When Janet Porter returned to her native Ohio to push her extreme Heartbeat Bill, which would effectively ban abortion in the vast majority of cases, she couldn’t muster the support of her former employer, the Ohio Right to Life Society. Porter, who leads Faith 2 Action, helped launch a group called Ohio ProLife Action that is dedicated to passing the radical legislation, which already passed in the State House and will soon have a hearing in the State Senate. While the fate of the Heartbeat Bill is still up in the air, it has already created huge divides among anti-choice activists in... MORE >

Janet Porter takes to the skies in her latest stunt to get her "Heartbeat Bill" passed in Ohio. Peter LaBarbera says Barney Frank's retirement is "a great thing for America." The Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition will not be endorsing any Republican candidate ahead of the Iowa caucuses. Day Gardner sides with Herman Cain against the "money hungry women vying for 15 minutes of fame and fortune." Finally, Bryan Fischer says people hate Tim Tebow only because they really hate Jesus, and that is because this world is in the grip of the Evil... MORE >

According to The Greely Gazette, when local pastor Paul Blair spoke out in opposition to an Oklahoma City proposal to add sexual orientation to the city’s anti-discrimination policy, he and his church received death and bomb threats. But Blair refuses to be intimidated by such threats and has decided, instead, to take a stand by running for state office:
Paul Blair, Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma told the council that the law was unnecessary and would create an unfair burden on employers and could allow men to use women’s restrooms and locker... MORE >

Last week we reported that Janet Porter said she had the votes in the Ohio State Senate to pass her extreme anti-choice Heartbeat bill, which already passed in the House, and today the Senate President said he will send Porter’s legislation to Senate’s Health, Human Services and Aging Committee. Porter, who heads Faith 2 Action, helped spearhead a new group called Ohio ProLife Action to advocate for the bill after the Ohio Right to Life Society refused to support the clearly unconstitutional measure. Governor John Kasich, an anti-choice Republican, has yet to announce his view on... MORE >

Janet Porter has announced that she has the votes in the Ohio State Senate to pass her extreme ‘Heartbeat bill,’ which already passed the House, but just needs the leadership to put the bill to a vote. In a message over the weekend to Valley Harvest Church, Porter said, “the votes are there, we have been lobbying five months in the Senate and we’ve counted them, the votes are there to pass it.” She urged the congregants to partake in “one last push” to encourage the Senate to put the bill up to a vote.
Porter’s prized legislation would “... MORE >

A looming ethics scandal for SC Gov. Nikki Haley? It looks like some of the staff that quit the Gingrich campaign earlier this year have come crawling back. Herman Cain needs Secret Service protection ... to protect him from journalists? The Anti-Defamation League is calling upon Tennessee State Representative Rick Womick to repudiate his anti-Muslim comments. That is probably not going to happen. Finally, Janet Porter says that 200 million year old fossils look just like animals today, so evolution can't be true and that "there’s much... MORE >

After Rick Perry jumped into the presidential race, the Texas governor quickly took the lead among Republican voters nationwide and in surveys in critical states like Iowa and South Carolina. Analysts reasonably predicted that the nomination would come down to a choice between Perry and Mitt Romney as other candidates like Michele Bachmann fizzled and Tim Pawlenty dropped out. Perry, who announced his candidacy following his The Response prayer rally, courted and won plaudits from Religious Right luminaries including James Dobson, Tony Perkins, Richard Land, David Barton, Don Wildmon, David...
