Over the last few days, Bryan Fischer has dedicated several segments of his radio show to discussing the claims made by former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in his new book, especially Gates' assertion that President Obama had serious doubts about the strategy his administration was pursuing in Afghanistan. On his show today, Fischer speculated that Obama's doubts were rooted in the fact that Obama is "disparaging of Christianity" because "his sympathies are with the Islamic faith." As such, Obama didn't want to send US troops into Afghanistan "because... MORE >

For $25, you can get a signed copy of Todd Starnes' forthcoming book, "God Less America: Real Stories From the Front Lines of the Attack on Traditional Values." Speaking of Starnes, he doesn't seem to be available for comment in response to allegations that he is a liar. We have no idea what this means: "I was saying it before the 2010 off-year elections, and I’ve been saying it since same. The ability to stop the transmogrification of our great nation into a socialist state where we are lorded over by Fabianistic, Neo-Leninist Mensheviks who... MORE >

On his radio broadcast yesterday, Bryan Fischer spoke with a caller about the "Duck Dynasty" controversy and declared that the main lesson of the entire thing is that the views put forth by Phil Robertson and, by extension, Fischer and his audience, are widely shared by the vast majority of Americans. "One of the take-aways of that whole episode," Fischer said, "is that Phil Robertson and the American people like you and me that agree with him, that we are the mainstream. It's the gay activists, it's the gay lobby, they're the ones that are on the fringe... MORE >
Fischer: People Who Believe In Evolution Are 'Disqualified From Holding Political Office In The United States Of America'
SUBMITTED BY: Kyle Mantyla, Thursday 01/02/2014, 3:33pm
Bryan Fischer returned to his radio broadcast today where he dedicated his first topic segment to explaining that no person who believes in evolution ought to ever be elected to public office. "We don't share ancestors with apes and baboons," he proclaimed. "In fact, I would suggest to you that if a politician, if somebody wants to exercise political power and he is an evolutionist, he is disqualified from holding political office in the United States of America." Fischer went on to clarify that he doesn't think there ought to be a law banning people who believe in... MORE >

A federal judge in Utah has struck down the state’s ban on same-sex marriage. On a semi-related note, anti-gay marriage activists believe that they will eventually win this fight: "This may take us years, but in the same way Roe v Wade looked utterly hopeless when it was put forward. But we see now today that the majority of Americans are now pro-life." Glenn Beck's political insights are quite remarkable. While ostensibly complaining about Phil Robertson's suspension, Breitbart's John Nolte says "bundled cable is the root of too many political... MORE >

Just in case the Religious Right's response to the "Duck Dynasty" controversy has not already been ridiculously over-the-top enough, Bryan Fischer decided to officially turn into a total farce by declaring on his radio broadcast today that Robertson's suspension is literally "the Mark of the Beast": MORE >

An anti-gay law championed by evangelical Christians in Uganda with the enthusiastic backing of Religious Right leaders in the U.S. has passed parliament and is awaiting the president’s decision on whether to sign it. The bill as passed apparently no longer includes the death penalty provision but makes homosexuality a crime punishable by life in prison. LGBT activist Frank Mugisha says his colleagues are panicking, fearing that “there is going to be a hunt.” Martin Ssempa, a Ugandan minister who has pushed the bill for years, and has been praised by Religious Right...
