"Ex-gay" activist Christopher Doyle was a guest on the American Family Association's "Today's Issues" radio broadcast this morning where he informed hosts Tim Wildmon and Ed Vitagliano that nobody is born gay but rather some people are simply born with a "sensitive temperament" that makes them think they are gay. "There's no such thing as a gay gene or gay hormones or gay brain. Those studies have been debunked," Doyle said. "What the sensitive temperament does is it makes the client more vulnerable to experiencing these hurts and this... MORE >

On her radio program today, the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios promoted the upcoming Ex-Gay Awareness Month — at which she will be receiving the prestigious “Friend of Ex-Gays Freedom Award” — by repeating a hoax story about a mother-daughter lesbian couple. Rios read her guest, ex-gay activist Christopher Doyle, an article from the website Stuppid.com that supposedly tells the story of a mother-daughter couple named Vertasha and Mary Carter. But as the myth-busting website Snopes.com reports, the story is a complete hoax. “The fight against this... MORE >

Last week, Ex-Gay Pride Month organizers Christopher Doyle and Chuck Peters of Voice of the Voiceless spoke to American Family Association talk show host Sandy Rios about how strong women and “stupid,” “buffoon” dads on television are turning kids gay. As a result, boys begin idolizing women and female celebrities while seeing “this caricature of men on TV,” which somehow makes them gay. Peters: I split off that side of myself, the masculine side, the boyhood side. I thought ‘I’m not going to be a man, I’m going to be like a woman.... MORE >

Ex-gay activist Christopher Doyle claims that while he doesn’t necessarily approve of harsh anti-gay laws in Uganda, Nigeria, India and Russia, he believes that the laws are fitting responses to the gay rights movement in the United States for being mean to anti-gay activists like himself. “Gay activism has forced a political correctness on many Western cultures, [Doyle] says, which prevents those who believe in traditional marriage from sharing their beliefs without repercussions,” the Christian Post reports, while noting that such laws are “‘overly punitive... Jim Bob Duggar thinks there is "a sleeping giant which is the Christian Conservative" that will propel Ken Cuccinelli to victory in Virginia. Questions are being raised about the veracity of E.W. Jackson's claims of deprivation as a child. "Ex-gay" activist Christopher Doyle says he will file a lawsuit if universities in Virginia do not start offering "ex-gay" therapy on campus. FRC prays against supposed anti-Christian bigotry in the military: "May God intervene to stop this trend which began in earnest with the overturn of Don... MORE >

Despite claims that “there are more ex-gay people in the world than there are gay people in the world” and that there are “thousands of ex-gays” ready to march on Washington and make their voices heard, ex-gay gatherings always seem to assemble just a small handful of people. And it’s always the exact same people. Ex-Gay Awareness Month, which immediately followed the disastrous Ex-Gay Pride Month lobby day, managed to muster “about 15 ex-gay activists to lobby Capitol Hill” yesterday. Seeing that Congress was in the midst of a battle over the... MORE >
