Tea Party Nation Defends Bachmann's Anti-Muslim Witch Hunt

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s witch hunt against Muslim-Americans working in government, specifically Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin, has been denounced by not only Democrats like Keith Ellison but also top Republicans such as John McCain, John Boehner, Marco Rubio, Scott Brown and even her former campaign manager. But at least Bachmann still has support from Tea Party Nation head Judson Phillips, who said in an email to members today that “John McCain needs to sit down and shut up.” Phillips also claimed while “Islam is our enemy” the Obama administration has listed “potential terrorists as Tea Party supporters.”

Michele Bachmann is a lightning rod for controversy. But there is an interesting point to all of it. Controversy always swirls around her when she is standing up for the truth. What is she doing now that is causing controversy and why is she right?

Michele Bachmann called for an investigation into the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamists who are influencing American policy.

Unfortunately some Republicans, the drive by media and Islamist sympathizers have changed the story to where it is not about the Muslim Brotherhood, a known terrorist organization, but to a story about Huma Abedin.



The Obama Regime releases report after report that names potential terrorists as Tea Party supporters, those who oppose the Obama Regime and those who advocate closing the borders and stopping illegal immigration.

Yet they will not even use the word Islam when they describe terrorism.

The fact is Islam is our enemy. Islam is a theocracy. It is not consistent with a Western Democracy. Islam demands its adherents overthrow a non-Islamic government and replace it with an Islamic government.

This has been the story of Islam wherever it has gained power for the last fifteen hundred years.

During the Cold War, Communists and Soviet sympathizers were not allowed into sensitive positions in government, except of course during Democrat administrations. When we have Islamist groups, such as the Muslim Brotherhood that want to replace our Democracy with a theocracy and this is their avowed goal, what the hell are we doing letting them anywhere near the door?

John McCain needs to sit down and shut up. Perhaps he should buy a clue about a subject before he starts talking about it.

The Islamist threat to America and to freedom is real. The question is are we going to deal with it before we are attacked again?

Tea Party Nation Urges Members to 'Totally Destroy' Liberalism

As Wisconsin voters go to the polls today for Gov. Scott Walker’s recall election, reports are coming out of the state about robo-calls telling people who signed the petition to recall Walker not to vote: “If you signed the recall petition, your job is done and you don’t need to vote on Tuesday.” Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips, who earlier likened opponents of Walker’s plan to roll back workers’ rights to the Brownshirts, emailed members about the story, saying that it proves that progressives do not care about democracy and “no longer believe in the validity of elections.” He said the liberal belief system “breeds tyrannies” and that the tea party “must not only defeat but also totally destroy this attitude if our Republic is to survive”:

If Walker and the GOP win, it breaks the back of the unions and the far left. Their only recourse is to claim the election was stolen. Much as crazy liberals still believe George W. Bush stole the 2000 election, this is the legacy the left wants to leave here.

The most disturbing part of this story is the attitude of the left. Elections no longer matter to them. They cannot accept the verdict of the voters. Either the election must be relitigated until the left wins or it must be totally tainted.

Liberals no longer accept the will of the people and move on to the next election. This bodes very badly for the future of democracy in America.

The simple truth is Democrats no longer believe in the validity of elections. Elections for them are simply a tool to gain power. They are not the voice by which the people speak.

To say this is dangerous is a major understatement.

It is this type of attitude that breeds tyrannies. We must not only defeat but also totally destroy this attitude if our Republic is to survive.

Conservatives Decry 'Bizarre' Ruling Finding DOMA Unconstitutional, Lament 'East Coast Liberal Freak Show'

Today, yet another court ruled that the Defense Of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional, this time finding that Section 3 of the law, which prevents the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriages in states where they are legal, fails the “rational basis test” as applied to laws that deny equal protection and harm a group long subject to discrimination. The unanimous ruling by the three judge panel of the First Circuit Court of Appeals, including two Republican nominees, found no “connection between DOMA’s treatment of same-sex couples and its asserted goal of strengthening the bonds and benefits to society of heterosexual marriage.”

Bruce Hausknecht of Focus on the Family’s CitizenLink criticized the court’s “unfortunate exercise of judicial tampering with the rules by which constitutional cases are decided,” and the Alliance Defense Fund’s Dale Schowengerdt said the decision permits states to “hold the federal government, and potentially other states, hostage to redefine marriage.”

Remarkably, Massachusetts Family Institute president Kris Mineau claimed that the First Circuit Court of Appeals shouldn’t have any federal power to rule on the case as “a Massachusetts-based court “…seemingly unaware that it is a federal court!

Kris Mineau, president of the Massachusetts Family Institute, argued Thursday that the ruling is "bizarre" for requiring the federal government to accept Massachusetts' definition of marriage, and violates the federal government's right to determine the application of federal benefits.

"For a Massachusetts-based court to just audaciously proclaim that the federal government is wrong and has to recognize a unique social experiment in Massachusetts for the purpose of providing benefits is bizarre and a violation of the principles of our federalist system," Mineau said, according to Reuters.

Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation told members today that marriage equality for gays and lesbians is part of the “east coast liberal freak show” bent on ruining America:

Whether we like it or not, because the liberal states have enacted homosexual marriage, sooner or later the Supreme Court is going to say those marriages must be recognized by all fifty states.

While there are many religious and moral arguments that can be made about this, the simple fact is for the last sixty years or so; the left has been attacking the basic family unit. The end result of this has been the creation of poverty where none existed before. It has been the creation of an under class, born and raised in poverty, unlikely to escape poverty and encouraged to engage in the same behaviors that landed their parents in poverty.

Given the left’s track record in this area, they should not even be allowed to offer an opinion much less pass laws as they are doing in some of the east coast liberal freak show states.

Birther and Breitbart Conspiracies Generate Buzz on the Far-Right

To nobody’s surprise, Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s “cold case posse,” funded by the birther website WorldNetDaily, said yesterday at a press conference that there is “probable cause to believe forgery and fraud occurred” in the issuing of President Obama’s birth certificate. While birtherism has been dismissed as relegated to a few fringe activists and Donald Trump, polls show that only a minority of Republican voters believe Obama was born in the U.S.

Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips, a fan of Orly Taitz’s birther crusade, appears to be under the impression that Arpaio’s investigation will actually lead to criminal charges against Obama:

Sheriff Joe’s strategy here is great. First, he is going for the easiest target. Someone obviously forged the birth certificate. With a criminal investigation, he can go places the civil lawsuits did not and courts are going to be much more reluctant interfere with a criminal probe than a civil lawsuit.

The person who forged the document is the easiest target and as a matter of criminal law, a prosecution of him or her would be pretty easy. One of the basic rules of criminal prosecutions, when you have a multi defendant conspiracy is to pick the easiest target, build the case and flip them.

Once the defendant is flipped, the prosecutors and investigators just work their way up the chain.

Assuming all of this can be proven, the trail has to end at Barack Obama. He presented the birth certificate to the nation. He has to know at the very least the birth certificate is not real. Why would Barack Obama release a forged birth certificate?

There are only a couple of reasons for that. While it could be his idea of a giant practical joke, that does not seem likely. In the law, a person who hides, alters or conceals evidence, there is a presumption that evidence is adverse to them.

That makes a lot of sense. And the question remains, why would Obama agree to a forged birth certificate? He knew the media would protect him, but why do it unless there is something to the story that he was in fact not born in Hawaii?

All of this goes back to the issue of why eligibility is so important.

If Obama is not eligible to be President, everything he did is undone. Goodbye Obamacare. Goodbye Dodd-Frank. Goodbye Kagan and Sotomayor.

If we can invalidate the Obama regime, we can undo the damage the left has so desired to do to this nation.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, last seen advocating the overthrow of the government, emailed members commending Arpaio and seemingly linking his press conference to Andrew Breitbart’s death:

It appears that the Maricopa County Sheriff's department has determined there is PROBABLE CAUSE to believe the long form birth certificate of "Barack Obama" released by the White House is a forgery. Police also believe that Obama's Selective Service card is a "poor forgery". Sheriff Joe Arpaio is one of America's most respected lawmen, but the Associated Press is attacking him over this as we expected since the Associated Press has been caught lying and distorting the truth on numerous occasions.

Radio talk show host Michael Savage tried to tie Breitbart’s death to a speech he gave at CPAC earlier this year:

“Maybe my overly active imagination kicked into overdrive,” Savage told his listeners of his decision to raise the question. “But you heard what Breitbart said – he has videos … we’re going to vet the president.”

… “I’m asking a crazy question,” Savage said, “but so what? We the people want an answer. This was not an ordinary man. If I don’t ask this question, I would be remiss.”



“He threatened the president at CPAC with video that could derail the president’s campaign,” Savage said.

“I pray it was natural causes, but we’ll never know the truth.” Savage said that if Breitbart’s colleagues have the videos, they should post them as soon as possible and make them viral “or they’ll never see the light of day.”

Tea Party Leader Calls For Cain To Drop Out Following Libya Flub

Tea Party Nation head Judson Phillips says that Herman Cain should leave the GOP presidential race after his excruciating stumble in an interview with the editorial board of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Phillips, who has endorsed Newt Gingrich for president, was referring to Cain’s inability to respond to a question about the crisis in Libya. “It is obvious Cain is in over his head and simply clueless,” Phillips writes in an alert to members yesterday, “Watching Herman Cain stumble around looking for an answer is beyond painful.”

I was wrong about Herman Cain.

I said originally that Cain could stay on message better than almost any other candidate. His 9-9-9 plan was all he would talk about and I attributed that to good messaging on his part.

I was wrong.

It is not messaging. Cain cannot talk about anything else. Tonight there is a video from the Journal Sentinel online that show an interview with Herman Cain. Forget the sexual harassment allegations. Forget Mark Block’s gross incompetence. Herman Cain needs to leave the race because he is not qualified to be President. The video is painful to watch. It is obvious Cain is in over his head and simply clueless.

And this man wants to be the Commander in Chief making decisions? Candidates have something called briefing books. These are prepared by staffers and contain, among other things, topics candidates are expected to have at least a passing knowledge of. Cain may not be expected to know the name of the President of Montenegro or the Prime Minister of Moldavia, but Libya is a question that will obviously come up

Watching Herman Cain stumble around looking for an answer is beyond painful. He looks to the ceiling, desperately seeking an answer. He responds in vague talking points.



To the Cain supporters, I simply say watch this video and ask yourself, “Is this the man you want answering the red phone in the White House at 3 AM?”

Nerves Fraying On The Right Over Potential Romney Nomination

Will tea party and Religious Right activists unite in their shared loathing of Mitt Romney? Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation sent an alert to members today pleading with them to support his chosen candidate, Newt Gingrich, over Romney. “If Mitt Romney wins the primaries, the Tea Party has lost,” Phillips writes, “and it does not matter whether it is Obama or Romney who wins the election, as there is very little difference between the two.”

The philosophy of the Tea Party in the primary season can be described in three words. Anybody but Romney. Unfortunately, this is a very bad strategy.

Is Romney now an acceptable candidate?

No! Absolutely not.



Seventy to seventy five percent of Republicans want someone other than Romney. That number is higher among Tea Party supporters. Obama’s numbers are tanking so badly that almost any Republican who can fog a mirror is going to be in good shape next year.

But before we get to the general election, we go through the primaries. If Mitt Romney wins the primaries, the Tea Party has lost and it does not matter whether it is Obama or Romney who wins the election, as there is very little difference between the two.

Granted Obama hates America and Romney at least likes America, but beyond that, from a policy standpoint, there is little difference between the two. The number of advisors that worked for both Romney and Obama is stunning, or appalling, depending on your point of view.

Romney gave Massachusetts Romneycare, which has almost bankrupted the state. His spending on welfare programs would make Obama proud and of course, he supported cap and trade and imposed draconian, job-killing environmental regulations on Massachusetts businesses.

We need a President who is committed to ripping socialism out of government, which excludes Romney who wants to grow and manage big government.

Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association, who was reproached by Romney at the Values Voter Summit, dedicated yesterday’s Focal Point to warning about a potential Romney nomination. AFA’s Michigan leader Gary Glenn already signed his name, along with other Religious Right leaders, on to a letter pleading with GOP voters not to nominate Romney. Fischer argued that Romney’s nomination will mean “the end of the Republican party as a political force” and that he has no chance of defeating Obama as a result of his well-documented flip-flopping and public perception of his Mormon faith:

Tea Party Nation: Obama Turning Military Into "A Very Expensive Video Game"

Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation warned members that President Obama is making the military far weaker through his controversial use of drones. While the use of drones has sparked controversy, they were essential in the killing of Col. Muammar Gaddafi and Al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki, and in monitoring Osama bin Laden.

Phillips explains that Obama’s increased use of drones is a result of liberals’ aversion to military action. “Drones are great for a cowardly President,” Phillips writes, “He can order the drone to hit a target and if there is success, he can claim the glory for it and if the drone fails, there is no captured American pilot or the corpse of an American pilot to be paraded about on TV.” Phillips derides liberals for supposedly not caring about the military and claims they are only determined to protect the reputation of a “liberal president”:

Obama is a many singularly devoid of his own accomplishments. There are types of men who must build their legacy on the acts of others. Obama is one of those. His legacy of war is not only dangerous but opens the door for America’s defeat.

What is his legacy?

Obama’s primary military legacy is the use of UAV’s or drones. Drones are great for a cowardly President. He can order the drone to hit a target and if there is success, he can claim the glory for it and if the drone fails, there is no captured American pilot or the corpse of an American pilot to be paraded about on TV.

In Obama’s military, gone are the swaggering fighter jocks of Top Gun or World War Two. Instead, Obama warfare is little more than a very expensive video game.



Under the Obama Defense Department, unmanned vehicles are the flavor of the day. Unmanned vehicles do have their uses, but as our primary military strike tool, they leave a lot to be desired.

Of course, for liberals, there is only one consideration with the military. In liberal land, the military must never be a political embarrassment for the liberal President. Yes, they can be around to transport the President. Yes they can be around for disaster relief. But if there is a military operation, they had better not screw up and end up with collateral damage or Americans captured or killed.

That is why Obama and the left love drones so much.



Liberals never ask the important question about defense. What are our threats and how do we defend ourselves? Instead, defense is always a political question. How do we have defense without “embarrassing” the liberal President? The answers they come up with are always wrong.

By relying on technology alone, without American airmen and soldiers actually doing the fighting, Obama is creating a legacy like his liberal predecessors.

A hollow defense that may not serve America in her time of need.

Tea Party Nation Responds To Hiring Boycott Uproar

As Right Wing Watch reported earlier this week, Tea Party Nation sent out to its members an email alert from member Melissa Brookstone calling on businesses to pledge to “not hire a single person” as a way to undermine President Obama.

Now, Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips is responding to the inevitable backlash. In an email today, Phillips writes that the boycott was just one idea of many from Tea Party members and accuses those who have decried the idea of trying to stifle free speech. The progressive backlash to Brookstone’s proposal, Phillips writes, proves that “liberalism is incompatible with liberty”:

We conservatives believe in the free market of ideas. We are not afraid of ideas. We debate ideas. We like ideas. Liberals do not like ideas because they are threatened by them.



At Tea Party Nation, we often talk about the need to defeat liberalism. Both stories are examples of why liberalism is incompatible with liberty and why it must be defeated. Liberalism is about the control of speech and thought and the suppression of any belief that does not agree with the liberal orthodoxy. Liberty means that we debate ideas and let the free market of ideas decide which one’s have merit and which ideas do not.

Tea Party Nation also sent a rambling message about the controversy from Brookstone herself, who claims that her article (which can be read here in its entirety) was taken “out of context” and that the “socialist left” raised “a literal crap storm aimed at me.” She goes on to say that now she is a victim of terrorism and that the left “seeks only to control and enslave all of humanity, as its grand goal”:

It must have touched quite a nerve with the socialist left, because it raised a literal crap storm aimed at me.



But of course the response from the left has been what it always is from them – to take things out of context, spin, lie and smear with ad hominem attacks, and I've born the brunt of that for the last two days.

But it could be a “blessing in disguise”. If they don't manage to encourage some of their “useful idiots” to actually come and kill me, they may actually direct enough attention towards me, for people to see that I published a book earlier this year, based on the fundamental principles that we should own our own lives ( not be owned by “the collective” ) and that all adult human relationships should be consensual, things that the very philosophy of socialism is firmly against.



But the behavior of the left during this whole inquisition they started against me a couple of days ago, only further illustrates the psychological techniques of projection that they indulge in, accusing the opposition of the very things they themselves are doing. One guy called me a “nazi ho”, when in fact the American Nazi Party ( as well as the Socialist Party ) endorsed the “Occupy Wall Street” movement this past weekend?

Smearing me as a “terrorist”, when they post photos of me, as if to encourage people to come after me, with the intent of terrorizing me, “racist” for disagreeing with Obama ( yawn – so old and frankly, boring by now... ), and that we're somehow all idiots because we don't have Harvard degrees, etc... The spinning, taking out of context, smearing and lying that typifies a movement that is devoid of all reason and apparently seeks only to control and enslave all of humanity, as its grand goal.

Tea Party Nation Accuses Occupy Wall Street Of Nazi Ties

Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips told members in an email alert today that the Occupy Wall Street movement is warmly welcoming the support of Communists and Nazis. “OWS seems to have no problem with Nazis or the Communists,” Phillips writes, “OWS supports forms of totalitarianism that directly killed about 250 million people in the last century and enslaved billions in poverty and tyranny.” Phillips warns that Occupy Wall Street is a “well thought out plan by far left wing groups” which the tea party must fight: “Good and evil cannot coexist…. Either we totally defeat the far left in 2012 or we lose”:

Not only the Communist Party but also the American Nazi Party has endorsed OWS as well.

The media has been falling all over itself to spin OWS as the newest liberal movement, just like the Tea Party. They have done their best to hide videos that show what the Occupy movement really believes.

Both Communists and Nazi’s are socialists. They hate freedom and liberty and both want to see freedom and liberty replaced with tyranny.

OWS claims to be a leaderless movement, yet no one involved with the movement is willing to denounce the Nazis or the Communists. Contrast that to the Tea Party movement, which went overboard to make sure no one involved with the Tea Party movement was a racist or a Nazi.

OWS seems to have no problem with Nazis or the Communists. OWS supports forms of totalitarianism that directly killed about 250 million people in the last century and enslaved billions in poverty and tyranny.

The OWS movement, contrary to the media myth that is being spun, is not just a spontaneous uprising, but rather a well-planned event. It is not simply a group of dissatisfied Americans seeking redress of their grievances. It is a well thought out plan by far left wing groups.



The far left knows as well as well as we do that 2012 will be the ultimate battle between freedom and tyranny. Either real Americans win the battle of 2012 and we will save liberty for our nation or they will win and America will slide into socialism.

Good and evil cannot coexist. One must prevail and the other must fail. Freedom and socialism cannot co-exist. Either we totally defeat the far left in 2012 or we lose.

Losing is not an option.

Tea Party Nation Urges Monday Night Football Boycott, Backs Hank Williams For Senate

After Hank Williams Jr. compared President Obama to Adolf Hitler and called him “the enemy” during a Fox News interview, ESPN dropped his theme song on Monday Night Football. Williams later acknowledged that his comments were “extreme” but didn’t back down from the analogy. Now, Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips wants Williams Jr. to run for U.S. Senate in Tennessee and wants members to stop watching Monday Night Football “until Hank Williams is brought back to sing the intro to MNF”:

No Hank, no Monday Night Football, ESPN, owned by far left leaning Disney struck back at Hank Williams today, taking his trademark, “Are you ready for some football?” song off fo [sic] the opening of Monday night football.

Why? Williams dared to insult Disney darling Obama.



Earlier this year, ESPN reprimanded Golf commentator Paul Azinger for an anti-Obama tweet.

As much as I love sports, I have just about had it with ESPN. Until Hank Williams is brought back to sing the intro to MNF, I won’t watch it and I encourage everyone else to turn off MNF.

Hank Williams, Jr. is rumored to be thinking about running for the US Senate in Tennessee. As a Tennessean, all I can say is, “Run Hank Run!”

Tea Party Nation: "Liberals Love Dictatorships"

Tea Party Nation’s president Judson Phillips warns in an email to members today that if America doesn’t see the “destruction of big government” then the consequences will be grave. “Let us alter government before it becomes destructive of these ends and requires abolition,” we writes. Citing North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue’s hyperbolic suggestion that congressional elections should be “suspended” so congressmen aren’t responsive to partisan politics during the budget debate, Phillips said that Democrats – or, as he calls them, “members of the Party of Treason” – are going to impose a dictatorship because “liberals love dictatorships.” Phillips absurdly claimed that Nazi Germany, Maoist China and the Soviet Union were all based on liberalism, arguing that liberals require dictatorships because their “ideas suck”:

The desperation to impose socialism on America against the will of the American people is now being seen from members of the Party of Treason. They speak openly of the problems of liberty.



Liberals love dictatorships. In a dictatorship, they can just push their crackpot ideas and not have to worry about the little people complaining about a few minor details like, the ideas don’t work. The ideas suck.

Their model has worked so well in the past. History has the precedents of their ideas. Just look at the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, and China under Mao, Eastern Europe under the Warsaw Pact, Vietnam after 1975, Cambodia and Cuba.



What Bev Perdue and the left do not want is the next election that is going sweep them out of power. This is the moment where they will be the most dangerous. Between the unelected czars and the left’s last desperate gasp, as they try to push socialism down our throats one last time, we face not only the time of greatest peril but also the time of greatest opportunity.

We must find new leaders to replace these bad leaders. The people we select must have as an overriding belief in the idea that big government must be dismantled and we must take steps to ensure that never again is a socialist in the White House.

We need to remember the words our founding fathers put in the Declaration of Independence.

“That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government,”

We must make certain we have new leaders in 2012 to replace the bad leadership we have had. We must make certain that our new leaders are committed to liberty and the destruction of big government. Our government needs much altering. Let us alter government before it becomes destructive of these ends and requires abolition.

Anti-Immigrant Activists Blast Perry Over DREAM Act Defense

At last night’s Republican presidential debate Gov. Rick Perry defended a state law he signed that allows the children of undocumented immigrants living in Texas to pay in-state tuition at the state’s public colleges and universities. Although Perry has attacked the federal DREAM Act as “amnesty,” anti-immigrant activists are furious over his defense of the Texas law.

In a statement, Americans for Legal Immigration-PAC president William Gheen speculated that Perry has “assured his own defeat”:

Texas Governor Perry destroyed his chances of winning the GOP Presidential primary during last night's debate when he defended his support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens which is opposed by 81% of all Americans.

"Rick Perry proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is not the right choice for America by supporting these radical illegal immigration attracting measures," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "Perry's support for in-state tuition for illegals forces taxpayers to pay to replace their own children in the limited seats in our colleges!"



"GOP voters cannot vote for Rick Perry now without legitimizing and supporting in-state tuition for illegal immigrants," said William Gheen. "Perry has assured his own defeat despite the fact that he is receiving so much support and favoritism from globalist groups in the media. It is clear to me that the globalists who are responsible for illegal immigration in America are using their power to promote Rick Perry at this time."

Chris Chmielenski of Numbers USA also criticized Perry:

Legal immigration aside, the storyline of tonight's debate was Gov. Perry's insistence to stand behind his decision to sign the Texas Dream Act, granting in-state tuition benefits to illegal aliens. Perry's response continues to be that these individuals will become a drag on society, but what he fails to understand is that with or without an education, these young people can't legally work in the United States. Plus, as Rick Santorum pointed out, no one is denying illegal aliens an education. Illegal aliens can still go to the University of Texas, but they should have to pay the same tuition rate that Arizona residents who attend the University of Texas pay.

Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation wrote in an email to members that his stance will haunt him throughout the primary:

How?

By pandering to the illegal alien vote.

Perry has gained a lot of traction from the Tea Party movement. By doubling down on the illegal alien issue, he has gained no friend and alienated many in the conservative movement.



His support of illegal aliens is hurting him.

Even American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer got into the mix, taking particular issue with Perry’s claim that those who oppose in-state tuition for the children of undocumented immigrants don’t “have a heart”:

It’s fine to say we should not punish children for the sins of their fathers. But neither should we reward them. And we are not just rewarding the children, we are rewarding the parents, since many of them stole into the U.S. because they wanted to give their children a shot at a decent education. (The solution: help Mexico improve its educational system.) So Gov. Perry simply cannot get around the fact that he is rewarding the illegal behavior of aliens who have no right to be here. That is an exceedingly troublesome position for someone who wants to be our nation’s chief law enforcement officer.



Public schools at every level should be reserved for students who have a legal right to be in this country. The immigration status of every applicant should be checked and enrollment reserved for legal residents of the United States. If illegal aliens wants [sic] to pursue higher education, let’s repatriate them to their native land where they can pursue education to their heart’s content.

Tea Party Nation: Real Injustice Is That Troy Davis Wasn’t Executed Sooner

The state of Georgia executed Troy Davis last night for murdering a police officer, despite alarming claims of severe police mismanagement, lack of physical evidence tying Davis to the crime, and the fact that seven of the nine eye-witnesses who testified against Davis later recanted their testimony. But according to Judson Phillips, president of Tea Party Nation, the most troubling aspect of the case was that it took twenty years to execute Davis, who was convicted in 1991. “His cause was taken up by liberal celebrities (a pretty good indicator that the jury got it right) as well as the usual suspects,” Phillips writes in a blog post, adding, “A broken system? Only a far left activist can get paid to make such idiotic statements”:

Last night, Troy Davis was executed in Georgia for the murder of an off duty police officer.

In 1989 Davis shot and killed an off duty police officer, Mark McPhail. He was convicted of capital murder in 1991 and spent the last 20 years on death row. His cause was taken up by liberal celebrities (a pretty good indicator that the jury got it right) as well as the usual suspects.

The left wing went nuts, even to the point of threatening Mark McPhail’s 77 year old mother, requiring her to get police protection. Benjamin Jealous of the NAACP tweeted,” In death, Troy Davis will live on as a reminder of a broken justice system that kills an innocent man while a murderer walks free."

A broken system? Only a far left activist can get paid to make such idiotic statements.



Troy Davis was on death row for twenty years. He was given a trial by a jury of his peers and then had countless opportunities to relitigate his death penalty.

The justice system was not broken.

On second thought, may be it was. For twenty years, he sat on death row while Mark McPhail’s family had to endure all of the appeals. Perhaps the question we should be asking is why does it take twenty years and an untold amount of taxpayer money for justice to be delivered?

Tea Party Nation: Obama Ineligible To Serve, Gay

Yesterday Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips sent to TPN members a post by activist Kevin Lehmann titled “51 Bullet-Pointed Facts That Dispute Barack Obama's Identity & Eligibility to be President!” Phillips has consistently praised the ‘birther’ movement, and Lehman’s “facts” were mostly a long list of discredited claims about President Obama’s eligibility to serve as president that were put to rest with the release of his long form birth certificate. Lehman’s diatribe against Obama includes accusations that the president is the product of a Hawaiian communist conspiracy and may have been involved in murder. He also republishes the claims of Larry Sinclair, who failed a polygraph test over his claims that he had sex and used cocaine with Obama:

The American public was essentially made nationally aware of Barack Obama following his 2004 speech at the Democratic National Convention. Obama’s emergence into national politics was not a gradual inception. It was a sudden, covert ascendance to power seemingly assisted by foreign-like forces as an assault on vintage American conscience.



Based on investigations in the 1950’s and 1960’s, a disproportionate concentration of pro-communist activity was found to have become a part of Hawaiian culture. This is substantiated by an increase in the population and activity of communist sympathizers identified by the House Committee on Un-American Activities hearings conducted after WWII, during the beginning of the cold war between the U.S. and communist Russia. Evidence of pro-communist presence in Hawaii can be found in publications like the Honolulu Record in which one of Obama’s communist mentors, Frank Marshal Davis was a columnist.



To date, no administrator, or official of the Obama administration has ever confirmed that Obama was born in Kapi’olani Medical Center.

To date, Obama’s operatives have failed to identify the identity of Obama’s actual birthing doctor.



To date, no living eyewitness of Obama birth exists. It is assumed that his birth was witnessed by at least three people including his doctor and his mother. However, no documentation of the birth has been provided containing the name of the doctor or eyewitnesses.



Quarles Harris was a key witness in a federal probe into charges that Obama’s passport information was stolen from the State Department, when he was fatally shot in front of a Washington D.C. church. Harris had been working as a contractor at the State Department and was cooperating with federal investigators when he was murdered.

In December, 2007, Donald Young was a choir leader at Obama’s church, First Trinity Baptist, and school teacher, who many believe had carnal knowledge of Obama’s past. Young was found shot to death in his Southside Chicago apartment.



Of all the sordid stories circulating about Obama’s past, the one told by Larry Sinclair is the darkest. Sinclair posted a YouTube video alleging that he and President Barack Obama engaged in sexual acts and drug use together in 1999, when Obama was an Illinois State Senator. He claims that then-State Senator Obama procured powdered cocaine for Sinclair, and crack cocaine for himself, which Obama allegedly smoked.

Sinclair also alleges that their drug use was followed by sex acts that included Sinclair performing fellatio on Obama. These acts were alleged to take place in a limousine from which Sinclair provided cell phone records to prove his location on the dates in question. Testimony from the limosine driver has never been publicly published. Sinclair was asked to provide “intimate details” about Obama’s physical features which would prove Sinclair’s claims. His testimony has never been published or made public. Sinclair confesses openly that he is a convicted felon having served time for check fraud and drug possession.

Tea Party Nation's Latest Homophobic Attack Targets Barney Frank

Tea Party Nation keeps pushing anti-gay attacks, from supporting anti-LGBT bullying to defending Michele and Marcus Bachmann’s clinic’s use of ‘ex-gay’ reparative therapy. Now, Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips is using the current debate on the debt and the Defense budget to launch another anti-gay smear against Rep. Barney Frank, the openly gay Democratic congressman. Phillips called on Tea Party members to oppose Frank’s proposal to cut defense spending, arguing that the Tea Party should support more spending since he believes “Obama wants to destroy the American military,” and taunted Frank by saying that the Defense Department “needs to send Frank a new ‘friend’” who can change his mind:

One of the leaders of the Party of Treason demanding cuts is Barney Frank. Right we should listen to Barney Frank. The last time we listened to Barney Frank we ended up with the sub prime crisis and a wrecked economy. And now he wants to do that to national defense? At least, unlike when he was regulating Fannie Mae, he isn’t sleeping with anyone in the Defense Department as he proposes future policy. Wait, maybe that is the problem. With the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, maybe DOD needs to send Frank a new “friend” and the DOD budget will do better.



Defense is the one area, even in the time of a depression, such as the Obama depression, when we should be increasing spending. Instead of retiring a couple of aircraft carriers, what do you think would happen if the Obama regime decided to build a couple of new ones! (No, I’m not on drugs. I know Obama wants to destroy the American military. This is just a hypothetical)



If we decided to build a couple of new carriers, thousands of workers would be hired for the shipyards. Thousands of employees would be hired for the steel mills that would provide the steel for the hull and various sub contractors would hire thousands. Do you know what that means?

It means they would receive paychecks and go out and spend that money. That would help a recovery. That is a shovel ready project! Increasing spending for the military does a couple of things. It not only not only [sic] stimulates the economy, it protects our nation. That is a better investment than say spending money on teaching Chinese prostitutes how to drink responsibly.

Tea Party Nation: "We Must Stand With The Bachmanns" Against Gay Rights

Tea Party Nation has increasingly voiced a militant opposition to gay rights, endorsing activists who maintain that LGBT equality will destroy America and that anti-LGBT bullying is “healthy.” Now, the tea party group’s president Judson Phillips himself is calling on activists to rally behind Michele Bachmann and her husband Marcus as they face scrutiny over their clinic’s use of “reparative therapy” and their long opposition to gay rights.

Phillips claims that the gay rights movement is part of a larger “liberal freak show” different from the rest of the country, arguing that “most Americans do not believe homosexuality is a good thing”:

The liberal freak show is coming after Michele Bachmann. That is not much of a surprise. Bachmann is running a very disciplined campaign, encouraging conservatives and running with a conservative agenda. But now the left is coming after her.

The left wants to use the gay rights issue against her. Bachmann’s husband, Marcus is a therapist and according to the left, he has committed a horrible crime. He used therapy to help gays who did not want to be gay any more change.



Most Americans do not believe gay marriage is a good thing. Most Americans do not believe homosexuality (which is only 1-3% of the population) is a good thing, though most Americans are tolerant of most things.

The left is not tolerant. The left never allows dissent. To the horror of Americans, Marcus Bachmann once referred to gays as “barbarians.”

Barbarians?

If you are a conservative you have been called much worse and usually in much more obscene terms, for being a conservative.



Liberalism cannot stand a real debate. Liberals always lose those debates. That is why they always resort to fear, intimidation, violence and mob rule to achieve their goals. We cannot let mob rule win.

For this, we must stand with the Bachmanns.

Tea Party Nation Goes Birther

Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation is taking a stand for the Birther movement, months after President Barack Obama released his long-form birth certificate to quash discredited claims that he was born outside of the U.S. Naturally, conspiracy theorists were not satisfied by evidence, and the president of one of the country’s leading tea party groups still doubts the President Obama’s citizenship. In a column sent to Tea Party Nation members praising Orly Taitz, the fanatical birther activist who has floated armed rebellion against Obama is now embarking on yet another lawsuit based on research from the birther website World Net Daily. Phillips writes that Taitz should receive an award from the American Bar Association for her campaign to prove that Obama isn’t eligible to serve as president, suggesting she may “deserve a place among the great lawyers of this country”:

Orly Taitz has waged an almost one-woman war on the eligibility issue. She is absolutely convinced that Barack Obama is not legally qualified to be President. She had endured insults, threats, some from Judges, fines and every roadblock the Obama regime could throw her way. Had she been as tenacious on a similar issue with George W. Bush, she would be the toast of the legal community.

Orly probably does not want an ABA award, but she may be getting closer to something of great importance to her. It is the “holy grail” of the eligibility movement.

Orly Taitz may be about to get the original, type written birth certificate of Barack Obama.



If Obama was really born in Hawaii and everything is as advertised, his lawyers can simply let the birth certificate be provided to Orly Taitz and that will end the matter. Given the history of the Obama regime and his defense of his birth certificate, even though he has released a forged birth certificate, that is unlikely.



Some conservatives derisively dismiss anyone who supports the eligibility issue as a “birther.” There certainly is enough evidence out there to raise questions. The significance of the eligibility issue is what happens if we are right. If Obama was never eligible to serve as President, everything he did is void. Two Supreme Court Justices, gone. A host of Federal Judges, gone. Every bill he signed, gone. Obamacare, gone.

What are the chances of this happening? Who knows? The bigger question is, given the potential reward of undoing everything Obama has done, why any conservative dismisses the eligibility issues, as “birtherism” is simply beyond belief.

If Orly Taitz wins, she will deserve a place among the great lawyers of this country, who fought incredible odds to win justice. The left wing American Bar Association will never give her an award for this. But I’m willing to bet she’s not saving any space on her wall for an ABA award either.

Keith Ellison Opponent Accuses Him Of Being A "Radical Islamist"

A candidate running against Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison says that Ellison, who is one of two Muslim House members, is a “radical Islamist” who doesn’t uphold the Constitution. Lynne Torgerson unsuccessfully challenged Ellison as an Independent in 2010, but her floundering campaign received immense support from the Tea Party Nation and its vehemently anti-Muslim president Judson Phillips. That year, Torgerson said that Ellison “has no business being in our federal government” and that Muslims are subverting the Constitution. In a post on Tea Party Nation that was sent to TPN members, Torgerson accused the Congressman of failing “to support that the United States Constitution should be supreme over Islamic Sharia law.”

Islamic Sharia law must be banned throughout our state and federal governments.

We have duly enacted state laws and statutes throughout our 50 states in this, our United States of America. We also have duly enacted, by our elected officials, federal laws and statutes. Everyone who is a citizen of, and who lives in or visits the United States of America, is subject to the laws of our states and federal government. No one gets to come to the United States and bring their own laws here and expect them to apply in our states or federal government, or our courts. Islamic Sharia has no place in America. We must enact legislation barring the implementation of this foreign, non-representative sect of law. Islamic Sharia law must be banned throughout the United States.

Tea Party Nation: Bring Back McCarthyism And Ban Muslims From The Cabinet

Judson Phillips, president of the Tea Party Nation, is raving about Herman Cain’s stance on appointing Muslims to public office. Cain has consistently shifted and lied about his position, earning himself a “pants on fire” rating from PolitiFact. While he denies ever having told Think Progress he would have a ban on Muslims serving in his Administration, Cain told Bryan Fischer exactly that, saying he didn’t have time to screen out Muslims who support imposing Sharia law from ones who don’t. Then the presidential candidate told Glenn Beck that he would have Muslims take a special loyalty oath that wouldn’t apply to people of other faiths… which left Phillips ecstatic.

The Tea Party leader is no fan of religious pluralism, even demanding the end of the Methodist Church. Phillips says that Cain is a “politician who gets it” and salutes him for channeling Joe McCarthy in his no-Muslims policy. Phillips added that if we only continued to use the tactics of McCarthy, we “would instantly disqualify 95% of the Obama regime from holding the jobs they currently do”:

What Joe McCarthy and the House Un-American Activities Committee did back in the day was insist on one simple idea. If you are going to work for the government of the United States, you are going to be loyal to the United States. The left did not like it then because so many leftists were communists and were in fact not loyal to the United States. It is a pity we do not have a loyalty test today, as that would instantly disqualify 95% of the Obama regime from holding the jobs they currently do.

Cain makes it clear this does not apply to other religions because other religions are not a threat. Only Islam tells its followers to make war against those who do not believe and to establish a theocracy.

We keep hearing that Islam is a religion of peace, but remember past conduct is the best indicator of future behavior. Islam has been at war with the West for 1400 years. Muslims are told they are to be at war with the unbelievers.



On this Cain is absolutely right. If we cannot prove you are loyal to the United States, you can do many things, but you will not work for the United States government.

Right-Wing Groups Make Desperate Last-Minute Attacks On Goodwin Liu, Demand Filibuster

Even after Republicans in the Senate and their conservative allies railed against filibusters of judicial nominees during the Bush administration and pushed to give even the most far-right nominees up-or-down votes, it appears that they have made an exception for President Obama’s nominees.

The Senate is expected to vote tomorrow on UC Berkley Law Professor Goodwin Liu, who is nominated to serve on the 9th Circuit Court. While many conservative legal scholars support Liu, many in the GOP “appear to be opposing his nomination because he is too qualified.” Republicans have worked for over a year to denounce Liu with discredited attacks, and now right-wing groups are pressuring Senators to filibuster his nomination.

Mario Diaz of Concerned Women for America claims that Liu is a “real danger to our freedoms” and Republicans must do everything possible to prevent his confirmation:

"To everything there is a season," says Ecclesiastes 3:1, and the time for Republican senators to fight on judicial nominations is now!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) has filed cloture on the nomination of radical professor Goodwin Liu to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Simply put, Mr. Liu must never be confirmed to this lifetime appointment, and senators should use every tool available to make sure he is stopped.



Those views help expose the real danger to our freedoms with this nomination: Mr. Liu's judicial philosophy. He believes those constitutional rights must be developed, because he believes the Constitution is a "living, breathing" document that the more enlightened judges (like him, presumably) should continue to mold.



Liu's judicial philosophy cannot be more dangerous, since it could mean something different at any given point in time. Any senator who doesn't stand firmly against such a rogue nomination violates his oath to "support and defend the Constitution."

The Committee for Justice also demands Republicans have a no holds barred approach to Liu’s nomination after they failed to obstruct district court nominee John McConnell:

If all 53 Democratic senators follow the party line and vote for cloture, they will need to add seven Republican votes to prevail. The key to this vote are the 11 GOP senators who voted for cloture on Rhode Island district court nominee John McConnell earlier this month. They include Sens. Alexander, Brown, Chambliss, Collins, Graham, Isakson, Kirk, McCain, Murkowski, Snowe, and Thune.

Several of these GOP senators justified their vote for cloture by arguing that the President’s district court nominees deserve more deference or that McConnell did not quite meet the “extraordinary circumstances” threshold. The former argument is not available for appeals court nominee Liu. The latter argument, if applied to Liu, would logically require a GOP senator to answer the question “If Obama’s most radical nominee is not extreme enough to meet the extraordinary circumstances threshold, when would it ever be met?” If the answer is “never,” because the senator believes that judicial filibusters are never justified, that senator must then explain why Republicans are obliged to unilaterally disarm no matter how atrocious the nominee is.

Tom McClusky of the Family Research Council insisted that Republicans block an up-or-down vote:

Perhaps in Senator Reid’s fantasy world Goodwin Liu is a fantastic nominee. Most people agree that the nomination of Goodwin Liu is one of those rare instances constituting “extraordinary circumstances” where the U. S. Senate should reject this nominee as unsuitable for a lifetime appointment. “Extraordinary circumstances” is the standard agreed to by the bipartisan “Gang of 14” U.S. Senators in 2005 for opposing judicial nominations.

Even the Tea Party Nation is getting in the game with this alert from president Judson Phillips:

Goodwin Liu is a radical leftist. He is a professor at the University of California Berkeley. He maybe the most radical lawyer ever nominated for a federal appeals court.



If the cloture vote fails, Liu’s nomination is dead again. This is why we need to take a few minutes today and call our senators to tell them to vote against cloture. Harry Reid needs to peel off seven Republicans in order for cloture to pass. That is of course, if all Democrats vote for cloture. Unfortunately, we are dealing with the GOP, so the possibility of losing seven votes is real.
