Speaking with Family Research Council president Tony Perkins on Washington Watch last week, Texas Republican Rep. Ted Poe accused President Obama and his administration of promoting policies that are “anti-religious.” Poe and Perkins were discussing with the manufactured controversy over a Texas veteran’s cemetery that prohibits a volunteer group from holding religious services at a funeral if the family does not request it. The New York Times points out that this rule was created in 2007 by the Bush administration, but according to Poe, the policy is actually all Obama... MORE >

Last week, Bryan Fischer weighed in on the Viki Knox controversy with a column declaring that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was the charter member of "American Association of Religious Bigots" [a group Fischer just made up] because of Christie's concerns about Knox's comments.
Fischer discussed the controversy and his column on his radio program yesterday, where he said that the entire thing was set off by a display honoring Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender History Month and asking if the display honored "all the homosexuals that had an enormous impact on history... In an appearance on Family Life radio on Sunday, Star Parker argued that all of America’s ills, from excessive government spending to deep-rooted poverty, are a result of “sexual promiscuity” and “immorality.” Parker, who wrote in a column this week that America “can’t divorce our sexual promiscuity from our fiscal promiscuity,” told Family Life said that “sexual irresponsibility and immorality” led to “the top three social crises confronting us as a nation today,” which she said are “AIDS, abortion, and the entire... Conservative commentator Thomas Sowell writes today in his weekly column that efforts to combat the bullying of LGBT youth are meant to “advance the agenda of homosexual organizations and can turn homosexuality into yet another of the subjects on which words on only one side are permitted.” According to Sowell, anti-bullying efforts are merely a ruse to promulgate “propaganda for politically correct causes that are in vogue”:
Most of the stories about the bullying of gays in schools are about words directed against them, not about their suffering the violence that has... MORE >

Rick Joyner and Lou Engle have been working to promote The Call: Detroit, 11-11-11, a prayer rally whose central goals will include the conversion of American Muslims to Christianity. In their latest series of interviews, Joyner said that the burgeoning Muslim community in Michigan, particularly in the cities of Detroit and Dearborn, represents a “Sign of the Times,” a reference to the Last Days before the Second Coming. Joyner claimed that the state’s Muslim community may try “to make Michigan our first Muslim state.” Engle responded that The Call will help... MORE >

Back in 2009, Dave Welch of the US Pastor Council took the lead in opposing the campaign of openly gay Houston mayoral candidate Annise Parker but lost, leading Welch to apologize for letting our "position on the wall be breached by the enemy" while declaring Parker's election to be evidence "of cancer of the soul among the people."
So, in case you weren't aware, Welch is not particularly supportive of Parker's sexuality or her role in public office. And that is why, as the Texas Freedom Network reports, Welch's organization sent out an email announcing a new... MORE >

Herman Cain seems to believe that the number "45" holds specific significance for his life.
The media finally notices that Michele Bachamnn has a tendency to just make things up.
On a related note, Bachmann's campaign is so dysfunctional that staffers have to publicly release letters announcing that they have quit her campaign.
Rick Joyner does not seem particularly enamored with any of the GOP candidates.
