Anti-Muslim extremists and dominionists have been finding a lot of common ground lately. We’ve already reported that Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy is becoming tight with Rick Joyner of the Oak Initiative. It was no surprise, then, to see anti-Muslim activist Steven Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism speaking to Truth in Action Ministries’ Truth that Transforms with Jerry Newcombe yesterday. Until recently, Truth in Action was known as Coral Ridge Ministries, a far-right group led by the late D. James Kennedy, whose former executive director was... MORE

Rick Joyner has recently been collaborating closely with Frank Gaffney, one of the country’s leading anti-Muslim activists who called Joyner one of his heroes, and the two discussed the need for a House Anti-American Activities Committee, warned of the rise of “Chrislam,” and feared that Muslims are taking control over the “seven mountains” of influence. Yesterday on “Prophetic Perspectives,” Joyner, who heads MorningStar Ministries and the Oak Initiative, said that “the Lord is using Islam” to send judgment on America and other countries... MORE

The vehemently anti-gay Massachusetts-based group MassResistance is now going after the Boston Red Sox for making a video against teen suicide and bullying, particularly bullying directed at LGBT children. MassResistance is led by Brian Camenker, who once said that anti-bullying efforts are part of a “very aggressive, fascist type of movement” of “homosexual activists.” The group attacked the Red Sox for endorsing the efforts of The Trevor Project and the It Gets Better Project, suicide-prevention groups that focus on LGBT youth, and accused them of being “... Frank Turek is a corporate consultant who "conducts dynamic training and development programs in Leadership, Sales, Customer Service, Team Building and other people-skill topics essential for business success." He is also a Religious Right activist who writes books like "I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist" and "Correct, Not Politically Correct; How Same-Sex Marriage Hurts Everyone" and hosts a radio program called "Cross Examined" that airs on the American Family Association's radio network. Recently, those two career paths have begun to... MORE

Earlier this month, Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy accused New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie of “misprision of treason” for appointing lawyer Sohail Mohammed, who is Muslim, to the state’s Superior Court. While speaking with Rick Joyner of MorningStar Ministries and The Oak Initiative yesterday, Gaffney said that more people need to be investigated for misprision of treason - the failure to report treasonous activity to a federal official - a federal offense punishable by up to seven years in prison. After lauding the House Un-American Activities Committee,... MORE

A few weeks ago we noted that Rick Joyner and Frank Gaffney had teamed up to fight Islam in America and said that we could probably expect to hear a lot from them as they moved forward on this joint effort. This week, the two have produced a special series for Joyner's "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program seeking to highlight the dangers of Islam and "creeping Sharia" and "civilization jihad" and all the other right-wing buzzwords. On yesterday's program, Joyner again falsely stated that the word "Bolshevik" means "minority" - it... MORE

WND sure does love promoting anti-gay books. Phyllis Schlafly sure does get worked up over the oddest things. Judicial Watch has filed a FOIA lawsuit on behalf of the Family Research Council "for records related to the DOJ's decision not to defend the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act." Poor Frank Turek. He keeps losing jobs because of his anti-gay activism. Finally, Gary Cass says that ten years after the 9/11 attacks "this murderous ideology has infiltrated all the way to the White House." MORE
