lifestyle to school children and that’s what they are doing in Russia.”

Ruse even said that the law was a fair compromise for a parent who “does not believe that this way of life is appropriate or healthy and you do not want this presented in a positive manner to your children,” while on the other hand doesn’t believe “homosexuals should be discriminated against in an unjust way.”

NOM's Bill Owens Praises Russia Anti-Gay Law

National Organization for Marriage’s religious liaison William Owens emailed members of the Coalition of African-American Pastors last week hailing Russia’s law banning gay “propaganda” and chiding President Obama for speaking out against the law. He accused the Obama administration of trying “to force its immorality, depravity and sin on another nation,” while warning that “the free fall of our nation” and “the overall decline” of America represent “a ‘heavenly verdict’ against this nation.”

“I applaud the Russians for taking a stand for children!” Owens writes, saying that “this response from the homosexual community is absurd.” “[I]t appears that the leaders of Russia are attempting to stem the tide of moral decline in ‘their’ country,” he continues.

When I heard the news report regarding Russia’s new law prohibiting the propagating of homosexuality I was intrigued but the outcry that followed from the American news media, the LGBT community, and gay rights advocates was very disturbing. Many of these organizations threatened to push for a ‘boycott’ of the U.S. Olympics, while others threatened to put pressure on our legislature, and congressional representatives to compel Russia [a sovereign nation] into backing away from what ‘they’ consider a ‘discriminatory’ law. I believe that this is just another one of their ploys to cover their real intent, which is to force the acceptance of a lifestyle that is a clear violation of American values and moral law.

Friend, this response from the homosexual community is absurd. Since when does America have the right to force its immorality, depravity, and sin on another nation? We are currently witnessing the free fall of our nation. Over the past five years, we’ve moved from a super power position to a nation that is perceived to be weak and contemptible. This overall decline of our nation has proven to be an unequivocal manifestation of a ‘heavenly verdict’ against the nation.

With the battle for the family waging across this nation, instead of condemning a sovereign nation for its laws we need to be changing ours. The family unit is under attack and we must stand against those who want to redefine and destroy it. The family is the foundation of a society and the glue that holds it together. I applaud the Russians for taking a stand for children!

And though I cannot honestly speak to the morality of Russia or its leaders, I can say that it appears that the leaders of Russia are attempting to stem the tide of moral decline in ‘their’ country. And I do acknowledge that things are not ideal there, but it seems to me that we need to take the beam out of our own eye before we are in a position to take the beam out of theirs! America is not in a position to judge or impose our so-called ‘morality’ on anyone, let alone a sovereign nation!

My friend it is time to turn back to God, and it is time to get our [spiritual] houses in order. No matter where you are spiritually, if you are reading our newsletters, bells and whistles must be going off by now. I am very concerned for our nation and as a minister of the Gospel; I must declare to you that our nation is in trouble. We must pray without ceasing for our nation and we ask for your support to help us stay in the fight.

Gay-Inclusive Curriculum Leads to Witchcraft, Child Molestation

Last week, Sandy Rios spoke to a South Carolina teacher named Ira Thomas who denounced the National Education Association’s gay-inclusive curriculum during the union’s Atlanta convention and even compared the curriculum to instructing children on how to use crack.

Thomas also spoke about his anti-gay activism to Linda Harvey, a harsh critic of the NEA, over the weekend and this time said that gay-inclusive curriculum will let people force “things on us in school that we don’t believe in from witchcraft to even the molestation from children.”

Later in the interview, Thomas likened the issue to the Penn State abuse scandal where “so many people knew what was going wrong but no one spoke out for whatever reason.”

Thomas: There was another item about showing a video and I can’t remember what video but it was something dealing with the gay and lesbian [sic], but after sitting through several of those I decided it was time to let the voice be heard instead of sitting by and saying nothing.

Harvey: So what did you eventually say?

Thomas: In short I told them as a person I do not have a right to discriminate, but by the same token they do not have a right to disseminate what I consider to be harmful material to children. I do not have a right to tell them what to choose but they also do not have a right to choose a curriculum for me that I feel is biblically wrong. It’s like with prayer, it’s not right for me to put my Christian beliefs on anybody, it is right for me to share the Gospel, but even Christ gave us the choice. If we’re going to go there then the next thing we know we’re going to have everybody forcing things on us in school that we don’t believe in from witchcraft to even the molestation from children.

Thomas: I don’t want to take this analogy too far but the best one I can think of is the incident that happened at Penn State. So many people knew what was going wrong but no one spoke out for whatever reason. Even with this, we can believe it in our heart but if we don’t ever speak out we are allowing things to go and to keep going on and on.

Rep. Ted Yoho Rails Against Gay Marriage, Food Stamps and Terrorist Immigrants

At a town hall meeting earlier this month, after he announced he would back birther legislation and accused Obamacare of being racist against white people, Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) went after gay marriage, immigration reform and food stamp funding. “I think it’s a sad state of affairs in America today that we as a society are so confused that we have to redefine what marriage is,” Yoho lamented. “It’s an institution that’s been around for thousands years and I feel like it’s ordained by God; are we that confused as a country that we have to start redefining these things?”

The congressman then moved on to food stamp funding, which the House GOP recently severed from the Farm Bill. Yolo said he doubted that around 50 million Americans face food insecurity, joking: “I think there’s 330 million people starving, at least three times a day, we call it breakfast, lunch and dinner.” He added that huge proposed cuts to food aid won’t impact anyone, telling the audience that “not one person would lose a calorie or crumb that deserves it.”

Yoho revealed that his family had used food stamps for about two months, but claimed that the cuts are necessary because it has become a “lifestyle” and that it is too easy to qualify for the program.

Yoho also expressed skepticism about new immigration reform efforts because he believes the Lebanese group Hezbollah is smuggling potential terrorists over the border: “I talked to a guy that works with Hezbollah, they call him the 007 of Hezbollah, they call him and find out he’s brought over 1,500 people here illegally that don’t like us, they want to blow us up.”

Rios and Lutzer Link Homosexuality to Pedophilia, Crime and Cleveland Kidnapper Ariel Castro

American Family Association talk show host Sandy Rios chatted with prominent Chicago pastor Erwin Lutzer today about homosexuality and the unsuccessful same-sex marriage bill in Illinois. Lutzer said one reason he opposes marriage equality is because of Chicago’s crime rate: “We have such crime here in Chicago, young people being slaughtered every night, we wake up in the morning and there’s been another murder, another teenager has been killed. They said in the midst of a society that is so desperate and so high-crime ridden, do we really now need laid upon this the destruction of the family and the destruction of marriage?”

The two also reiterated their belief that it is wrong to allow same-sex couples to marry just because they love each other. Lutzer, responding to a pro-gay marriage Facebook message, claimed that even pedophiles believe that they “love” the children they abuse. Rios added that even Ariel Castro, the Cleveland man who kidnapped three women, claimed that he loved the women he held in captivity.

Harvey: Homosexuality Is A Lot Like Overeating

Linda Harvey says gay people aren’t all that different from those who struggle with eating too much and obesity. The Mission America president argues that, like overeating and having unhealthy appetites, homosexuality is not innate and can be unlearned:

Many people struggle with appetites for food that lead to obesity but very few were born with a hormonal imbalance leading to weight gain, almost everyone learned these appetites along the way so unlearning them will also be a step-by-step process but it is most certainly possible, starting with facing the truth. It’s kind of similar with homosexual feelings. But no, the world’s message today is go for it, declare yourself and join the out-and-proud community.

Harvey claims the gay community relies on “feelings, identity and behavior: FIB…. And yes, that’s exactly what homosexuality becomes if acted upon. It’s a big lie.”

Harvey: Dying Gay Ohio Man Should've Married A Woman, Merely Pretending to be Married

Ohio-based Religious Right activist Linda Harvey today expressed outrage that a district court judge ruled on behalf of a gay couple, who are both Ohio residents but were married in Maryland, against the state’s ban on same-sex unions. One of the men has Lou Gehrig’s disease and is seeking to have his partner listed on his death certificate as his surviving spouse and be buried in the same family plot.

Harvey called their lawsuit “nonsense” and charged that if the men wanted to be married, they should have married women: “There’s no discrimination or inequality, either of these men could be married to a woman.” She said that the couple is in a pretend marriage, just like a girl who pretends to be a doctor simply because she believes she is one:

Can marriage just be what anyone thinks it is? Here’s a possible analogy. Sophie wants to be a doctor, she’s never gone to medical school but in her mind she’s qualified to treat patients, even perform surgery. But the law only allows the practice of medicine by those who have attended medical school, passed the state board exams and so on. But isn’t this unequal protection? Aren’t Sophie’s fantasies valid? She believes she should be allowed to practice medicine therefore the requirements to be a licensed MD are unconstitutional for her.

That’s right: a married gay person is no different than an unlicensed surgeon.

LaBarbera: Gays Should Take Responsibility for Catholic Church Abuse Scandal, Desecrated National Cathedral

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality was the special guest today on Sandy Rios In The Morning, where he was called in to discuss the Pope’s recent comments on gay priests. While LaBarbera didn’t think the Pope’s remarks reflected a major shift in church policy, he was worried that the new Pope isn’t anti-gay enough.

“It seems to me that the last thing that the Catholic Church needs is more homosexual priests,” he said, claiming that gay activists led a “penetration of the church” in order to molest children and shield themselves from blame: “Homosexuality has done incredible devastation to this church but you listen to gay activists and it’s like they don’t even acknowledge that, it’s so bizarre; homosexual activists never take responsibility for their own behavior and the repercussions from it.”

Rios added that gay people won’t take responsibility for the Catholic Church’s abuse scandal because they are “very narcissistic.”

When discussing recent vandalism at the National Cathedral, LaBarbera said that the Episcopal congregation was already “desecrated” by its support of gay rights.

“You could say that the Cathedral was desecrated by vandalism but I think that the Cathedral has already been desecrated by homosexual activism and sexual immorality,” LaBarbera told Rios, who asserted that the vandalism at the Lincoln Memorial was a “metaphor” for America’s decline.

Gay-Inclusive Curriculum Like Teaching Kids How To Use Crack

Sandy Rios of the American Family Association dedicated part of her radio show today to criticizing the National Education Association for its strong stance in favor of LGBT equality and gay-inclusive curricula. “I think that we can lay at the feet of the National Education Association the reason why this culture has been slouching toward Gomorrah,” Rios told her listeners. “The NEA has been for the last twenty years indoctrinating our children.”

One of her guests, a South Carolina teacher and pastor named Ira Thomas, attended the recent NEA convention in Atlanta and lamented that he is “accused of hating” because he opposes the NEA’s pro-gay “indoctrination plans.” “To me it’s like teaching people about how to use crack. It’s a dangerous game to play on,” Thomas said.

Robertson Fears Christians Will Go to Jail for Saving Gays from Hell, Stopping them from Destroying Country

Following CBN reporter Paul Strand’s heavily slanted report where he claimed that gay rights may be “biggest threat to religious liberty in all of America’s history,” Pat Robertson went on to argue that the gay community is on a mission to “destroy the church if need be, then to destroy the military if need be, then to destroy marriage if need be, then to destroy businesses if they need be.” He said that the gay rights advocates won’t stop until “the way they perform sex acts is acceptable” in society and turn America into Ancient Rome, “where sexual morality had gone out the window.”

Robertson quoted from Romans 1, which the televangelist has cited previously as proof that the Bible condemns homosexuality .

He asked: “If there are 100 million Christians in America, maximum two percent of the population are homosexual and one percent are lesbian, is that minority going to destroy all of the foundations of the morality of the majority?”

Robertson said that Christians may soon be imprisoned over their “loving” anti-gay stance.

“If you see somebody who is not going to go to Heaven and you really love him you want to do what it takes to get him into Heaven, if you don’t care about him you let him go to Hell,” Robertson continued. “We are a people who love and yet now your love is going to put you in jail because the people who are going to Hell feel their lifestyle—think, ‘well, we want to be affirmed.’”

Charisma: Devil Promoting 'Gay Propaganda,' Disney Should Have TV Show with Ex-Gay Character

The Religious Right publication Charisma today published a column by ex-gay activist Janet Boynes arguing that the devil is behind the gay community’s alleged plan “to indoctrinate an entire generation of American children with pro-homosexual propaganda and eliminate traditional values from American society.”

She praises the American Family Association affiliate One Million Moms for their campaign against “Good Luck Charlie” for featuring a same-sex couple, warning that the gay “game plan” is to “get into our schools and change the mindset of our children” and “create a new America based on sexual promiscuity in which the values you and I cherish are long forgotten.”

After arguing that the devil is responsible for such “gay propaganda,” Boynes writes that “One Million Moms should push for Disney and many other shows to air a show with a person that has left the life of homosexuality.”

As we sit and watch TV, all we see is the homosexual community taking over the airwaves. Why? because they are moving forward and not looking back. They have a game plan, and that plan is to get into our schools and change the mindset of our children, and in turn they, the children, will change the culture. Let me say this in plain English: The gay community wants to indoctrinate an entire generation of American children with pro-homosexual propaganda and eliminate traditional values from American society. Their ultimate dream is to create a new America based on sexual promiscuity in which the values you and I cherish are long forgotten.

As I read what those amazing One Million Moms did by calling Disney to shut down the airing of lesbian moms on the show Good Luck Charlie, I felt relieved to know we are still fighting for what is valuable. That was a bold move, and I commend them for taking a stand.

Really? Don't you see what's happening here, church? The gay community is getting its message across—that change in sexual orientation is not possible—only because they have been given airtime on many TV shows and movies, and the media has had a voice in telling us what is right and true in their eyes. On Thursday, for example, Good Morning America aired a story of a high school coach from Yonkers, N.Y., who came out to his basketball players.

Nothing has changed. The devil is still trying to deceive many today, and we as the church have taken the bait, hook, line and sinker. Eve said in Genesis 3:13, "The serpent deceived me" (NKJV). I'm not even going to discuss the repercussions of that choice and how it has affected humanity today.

The Bible clearly says in Revelation 12:9 that the devil will deceive the whole world. Anything contrary to the truth of God's Word is a lie. Are you being deceived by the gay propaganda?

One Million Moms should push for Disney and many other shows to air a show with a person that has left the life of homosexuality. When have we seen this kind of lifestyle being shown in a positive light on Lifetime movies, in secular media, on Capitol Hill, at the White House or on any other television show, for that matter?

Klingenschmitt: 'The Demonic Spirits Inside The Homosexual Agenda' Are Trying To Recruit Your Kids

On his most recent "Pray In Jesus Name" show, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt called for the passage of a Federal Marriage Amendment to overturn the recent Supreme Court decisions on DOMA and Prop 8.

Saying that he had recently met with Rep. Tim Huelskamp, who has introduced just such an amendment, Klingenschmitt warned that "the demonic spirits inside the homosexual agenda" are attempting to "homosexualize and recruit your children" before declaring that even if they had all of eternity, gay activists will never be able to define marriage in any way other than how it was established by God.

"You know what, Satan? You have not won this battle," Klingenschmitt proclaimed. "Your time is limited and, in the long run, Jesus Christ will rule and reign on this earth and define marriage between one man and one woman.  It's inevitable":

Conservative Catholic C-FAM Wages 'War' on Choice, Gays, Free Speech

Conservative Catholics love to portray the advance of LGBT equality as an attack on religious liberty. And they feign a “live-and-let-live” philosophy by saying things like this poll-tested talking point used by everyone from NOM to Jim DeMint: “All Americans are free to live as they choose, but no one has the right to redefine marriage for all of us.” It’s not very believable, but it’s apparently the best they’ve got.

Well, now the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute (C-FAM), a militantly anti-abortion and anti-gay group that works through the UN and other international agencies, isn’t even bothering with that liberty-loving façade. C-FAM is celebrating the draconian anti-gay law in Russia that makes it a crime even to publicly advocate for LGBT equality – and cheering the spread of similar laws in places like Lithuania and Moldova, where anti-gay hate machine Scott Lively has been pushing his poison.

An article in C-FAM’s July 25 alert crows, “Bans on Homosexual Propaganda Advance Despite Western Outrage.” The article gloats thatEastern European countries are following Russia's lead to protect children by curbing advocacy for ‘non-traditional’ sexual acts.”

C-FAM is feeling its oats this week. It has repeatedly sent an alert with the subject line, “War is Coming. You are Called.” The letter from C-FAM President Austin Ruse, written from the now-infamous Moscow airport, talks about a “war council” of European parliamentarians and UN officials that he has been meeting with behind closed doors to declare war on pro-choice advocates.

Ruse complains that “pro-abortion” governments like Belgium and the U.S. have blocked C-FAM from getting official UN recognition. But he says it hasn’t impeded their work, becausewe still have UN access wearing the badges of good friends like Family Research Council and Alliance Defending Freedom.”

Ruse is lining up his allies to win official UN recognition next January. But as of today, what he really needs is $22,000 to avert a “real financial catastrophe” and make this month’s payroll. Follow your heart.

Liberty Counsel Asks Facebook Friends to 'Like' Biblical Death Penalty for Gays

Update: Liberty Counsel has since removed the photo from their page and photo albums.

We know that Liberty Counsel has praised countries that criminalize homosexuality, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Liberty Counsel is citing Leviticus 20:13, which commands that gays are to be put to death, on its Facebook cover photo:

We are eagerly awaiting Liberty Counsel’s other Facebook images on stoning women who had sex before marriage; adultererskids who curse their parents; blasphemerssorcerers; Sabbath-breakers and false prophets.

Harvey: Children of Gay Parents 'Sense Deep Deception'; Rob Portman Will Back Marriage Amendment Repeal

Linda Harvey yesterday hailed Cleveland Right to Life for adding opposition to marriage equality to its mission statement, which previously focused on issues like abortion rights and stem-cell research. During a radio alert, Harvey said that Cleveland Right to Life leaders recently met with Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) and “made it clear that going forward his support for same-sex marriage will put him at odds with any official endorsement they are willing to give.”

“As part of that meeting, Portman revealed that he would throw his support behind any upcoming effort to overturn our Ohio marriage amendment.”

While Portman announced that he backs marriage equality earlier this year, the Associated Press reported this month that “the senator has indicated he doesn’t want to take a position as a campaign operative.”

Harvey later recounted her experience at a Pride Parade this year to rant against same-sex parents, suggesting that their kids intrinsically know something is wrong and are disturbed by their parents’ relationship: “Children know and sense deep deception and most children will sense something is not right with being proud of homosexuality.”

She found it “heartbreaking to see homosexuals haul their children proudly in front of thousands of people in the recent Columbus Pride Parade,” particularly a family with an “exploitative sign” which read “I love my two dads.”

Harvey hopes listeners tell the kids of same-sex couples that they should urge their parents to become ex-gays: “No one has to pursue a homosexual lifestyle and anyone with sense and genuine love for both the child and for our God and for his plans for us will tell that child the truth: lots of people have left homosexual desires and behavior to live lives consistent with the way God clearly made us.”

On his radio program yesterday, Bryan Fischer interviewed Caiden Cowger, a sixteen-year-old radio host who had his fifteen minutes of fame a couple of years ago when he claimed that "Obama is making kids gay." Cowger has been peddling a story to the right-wing media about an incident that occurred after a LGBT club was formed at his high school and Christian students were allegedly "forced to attend" a meeting. In introducing Cowger, Fischer warned that the push for equality represents the "greatest threat" to liberty that America has ever faced. "The... MORE
