Klingenschmitt: Disney Is 'Being Influenced By Demonic Spirits Who Want To Recruit Your Children Into Sin'

"Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt has added his voice to the chorus of outrage over the inclusion of a same-sex couple in an episode of the Disney Channel's "Good Luck Charlie," calling for a boycott of the Disney Corporation because it has fallen under the influence of demonic spirits who want to recruit kids into homosexuality:

If you are a Christian or a moral-minded parent who wants to teach your children that homosexuality is aberrant and wrong behavior, for example, you don't want to model sinful behavior as normative to your kids, your morality and faith, you child's innocence are now being undermined by the Disney Corporation.

And that's why we are inviting you to participate in boycott of the Disney Channel ... Send a message to the Disney Channel: stop recruiting our children into an aberrant lifestyle!

...

Don't you want to have that blessing for your children, that their conscience will not be assaulted, their innocence will not be violated by the corporations who want to push a gay agenda upon your family? ... I believe these tempters now at the Disney Corporation are being influenced by demonic spirits who want to recruit your children into sin ... God bless the children, not just the ones who are actors in this show whose innocence is being violated, but also your children at home who may be having access to this kind of programming.

Gay Soldiers Undermine The Military Because They Have To Take Breaks In The Middle Of Combat To Change Their Diapers

On today's "Pray In Jesus Name" program, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt read from a press release sent out by retired military chaplains who are outraged by the acceptance of homosexuality within the military:

Before civilizations crumble, the last thing to hit the fan is government-sponsored, government-forced, homosexuality, sodomy, and pedophilia. Homosexuality is a psychiatric disorder and probably the worst sin described in the Holy Bible due to the permanent damage caused to what was or is or might have been a temple of the Spirit. The consequences are said to be nothing short of eternal damnation, by choice. It's a shame that the US military, historically known to be a beacon of morality and religious tolerance and freedom, while the civilian sector has engaged in immorality, is now having its nose shoved in the dirt of filth to make the Sinners-in-Chief in the highest echelons of politics--the perverts, the pedophiles, and the psychiatrically ill--feel better about themselves.

While Klingenschmitt did not read that part of the insane rant on air, he did approvingly read a quote from Chaplain John R. Kauffman who mirrored the insane ravings of Patrick Wooden when he asserted that "homosexuality is a combat divider" because it results in gay soldiers "taking breaks on the combat field to change diapers all because their treacherous sin causes them to lose control of their bowels."

"Forgive me for the graphic image there," Klingenschmitt said after reading this passage, "but there are physical and biological consequences of that kind of conduct and he's just pointing that out":

Klingenschmitt: 'I'm Running To Oppose A Theocracy'

Just last week on his "Pray In Jesus Name" program, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt declared that people who are not going to Heaven should not be entitled to receive equal protection and treatment from the government.  This was especially alarming considering that Klingenschmitt is currently running for office in Colorado, seeking to become a member of the state legislature.

So we were a little confused when we came across a video that Klingenschmitt recently posted on his campaign website announcing that the reason he is running for office is "to oppose a theocracy" that the Democrats are supposedly trying to implement in the state.

Complaining that the state's civil unions bill does not have a religious exemption, Klingenschmitt asked voters to "send at least one person to the state legislature who is an ordained minister," vowing that he would defend the religious liberties of Christians from the Democrats' attempt to impose a theocracy upon them.

"I'm running to oppose a theocracy," Klingenschmitt said. "The Democrats are the ones pushing a theocracy on us":

Paranoia-Rama: Satan's Grammys, Obama's Internment Camps, & Lego's Anti-Business Brainwashing

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

Children are our future, and our friends at Fox News warn us that “The Lego Movie” is trying to brainwash them into becoming mini-Marxists.

Maybe these communist kids will then take part in President Obama’s plan, revealed to us by Glenn Beck, to round up his enemies and force them into internment camps? We’re not saying for sure, just asking the question!

5. Legos Out To Destroy Capitalism

Fox Business Network is worried that “The Lego Movie,” “The Muppets” and “RoboCop” are attempting to “indoctrinate kids” with “anti-capitalist messages” … just like “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

Host Monica Crowley even cheered on It’s a Wonderful Life villain Mr. Potter, which makes this Jimmy Kimmel sketch seem all too real.

4. 'Al Franken Wants To Require Pedophilia In All Public Schools'

In an absurd — even for him — email to members of his Pray In Jesus Name Project, right-wing activist Gordon Klingenschmitt insists that Sen. Al Franken’s Student Non-Discrimination Act will “require pedophilia in all public schools” and “require pro-gay child recruiting.”

But don’t worry, Klingenschmitt says he can stop Franken’s “‘No Child Left Unmolested’ amendment” through faxes (and your financial contribution): “Do you want Al Franken legislating pedophiles to recruit your kids? Let's petition all 535 Congressmen and Senators to STOP Franken's child-abuse.”

3. Satan’s Grammys

Leave it to Religious Right radio host Kevin Swanson to explain how the 2014 Grammy Awards transformed into a “satanic pagan orgy” that celebrated “fornication, twerking, stripping and satanic rituals.”

Of course, Swanson explains, the music industry’s “demonic approach to things” really traces back to The Beatles.

2. Antichrist 2016

Far-right pundits are still debating whether President Obama is the Antichrist or merely setting the stage for the Antichrist, but at least one Republican congressional candidate believes he has identified the Antichrist’s identity: Hillary Clinton.

Ryan Zinke, a Montana GOP state senator who is running for an open U.S. House seat, called Clinton the Antichrist during a campaign speech, which ended with him “handing out 50-calibre bullets to each of the four men who sponsored the event before a crowd of about 30 people.”

The Republican politician later backtracked when his remarks generated national headlines, saying that he was only joking and that he regretted that his comments were “a little bit harsh.”

1. Internment Camps A-Coming

Glenn Beck floated the FEMA camps conspiracy theory in 2009 before he eventually renounced it, but that doesn’t mean he stopped thinking that President Obama or his allies are planning to establish internment camps as part of a burgeoning police state.

Just this week, Beck suggested that the government may begin to round up Obamacare critics, abortion rights opponents and climate change deniers. He even unveiled a new claim about how the Obama administration may cause another war against Israel in order to force Jewish Americans and supporters of Israel into camps.

Klingenschmitt: People Not Going To Heaven Do Not Deserve Equal Treatment By The Government

"Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt dedicated a segment on today's "Pray In Jesus Name" program to decrying the Employment Non-Discrimination Act as nothing more than a "bathroom bill" that would allow men to use the women's restrooms and "violate your wives' and daughters' privacy in every public restaurant in America."

We have heard that sort of line from Klingenschmitt and his ilk before, but it is the justification behind this position that is really most remarkable. In defense of this position, Klingenschmitt cited a passage from 1 Corinthians 6 that declares that "neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God" to proclaim that, since gay people will not go to Heaven, they should not be entitled to any sort of governmental benefits here on earth.

"If they're not going to get eternal benefits in Heaven," Klingenschmitt asked, "why should we give them government rewards here on this earth? I don't think we should":

In essence, Klingenschmitt has declared that every person who will not be going to Heaven according to the beliefs espoused by his particular Christian faith ought to be denied "rewards" by the United States government, which apparently includes equal and fair treatment under the law.

Klingenschmitt: 'Al Franken Wants To Require Pedophilia In All Public Schools'

Anti-gay activist and self-proclaimed exorcist Gordon Klingenschmitt, who last week endorsed Russia’s “homosexual propaganda” law, sent out an email to members of his Pray In Jesus Name Project today with yet another insane screed attacking the Student Non-Discrimination Act.

After falsely claiming that Russia is merely “banning pedophilia,” Klingenschmitt said the anti-bullying student Non-Discrimination Act, sponsored by Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), should be called the “‘No Child Left Unmolested’ amendment.” He charged that the bill is “child abuse” because it is “legislating pedophiles to recruit your kids.”

“Al Franken (D-MN) wants to require pedophilia in all public schools, in the form of mandatory pro-gay lectures to all public school children,” Klingenschmitt writes. “Russia bans child-recruiting, but Al Franken wants to require pro-gay child recruiting.”

Stop Sen. Al Franken from homosexualizing public school classrooms. Stop federal curricula to kids. Please select, sign, and WE WILL FAX your petition to all 535 members of Congress (saving you time!) to filibuster Franken's "No Child Left Unmolested" amendment to Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Free option here.

Russia never banned gays, just child-recruiting by pedophiles

Contrary to nearly all reports by the American lame-stream media, which falsely claim Russia has strict laws banning homosexuality, the opposite is true.

Russia has never passed a law banning homosexuality.

Russia did, however, pass a law by a 436 to 0 vote forbidding adults from recruiting children into sexual deviancy. Wouldn't you vote for that?

In America we call that banning pedophilia. But Senator Al Franken (D-MN) wants to require pedophilia in all public schools, in the form of mandatory pro-gay lectures to all public school children.

Russia bans child-recruiting, but Al Franken wants to require pro-gay child recruiting.

Do you want Al Franken legislating pedophiles to recruit your kids? Let's petition all 535 Congressmen and Senators to STOP Franken's child-abuse.

Right Wing Leftovers - 1/31/14

  • When he spoke at a March for Life rally in South Carolina recently, David Barton was apparently honored by the state Senate.
  • Speaking of South Carolina, we are not at all surprised to learn that Lee Bright has picked up an endorsement from Rep. Steve Stockman.
  • Gordon Klingenschmitt says that "conservative chaplains are going underground" because they are worried about being persecuted by the military.
  • Apparently the Bible is predicting that both the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks are going to win the Super Bowl.
  • Speaking of football, "Coach" Dave Daubenmire is not happy with all the people who are sissifying his beloved sport.
  • Finally, Bryan Fischer says that Dinesh D'Souza is being persecuted because he is a Christian, just like Jesus, Peter, and Paul.

Klingenschmitt: 'It Should Be Illegal To Recruit Minors Into Homosexual Sin'

We can now add "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt to the ever-growing list of anti-gay Religious Right activists defending Russia's anti-gay law, declaring on his "Pray In Jesus Name" show today that "it should be illegal to recruit minors into homosexual sin."

In defending Russia's law, Klingenschmitt explained that recruiting children into homosexuality is "totally illegal in the economy and law of God" and, citing Luke 17, declared that "if you're recruiting children into sin, Jesus says you should have the death penalty."

"It's always going to be against God's law," he said, "not only to be gay but especially to recruit children and cause them to stumble":

Paranoia-Rama: Obama's 'Brown Shirts,' Homophobia In Russia & The Threat Of Demon Pot

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

Old conspiracy theories about gays and lesbians preying on children and President Obama confiscating guns and targeting white people live on in right-wing circles. The same goes with fears about marijuana, as exorcist/GOP politician Gordon Klingenschmitt has his own feelings about “Reefer Madness.”

5. ‘The Brown Shirts Are Next’

Latching onto the right-wing conspiracy that President Obama is using health care reform to create his own army modeled after Adolf Hitler’s Brown Shirts, South Carolina US Senate candidate Lee Bright alleged that Obama is turning the IRS into a paramilitary force to implement Obamacare.

The Republican state senator seems to be unaware that the IRS practices of training certain agents in law enforcement operations didn’t start under Obama but in the 1920s. File this under Obama Derangement Syndrome.

4. Obamacare Is Coming For Your Guns

In a totally not-crazy email entitled “All Hell is Breaking Loose!,” Gun Owners of America warned members that “Obama’s war on individual privacy” is lurching into doctors’ offices through Obamacare.

“[T]he ObamaCare program sets the stage for compiling a national health database which could be trolled by the FBI and could strip tens of millions of Americans of their Second Amendment rights,” the message reads, adding that an extension of emergency unemployment insurance should be tied to the gun lobby’s agenda: “Contact your Senators. Ask them to continue objecting to any Unanimous Consent request which would allow Obama's unemployment bill (S. 1845) to be passed, unless Senators are granted the right to vote on the anti-gun ObamaCare mandate.”

As we have noted earlier, the Affordable Care Act has a provision barring the creation of a possible gun owner database and prohibiting discrimination against gun owners, and the president’s executive actions similarly do not compel doctors to ask about gun ownership.

The gun lobby is now all but admitting that it uses conspiracy theories to encourage “fear buying” during election season.

3. ‘Disgusting Racist’ Obama ‘Despises’ White People

Former congressman Allen West is furious that the Obama administration is cautioning schools against using a “zero tolerance” disciplinary policy, a failing program that contributes to the school-to-prison pipeline. But according to West, this is all part of the Obama administration’s supposed “insanity” and anti-white racism.

“This is my clear and succinct message to white Americans. How long will it be before ‘you people’ realize you have elevated someone to the office of president who abjectly despises you — not to mention his henchman Holder,” West writes. “Combined they are the most vile and disgusting racists — not you.”

2. Anti-Gay Rhetoric Sweeps Russian Media

As the Religious Right’s love affair with Russia continues, it is no surprise to see Russian media using similar anti-gay rhetoric as US-based activists. The BBC reports today that Russia’s new laws targeting the gay community has “led to an upsurge in homophobia,” much of it encouraged by the pro-government media.

“Almost all [news reports on homosexuality] displayed an attitude that was either outright hostile or else noticeably negative towards homosexuals,” including claims linking homosexuality to child abuse and terrorism, or “gay jihad.” One prominent talk show host even warned that “Russia was in danger of being engulfed by a ‘homosexual sodomite tsunami’” while a Russian actor said he hopes to “shove all gays live into an oven.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin just today suggested that gay people are likely to prey on young people, telling gays and lesbians that they should visit Sochi for the Olympics but “just leave the kids alone, please.”

1. Demons Are In Your Pot

Religious Right activist Gordon Klingenschmitt recently launched his bid for the Colorado State House, and is already angry about the state’s legalization of marijuana following a successful 2012 voter referendum.

“There is a demonic spirit of drunkenness and it’s not just alcohol,” Klingenschmitt says, arguing that smoking pot “invites” demonic spirits into you. “Why do you think you have hallucinations? These spiritual visions that you have are not just biological; they’re actually demonic.”

Klingenschmitt: NYT's David Kirkpatrick Will Go To Hell With al Qaeda For His 'False' Benghazi Report

Several weeks ago, The New York Times' David Kirkpatrick produced a long report on the 2012 attack on Benghazi that largely debunked many of the right-wing talking points about the tragedy. Among Kirkpatrick's findings was that al Qaeda played no role in the attack, but "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt is not buying that at all, insisting on today's "Pray In Jesus Name" program that any Muslim who refuses to denounce passages in the Quran calling for infidels to be killed is "part of al Qaeda."

"If you're a follower of this false prophet [Muhammad] who tells you to go and kill other people the way [Osama] bin Laden did," Klingenschmitt said, "you are part of al Qaeda because you're following these extremist verses."

Klingenschmitt then went on to declare that "the spirit of lying" was inside of Kirkpatrick for having written this "false" report which means that, according to the Bible, Kirkpatrick is doomed to Hell.

"So al Qaeda and Mr. Kirkpatrick, you will have eternity together to look forward to":

Right Wing Leftovers - 1/14/14

  • When you think "Blue Collar Conservative," only one name comes to mind: Rick Santorum.
  • Gordon Klingenschmitt interviews Bob Adelmann, who thinks that opposition to fracking is part of an effort to create a One World Government.
  • Good point, Allen West: "This is my clear and succinct message to white Americans. How long will it be before “you people” realize you have elevated someone to the office of president who abjectly despises you — not to mention his henchman Holder. Combined they are the most vile and disgusting racists — not you."
  • Bryan Fischer says the key to ending any push for amnesty is to "dismantle the welfare state and eliminate the minimum wage."
  • Finally, this is an actual paragraph from an actual article in The Washington Times blaming President Obama for income inequality: "As President Obama prepares to lay out an economic agenda to address this disappointing state of affairs in his State of the Union address this month, his inability to stem long-term trends toward inequality are giving congressional Republicans little incentive to work with him as they push their recently developed agenda against poverty."

Klingenschmitt: Drug-Induced Hallucinations Are Demonic Spirits

"Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt finally returned to his "Pray In Jesus Name" program today after several weeks away, kicking of the first program with a segment opposing the legalization of marijuana in his home state of Colorado by warning that a demonic spirit of addiction was at work and that people were opening themselves up to possession by using recreational drugs.

"There is a demonic spirit of drunkenness," Klingenschmitt said, "but this drunkenness, this desire for pleasure where we invite these spirits into us ... and why do you think you have hallucinations? These spiritual visions that you have are not just biological; they're actually demonic":

Klingenschmitt: 'Gay Marriage Is Inherently Selfish And Abusive To Kids'

Gordon Klingenschmitt began the new year by emailing members of his Pray In Jesus Name Project a warning that growing victories for marriage equality are a sign that more Americans are “deceived by the devil.”

The Religious Right activist and GOP politician wrote that thanks to demonic influence, voters are now willing to “elect anti-Christian tyrants to re-define our national morality in the image of evil.”

He also told activists that “homosexual marriage causes child abuse” and “is inherently selfish and abusive to kids.”

What is the most cruel thing you can do to a child? After physical or sexual abuse, the most cruel thing you can do to a child is take away their mother. That's how homosexual "marriage" causes child abuse, by taking away the child's mother (or father) and telling the child "your need for a mother is less than our right for homosexual pleasure." Gay "marriage" is inherently selfish and abusive to kids.

Let's petition Congress to defend natural marriage between one man and one woman.

If our citizens are deceived by the devil, and we fail to discern the spirits who influence those politicians for whom we vote, then we will elect anti-Christian tyrants to re-define our national morality in the image of evil. Woe to them who call good evil, and evil good.

Homosexual "Marriage" will never be lawful and always be a sin in the eyes of the God of the Bible. There are not sufficient religious exemptions in the Hawaii bill, which will cause liability for churches, non-profits, and for-profit corporations who refuse to participate in their religious "ceremonies."

I met several Congressmen last week in DC, and although they are discouraged, they are not ready to quit. But they must hear from us, that we still care about traditional marriage. Let's send Congress a message today. Demand a Constitutional Marriage Amendment...

Right Wing Leftovers - 1/3/14

  • Linda Harvey says that she removed her new book from Amazon because it had become the target of "a smear campaign by those who had not read the book" and "since the book is brand new and I didn't want it to be harmed by this uninformed and vicious campaign stimulated by 'gay' bloggers, I decided to pull the page for now."
  • Just because something is not true, that is certainly not going to stop Phyllis Schlafly from repeating it.
  • James Dobson needs money because "our contributions during the summer and fall of 2013 have been far below our needs" which, of course, has "been caused in part by economic uncertainty and the utter foolishness of Obamacare."
  • James Robison says that, back in the 1970s, he was the victim of the same sort of attack as Phil Robertson is suffering today.
  • Finally, as a candidate for the state legislature, Gordon Klingenschmitt is already getting results ... mainly because the local Transportation Manager was already aware of the problem.

Klingenschmitt: Gays 'Have Something Unhuman Inside Of Them'

"Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt responds to a ruling against anti-gay Colorado bakery owners by asserting that it is not "dehumanizing" to discriminate against gays because gay people "have something unhuman inside of them."

Klingenschmitt: Jesus Would Command That Married Gay Couples Get Divorced Immediately

On his program today, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt said Christian chaplains can never provide counseling to gay couples, other than to order them to divorce ... which is just what Jesus would do.

Right Wing Leftovers

Klingenschmitt Has No Intention Of Ceasing His War Against Our YouTube Account

As we reported yesterday, we have been engaged in a battle with "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt for several weeks now, stemming from Klingenschmitt's mistaken belief that the videos we have been posting featuring excerpts from his television program are violations of his copyright. As a result, Klingenschmitt has filed multiple copyright claims against our YouTube account and succeeded in shutting it down on two separate occasions.

In both instances, we have filed counter-claims against each and every alleged violation and every one has been resolved in our favor, resulting in our account being restored and the strike against us being removed.

Fed up with his on-going campaign to hamper our work, our lawyers have sent Klingenschmitt a cease and desist letter explicitly warning him that if he continues to file bogus copyright complaints against our YouTube account, legal action will be taken against him.

But, according to an interview Klingenschmitt conducted with David Pakman yesterday, it doesn't appear as if he has any intention of ceasing his campaign to permanently shut down our YouTube account by relentlessly filing bogus copyright complaints against our videos.

Insisting that we are "stealing" his content and trying to pass it off as our own in an effort to make money, Klingenschmitt amazingly asserted that we have been filing a "false counter-claim knowingly infringing on my copyright" by responding to his bogus copyright claims and getting our videos restored on YouTube.

As such, Klingenschmitt states that he has been in contact with lawyers of his own who have allegedly recommended that he sue us, but that is not a course of action that he intends to pursue at this time, he said, though he does intend to continue to file copyright claims against our videos and have them removed from YouTube.

When Pakman pointed out that we cannot be expected to moderate the thousands of comments our videos receive on YouTube nor be held responsible for what anonymous users might post in those comments, Klingenschmitt insisted that we do, in fact, moderate the comments and have removed comments from people supporting him. He even claims to have screencaps that prove it, which is pretty amazing considering that that has never happened.

Pakman's interview with Klingenschmitt was very fair and even-handed, but we would like to address the hypothetical argument he raised that the videos we post to YouTube might not be protected by Fair Use since we are not adding any commentary or criticism.

The entire purpose of posting these brief video clips to YouTube is so that they can serve as the focus in blog posts written here on RightWingWatch where we provide commentary, context, and criticism. Each video uploaded to our YouTube account makes clear that the clip is being posted as part of our regular news reporting to highlight and expose the outrageous statements made by key figures in the right-wing movement and includes commentary on the statements highlighted in the video. As the most popular video sharing site, posting our clips to YouTube makes our reporting available to the broadest swatch of people so that it can easily be shared with other bloggers, activists, and media outlets. In addition, our videos also include a link to the relevant RightWingWatch blog post in which it is being used, which contains further commentary, context, and explanation.

There can be no question that our video clips are used for an entirely different purpose (reporting and commentary) than Klingenschmitt's original purpose, which is to spread his radical, right-wing, anti-gay views and agenda, further making clear that our videos are protected by the doctrine of Fair Use.

Klingenschmitt Kindly Informs Us That He Recently Obtained A Concealed Carry Permit

Several months ago, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt took issue with this blog and the videos we had been posting on YouTube, accusing us of issuing death threats against him because of random comments posted by anonymous users on YouTube.

As we explained at the time, we neither read nor moderate the comments posted on YouTube and we have a disclaimer right on our YouTube page which states that "we in no way support or endorse comments written by third parties and are in no way responsible for them."

On today's "Pray In Jesus Name" program, Klingenschmitt was worrying that the recent implementation of the "nuclear option" in the Senate would result in President Obama packing the federal courts with anti-gun judges. That somehow morphed into a discussion of state laws regarding the right to carry a weapon, which bizarrely ended with "Dr. Chaps" warning this blog specifically that he recently obtained a concealed carry permit.

Declaring that he is a twenty year military veteran and was captain of the rifle team in high school, Klingenschmitt went on to inform us that he recently got a concealed carry permit, saying "so for those of you watching on RightWingWatch and issuing death threats against me, just know that if you come to my home and you threaten my wife, that I will defend myself and my wife."

On the bright side, he did also promise "to pray for your soul, I pray that you go to heaven":

On today's "Pray In Jesus Name" program, Gordon Klingenschmitt praised Colorado bakery owner Jack Phillips for his refusal to make a wedding cake for a gay couple, declaring that not telling gays that they are destined for Hell is a form of "hate speech." "By endorsing their sin" by making a cake for a gay couple, Klingenschmitt said about Phillips, "he would not be showing compassion to them; he would be showing cruelty.
