On his radio program yesterday, Bryan Fischer cited a comment made by Charles Krauthammer based on a quote in a Washington Post article about the possible impact of the sequester to declare that liberals want bad things to happen because that is good for their political agenda and, as such, they "actually want bad things to happen to our country."
"They are like scavengers," Fischer proclaimed, "they're like vultures feeding on the carcass of the American economy, so they want it to die so they can eat. I mean, that is how perverse their worldview is... MORE >

As we have said before, we cannot understand how Samuel Rodriguez maintains his reputation as some sort of "moderate" when he constantly associates himself with the most extreme elements of the Religious Right. Matt Barber says that by failing to defend DOMA, the Obama administration is essentially trying to criminalize Christianity. Once again, Glenn Beck hauls out his chalkboard to demonstrate that most Americans are just like him and Ted Cruz. S.E Cupp has withdrawn from CPAC in protest of the ban on GOProud. Finally, Bryan Fischer channels David Barton in... MORE >

On yesterday's radio program, Bryan Fischer went after President Obama for refusing to defend the Defense of Marriage Act before the Supreme Court, calling it a violation of his oath of office before declaring that people do not have any right whatsoever to engage in homosexual acts: "They don't have a moral right to do it, they don't have an ethical right to do it, they don't have a right to do it according to the laws of nature, and most importantly they do not have a right to do it according to the laws of God; and beyond that they do not have a right to do it... After Tim Tebow canceled his scheduled speaking engagement at Robert Jeffress' church last week, Bryan Fischer lashed out at the "bigoted bullies at Big Gay" who were supposedly responsible for pressuring Tebow into backing down.
Jeffress' addressed the controversy in a defiant sermon on Sunday that apparently send a thrill up Fischer's spine, as he played a lengthy excerpt from it on his radio program today ... but not before declaring that Jeffress is now "the most important man in America" and predicting that the Tebow controversy represents a "turning... American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer is none too pleased about Tim Tebow’s decision to pull out of a speaking engagement at far-right pastor Robert Jeffress’ megachurch, a gig first reported by Right Wing Watch.
In his column yesterday, Fischer warned that by pulling out of the speaking engagement, Tebow put his eternal salvation in jeopardy. Fischer piled on in his Focal Point radio program, saying that the Jets backup quarterback is the latest person to cave to the “bigoted bullies at Big Gay.”
Fischer lamented that “homosexual... MORE >

The Republican Party’s approval rating continues to nose-dive.
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) warns that gun safety laws will make us more susceptible to Sharia law.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) offers some extraordinarily bad logic in his letter asking the Obama administration to withdraw Chuck Hagel’s nomination.
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman makes the conservative case for marriage equality.
Fox News loves Dr. Benjamin Carson.

Bryan Fischer dedicates the first segment of every program to a discussion of a reading from the Bible, followed by a prayer based on that reading. In addition to his own family and friends and co-workers, Fischer regularly includes President Obama among those for whom he is praying and yesterday explained that he does so because Jesus commanded Christians to pray for their enemies and those that persecute them.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Fischer declared, "we should be under no illusions here; President Obama is not our friend, President Obama is our enemy":

As Brian just demonstrated, the Religious Right is not at all pleased about the Pentagon's decision to allow women to serve in combat and that, of course, includes Bryan Fischer, who declared on his radio program today that the change is part of a deliberate effort on the part of President Obama to destroy the military.
As Fischer sees it, Obama "detests the military" because he views it as tool that "white colonial powers" use to oppress nations around the globe. In fact, Obama is so imbued with hatred of America's fundamental "white supremacy [and]... MORE >
