On his "Pray In Jesus Name" program yesterday, Gordon Klingenschmitt discussed a lawsuit filed against Hobby Lobby by a transgender female employee who claims that she was denied access to the women's restroom facilities. Klingenschmitt, of course, was not at all sympathetic, citing Deuteronomy 23 to argue that since transgender people are not allowed in church, they should not be allowed to use gender-appropriate bathrooms. "The Scriptures say in Deuteronomy 23," Klingenschmitt said, "that he that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall... MORE >

Gordon Klingenschmitt, who is the GOP nominee for a state legislative seat in Colorado, is obviously not pleased with the Colorado county clerks who have started issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. On his “Pray In Jesus Name” program yesterday, Klingenschmitt reminded the clerks that “homosexuality is not only an abomination, not only worthy of death,” but comes with a “penalty” that amounts to “spiritual death.” “They say, ‘Oh, it’s all about love.’ No, it’s about lust, it’s about selfishness,... Today's installment of Gordon Klingenschmitt's "Pray In Jesus Name" program featured an interview with none other than "Coach" Dave Daubenmire in which the two men agreed that what America needs today is the establishment of a "manly Christianity" that will raise up warriors for God. Fuming that Christian men "have refused to stand up and engage in the cultural battle" and instead hired Republican "mercenaries to fight the fight that I believe God mandated the church to fight," Daubenmire declared that America desperately needs "a... Klingenschmitt: Atheists Should Undergo An Exorcism To Rid Them Of The Devil So They'll Feel Comfortable In Church

Back in 2012, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against a Wisconsin school district that had been holding its graduation ceremonies in a local church, declaring that doing so "conveys an impermissible message of endorsement." The school district appealed the decision to the Supreme Court which, last month, declined to hear the case. Gordon Klingenschmitt, who is currently the Republican candidate for a state house seat in Colorado, weighed in on the Supreme Court's refusal to hear this case on his "Pray In Jesus Name" program where he offered a novel solution:... Klingenschmitt Promotes Debunked Claim To Warn That 'Disarming Veterans Is A Form Of National Suicide'

Last year, a conservative blogger riled-up a bunch of folks on the Right by claiming that the Department of Veterans Affairs was unilaterally declaring some veterans to be mentally incompetent and thereby prohibiting them from buying or possessing guns. The claim was so baseless that none other than Twitchy quickly debunked it but, amazingly, well over a year later, Gordon Klingenschmitt reported the original story as entirely true on his "Pray In Jesus Name" program this week, declaring that efforts to disarm veterans amounts to "national suicide." "What is the... MORE >

Gordon Klingenschmitt, the anti-gay exorcist and preacher who is the Republican nominee for a seat in Colorado’s state legislature, released a book before the 2012 election called “The Demons of Barack H. Obama.” In the book, Klingenschmitt cites fifty events compiled by right-wing pseudo-historian David Barton which apparently reveal President Obama’s demonic spirits. (Ironically, the “demonic spirits of historical revisionism” are among his many demons.) According to Klingenschmitt, Obama is ruled by the “demonic sprits” of “death,... MORE >

On today's "Pray In Jesus Name" program, Gordon Klingenschmitt, who happens to be a current Republican candidate for office in Colorado, reacted to the recent decision from the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals striking down Utah's ban on gay marriage by declaring that regardless of what the courts on earth rule, Jesus will eventually rule against gay marriage and toss all gays into Hell. Saying that while the newspapers today are filled with headlines about the spread of gay marriage, eventually gay people will be called before the Great White Throne of Judgment where Jesus... MORE >

The chairman of the Colorado Republican Party wants to make it clear that "Gordon [Klingenschmitt] does not speak on behalf of the Republican Party. To suggest otherwise is inaccurate and dishonest." Matt Barber defends Uganda's right to pass draconian anti-gay laws and attacks Vice President Joe Biden for daring to criticize them. The RNC has launched GOPFaith.com in an effort to woo evangelicals ahead of the election. What is happening to this country when Republican officials can't even joke about the killing a possible presidential candidate... MORE >
