Ever since the New Apostolic Reformation had its political coming out party at Rick Perry's recent "The Response" prayer rally, there has been a lot of investigation and discussion of the movement and the brand of Dominion Theology that is promotes ... so much so, in fact, that NAR-affiliated leaders have suddenly begun trying to downplay all their talk of taking dominion.
Os Hillman, the man behind the Reclaiming The Seven Mountain website, has recently suggested that activists should stop using the word "dominion" and instead use the word "influence"... MORE >

Earlier today Brian noted how even conservative Christian activists, like talk-show host Janet Mefferd, are marveling at the "strange turn of events" that had brought the self-proclaimed apostles and prophets of the New Apostolic Reformation together with the traditional Religious Right activists and put on display for the world to see at Gov. Rick Perry's "The Response" prayer rally.
But it is not just "mainstream" Religious Right activists who are alarmed at this development, as now even the full-blown Christian Reconstructionists at American Vision are... MORE >

Texas Gov. Rick Perry has tried to distance himself from the many extreme activists he is working with to put on The Response prayer rally, like the pastor who labeled Oprah Winfrey the harbinger of the Antichrist and the self-proclaimed ‘Apostle’ who called the Statue of Liberty a “demonic idol.” But Perry is open about his ties to advocates of Seven Mountains Dominionism, an ideology which demands that fundamentalist Christians take total control over all aspects of society. Dominionism advocate Jim Garlow is directing “National Church Mobilization” for... MORE >

Since I wrote a post a few weeks back about David Barton's open embrace of Seven Mountains Dominionism, I have gone back and re-read several of the books I have on the topic and have been watching lots of videos about it.
Today, I came across a video of Lance Wallnau - the leading Seven Mountains theologian operating today - talking about it and he makes two points that I think deserve to be highlighted: 1) that Seven Mountains Dominionism is founded upon the belief that every sphere of influence is literally being held captive by people hand-picked by Satan and 2)... While searching for something else, I stumbled upon this page for conference held in February of 2009 called "Reclaim 7 Mountains of Culture."
I took a quick look at the list of breakout sessions during the conference and saw that they consisted of 7 Mountains/Dominionist activists like Os Hillmam, Lance Wallnau, and Johnny Enlow ... as well as others like Julius Oyet, one of the key backers of Uganda's "kill the gays" legislation:
In addition to Oyet, the conference also featured a session lead by Marc Fey of Focus on the Family:
I don't really have anything... MORE >

Today's installment of Random Book Blogging come from "The Seven Mountain Prophecy" by Johnny Enlow, who explains that God sent Hurricane Katrina to destroy New Orleans because it was his way of showing gays how much he loves them:
To stay locked in homosexuality is to remain in worship of Baal - and it is specifically Baal who is about to suffer profound repercussions brought on by the Elijah revolution.
As mentioned in a previous chapter, I wrote a prophetic newsletter in October 2004 (before Katrina) warning of judgments coming to a stretch of land from Mobile to New... MORE >

On Saturday, May 1, Religious Right leaders and public officials will gather at the steps below the Lincoln Memorial to beg God to forgive America for having elected wicked leaders like President Obama. If you can’t make it to the national mall on Saturday morning, you can watch live on God TV or via webcast thanks to the American Family Association.
The "May Day - A Cry to God for a Nation in Distress" event is the brainchild of Janet Porter, a Religious Right activist/conspiracy theory-promoting radio host, and member of presidential hopeful Mike... MORE >

Given the relatively recent rise of self-proclaimed prophets and apostles such as Cindy Jacobs and Lou Engle within the Religious Right movement, I've recently read several books by Engle, Peter Wagner, and Johnny Enlow to try and get a better understanding of the theology and agenda behind this movement.
Yesterday, I finished reading Jacobs' "The Reformation Manifesto: Your Part in God's Plan to Change Nations Today" and just wanted to highlight a section that exemplifies the difference between the standard Religious Right leaders and this new breed of prophetic intercessors... MORE >
