Dinesh D'Souza Wants To Give Obama A Spanking

Conservative author Dinesh D’Souza spoke with Newsmax host Steve Malzberg today about how Republicans in Congress should respond to President Obama’s executive action on immigration. As D’Souza cogently explained, the GOP should treat him like a spoiled baby who needs a good spanking.

D’Souza called Obama an “extremely spoiled brat” who has “been a spoiled brat since he was two,” insisting that the president is acting like a misbehaved infant who wants to “see whether you spank him or not.”

“And the big question is, will the Republicans now do what is needed and spank him?” D’Souza asked.

D’Souza said that the GOP should organize a rally of immigrants who opposed Obama’s plans, noting that he wouldn’t be able to attend such a rally since he is under travel restrictions after pleading guilty to violating campaign finance laws.

Obama, D’Souza said, doesn’t care for patriotic immigrants like D’Souza and instead wants immigrants who share his supposed contempt for America: “The key issue has never been immigration or non-immigration but what kind of immigrants we want in this country and whether they come legally or illegally. We want immigrants who will pull the bandwagon; he wants immigrants who will sit in the bandwagon. We want immigrants who embody the spirit of 1776; he wants immigrants who embody the envious, covetous spirit of 1968. So we’re fighting over whether we want productive immigrants or unproductive people like Obama himself.”

Rick Santorum: Obama Becoming A 'Tyrant' Who Is 'Backing Americans In A Corner'

In an interview on Newsmax TV today, Rick Santorum argued that Obama’s actions on deportation relief represent “something that we’ve never dealt with in American history” — despite the fact that several recent GOP presidents also used executive action on immigration.

“The president has acted like a tyrant and he has acted against the Constitution and he has thrown the Republicans and he has thrown the country a curveball, we’ve never dealt with anything like this before,” Santorum said. “That has to be not just backing Republicans in a corner, it’s backing Americans in a corner of a president who thinks he is above the law and above the Constitution.”

Ben Carson: Obama Has 'Nefarious Agenda' To Bring In Government-Dependent Voters

In an interview this morning with Newsmax TV, conservative activist and potential GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson insisted that President Obama’s executive action providing temporary deportation relief for some undocumented immigrations is part of a “nefarious agenda” to bring government-dependent voters to the U.S.

“I think he’s very smart, he’s very clever, he’s very scheming,” Carson told host J.D. Hayworth. “And, boy, if he could use that intellect on behalf of the American people rather than on behalf of his nefarious agenda, we would be doing quite well.”

“Essentially, is he just trying to instead of get out the vote, bring in the vote?” asked Hayworth, a former GOP congressman from Arizona. “Is this all designed to have new voters — despite the fact he claims they’re not going to get citizenship — is the long-term goal to bring in a new class of voters dependent on government?”

“Of course it is,” Carson replied.

Later in the interview, Carson offered his recommendation for how Republicans in Congress should respond to the president’s announcement: by shutting down the government, but only the parts that are “important to the president” and not any parts that will “hurt the American people.”

“I hope they put in front of them a whole list of the things that can be defunded, and then look specifically at the ones that are going to hurt [Obama] and those around him. Defund those things. I don’t want things that are going to hurt the American people,” Carson said, claiming that during the sequester, President Obama chose to cut funding on programs that would “inflict the most pain on the American people.”

“It’s not an all-or-none phenomenon,” he said. “You don’t have to shut down the important parts of the government. You just defund the things that are important to the president.”

Carson did not provide any specifics of programs to cut that would hurt Obama but not anybody else.

Allen West Predicts An 'Incredible Cry' For Obama's Impeachment

Former Florida congressman Allen West, who has previously called for Congress to impeach President Obama, said on Newsmax today that after Obama makes his planned announcement on immigration, Americans will express an “incredible cry” for his impeachment.

When host Steve Malzberg asked him whether Republicans push for impeachment, West responded that the president’s immigration announcement will provoke “an incredible cry from the American people” so that Republicans won’t even “need to talk about it.”

Rep. Kelly: Impeaching Obama Not Off The Table Because He's Dragging America Into A Civil War

Rep. Mike Kelly, Republican of Pennsylvania, reacted angrily today to President Obama’s indication that he will soon temporarily relieve some undocumented immigrants of the threat of deportation, telling Newsmax host Ed Berliner that such a move will push the country into an “internal crisis” not seen since the days leading up to the Civil War.

Kelly told Berliner that House Republicans shouldn’t take impeachment off the table:

“The country is witnessing something right now that I don’t think in our entire history we’ve ever looked at, a constitutional crisis,” he said, calling it “sickening” that many Democrats have applauded Obama’s immigration stance.

Of course, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush also used executive action to change status of certain undocumented immigrants.

He also harkened back to the Civil War and recommended that the president read Rick Warren’s book “A Purpose Driven Life” to temper his ego: Right now in the history of our country we have never had such an internal crisis as we’ve had, not since the mid-1800s, of what we’re going through right now. Why would this president choose this issue and cause a constitutional crisis? I really suggest to him, there’s a book out that I read years ago, it was really a turning point in my life, by pastor Rick Warren and it’s called ‘A Purpose Driven Life’ and the very first words: ‘It’s not about me.’ This is the president who everything is about him, it’s about his legacy or what he’s going to say is his legacy. I would hate to see him go down in history, or maybe he wants to go down in history, as the guy who tore America apart.

Lamar Smith: Democrats Want Immigration Action Because They're 'Banking On' New Votes

Rep. Lamar Smith, Republican of Texas, said today that the “extreme fringe of the Democratic Party” is supporting an executive action providing deportation relief to some undocumented immigrants because it “wants to treat those from other countries better than we treat our own American citizens” and ultimately is “banking” on the votes of new immigrants.

“It’s amazing that an American president, a United States president, would put the interest of those who don’t live in the country or are in the country illegally ahead of the interest of American citizens,” Smith told Newsmax host J.D. Hayworth.

When Hayworth asked Smith about far-right columnist Selwyn Duke’s argument that deportation relief would amount to a “get-out-the-vote drive” for Democrats, Smith agreed, saying “demographics” indicate that immigrants covered under the proposed executive action — which does not include a path to citizenship or voting rights — will give 80 percent of their votes to Democrats.

“I wish that weren’t the case, but those are the demographics and the president and the Democratic Party are banking on them, and that’s why I say they’re putting the interest of other individuals ahead of the interests of U.S. citizens,” he said.

Brigitte Gabriel: 'No Chance' Of Muslim Americans 'Blending In' To U.S.

Anti-Muslim activist Brigitte Gabriel told Newsmax host Dennis Michael Lynch last week that there is “no chance” of American Muslims ever “blending in” with U.S. society.

In an interview on Friday, Lynch told Gabriel that he had recently traveled to Dearborn, Michigan, and “did not see all but maybe one or two homes with an American flag waving outside” and at one point stopped to ask for directions and was ignored.

“Why is it that the Muslim community is not blending in with the rest of American society?” he asked.

“Because this is what they are being told in mosques across the United States,” Gabriel responded, claiming that American mosques are “instructing their people not to shake hands on Christmas or Easter or wish the Americans a happy holiday.”

“Is there any chance that the Muslim community will ever turn it around?” Lynch asked.

“No,” Gabriel responded, “there is no chance, we are seeing a reverse, actually, instead of a blending in, instead of assimilation.”

Newt Gingrich: Obama Golfs To Take His Mind Off Being An 'Incompetent' 'Radical'

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared on Newsmax TV’s “America’s Forum” talk show this week to weigh in on Republican victories in the midterm elections.

After host J.D. Hayworth, a former Arizona congressman, asked Gingrich how he “as a historian” sees Obama, Gingrich predictably launched into a tirade against President Obama’s policies, particularly the Affordable Care Act, and what he sees as the impending failure of the Democrats in the next election cycle. Gingrich blamed President Obama’s supposed mishandling of issues like Ebola and ISIS on the fact that the president is both radical and incompetent.

“I think he is the most radical president in American history. But what makes it fascinating is he is incompetent and radical,” he said. “You’re really running a big risk if you’re both incompetent and radical. I think in a lot of ways you’re seeing someone who is in over his head.”

His gross incompetence, Gingrich explains, is why Obama “goes and golfs because that way at least he doesn’t have to think about it.”

So, just as Obama is simultaneously a feeble, “apathetic” leader and a power-hungry “dictator,” he is brazenly implementing his radical policies while also so painfully incompetent that he can’t effectively implement those policies. Makes sense.

Pat Buchanan: Joni Ernst A 'Gal' With The 'Same Kind Of Attractiveness' As Sarah Palin

Democratic Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin drew criticism from right and left last week when he urged voters not to choose Joni Ernst, the Republican candidate to replace him, simply because she’s “really attractive” and “sounds nice.”

Conservative commentator Pat Buchanan apparently didn’t get the memo.

The former Republican presidential candidate dedicated a good portion of an interview with Newsmax today to gushing about how now Senator-elect Ernst is “a gal with a real sense of humor and a fighting spirit” and “has the same kind of attractiveness that Sarah Palin had at the start and that Michele Bachmann gained in the Iowa caucuses, being a very attractive, outspoken person, a woman in the GOP full of passion and full of hard-core philosophy.”

Bachmann: Obama Wants To 'Flood Our Nation With Millions Of Sure-Thing Democrat Voters'

Rep. Michele Bachmann said today that if President Obama were to take executive action to prevent the deportation of some undocumented immigrants living in the United States, his goal would be to “flood our nation with millions of sure-thing Democrat [sic] voters” who would rely on “the United States government as their source of supply.”

“This will be the most significant achievement of President Obama’s second term,” Bachmann told Newsmax host Ed Berliner of the potential executive action. “It is what he has wanted from the very beginning, and that is to flood our nation with millions of new sure-thing Democrat voters. And the reason why is because he wants to bring a flood of individuals into the country who will be looking to the United States government as their source of supply.”

The Minnesota Republican went on to argue that such a move from the president would simultaneously hurt Democrats and ensure their victory in future elections: “That won’t help the Democrat Party, the president’s actions will hurt the Democrat Party in future elections, but the president unfortunately doesn’t care because his long-term view is that it will eventually deliver voters to the Democrat Party.”

Dinesh D'Souza: Obama Using Ebola To Act As 'President Of The World'

Conservative pundit Dinesh D’Souza managed to avoid a prison sentence for campaign finance violations, so is now free to continue hawking his new book and spreading his wisdom on current affairs at right-wing outlets such as Newsmax.

Newsmax host Steve Malzberg invited D’Souza on his program today to discuss President Obama’s response to the Ebola epidemic, specifically the president’s comments criticizing the widely-panned decisions in several states to quarantine asymptomatic healthcare providers returning from West Africa.

D’Souza said that while he senses that “there’s something very strange that’s kind of going on here,” he thinks that Obama “probably” isn’t trying to exact “anti-colonial revenge” by starting an Ebola epidemic in America, despite reports to that effect that he had seen on the internet.

“On the other hand,” D’Souza said, “I would be willing to say that here’s a guy that seeks to view things from the global point of view and he doesn’t seem to recognize his special responsibility to American citizens.”

“We elected him, he took an oath to protect and defend our interests. So, enough of this ‘President of the World’ nonsense, it’s time to start protecting American interests, Mr. President!”

William Gheen: Immigration Will 'Overthrow The American Republic'

William Gheen of the anti-immigrant Americans for Legal Immigration PAC appeared on Newsmax last week, where he declared that those who support immigration reform are either motivated by “simple greed” or want to “overthrow the American republic” by taking “the current stock of Americans” and replacing them with “a population that I guess is more agreeable to their political agendas or worldview.”

“You have an invasion that’s being conducted here by a lot of different actors who have a lot of different types of things to gain, from simple greed and increased profits for their companies and businesses, to others who see this as a way to overthrow the American republic, to take the current stock of Americans, throw us out of our jobs and homes and elections, and replace us with a population that I guess is more agreeable to their political agendas or worldview,” he said.

Steve King Stands By Remark On Gays And Heaven, Even Though It Was 'Fabricated' By People Who Are Going To Hell

In an interview with an Iowa newspaper this week, Rep. Steve King suggested that gay people as well as those who are divorced and cohabiting will have unfavorable prospects in the afterlife, saying, “I’ll just say that what was a sin 2,000 years ago is a sin today, and people that were condemned to hell 2,000 years ago, I don’t expect to meet them should I make it to Heaven.”

The comment was quickly picked up by outlets like Talking Points Memo and Salon, so when King visited the “Steve Malzberg Show” today, Malzberg gave him the opportunity to clarify his comments.

In response, King simultaneously stood by what he said and claimed that the story was “false” and had been “fabricated.”

“What I said was it’s between them and God. And I said what was a sin 2,000 years ago is a sin today. That was what I said. And I stand on what I said, and they’ve manufactured this,” he insisted.

He added a dig at the people who had reported the story: “So maybe I won’t meet the people who distort the truth in the next life either, and I’m going to do my best to get to Heaven.”

Judicial Watch's Farrell: Obama And Latino Groups 'Coordinated' Unaccompanied Minors Crisis

In an interview with Newsmax’s Steve Malzberg yesterday, Judicial Watch “investigator” Chris Farrell claimed that the crisis of unaccompanied Central American children fleeing to the southern U.S. border was a “manufactured crisis” that was “coordinated and prompted” by advocacy groups like the National Council of La Raza in concert with the Obama administration.

Citing the fact that the Obama administration had advance warning of the escalating humanitarian crisis, Farrell suggested that the administration in fact orchestrated it with the help of immigrants’ rights groups.

“My personal opinion is that this was all coordinated and prompted by groups like La Raza going down to Honduras and Guatemala and essentially organizing and promoting this,” he said.

“This wasn't just spontaneous combustion,” he continued. “This was an effort, a thought-out plan.”

Steve King Threatens Government Shutdown, Impeachment Over Immigration Executive Action

In an interview with Newsmax today, Rep. Steve King warned that an executive action by President Obama providing deportation relief for some undocumented immigrants living in the United States would perhaps irrevocably destroy “our constitutional republic” by turning the United States into a “lawless third-world nation” and Obama into a “king.”

“If the American people take that sitting down or lying down, then our constitutional republic has been destroyed to the point where putting it back together again in our lifetime looks to me like it’s a very difficult task,” he warned, adding that anti-immigrant demonstrators should “surround the White House” and “protest outside the gates of the president’s residence until he lets go of this unconstitutional action.”

The Iowa Republican added that if Obama were to take executive action, he would force a government shutdown and move to impeach the president.

“We know there is the ‘I-word’ in the Constitution that none of us want to say or act on but I would have never had said there will be no boots on the ground, so in this context, everything is on the table because our republic is on the table, our constitutional republic is on the table,” he said.

Mike Huckabee Blames Budget Problems On Americans' Lack Of Religion, 'Integrity On A Personal Level'

Mike Huckabee responded in a Newsmax interview today to new Pew findings showing that “a growing share of the American public wants religion to play a role in U.S. politics,” saying that the poll results “give me a great sense of comfort that America is coming to understand that it cannot explain its history apart from an understanding of the providence of God.”

Huckabee went on to explain how these poll results are very encouraging because all tax and spending issues stem back to a lack of “character and integrity” among the citizenry.

“I know this from being a governor ten and a half years, J.D.,” he told host J.D. Hayworth. “I looked at how many things in our budget were directly related to the fact that character and integrity had broken down in people. And I guarantee you that if you look through a state and federal budget, that a lot of the expenses that we have and therefore the taxes that we cough up to pay for it is because we have, really, a population that fails to connect integrity on a personal level and government on a broad and national level.”

He gave the example of a school dropout who goes on a drug-use and graffiti spree. “Well-behaved kids just don’t cost as much. Well-behaved adults don’t cost as much. It’s really very simple if you look at it. “

David Vitter Suggests Obama Lied About Terror Threat To Help With Election

In an interview with Newsmax’s J.D. Hayworth today, Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana suggested that the Obama administration lied about the terror threat posed by Khorasan Group — a group of al Qaeda operatives in Syria — in order to justify airstrikes and ultimately help Democrats in the upcoming election.

“Are you afraid the administration cries wolf once too often in these situations?” Hayworth asked.

“Yes, particularly right before an election,” Vitter responded.

Later in the interview, Vitter claimed that the administration is offering public benefits to undocumented immigrants in order to “increase illegal flow into the United States with the eventual goal of making them citizens and voters and everything else.”

Steve Stockman: Obama's 'Brute Force' Oppresses Conservatives

Rep. Steve Stockman said today that conservatives “pay a heavy toll” simply for making reasonable demands like “calling for the arrest of Lois Lerner,” warning in a Newsmax interview that Republicans are going up against a president keen on exercising “brute force” to oppress his opponents.

Oddly, Newsmax described the Texas congressman as “Sen. Steve Stockman.” Stockman did run for U.S. Senate, but lost badly in the GOP primary.

Ben Carson: To Know Obama, Read 'Mein Kampf'

In an interview with Newsmax host J.D. Hayworth today, Ben Carson said that if people want to know the truth about President Obama, they should simply “read ‘Mein Kampf’ and read the works of Vladimir Lenin.” “Mein Kampf,” of course, was written by Adolf Hitler and is filled with anti-Communist diatribes.

Carson, a likely Republican presidential candidate who is obsessed with the conspiracy-theory-laden book “The Naked Communist,” strongly hinted in the interview that he believes Obama is a communist.

Carson has previously claimed that Obama wants to turn America into Nazi Germany and a Gestapo-like state, warning that “we live in a Gestapo age.”

He also told Hayworth, a former Arizona Republican congressman, that Obama and other Democrats are using the uproar in Ferguson, Missouri, to “manipulate” people and “fan the flames of division.”

Carson said the fatal shooting of Michael Brown “has less to do with racism and a lot more to do with some deep cultural issues that are producing individuals who are likely to end up in trouble with the law, who are likely to end up in conflict with each other which will lead to violence and death.”

JD Hayworth Takes On GOP's Women Problem With Incomprehensible Speech About Marriage

Former Arizona Republican congressman J.D. Hayworth, who lost his primary challenge to Sen. John McCain in 2010, has since landed a job as an anchor for Newsmax, where he delivers the news and conducts interviews in a style eerily reminiscent of Parks and Recreation’s Perd Hapley.

Hayworth fully deployed this characteristic flare in an interview today with Kellyanne Conway, a GOP pollster, about a new poll showing that women view the Republican Party as “intolerant” and “stuck in the past.”

When Conway’s Skype connection cut out, Hayworth quipped that she was “frozen in time,” which prompted him to muse that that would be a great attack line for his political opponents.

Hayworth then launched into a barely comprehensible soliliquy about how Conway had changed her name when she married “because people marry and they take different names” and how “you can’t allow your marriage to be caricatured.”

All of which means that there is no gender gap. Or something:
