Jim Garlow was one of the, if not the, key Religious Right leaders helming the fight to pass Proposition 8 in California.  And the reason he did so is because those who seek marriage equality are driven by "an Antichrist spirit" as part of an effort by Satan to "destroy the definition of marriage" so that people will fall away from God.

Garlow is close friends with Newt Gingrich, who carried on an affair with the woman who would become his second wife while he was still married to his first ... and then proceeded to do the very same thing to his second wife with the woman who would become his third.   And since Gingrich is so very, very sorry for his past indiscretions, he has been forgiven and so his presidential aspirations now have Garlow's approval:

Jim Garlow, the pastor of Skyline Church, a congregation in a San Diego suburb, called Gingrich "the strongest possible candidate" for the GOP nomination. Garlow led the effort in 2008 to pass Proposition 8, which outlawed same-sex marriage in California.

Last year, Garlow agreed to serve as chairman of Gingrich's faith-based nonprofit, for which he receives what he called a "small stipend." Since then, he has provided Gingrich with entree to evangelical circles nationwide.

Garlow agreed to head ReAL after a private meeting at which Gingrich acknowledged his past marital failings and began to weep as he spoke of his love for his two daughters.

"In my bleakest days when I was doing wrong, I knew it was wrong," Garlow quoted Gingrich as saying. "There was no attempt to justify his actions."

As Garlow explained several months ago in a video recorded for Cindy Jacobs' "Reformation Day" election prayer event, he supports Gingrich because Gingrich wakes up every day and asks "what can I do today to save Western Civilization?":

Last week, Glenn Beck invited Jerry Boykin onto his program to give his "expert" opinion on the uprising in Egypt and he is also listed among the invited speakers to the next Values Voter Summit:

So now might be a good time to repost this video he produced for Rick Joyner's Morningstar Ministries in which explained that President Obama is a Marxist who intends to create an army of Brownshirts loyal only to him though Health Care Reform legislation:

When he is not speaking to Beck or hobnobbing with Republican leaders at the Values Voter Summit, Boykin is working hand-in-hand with Joyner, preaching at this services, and sitting on the board of his Oak Initiative along with the likes of Janet Porter, Lou Sheldon, and Cindy Jacobs.

As we have noted several times in recent weeks, Faith 2 Action's Janet Porter has recently resurfaced in her native Ohio and is leading the effort to pass anti-choice legislation called "The Heartbeat Bill."

As part of this push, Porter has organized effort to send red, heart-shaped balloons to state legislators and today they are going to be delivered:

Thousands of shiny red heart-shaped balloons will be delivered to legislators today thanking (nearly half the House members who are co-sponsors) and encouraging the others to "Have a Heart! Support the Heartbeat Bill!" The Heartbeat Bill, which will be introduced this week, will legally protect all human beings in the state whose heartbeat can be heard.

Thousands of balloons, sent by residents from all over the state of Ohio and nation, will be delivered today to the 99 state representatives at the Vern Riffe State Office Tower.

"The Heartbeat Bill insures that if a heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected," states Janet (Folger) Porter, the president of Faith2Action and coordinator of bill-related efforts through www.HeartBeatBill.com. "You can help pass what will be the nation's most protective legislation when you go to www.HeartBeatBill.com," added Porter. "We're not going to wait any longer because the time to protect the babies is now."

Last week Porter and other activists, including Phll Burress of Citizens for Community Values, gathered for a press conference in a room filled with these balloons during which Porter reported that she is already getting calls from legislators in Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, Kansas, and Arizona who are interested in introducing similar bills in their own states:

This is quite a change from Porter's recent activism wtih Cindy Jacobs praying that God will give Christians control over the media and every level of government:

Cindy Jacobs and Generals International have released a lengthy prayer guide for dealing with the crisis in Egypt, stating that "it is a HUGE error to think that these protests are about the Egyptians demanding democracy" and warning that Egyptians need to take a lesson from America about the "danger of blindly voting for un-delineated change, simply because of discontent with the present leadership": 

With the Brotherhood coming across as the source of comforting benefits to the nation, the people are blindly agreeing to their order of doing business. The people are ignorant of the sharia realities, while crying out for any kind of change from the inequities and poverty currently included in the Mubarak regime. The CHANGE that the Muslim Brotherhood will bring is not democracy, but rather the removal of all Western influences in Egypt. (NOTE: Two years ago American citizens discovered the danger of blindly voting for un-delineated change, simply because of discontent with the present leadership.) Clearly, the Muslim Brotherhood has as its goals the death of Israel and the West, and also the establishment of an Islamic caliphate everywhere.

For the US government to even suggest that this uprising is about democracy is outrageous. The initial protestors . . . secular students in Egypt . . may in fact be calling for that kind of change, but they have no organization, no leader, and no hope of that happening in Egypt. Additionally WikiLeaks has revealed that the Obama administration has been busy for quite some time . . . stirring up and supporting unrest in Egypt to destabilize Mubarak . . . trying to initiate a regime change of this American ally. (NOTE: Obama has been doing that same meddling in Israel as well; stirring up the left and the media against Bibi, while lauding Livni as a better leader.) The combination of the US administration refusing to stand with one of her major allies, while at the same time being shown to be working to promote the collapse that government, is horrible. What will our other allies think about us? Their trust of America just went out the window. Undoubtedly, the disgrace of, and the level of hatred against, the USA just increased greatly around the world.

—Pray for those who are blindly enacting these protests as a way to achieve democracy will stop and take note at where these protests are now leading Egypt (far away from democracy).

—Pray that the foolish politicians and leaders in the West will stop perpetrating the lie that the goal of the uprising is democracy.

—Pray for wise and educated voices of authority to stand up and speak the truth, about this event and where it is headed. —Pray that the Lord would forgive America for the deceitful undermining of an ally nation, done by Obama. (Keep in mind that Egypt currently has a peace treaty in effect with Israel. Removing Mubarak might bring an end of this peace)

—Pray that the Muslim Brotherhood will not become the ruling power in Egypt.

—Pray that the Lord would strike down sharia law before it takes root in Egypt.

—Pray that the Lord would protect American citizens from the terrible consequences that might come as a result of this treachery and betrayal perpetrated by the US leadership.

—America had been shown to be profoundly weak, unreliable, and compromised in these last two Obama years, but now more than ever. Pray that the Lord would protect the people of America in this nation’s high state of vulnerability.

We have mentioned Rick Joyner here a few times before, mainly to point out that he is a member of the Religious Right supergroup known as The Freedom Federation and that several Religious Right leaders -including Janet Porter, Lou Sheldon, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, Cindy Jacobs, Lt.Gen. W.G. "Jerry" Boykin - sit on the board his Oak Initiative.  

In fact, it was for the Oak Initiative that Boykin recorded his video explaining how President Obama intended to use health care reform legislation to create his own private army of Brownshirts.

Joyner has been deepening his ties to the Religious Right in recent months, apparently because he recently received a message from God while visiting Moravian Falls, NC - which is reportedly an open portal to Heaven - in the form of a dream revealing that the foundation of America is literally on fire and that only the Word of God could save it from utter destruction:

Joyner went on to explain that the only thing that can save America is for Christians to become more involved in politics and for our political and governmental leaders to start listening to the "prophetic voices" of people like Joyner:

Janet Porter got her start in Religious Right politics back in Ohio, serving as the Legislative Director of Ohio Right to Life.  Eventually, she was lured away to Florida by D. James Kennedy to serve as the National Director for his Center for Reclaiming America.  After a few years, Porter then struck out on her own, launching Faith 2 Action and hosting a daily radio program that went increasingly off the rails until her operation was shut down due to her increasing involvement with Dominion Theology and self-proclaimed "prophets" like Cindy Jacobs.

And now things have come full circle, as Porter has moved back to Ohio and is applying her patented "send X number of Ys in support of Z" brand of activism to a piece of anti-choice legislation called "the Heartbeat Bill": 

Representative Lynn Wachtmann, the new Chairman of the House Health Committee, has announced he will be introducing the "Heartbeat Bill" in the Ohio House which will protect unborn babies from abortion once their hearts have begun to beat.

"Science has already given us a yardstick to determine if someone is alive--a beating heart;" said Wachtmann, "We just want to see that measurement applied evenly. This bill calls for an end to discrimination and the protection of every human being with a beating heart--no matter their age!"

Janet (Folger) Porter, former Legislative Director of Ohio Right to Life, and President of Faith2Action, has moved back to Ohio to help lead the effort. "Ohio is going to make history again," said Porter, who helped to pass the nation’s first partial-birth abortion ban in 1995. "My last conversation with my dear friend Mark Lally, Ohio Right to Life's Legal Counsel, before he passed away, was about this very bill. We're going to pass it in his honor," added Porter.

Balloons ordered now will be delivered the week of Valentine's Day, when the bill is scheduled for introduction. Orders can be placed by going to http://www.HeartBeatBill.com before February 14th. Each balloon will come with a personalized card from the sender with the message: "Have a heart, Pass the Heartbeat Bill!"

Earlier this week, we noted that the Freedom Federation had announced that its next "Awakening" conference will take place in April at Liberty University and that organizers have invited dozens of Religious Right leaders as well as Republican leaders like Ken Cuccinelli, Michele Bachmann, Marco Rubio, Alan West, Mike Pence, Newt Gingrich, and Mike Huckabee.

But one of the Religious Right activists who is not listed is Cindy Jacobs, who is not only a member of the Freedom Federation but was featured on stage during last year's conference along with Richard Land and Samuel Rodriguez:

And judging by the public calendar posted on Jacobs' Generals International website, it sure looks like she plans on attending:

So why isn't Jacobs listed among the Awakening's invited speakers?  Are organizers afraid that she might start talking about how the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell is killing birds while sharing the stage with the Republican leaders who attend?  

Last year, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli joined dozens of Religious Right leaders for an event called "Awakening 2010," organized by the Freedom Federation and hosted at Liberty University, where Cindy Jacobs declared that "the Bible is the government of the people, by the people, for the people," while Matt Barber and Andrea Lafferty claimed that passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act would allow those working at the Veteran's Administration to freely molest disable veterans.

In April, the Freedom Federation will host its second annual "Awakening" conference entitled "Raising Our Voices: Equipping and Empowering a New Revolution" which organizer hope will feature a mix of right-wing activists like Lou Engle, Tony Perkins, Mat Staver, Frank Gaffney, Wendy Wright, David Barton, and Gary Bauer with Republican leaders like Cuccinelli, Michele Bachmann, Marco Rubio, Alan West, Mike Pence, Newt Gingrich, and Mike Huckabee:

Notice also the proposed inclusion of Ryan Sorba, whose made a name for himself as last year's CPAC by blasting organizers for allowing the participation of GOProud.
