No matter how many times the deceitful claim that abortion providers are systematically targeting the black community for genocide is repudiated, new anti-choice groups can’t seem to stop running more ‘black genocide’ billboard campaigns. In March, a group called Life Always notoriously used images of President Barack Obama and a young black girl in their billboard campaign that abortion is black genocide. Earlier this summer the National Black Pro-Life Coalition put up billboards in Atlanta likening legal abortion to slavery and the Radiance Foundation and Issues4Life... MORE >

Rick Perry is on a bit of a pledge-signing binge lately. Bryan Fischer debunks evolution in four easy steps. I think the fact that IWF is upset about this is itself proof that "we have reached the point of insanity." Note to Frank Turek: that is not actually the definition of bigotry. In fact, the definition you give is, ironically, kind of the definition of ignorance. The Eagle Forum has released its candidate questionnaire [PDF]. It seems that any government official who thinks nonreligious views should be equally recognized "should be removed... MORE >

Florida school teacher Jerry Buell has been reinstated after posting anti-gay marriage remarks on his Facebook page. But that probably won't be the end of the Religious Right's crusade about it. Tony Perkins says the Religious Right would be pretty happy with any of the GOP frontrunners. I highly doubt that is true regarding Mitt Romney. Rick Perry has signed the Susan B. Anthony's anti-choice pledge. Another day, another piece dismissing dominionism devoid of any research whatsoever. The defamation claim against John Stemberger over statements he made while... MORE >

Lisa Miller demonstrates just how easy it is to dismiss the rise of dominionism by doing no research and providing no evidence at all. I have no idea what this is, but it seems rather sketchy to me. The Christian Defense Coalition's Pat Mahoney is protesting President Obama's "$50,000 a week vacation." Michele Bachamann stopped by Liberty University to meet with Jerry Falwell Jr. yesterday. It is truly amazing to watch right-wing activists now rail against George W. Bush and his aides as "Ruling Class Republicans." Concerned Women For America... MORE >

David Ramadan is a long-time Republican activist who is currently running for a seat in the Virginia State Assembly and he has secured endorsements from the likes of Eric Cantor and Ed Meese. But he is also a Muslim, which of course means that his campaign is vehemently opposed by the anti-Islam faction on the right: James Lafferty is chairman of the Virginia Anti-Sharia Task Force. He says Ramadan supports the "Ground Zero" Mosque in New York City and has also had some ties with the lobbying firm for Libya in the United States. "That's not like any conservative I've ever met... Following a poor showing in Iowa, Tim Pawlenty dropped out of the presidential race. Apparently, the fact that he had back surgery is somehow going to help Rick Perry attack healthcare reform ... or something. Richard Viguerie hasn't liked any GOP candidate for a long time, but he likes Rick Perry. WorldNetDaily, on the other hand, does not like Perry. Barry Hankins, author of "Francis Schaeffer and the Shaping of Evangelical America," does not approve of the portrait of Schaeffer constructed by Ryan Lizza's in his profile of Michele Bachmann.... Matt Barber is not happy with Ann Coulter for joining GOProud's Advisory Council. Speaking of GOProud, the groups is not happy about being tossed-out of CPAC. PBS takes a look at Francis Schaeffer and his work, which had a big influence on Michele Bachmann. Albert Mohler says the the biggest problem with marriage equality "is not that homosexuality will be normalized and accepted, but that homosexuals will not come to know of their own need for Christ and the forgiveness of their sins." Finally, it seems that Focus on the Family is still angry about the... MORE >

Eric Bearse, the former Rick Perry spokesman who is now the official spokesperson for The Response prayer rally, wants to make clear that people of all faiths are welcome to tomorrow’s event. But Perry’s rally is organized by hard-line fundamentalists, and one rally organizer said the participation of non-Christians would be “idolatry of the worst sort.” Many people may not feel welcome based on the fact that the host organization, the American Family Association, wants all immigrants to convert to Christianity and believes non-Christians don’t have First...
