Boykin: Military Leaders Abetting 'Destruction Of This Nation' To Save their Jobs

Jerry Boykin, the retired Army general who now serves as a top official at the Family Research Council, joined FRC President Tony Perkins on his “Washington Watch” radio program last night to discuss a letter that he and other retired officers have sent to Congress urging them to reject the nuclear deal with Iran.

Boykin, of course, could not help discussing the issue in apocalyptic terms, telling Perkins that current military leaders are going along with the deal in order to save their jobs even though it will lead to the “destruction of this nation.”

“Is this another case where current military leaders are just kind of going along with the president’s dangerous policies because they don’t want to damage their career?” Perkins asked.

“I think it’s a clear case of that, Tony,” Boykin responded. “First of all, when 75 percent of America is against this, is it a stretch to say that the majority of the military leadership is as well? And they are closer to the issue than anybody else.”

“So what we see now is we see a bunch of senior leaders in our military that have put their careers first,” he said, “that have taken care of themselves before they do what’s really important to them, which is the Constitution of the United States and the future of this nation.”

“I’ll get a lot of criticism for this,” he added, “but that’s okay, you still love me and Jesus loves me so that’s all I really care about, but it’s incredible to me that we have leaders in our military that will go along with something that absolutely portends the destruction of this nation and an abysmal future for their grandchildren.”

Beck & Boykin: This Is America's 'Last Call' As We've Become Worse Than Sodom And Gomorrah

Glenn Beck interviewed the Family Research Council's Jerry Boykin on his television program last night and both men agreed that God has "laid down a red line" for America and that we must now "choose life or death."

Citing the nuclear deal with Iran, ISIS persecution of Christians in the Middle East, and the Planned Parenthood videos, Beck said that he has "a bad feeling that this is kind of a last call with God" before the complete destruction of this nation.

Boykin, of course agreed, declaring that "great societies ... have only lasted for about two hundred years and they all follow into the same pattern."

"They fall into exactly the same pattern that America is falling into where we begin to lose our identity, and in doing so we lose our morality, and in doing so we lose our families and our culture and that's where America is," Boykin said. "What is the difference between America and Sodom and Gomorrah, which ultimately was destroyed? And there is a difference. One difference, on the negative side, is that we can kill more babies in a much quicker time period because we have [better] technology than Sodom and Gomorrah."

"We are at a crossroads and America must choose which way they're going to go," he continued. "I believe God is actually giving us an opportunity to recognize our need for Him and to repent and to turn back to a reliance on inalienable rights versus the rights that come from government and man."

Frank Gaffney Calls For Impeaching John Kerry, Attacks His Iranian-American Son-In-Law

Frank Gaffney, the prolific anti-Obama conspiracy theorist who hosted a number of Republican presidential hopefuls at a national security summit in New Hampshire last weekend, said on his radio program today that Secretary of State John Kerry should be impeached because of the Iran nuclear deal and claimed that Kerry wasn’t a “credible” negotiator in the first place because his has an Iranian-American son-in-law and shows a “pattern of betrayal of our country.”

Gaffney asked his guest, Family Research Council official Jerry Boykin, to comment on the “vulnerability” exposed by the fact that Kerry “is involved through the marriage of his daughter with Iranians, some of whom live in this country but some of whom have family in Iran” and by the controversy over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email address.

Boykin responded that Gaffney should add to his threat list Huma Abedin, the Clinton aide who was at the center of a Gaffney-led witch hunt against Muslim Americans in the federal government.

“Add that into the equation and you have to ask yourself, how can a guy like John Kerry with that kind of connections to Iran through marriage actually be credible in terms of dealing with the Iranians,” Boykin said.

Gaffney concluded that Kerry should be impeached for the nuclear deal: “My feeling is that the guy should be impeached, really, for the conduct that he has engaged in this deal. As you say, it fits a pattern of betrayal of our country going back to his time as a veteran of the Vietnam War, but it’s now reached a level where the dangers are so immense to all of us.”

Later in the program, Gaffney asked Boykin about the Pentagon’s plan to eventually allow transgender people to serve openly in the military, which Boykin unsurprisingly said wouldn’t “contribute to readiness.”

But Gaffney wanted to go even further, claiming that allowing transgender people to serve “actually harms readiness.”

“I feel lots of this stuff, whether it’s gays in the military, or whether it’s the impact of women in conduct, to say nothing of this transgender stuff, it is a net very, very harmful,” he said, claiming that it’s all part of the Obama administration’s “wrecking operation” against the military.

Tony Perkins: America's Enemies 'Very Happy' US Is Ending Transgender Service Ban

Family Research Council officials Tony Perkins and Jerry Boykin are upset, unsurprisingly, about the Pentagon’s move to eventually lift its ban on transgender service members.

The two discussed the announcement on yesterday’s edition of “Washington Watch,” where Perkins wondered if military leaders should resign in protest of the policy. Boykin agreed that top military officials should quit over the matter and tell the president that “this is going to destroy our military and it’s the next thing in the chain of events that will ultimately destroy our readiness.”

Perkins added that “just a third of voters think it’s a good thing” to allow “homosexuals openly serving in the military,” despite the fact that polls taken before the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell showed 75 percent of voters supporting allowing gay people to serve openly in the military.

“This is insane,” Boykin said of the move toward allowing transgender people to serve openly.

Perkins explained that “some of these individuals would not be in a state of readiness if their units were called up because they were getting certain hormone therapies or surgeries,” claiming that it is too expensive for the military to “be paying to rearrange the parts on service members.”

“They are in a situation where those hospitals are overworked, overloaded and it’s difficult for them to get the care they need and now we’re talking about spending money to have people be able to change their plumbing, that just doesn’t make sense to me,” Boykin said.

He continued: “What do you think our adversaries are thinking as they look at us and all of the stuff that we’re doing? We’re putting women in infantry units. What do you think they think of us? What is their impression of us? I think they believe we’re a bunch of clowns that have lost our way, we don’t know where we’re going or what we’re going to do when we get there. And I think that they see exactly what’s happening in this country that we’ve lost our focus on fighting and winning wars and protecting the nation and now we are all about appealing to special interest groups, that’s what it is about.”

Perkins concurred: “I think they are very happy with what they see — not the allies, our enemies are — because this degrades our military effectiveness and readiness.”

Takeover! Jade Helm 15 And Eight Other Obama Plots That Keep The Right Up at Night

It seems that radical right-wing conspiracy theorists have the ear of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who recently ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor a U.S. military exercise called Jade Helm 15. According to many of these far-right activists, Jade Helm 15 is part of a secret effort to take over conservative states like Texas, impose martial lawconfiscate people’s firearmsround up “patriotic men,” force people into cattle cars and lock them up in Wal-Marts that have been converted into FEMA camps.

Abbott has since tried to distance himself from the conspiracy theory, but Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Tex., has demanded — and apparently received — a meeting with military leaders over the matter.

Jade Helm 15 is just the latest in a litany of far-right conspiracy theories about President Obama planning a military takeover of the country. While none of the theories has ever actually panned out, far-right pundits and activists keep inventing new ones, insisting that whoever doesn’t agree with them either doesn’t see the truth or is enabling Obama’s dictatorial agenda.

Remember: Obama’s plot against America goes all the way back to his birth…

1) Barack the Baby Communist

Faith 2 Action founder Janet Porter, who recently worked with Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul and several GOP candidates on a film about how the gay rights movement will “criminalize Christianity,” revealed to WorldNetDaily readers just two weeks into Obama’s first term that she had learned through a chain email that the president had been planted as a baby by Russian communists who would use him to take over America.

“I can’t prove whether it’s true or not, but in light of all that is happening, it just doesn’t seem that far-fetched anymore,” Porter wrote, claiming that the letter was “not some e-mail scam” and that she personally reached out to its source to confirm the details.

According to the email’s author, during the early 1990s he met two Russian scientists, spouses “V.M” and “T.M,” who told him that “you will have a black president very soon and he will be a Communist” … named “Barack.” The Russians continued:

This is not some idle talk. He is already born, and he is educated and being groomed to be president right now. You will be impressed to know that he has gone to the best schools of presidents. He is what you call ‘Ivy League.’ You don’t believe me, but he is real and I even know his name. His name is Barack. His mother is white and American and his father is black from Africa. That’s right, a chocolate baby! And he’s going to be your president.

It’s all been thought out. His father is not an American black, so he won’t have that social slave stigma. He is intelligent and he is half white and has been raised from the cradle to be an atheist and a Communist. He’s gone to the finest schools. He is being guided every step of the way and he will be irresistible to America

The female scientist seemed to know a lot about this young man: “She rattled off a complete litany. He was from Hawaii. He went to school in California. He lived in Chicago. He was soon to be elected to the Legislature. ‘Have no doubt: he is one of us, a Soviet …. [H]e will be a blessing for world Communism. We will regain our strength and become the number one power in the world.’ She continued with something to the effect that America was at the same time the great hope and the great obstacle for Communism. America would have to be converted to Communism, and Barack was going to pave the way.”

A few right-wing activists tried to find proof of this arrangement, alleging that Communist Party mentored and indoctrinated Obama — possibly with the help of marijuana and his “real fatherFrank Marshall Davis — into “Marxism and an anti-White world view.”

As it turned out, every single word in this chain email was true! Maybe. And now, Obama is on the brink of taking over America with his secret squads of Obamacare militias, immigrants, African Americans and/or foreign troops.

2) Obamacare Squads

Before joining the Family Research Council, retired Army Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin released a video with the far-right group the Oak Initiative suggesting that Obama is leading a “Marxist insurgency” in the U.S. He claimed that Obama inserted into the Affordable Care Act a measure that would create a personal army reminiscent of Adolf Hitler’s Brownshirts, warning that the president was “laying the groundwork for a constabulary force that will control the population in America.”

Boykin cited a provision in the health care act which prepares medical professionals to respond to emergencies such as a hurricane, along with a 2008 speech that then-candidate Obama delivered about the need to increase funding for groups such as the Peace Corps and AmericaCorps as part of a “civilian national security force,” a move backed by the Bush administration.

Several years later, the Obamacare brownshirts still haven’t materialized, but the 2008 speech remains a source of fodder for conservatives who believe, as then-Rep. Paul Broun, R-Ga., put it shortly after Obama’s election, that Obama was doing “exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did.”

Liberty Counsel head Mat Staver agreed with Boykin’s assessment, warning that the health care law created a Brownshirt-style military force loyal to the president.

Porter joined in in 2012, claiming that FEMA Corps, which trains young people to work in disaster response, might actually be “a standing army to stifle dissent” and “part of a new civilian security force that President Obama has called for in speeches.” WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah, who once alleged that Obama sent a secret signal to Muslims to “finish” the Holocaust against the Jews, similarly warned that Obama would soon “move to shut down and destroy all independent media” and would make sure that “his biggest critics will be rounded up in the name of national security.”

3) About That Executive Order…

In 2012, when Obama issued an emergency preparedness executive order similar to ones issued by presidents since Dwight Eisenhower, some right-wing commentators went ballistic since this time, the president was Obama!

Buster Wilson, then a radio host with the American Family Association’s radio network, claimed that the executive order created “the president’s version of the Brownshirts” that was equivalent to “Hitler’s own private civilian army.” Wilson also wondered if the government was setting up FEMA camps stocked with plastic coffins for mass graves.

“He is openly implementing martial law in this country,” InfoWars host Alex Jones said about the executive order. The executive order, Jones claimed, declared that administration officials would have the power to “secretly arrest Americans and disappear us any time they want” and build “the domestic security force that’s just as big and just as strong as the military Obama’s always talked about as the ‘FEMA Corps.’”

One congressman, then-Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, suggested that the president would use the executive order to seize total power. In fact, Stockman speculated that Obama may have deliberately brought Ebola to America in order to create a crisis to justify the implementation of his order granting himself “emergency powers to take over control of the economy and everything.”

4) Ebola! Remember That?

Last year, four people were diagnosed with Ebola while in the U.S., two after travelling from West Africa and two after caring for an Ebola patient at a hospital in Texas. In the eyes of conservatives, this was a widespread pandemic that was all Obama’s fault.

According to Stockman, Obama may have had an “intentional” plan to bring Ebola into the U.S. “in order to create a greater crisis to use it as a blunt force to say, well in order to solve this crisis we’re going to have to take control of the economy and individuals and so forth…. [T]here may be an overreaction where the government starts taking away the rights of those that aren’t that necessarily involved or need that to happen. I hope that’s not that case but, as you know, this current government uses crisis to advance their philosophy and their agenda.”

Conservative talk show host Michael Savage claimed Obama “might use Ebola as a pretext” to “gain even more power.”

“He wants an insurrection,” Savage declared. “He wants a pretext. He wants his Kristallnacht. He wants to take the guns, he wants to arrest people, he wants to detain people for their own safety.”

Radio host Rick Wiles predicted that Ebola was part of “a carefully crafted plan to dismantle the United States of America,” as it would be used “as the cover to round up patriots who resist the takedown of the republic” and set up “Ebola Barry’s Ebola Recovery and Re-Education Camps.”

Another far-right radio host, Laurie Roth, predicted that Obama would deliberately fuel an Ebola outbreak in order to “create a guise to declare martial law due to created outbreaks,” giving him the power to “control speech, food, travel and health care” and even “demand adults and children take some sort of mandated/mystery vaccination that kills off even more people”:

My prediction is that a forced vaccination plan from Obama and his administration is on its way. This will not only allow someone put in control (so Obama can’t be blamed) to release something potentially fatal into our system, but also act as a tracker – the complete end of our privacy and freedom.

Columnists for WorldNetDialy alleged that Ebola was part of Obama’s “orchestrated” plan to cancel the 2016 election, “‘legitimize’ a declaration of martial law in America” and make use of “the $1 billion worth of disposable FEMA coffins supposedly stored in Georgia.”

Prior to the Ebola scare, Porter took to WorldNetDaily to predict that Obama would use swine flu to “round up American citizens” and force them into FEMA concentration camps. She also told WorldNetDaily readers that the president, emulating Nazi Germany and Soviet Union, would create “a food shortage” to see that people are “starved to death.”

5) Obama’s Race War Ruse

Since predictions about Obama’s dastardly plan to infect all other Americans with the Ebola virus in order to seize power didn’t exactly come true, conservative activists have turned to recent demonstrations over issues such as racial profiling as another Obama-orchestrated plot to take control of the country.

Glenn Beck, once again citing Obama’s frequently distorted 2008 speech, said that the riots that broke out during demonstrations in Baltimore in April were part of a “set-up” by the government to engineer civil strife in order to justify a federal takeover of local police units. And, once that happens, “it’s lights out, republic.”

“This is the biggest show ever,” Beck said. “Those riots in Baltimore; that wasn’t real.”

Beck went on to say that this manufactured crisis will soon lead to a full-blown genocide in which millions of people, including Beck himself, will perish.

Others in the right-wing media took similar views. Wiles claimed that protests in Ferguson, Missouri, were all part of a plot to enable “Emperor Obama” to “start a civil war,” which would give him a reason to implement stringent gun control so people could no longer “protect themselves from tyrants.” His fellow conservative talk show host Jesse Lee Peterson said that Obama brought “chaos” to Baltimore just so “he can federalize the police departments around the country.” WorldNetDaily columnist Morgan Brittany claimed that the Baltimore riots were “planned” by the government, which she said is bent on “stirring up unrest” in order to give Obama the justification “to institute martial law to preserve order, form a national police force and postpone the 2016 elections.”

Savage, the conservative radio host, even went so far as to allege that Obama started the riots as a way to send arms to gang members under the pretext of preserving order: “It’s a race war. These are their shock troops, they don’t have the brown shirts yet, they don’t have the armbands, but soon Obama could deputize them. Isn’t that a natural army for him? Take the Crips and the Bloods, give them a green uniform and give them a weapon and they’ll keep order in the streets.”

Well before the Ferguson and Baltimore demonstrations, Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt and far-right pundit Stan Solomon predicted that the president would create a “black force” that would massacre any white people who resisted his plans.

In another interview, Pratt accused Obama of hoping to “bring violence” and “some kind of social implosion to America” as a way to keep power, with Solomon warning of “an explosion of attacks on haves by have-nots” and “more specifically on white haves by black have-nots; more specifically on Christian, heterosexual white haves by black, Muslim and/or atheist — not that there’s much difference — black have-nots.”

6) Bundy Ranch Standoff

The short-lived standoff between federal law enforcement and Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher and Fox News darling who refused to pay grazing fees for his cattle or to recognize the legal authority of the U.S. government, gave another opportunity for right-wing commentators to warn of an imminent federal takeover spurred on by Obama-instigated violence.

WorldNetDaily columnist Erik Rush pointed to the Bundy standoff as proof that “the federal government intends to control everything,” including “our food supply.” Denouncing President Obama as a someone who “embodies the diabolical Manchurian President, clandestinely working to destroy America,” Rush warned that the Bundy standoff might have been a test case for imminent FEMA camp internment.

“Do we wait until a family is slaughtered because they opened fire on government agents executing an illegal raid on their home?” he asked. “Do we wait until Department of Homeland Security operatives come around to arrest ‘domestic terrorists’ as designated by Harry Reid and ship them off to FEMA camps?”

Televangelist Gordon Klingenschmitt, who has since been elected to the Colorado legislature, said that the federal government dug “mass graves” near the ranch to hold the bodies of the “cowboys” they planned to murder. Wiles had a similar theory:

Civil unrest is brewing, the Obamanistas have tried a number of tactics to insult and infuriate the American people to respond with violence…. I expect dirty Harry Reid and his Washington sidekick Barry Soetoro will send federal agents back to Nevada this summer and my fear is that federal snipers will take out a bunch of cowboys and militia men.

Stewart Rhodes, the founder of Oath Keepers, a radical group which fears that concentration camps are coming to the U.S., stopped by a press conference at the National Press Club to deliver a “message for the feds out there” and the “idiot” Obama that the Bundy standoff could have “kicked off a civil war in this country.” Mike Vanderboegh of the Three Percenters militia said that officials such as Harry Reid were “promising us all civil war on a vast scale” through “state-sponsored violence” intended to crush freedom.

7) Obama’s Immigrant Army

Not only will Obama have loyal armies of doctors, AmeriCorps members, black protesters and gang members, but he will also, according to several conspiracy theorists, create a force of undocumented immigrants — specifically young Central American refugees escaping the drug war — to do his bidding.

Pratt, the gun lobbyist, claimed last year that Obama was forming a private “Praetorian Guard” composed of undocumented immigrants, each “loyal to the guy that brought him” into the country.

Anti-immigrant activist William Gheen offered his own version of this prediction, alleging that the federal government was “going to give the illegal immigrants badges, they’re going to give them guns, and they’re going to put them in positions of authority over Americans in every way imaginable. So when you step out your door and there’s a knock at the door, you’re going to be looking at the new face of the state, which is the prior illegal immigrants that now have a badge and a gun and dominion over you.”

Gheen added that the Obama administration was “supporting the organized and well-funded illegal alien invasion of our homeland” and therefore has “the blood of many thousands of Americans on their hands that have been killed, injured raped and robbed by illegal immigrants,” warning that “center-right, Christian, heterosexual” men were particularly at risk.

Gheen even told Jones, the “InfoWars” host, that the young immigrants were the pawns and child soldiers of U.S. “elites” who want to subjugate patriotic Christians: “They’re willing to literally say and do anything that their new masters call on them to do to protect their position. Once Obama rams these ‘kids’ in, gives them their Obamaphone, enrolls them in Obamacare, puts them in a public school, pays for their housing, pays for their food…these people will do anything that their leaders call on them to do and I do mean anything.”

Alan Keyes wondered if Obama, whom he thinks wants to become America’s “Führer,” was “importing” immigrants “in order to facilitate what I think is an overthrow of our Constitution.”

WorldNetDaily’s resident health “expert” Elizabeth Lee Vliet claimed that the government would use a “flood of illegals” who carry exotic diseases to “overwhelm and collapse the economic and social systems, in order to replace them with a ‘new socialist order’ under federal control.”

8) Obama’s Atheist/Islamic/Canadian/Alien Army

Building off the birther conspiracy theory that Obama is not a U.S.-born citizen and the general right-wing belief that he is not a real American, several conservative activists believe that the president will use foreign forces, outside of just immigrants and health care workers, to oppress Americans.

According to Bill Federer, a Religious Right “historian,” the Arab Spring was designed by nefarious forces who wanted to create a surge in Muslim refugees who would then settle in the U.S. in order to establish Islamic “sleeper cells.” Soon, these sleeper cells would “get a signal to have Ferguson riots in malls across America,” which would give Obama the justification to “restore order” by setting up a “militarized dictatorship.” Obama, Federer warned, could follow in the footsteps of Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong and Pol Pot in killing millions of Christians.

Federer cited a man named Avi Lipkin, who apparently heard from his wife, who heard from an unspecified Arabic-language broadcast, about a plot to bring millions of Muslim refugees into the country in order to bring about Sharia law. Lipkin alleged that Obama was “going to bring in 50 to 100 million Muslims” and settle them in national parks and “lands confiscated by Agenda 21” — a sustainable development initiative that is at the center of its very own right-wing conspiracy theory — ultimately forcing America to “surrender its Christianity” in the face of a new “Muslim majority.” Then, Obama would establish a “dictatorship” … with the help of “the Masons, the Illuminati [and] the Trilateral Commission.”

Lipkin and Federer, however, don’t hold a candle to Jim Garrow, a right-wing activist who believes that Obama tried to kill 300 million Americans with an EMP attack for the sake of enriching George Soros and giving him the chance to live in a luxurious bunker underneath the White House. Garrow also believes that Obama will try to improve his poll numbers by claiming that he is able to communicate with aliens, but if they plummet any further and Americans start to revolt, then Obama will “ask [Canadian Prime Minister Stephen] Harper to send troops into America to help quell the rioting and vice versa.”

Garrow shared his very plausible anti-Obama conspiracy theories with far-right radio hosts including Wiles, Rush and Jones. Garrow told Jones in detail about Obama’s EMP plot, which he said was only stopped as a result of divine intervention, along with the president’s failed plan to detonate a nuclear device near Charleston, South Carolina. Fortunately, the nuke, Garrow said, was detonated safely off the coast by heroic military officials. He cited the deaths of dolphins (who were likely killed by the BP oil spill) as proof.

Jones talked to another “real source” about the need to “brace for a nuclear attack in South Carolina,” who alleged that Charleston was the target because of the presence of U.S. submarines: “This is a false flag operation, a major false flag, that is about to occur because if they take out our naval base in Charleston, they will cripple about one-third of our fleet ballistic missile submarine force.”

“Everything they are doing is like trying to set America up,” Jones replied, wondering if “Obama is like a triple agent of the globalists, we know that, and they are maneuvering America towards a set-up to destroy us and then Homeland Security will then detonate nukes in all of our bases as an inside sneak attack.”

“This ultimately reeks of yet another false flag being orchestrated by the United States government in order to send us into war,” Jones said in another commentary about the matter. “I just wish to God that this wasn’t happening,” he said.

This is the same Alex Jones who launched Jade Helm 15 into the GOP mainstream and led to such a fear that the governor of Texas ordered the National Guard to monitor the U.S. military during the drill.

Of course, when one conspiracy theory fails to materialize, radio hosts like Alex Jones just move on to the next one, and then eventually, Republican politicians just move along with them.

As Rick Santorum found out, among the party’s base — as many of one-third of whom think Obama will invade Texas — at least some people think that it is an established fact that “Obama tried to blow up a nuke in Charleston.”

Jerry Boykin Calls Upon 'God's Army' To Rise Up And Fight The 'Evil' Of Gay Rights

Last week, the Family Research Council's Jerry Boykin spoke at one of the organization's regional "Watchmen on the Wall" events in Springfield, Missouri, where he warned that Christians in America are being persecuted and called upon conservative activists to rise up like "God's army."

"If you're a Bible-believing Christian, if you're a person who has a biblical worldview, if you serve the one and only God, you are going to be persecuted, plain and simple" he said, pointing to Springfield's non-discrimination ordinance which bans discrimination on the basis sexual orientation and gender identity [SOGI].

"This SOGI nonsense is an example of exactly what they're trying to do us," Boykin said. "They're trying to put us in a situation where we're going to lose our businesses, where we're going to be forced to accept what Adolf Hitler forced the church to accept in Germany in 1937."

"We're at war," Boykin said, as he declared that the push for gay rights is "evil" and cannot be compared to the fight for civil rights: "This is not about civil rights, this is about the evil that has come into our society and is trying to destroy our ability and our freedom to be able to worship our god as we choose."

"We're not rising up against evil," he warned. "When we rise up against evil, we've got to rise up like an army. We've got to act like we're in the military because, in fact, we are God's army":

Steve King Joins Long Line Of Conservatives Who Attack Jewish Democrats

Rep. Steve King turned heads over the weekend when he scolded Jewish Democrats for not being sufficiently supportive of Israel. In comments first reported on BuzzFeed, the Iowa congressman said he does not “understand how Jews in America can be Democrats first and Jewish second and support Israel along the line of just following their president.” He later added that “everyone in the discussion knows I’m right.”

King’s suggestion that the vast majority of Jews in America are somehow bad Jews by voting Democratic is a regular talking point among Christian Right speakers.

Here is a look at other right-wing leaders who have denounced American Jews for daring to vote against the GOP:

1) Bachmann: Jews ‘Sold Out Israel’

Before leaving Congress, Michele Bachmann denounced Jewish voters for having supposedly “sold out Israel” by showing support for President Obama.

She told Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council that she found it “shocking” that many Jews “support the political priority and the political ambitions of the president over the best interests of Israel.”

2) Family Research Council Angry With Jewish Money

Like Bachmann, FRC’s Perkins has said that it’s “ironic” that while “the Democratic Party works against the benefit of Israel in many ways,” many Democratic members of Congress are “mostly aligned with a lot of the Jewish lobby” and “enjoy the money coming from the Jewish community.” He also criticized “liberal Jewish folk” for supporting marriage equality, which he alleged will somehow harm Israel.

Jerry Boykin, the group’s executive vice president, criticized American Jews for believing that Adolf Hitler was a leader of Germany’s far-right.

3) American Jews Are Simply ‘Confused’

Like Boykin, Sandy Rios of the American Family Association thinks that American Jews are simply ignorant or “confused.”

“The Jewish vote in this country is so confused,” Rios said in 2012. “So many of the Jews in this country are atheist and their hearts are with this president, at least their political concerns are with this president. They are with him on all the issues, you know abortion, all the things you might list.” She went on to say that while “most of the Jews in this country are far left, unfortunately,” even more dangerous are “Jewish atheists” who “sometimes turn out to be the worst enemies of the country.”

Rios has also claimed that “Jewish leftists in this country are eager to embrace Islam” and warned that “powerful Jewish forces” are out to suppress freedom.

4) ‘Self-Hating Jews’ Run Obama Administration

Conservative legal activist Larry Klayman marked Independence Day last year by blasting the “self-hating” Jews in the Obama administration who “lose no opportunity to distance themselves from their Judeo-Christian heritage in the style of Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky and indeed the evil Fuhrer Adolf Hitler himself, who many historians have concluded had Jewish roots on his father's side of the family.”

“These types of Jews, some of whom are present in the Obama White House to give Obama cover for his anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli acts and practices, are among the greatest enemies of the Jewish people,” he said, claiming that they help those “who are dedicated to [Israel’s] destruction.”

In another column, he went even further in criticizing the supposed “leftist Jewish influence” behind “anti-family institutions like gay marriage” and the “outright criminal behavior of the Obama administration,” writing: “I am more than embarrassed and appalled as a Jew to see my own people at the forefront of a number of scandals now perpetrated by the Muslim-in-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, and his leftist Jewish government comrades and partners in crime. It is time for the great majority of Jews, who are honest law-abiding citizens, to speak up and play a role in helping to put these felonious liberal Jews in a place where the sun don't shine – meaning prison.”

He said that while the Jews who oppose such liberals are the “true Jews” who “police their own house and [do] not allow criminal behavior to go unaddressed, no matter what the source,” those who do not fight Obama are “more akin to ‘Hitler’s Jews.’

5) Tom DeLay’s Message To The Jewish Community

Since leaving the House, Tom DeLay has refashioned himself as a Religious Right crusader, and has a message for the “liberal Jews, Democrat Jews in America”: ditch Obama.

He said that such Jews should “never forget that this president, in everything that he has done, he has tried to undermine Israel” and push Marxism on America.

Growing Number Of Conservatives Seem Utterly Unaware That Obama Is Attacking ISIS

While the U.S.-led coalition to defeat the so-called Islamic State has launched around 5,000 airstrikes against the extremist group, with Central Command posting daily updates on new airstrikes targeting the organization also known as ISIS or ISIL, several Republican politicians appear to believe that the U.S. is not at all engaging in a fight against group.

The same politicians will readily praise the leaders of Egypt and Jordan for launching airstrikes against the terrorist group, while then criticizing President Obama for not following in their footsteps, even though the U.S. is responsible for the vast majority of the airstrikes carried out by the anti-ISIS coalition. Of course, many Republicans and Democrats have expressed legitimate criticisms of the administration’s strategy to defeat ISIS, but some Republicans are acting as if the administration is not at all engaged in fighting the group, whose momentum has been blunted since the airstrikes began.

As Jon Stewart noted, Fox News pundits deny the facts about America’s anti-ISIS airstrikes “even when that fact is spelled out directly next to their face.”

But Fox News commentators aren’t the only one living in this conservative fantasy world.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker continued his habit of simply punting on questions by telling journalists in London recently that he doesn’t have a strategy to fight ISIS, but it is “certainly something I will answer in the United States in the future.” Walker nonetheless criticized the current strategy in an interview with Martha Raddatz, saying that the U.S. needs to show “leadership” and “take the fight to ISIS.” When Raddatz pointed out that the U.S. has launched thousands of anti-ISIS airstrikes, Walker simply replied that “we need to have an aggressive strategy.”

Another potential presidential candidate, former New York Gov. George Pataki, also seems to have blocked out of his mind the fact that the U.S. has been attacking ISIS for months, expressing anger that President Obama supposedly doesn’t realize that “we have got to attack these terrorist groups overseas before they have a chance to attack us again here.”

Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., went one step further, telling a conservative conference that he faces a “conundrum” about supporting the Authorization for the Use of Military Force against ISIS since “we have a commander-in-chief who seems not only not ready, not unwilling, but really working collaboratively with what I would say is the enemy of freedom.”

The congressman worried that Obama would actually use the resolution “to further their cause and what seems to be his cause.”

Perry isn’t the only GOP House member to hold such views.

Rep. Matt Salmon, R-Ariz., suggested in an interview that Obama does not want to “destroy ISIL,” while Texas Republican Rep. Ted Poe alleged that Obama is “more aggressive toward Americans, Republicans, conservatives, Christians” than he is toward ISIS.

Jerry Boykin, the Family Research Council’s executive vice president, alleged that Obama is “very supportive of the Islamic jihadists” and has been “really supportive of what they’re doing.”

Not to be outdone, American Family Radio host Bryan Fischer claimed that Obama is directing the military to deliberately “minimize the number of dead terrorists” who are fighting for ISIS.

Jerry Boykin: Obama 'Cavorting' With The Enemy, 'Supportive Of What They're Doing'

Family Research Council executive vice president Jerry Boykin joined Frank Gaffney on “Secure Freedom Radio” on Friday, where the two agreed that the president has been openly supporting violent jihadists.

Gaffney asked Boykin if he thought President Obama has been “compromising” and “subverting” American intelligence by “hobnobbing with… people who have known associations with an organization called the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Boykin agreed that the president is not only “cavort[ing] with the enemy” but also “saying things that are really supportive of what they’re doing,” thereby helping radical Islamist groups recruit.

“First of all, they are very good at social media, so when they show someone who they know to be one of them cavorting with our president repeatedly, when they see our president saying things that are really supportive of what they’re doing, while denying why they’re doing it or what motivates them, all it does is increases their recruiting,” he said. “It shows their followers that they are on the winning side, that even the U.S. president is supporting them and all that does is it brings more jihadists from across the world into the fight in places like Iran, I mean Iraq, or North Africa, Libya, Egypt and so forth. So when you cavort with the enemy, there is a price to be paid, and I think America’s in the middle of that right now.”

Rick Santorum, Bobby Jindal Join Israel Trip With Hate Group That Wants To Convert Jews

After dozens of members of the Republican National Committee went on a trip to Israel sponsored by a notorious hate group that has repeatedly claimed that that Jewish Americans have no First Amendment rights and argued that Jewish immigrants should be forced to convert to Christianity, Rick Santorum and Bobby Jindal are now taking part in a visit to Israel organized by an organization with similar views.

The Family Research Council announced in an email to members today it is organizing an Israel tour with Santorum and Jindal, two likely Republican presidential candidates, along with End Times author Joel Rosenberg.

Jindal and Santorum’s decision to travel to Israel with FRC may raise eyebrows, given the group’s history of making dismissive comments about American Jews and expressing hope that Jews in Israel will convert to Christianity, a central theme of certain End Times narratives.

FRC Executive Vice President Jerry Boykin said last year that Jews who convert to Christianity are “fulfilled Jews,” claiming that missionary efforts should focus on Israeli Jews, who can learn from their Arab Christian neighbors:

Boykin has rebuked anyone who dares criticize his attempts to convert Jews to Christianity:

Boykin also slammed Jewish Americans for largely backing Democrats, claiming that they don’t realize that Adolf Hitler was actually a leftist: “If you look at Hitler, one of the most disgusting things I hear is for people to call Hitler the extreme Right. The absolute opposite was true. It was the National Socialist Party. He was an extraordinarily off the scale leftist. But many Jews in America, for example, can't identify with the Republican Party because they're called the party of the Right, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.”

Like Boykin, FRC President Tony Perkins, for his part, once attacked the “Jewish lobby” for its ties to Democratic elected officials, lamenting that Democrats “enjoy the money coming from the Jewish community.”

The FRC is also well-known for its extreme anti-gay views. For example, Perkins believes that gay rights supporters are planning a holocaust of Christians and are quite literally pawns of the DevilAs we’ve previously reported, Perkins has “defended Uganda’s ‘kill the gays’ bill and connected homosexuality to a whole host of evils, including death, sexual assaultdepressionsuicide, government population control, and child abuse. He has even compared homosexuality to shootings, kidnappings and alcoholism.”

Such remarks aren’t that surprising, as the FRC is unabashed in its support for the criminalization of homosexuality and once had a spokesman say he wanted to “export” gay people from the U.S. since “we believe that homosexuality is destructive to society.”

Richard Land: Obama Pushing America Into Civil War

On Tuesday’s edition of “Washington Watch,” Religious Right leader Richard Land suggested that President Obama is pushing America into a Civil War.

Land, the former head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s policy arm, said Obama is “increasingly reminding me of James Buchanan” who “was just sort of responsible for fiddling in the White House while secessionism gathered steam and gathered force and the southern states went about their process of fomenting revolt and secession.”

“You know, the inaction and the willful disbelief and the inertia of Buchanan were major contributors to the national conflagration that almost rent us asunder as a nation in the Civil War,” Land continued. “And I have to ask myself, is history repeating itself? I hope not.”

Later in the program, Jerry Boykin of the Family Research Council said that it is an incontrovertible fact that Obama supports violent extremists who claim to represent Islam.

Boykin, a bizarre conspiracy theorist who opposes religious freedom for Muslim-Americans, told Land that there is “no question” that the president “has been very sympathetic to Islam.”

“His pattern has been one of being very supportive of the Islamic jihadists because he has been unwilling to identify what motivates them,” Boykin said.

'Like A Tank In Tiananmen Square': Another Trailer For Janet Porter's Anti-Gay Documentary

Radical Religious Right activist Janet Porter has released yet another trailer for her upcoming documentary "Light Wins: How To Overcome The Criminalization Of Christianity," which features a who's who of anti-gay activists as well as several Republican members of Congress and presidential hopefuls Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee.

"Like a tank in Tiananmen Square," Porter says, as she walks down the middle of a dark street as a pair of headlights bear down upon her, "the homosexual agenda has been running over people since Anita Bryant's courageous stand in the 1970s."

After that, it is nothing but 10 minutes of anti-gay activists calling upon Christians to rise up and fight back against the "homosexual agenda."

Among the participants we immediately recognized in this new clip are Huckabee, David Barton, Gary Glenn, Steven Hotze, Robert Knight, Judith Reisman, Stacy Swimp, Greg Quinlan, Rep. Louie Gohmert, Brian Camenker, James Dobson, Bill Donohue, Scott Lively, Frank Pavone, Dutch Sheets, Phyllis Schlafly, Rick Scarborough, Gary Bauer, Mark Crutcher, Jerry Boykin, and Harry Jackson.

At one point, Gohmert declares that it is the duty of Christians to "love people who engage in homosexualty" because "we all have family members that we think are making major mistakes with their lives, but you can still love them."

Later, Pastor Steve Witt declares that just as God would have saved Sodom and Gomorrah if only 10 righteous people could be found, so too can most American cities be spared, but only if thousands of people will take a stand against homosexuality.

At the end of this new clip, Porter is shown in an empty football stadium, warning that "the battle for our freedom is being fought while most Christians are on the sidelines. We need to get out of the stands and into the game because the Super Bowl for our country is being fought and our team is not even on the field."

Paranoia-Rama: Satan's 'Homosexual Agenda,' Obama’s Deadly Secrets And Sarah Palin 'Exposes' Fox News

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

According to the right-wing media, Sharia law is gaining a foothold in Michigan, President Obama is blocking the sale of miracle drugs and Satan is commanding the gay rights movement. But Sarah Palin has uncovered the most menacing threat to America of them all: criticism of Sarah Palin.

5) ‘Obama’s Deadly FDA Secret Could Kill You’

Emulating Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich, Fox News contributor and RedState founder Erick Erickson sells out his RedState.com email list to questionable sponsors who prey on the conspiracy-minded and science-averse.

According to Media Matters, one email to Erickson’s list claimed that the federal government is suppressing a miracle cancer cure that healed Ronald Reagan. Another warned that President Obama and the FDA could kill “over 45 million Americans…including you” because they are refusing to release a “secret” cure to cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer’s.

But 45 million deaths is low compared to the potential toll of another “Obama scandal” that a RedState sponsored email warned could “wipe out 281 million Americans.”

4) Fox News Helping … Hillary?

At least according to Sarah Palin. Upset that Fox News host Bill O’Reilly mocked the prospect of Palin and fellow reality television star Donald Trump running for president as a “reality show,” Palin charged that O’Reilly is trying to undermine the conservative movement just as it prepares to take on Hillary Clinton.

Palin fumed that “quasi-right” media outlets like Fox News should wake up to the fact that “this is a war” against Clinton and should help the GOP unify and “surface the competitor who can take on Hillary or whomever it may be and win for this country.”

Palin made the rambling, self-pitying remarks , of course, on Fox News.

3) Sharia Law In Michigan

The preposterous right-wing conspiracy theory that the city of Dearborn, Michigan, is controlled by Sharia law has long been completely discredited, but that of course hasn’t stopped the Family Research Council’sTony Perkins and Jerry Boykin from promoting it.

Perkins recently spoke with Frank Gaffney, a fellow anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist, about the supposed rise of Sharia law in the U.S., and unsurprisingly, Gaffney joined in on the frenzy and referred to the city as “Dearbornistan.” He said the “Muslim-only” city of Dearborn has become a “ghetto” that is “too dangerous” to enter.

This might be news to the city’s residents, including one Army veteran who was able to find no shortage of stores selling haram goods like ham and liquor, along with a gentleman’s club, despite the claims of right-wing activists that the city is now imposing Sharia law.

2) Marriage Equality Turns Kids Into Government Property

A group of Catholic and Protestant leaders signed a statement this week warning that the legalization of same-sex marriage will lead “to the coercion and persecution of those who refuse to acknowledge the state’s redefinition of marriage, which is beyond the state’s competence.”

Signatories, including National Organization for Marriage founder Maggie Gallagher and prominent Proposition 8 supporter Rick Warren, warned that marriage equality for same-sex couples represents an even “graver threat” to society than divorce “because what is now given the name of marriage in law is a parody of marriage.”

By legalizing same-sex marriage, the statement reads, “a kind of alchemy is performed, not merely on the institution, but on human nature itself,” since same-sex marriage apparently “disregards the created order, threatens the common good and distorts the Gospel.” The statement even claims that marriage equality will turn children “in important legal respects, the property of the state.”

1) Gay Demonic Energy

American Family Radio host Bryan Fischer thinks that Satan makes people gay, so of course Fischer believes that Satan is also in command of the gay rights movement.

“I don’t think you will ever find a more directly demonic energy than when you deal with the homosexual agenda,” Fischer said this week. “They’re vicious. They are mean. You literally are staring into virtually the unvarnished energy of Satan himself when you come up against the forces that are pushing the homosexual agenda forward.”

Upset with the coverage of his comments, Fischer said that he feels bad for gay people, since they are “captives, prisoners of war” of Satan.

Jerry Boykin: Police Can't Go Into Dearborn, Michigan, Because Of Muslim Population

Jerry Boykin, a former Army general who prior to serving as the Family Research Council’s executive vice president was reprimanded by President Bush for making anti-Muslim statements, appeared on “Washington Watch” yesterday to discuss the Charlie Hebdo attack.

After host Tony Perkins warned that Muslim-Americans are “not assimilating into the broader American culture” and instead seek to establish “closed communities” in states like Minnesota and Michigan, Boykin insisted that it has gotten so bad that the police now refuse to go into Dearborn, Michigan, except for in cases of emergency.

“Talk to the police in Dearborn, talk to the police in Detroit, and ask them how often they go into Dearborn and the reality is it’s more on an emergency basis than it is for any kind of routine police activities there,” Boykin said. “We have the same problem here, by not assimilating these people, we are creating the same kind of situation that France and Britain and much of Europe has.”

Dearborn has been the focus of many right-wing conspiracy theories which typically center around the myth that the city is ruled according to Sharia law. Boykin once said that Dearborn could be easily confused with Damascus.

Dearborn, of course, is not under Sharia law, as the city’s mayor politely explained to Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle when she made that claim in 2010.

Boykin has previously called on the government to ban mosques and strip Muslim-Americans of their First Amendment rights. At the same time, he works closely with groups seeking to introduce biblical law.

Boykin: 'Defeat Islam' By Telling Muslims They're Sinning

Last week, the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios interviewed Family Research Council vice president Jerry Boykin and self-proclaimed ex-terrorist Kamal Saleem about their new novel, “The Coalition.”

Boykin — who as a high-ranking Pentagon official was rebuked by President George W. Bush for giving speeches framing anti-terrorism efforts as a holy war between Christianity and Islam — told Rios that American Christians are God’s “warriors” in an effort to “defeat Islam” by “bringing the light of the Gospel to the Islamic world.”

He said that Christians have to tell Muslims that they are “sinning” just as one would tell a son living with his girlfriend that he is not “okay with God”:

“We have to stand against evil. It’s like when your neighbor is sinning and do you love him, do you love him enough to tell him he’s sinning? Do you love him enough, one of your children, to tell them that what they’re doing is wrong, living with his girlfriend is a sin? Do you love him that much or are you going to take the easy way out and not tell him and let him go on thinking that he’s okay with God because he really loves this girl he’s living with?”

“We’ve got to love the Muslims enough to stand up against the evil that we see them perpetrating in the name of Allah, but at the same time we’ve got to offer them the Gospel of Jesus Christ in one way or another,” he added.

Boykin: 'Thank God For ISIS' For Turning Attention To Obama's 'Destruction Of Our Military'

Speaking on a panel about “Obama’s assault on the military” at David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend last month, Family Research Council executive vice president Jerry Boykin lamented that “people are not paying enough attention” to “the destruction of our military” under President Obama, adding, “thank God for ISIS” for bringing attention to it.

“I’m concerned about the fact the fact that our military will not be capable of meeting the threats of the future and America is not focused on it,” he said,“and thank God for ISIS, because if it wasn’t for ISIS, there would have been no focus, no attention.”

He went on to deride the decision to send U.S. troops to help build Ebola treatment centers in West Africa, saying, “I don’t know what glue our president has been sniffing, but if you really want to protect America, close that southern border and stop the terrorists from coming across.”

Later in the discussion, Boykin said that the “anti-Semitic” Obama is blinded to the fact that “we are going to be in the Middle East forever.”

“The idea that this president has not been anti-Semitic is absolute nonsense,” he said, lamenting that “when I discuss this with my Jewish friends, they act like I’m an idiot.”

Boykin: 'Torture Is What We've Done By Having The IRS Go After Conservative Groups'

The Family Research Council's Jerry Boykin and phony former terrorist Kamal Saleem were interviewed on Glenn Beck's television program last night by fill-in host Stu Burguiere about the new novel they wrote together entitled "The Coalition."

During the course of the interview, the topic of the recently released report documenting the CIA's use of torture came up and all three men dismissed the findings entirely, with Burguiere mocking the notion that sleep deprivation or forced nudity could be considered torture, while Saleem laughably asserted that he had been trained as a terrorist from the age of seven on how to decapitate people, so the techniques employed by the CIA were modest in comparison.

Not to be outdone, Boykin declared that "this report came from a bunch of sanctimonious hypocrites" and said that the real "torture" was the supposed persecution by the IRS of conservative groups.

"I'll tell you what's torture," Boykin said, "torture is what we've done to the veterans at the VA hospitals. Torture is what we've done by having the IRS go after conservative groups":

Right Wing Round-Up - 11/21/14

Jerry Boykin: 'Persian' Valerie Jarrett Convincing Obama To Let Iran Have A Nuclear Weapon

Family Research Council vice president Jerry Boykin told the Center for Security Policy’s Frank Gaffney in an interview last week that he believes President Obama is going to cut a deal with Iran allowing the country to have a nuclear weapon on the advice of his adviser Valerie Jarrett because she “is Persian, she’s an Iranian.”

“I think the administration has essentially, and probably because of the advice of Valerie Jarrett — who is Persian, she’s an Iranian — I think that because of her influence that the president has made some very bad decisions with regards for support for the Iranian nuclear program,” he said.

Jarrett was born in Iran to American parents — her father ran a hospital there — and left when she was five years old.

Boykin and Gaffney also discussed the alleged “penetration” of the U.S. government by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Gaffney, who helped start the right-wing smear campaign against Hillary Clinton aide Human Abedin, asked Boykin, “What is the state of the penetration of our government, not just by the Huma Abedins and the Hesham Islams of the world, but more broadly as evidence of the civilization jihad that’s being waged against us by the Muslim Brotherhood especially?”

Boykin responded by asserting that after 9/11, counterterrorism authorities hired a large number of Arabic translators, “a large percentage” of whom “actually wound up working for the other side.”

He went on to lament what he called “the total infiltration of the intelligence community” by people he believes to be Al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood agents, including the counterterrorism chief responsible for many of the targeted killings of Al Qaeda officials, reportedly a Muslim convert. He also repeated the “strong rumors” that CIA director John Brennan has converted to Islam.

“What we do know is that there are penetrations at every level of our government, to include homeland security, to include the military, to include the intelligence community, to include the Congress,” he said. “There are penetrations by nefarious elements, by people that are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, by people who are associated with Al Qaeda. And by the way, Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda are really all the same thing.”

“And the Islamic State and Boko Haram and the rest of them,” Gaffney added. “And the Iranians, too, with their differences on different points of theology, are very much part of this Sharia enterprise and the global jihad to impose it.”

Right Wing Bonus Tracks - 11/13/14

  • Jerry Boykin calls upon military leaders to inform President Obama that "I can no longer support your ill-advised and reckless policies that I regard as threats to national security and the welfare of our men and women in uniform" and resign in protest.
  • Focus on the Family's Glenn Stanton has a new book out entitled "Loving My (LGBT) Neighbor."
  • Tim Brown says that "the reason people can’t take bisexuality seriously is because it is a mental illness that needs to be corrected via repentance, not coddled like a three-year-old. The same thing applies with homosexuals. They are not taken as a legitimate lifestyle choice by the world’s population because it is unnatural."
  • Peter LaBarbera believes that "the government should be taking steps to discourage men and boys from practicing homosexual behavior."
  • Finally, Glenn Beck will be releasing his first feature film next year and it is about a warrior Santa Clause tasked with protecting Jesus Christ. We really are at a loss for words:

Jerry Boykin, the retired Army general who now serves as a top official at the Family Research Council, joined FRC President Tony Perkins on his “Washington Watch” radio program last night to discuss a letter that he and other retired officers have sent to Congress urging them to reject the nuclear deal with Iran. Boykin, of course, could not help discussing the issue in apocalyptic terms, telling Perkins that current military leaders are going along with the deal in order to save their jobs even though it will lead to the “destruction of this nation.” “Is... Glenn Beck interviewed the Family Research Council's Jerry Boykin on his television program last night and both men agreed that God has "laid down a red line" for America and that we must now "choose life or death." Citing the nuclear deal with Iran, ISIS persecution of Christians in the Middle East, and the Planned Parenthood videos, Beck said that he has "a bad feeling that this is kind of a last call with God" before the complete destruction of this nation. It seems that radical right-wing conspiracy theorists have the ear of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who recently ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor a U.S. military exercise called Jade Helm 15. According to many of these far-right activists, Jade Helm 15 is part of a secret effort to take over conservative states like Texas, impose martial law, confiscate people’s firearms, round up “patriotic men,” force people into cattle cars and lock them up in Wal-Marts that have been converted into FEMA camps.
