In his second interview with Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality and pastor John Kirkwood, Bishop E.W. Jackson launched into another blistering tirade against gays and lesbians. The anti-gay activist said that gays and lesbians have “perverted” minds and are “very sick people psychologically, mentally and emotionally,” and bigoted against African Americans and Christians. He went on to say that gays and lesbians seek societal approval because “they’ll never feel satisfied because in their heart of hearts” they know “it is... MORE >

Bishop E.W. Jackson of Staying True to America’s National Destiny (STAND) continues to tell (largely white) Religious Right leaders that black voters are about to move against President Obama in huge numbers to punish him for supporting marriage equality for gays and lesbians. While Jackson came in fourth place in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Virginia with less than 5 percent of the vote, he won accolades in the conservative movement for his new video comparing Democrats to salve masters.
While speaking to talk show host Janet Mefferd, Jackson claimed that his video is... MORE >

Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality played host to failed Republican Senate candidate E.W. Jackson, who received a hero’s welcome over his new campaign calling on African Americans to ditch the Democratic Party over gay rights. While President Obama has a 94-0 lead among black voters, Jackson consistently insisted during the interview that Obama’s support in the African American community is collapsing. He also argued that Obama never would have been elected if he were white, accusing him of having close ties “with a lot of Communists” and... MORE >

Bishop E.W. Jackson has embarked on a campaign following his failed Senate bid to convince black voters to reject the Democrats’ “anti-God” views and partake in a “mass exodus of Christians from the Democrat party.” Today in an opinion piece in the Washington Times, “Blacks are abandoning the Democratic Party,” Jackson asserted that African Americans will abandon the Democratic party over the issues of abortion rights and gay equality, incredulously asking how Democrats have “managed to hold on to black Christians in spite of an agenda... Last week we noted that E.W. Jackson has launched an effort to lead "a mass Exodus of Christians from the Democrat party" on the grounds that the party has turned its back on God.
Earlier this week, Jackson released a new video as part of this effort in which he blasted the Democratic Party for its ties to Planned Parenthood, which "has been far more lethal to Black lives than the KKK ever was," and for comparing the fight for marriage equality to the fight for civil rights, which Jackson called "an outrageous lie" and "an insult to human intelligence.... On Monday, fringe Religious Right activist and failed Senate candidate E.W. Jackson hosted a press conference to "call for a mass Exodus of Christians from the Democrat party."
And Jackson kicked things off by doing just that, declaring that all Christians and Jews must leave the Democratic Party because "it has turned its back on us; it is time that we turn our back on it." As proof, Jackson cited the plank supporting marriage equality in the party platform, saying that by including this, the Democratic Party has declared that the Bible is a lie and the God is a... After badly losing his race for U.S. Senate in Virginia with just 5 percent of the vote in the Republican primary, Bishop E.W. Jackson is once again railing against the Democratic Party and told conservative radio host Steve Deace on Friday that Democrats are like slave masters. “I liken them to slave masters who brag about how good their slaves are and how well-behaved they are but let them try to be free,” Jackson maintained, “let them try to escape and then you find out that they don’t really think very much of them.” Jackson said if African Americans don... Bishop E.W. Jackson is, even by right-wing standards, something of a fringe figure. He seems to have some ties to Rick Scarborough and appeared on Janet Porter's radio program not too long ago.
He is also Founder of Exodus Faith Ministries and last year founded something called Staying True to America's National Destiny [S.T.A.N.D] and was among the participants at the right-wing anti-hate crimes rally last year, where he railed against the legislation as the result of a "virulent strain of anti-Christian bigotry and hatred."
But today, Jackson announced his most grandiose plan yet... MORE >
