When describing her efforts to stop the health care reform law, Penny Nance of Concerned Women For America said she “literally chased Bart Stupak down the hall” in order to “defend babies.” Rep. Stupak (D-MI), was the leader behind the Stupak-Pitts Amendment which would have seriously undermined reproductive rights by “eliminating coverage of medically indicated abortions over time for all women, not only those whose coverage is derived through a health insurance exchange,” according to a George Washington University study. However, the Stupak-Pitts... MORE >

Every once in a while it is important to remind ourselves that the Religious Right doesn't want our nation's laws to reflect Biblical principles only on issues like abortion or gay marriage, but on all laws. And though we tend to forget that from time to time, fortunately they are willing to remind us, which is what David Barton and Rick Green of Wallbuilders did today, laying out the case for complete economic deregulation on the grounds that that is what the Bible says that Christians should be free to do as they please, while laws and regulations should only be targeted at "the bad... On the lastest episode of "The Brody File," the half-hour program featuring CNB's David Brody, Tony Perkins voiced his displeasure with Michael Steele and Bart Stupak, as well as his belief that President Obama is a "threat to America." That statement came about after Brody asked Perkins if the Obama administration has turned out to be as bad as he expected. Beginning at the 5:00 mark, Perkins claims that while he was never a fan of Obama's, he was "not hostile" to the administration initially ... but: My worst nightmare has come to reality and more,... Rep. Bart Stupak announced that he will not be running for re-election. And the Right responds with a unanimous "good riddance." In a sign of the times, the Heritage Foundation is launching its own grassroots group, Heritage Action for America. Apparently, VA AG Ken Cuccinelli is quite a fan of old-school rap. Finally, quote of the day from Rick Green: "If they're looking for a mamsy-pamsy, weak-kneed politician, no good looking right here. That's not what I am or ever will be. But if they're looking for somebody with firm convictions and... MORE >

The Family Research Council is running radio ads targeting Rep. Bart Stupak. Speaking of FRC, Tony Perkins has been invited to speak at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. Sen. Jim DeMint is out to fill the Senate with as many ultra-right-wing senators as possible. Concerned Women for America says their criticism of the RNC has brought in a lot of money for the organization. On a related note, Sarah Palin says RNC Chair Michael Steele is "doing a great job." Finally, behold the current state of the GOP: Although the rally was for... MORE >

It seems as if the women over at Concerned Women for America are still not over having had their hearts broken by Rep. Bart Stupak's support for health care reform, which is why they released this video documenting their grief: Concerned Women for America: You (Stupak) Broke My Heart MORE >

Will Kentucky really forgo $42 million in federal funds just to save a "Hell Is Real" billboard? Family Research Council Action and the Oklahoma Family Policy Council are backing a measure that will ban compensation for young women who donate their eggs to fertility clinics. Rob Schenck meets Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Ann Coulter will be headlining WorldNetDaily's "Taking Back America" conference. Is anyone even remotely surprised. Liberty Counsel says 10,000 people will be attending the Freedom Federation's "Awakening" Summit. I... MORE >
Christian Coalition: Bart Stupak Is a Traitor Just Like Benedict Arnold and Julius & Ethel Rosenberg
SUBMITTED BY: Kyle Mantyla, Friday 03/26/2010, 11:39am
It seems that the passage of health care reform legislation has awakened the fury in the Christian Coalition. Earlier this week, they compared its passage to Pearl Harbor and 9/11 and now they are back labeling Rep. Bart Stupak a traitor on par with Benedict Arnold, Julius & Ethel Rosenberg ... and Jane Fonda: Nearly all Americans, even students in America's politically-correct schools, know who America's number one traitor is, Benedict Arnold, who escaped to Great Britain avoiding arrest and the noose during the Revolutionary War. Most senior citizens, and other knowledgeable... MORE >
