Liberty Counsel Promotes Column Suggesting Obama Is Pushing White People Out Of The Military, Bent On Martial Law

Liberty Counsel today on its Facebook page promoted an American Thinker column, Is Obama Creating a Martial-law-ready Military?, which claims that Obama is pushing out “white men” from the Armed Forces and instead “promoting minorities and women,” along with “homosexuals and lesbians.”

“The Obama administration has given affirmative action in the military a dose of steroids,” Selwyn Duke writes in order to reengineer the military into a force that is “more loyal to [Obama] than to the rule of law.”

What kind of leader wants a military more loyal to himself than to the rule of law?

And why?

These are two questions to ponder when considering the strange happenings in the armed forces since Barack Obama took office.

Let's start with a hypothetical. Let's say you were a hard-left-wing commander in chief who wanted the military firmly in your corner. You'd certainly note that our armed forces have been a bastion of conservatism and Christian faith, and you'd know that its members generally weren't very fond of you. So how would you go about changing this?

Some years ago I met a very young, all-American looking white fellow who had just exited the military. His reason was that he hadn't been advanced the way he believed he should have been, and he wasn't going to remain in the armed forces if it provided no future. Now, one interpretation here is that he was a millennial with an inflated opinion of himself (he didn't strike me that way, though). Yet there is another interpretation.

The Obama administration has given affirmative action in the military a dose of steroids, promoting minorities and women -- and, I believe, homosexuals and lesbians -- at the expense of white men. By the way, is this yet another reason why Obama wanted homosexuals to be able to serve openly? After all, you can't target them for special treatment if you don't know who they are.

But the point is this: if I were that hypothetical hard-left-wing leader, I'd know that one way to change the military's political climate is the same way you do it in the nation at large.

Demographic manipulation.

White men generally vote Republican, white military men even more so, and white military men who are practicing Christians, well, that's a recipe for a left-behind left. Minorities, women, atheists and the LGBT* crowd, however, are reliable liberal constituencies. So what would I do if I were that hard leftist?

I'd create a military climate friendly toward groups that are my constituencies and hostile toward those that aren't.

Whatever your conclusions, there is of course a mundane explanation for all of this. Leftists truly believe in their insane diversity dogma and quite reflexively try to socially re-engineer whatever they can sink their claws into, be they universities, neighborhoods, businesses or even the entities charged with protecting their compassionate selves. And in this age of increasing corruption and decadence, it wouldn't be surprising to find generals transgressing against military code. Yet given that Barack Obama is a shadowy figure with a penchant for hiding his past (college records, etc.); that he has had avowed communists in his administration (Van Jones, Anita Dunn); that he seemed to belong to Chicago's socialist New Party in the 1990s; and that, according to former Occidental College acquaintance and ex-Marxist John Drew, Obama was a flat-out "Marxist Leninist" who believed in old-style communist revolution, well, one's imagination can conjure up some interesting scenarios.

Conspiracy Theories for Breakfast at Values Voter Summit

Early this morning, before the official opening of the Values Voter Summit, the Religious Right legal and advocacy group Liberty Counsel hosted “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition,” a breakfast panel on threats to the Second Amendment.  On the menu: conspiracy theories about President Barack Obama and the United Nations plotting to disarm Americans, and rhetoric of resistance.

In addition to Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver, the speakers were the Family Research Council’s Ken Blackwell (also a board member of the National Rifle Association) and gun-rights advocate Jan Morgan, who also appeared at Liberty Counsel’s Awakening conference earlier this year.

Morgan portrayed a United Nations treaty meant to restrict the illegal international trade in weapons as a UN plot to take Americans’ guns (false), and the Obama administration’s decision to sign the treaty as an ominous step.  Blackwell portrayed the “assault” on the Second Amendment as an assault on the Constitution and on God himself, warning that nations that fall to tyranny or big-government socialism first must destroy the family, silence the church, and disarm their citizens.  The Obama administration, he said, thinks it has replaced God in people’s lives. Asked how Americans should respond to the signing of the treaty, he said, “resist, resist, resist.”

Morgan celebrated the Colorado recall of two state senators who had supported the state’s new gun law, and she praised southern governors who she said are looking to put the “Firearm Freedom Act” into law in their states, which would threaten the arrest and prosecution of federal agents who try to enforce federal gun regulations in their state. She ended with a dramatic call for conservatives to “pull ourselves out of this pity party” and channel the fighting spirit of the founding fathers.

Staver: DOMA Decision Is 'Contrary To The Natural Created Order Of God Almighty'

Last month, Mat Staver joined Rick Santorum, Rick Scarborough and others for a "Pastors For Virginia" conference and Liberty Counsel has now posted video of the remarks Staver delivered , during which he ranted against the Supreme Court for its recent decision on the Defense of Marriage Act.

Staver claimed that in making the decision, the Supreme Court ruled that anyone who supports traditional marriage is a bigoted and hateful enemy of humanity, and he is outraged: "I say to Justice Kennedy and the other four justices, and I say this strongly as an attorney who is also an officer of the court, how dare they say that those who believe in marriage are bigots and haters of humanity!"

Staver went on to compare the DOMA decision to the Dred Scott decision and Buck v. Bell because it is not reflective of "natural law, biblical law or commons sense; it is contrary to the natural created order of God almighty":

Barber: Anti-Gay Governors Put Obama 'Back In His Place'

On this week’s Faith & Freedom program, Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver and Matt Barber hailed as heroes four governors who resisted a federal directive and blocked marriage benefits for legally married gay and lesbian National Guard members.

“Clearly this president has displayed disdain for just about every amendment of the Constitution,” Barber said. “He believes that he’s a dictator.”

“I just wish there more governors that were courageous enough to put this man back in his place,” he added.

Liberty Counsel: LGBT History Classes Are 'Sexual Assault'

Liberty Counsel head Mat Staver released a statement today warning members that their kids may be in schools that are “celebrating LGBT History Month,” which he said will focus on “sex and murder.” Staver is especially upset that students may learn about Gwen Araujo, a seventeen-year-old transgender woman who was beaten to death by a group of men.

He said such lessons amount to “sexual assault on our children.”

Washington, DC - What are your kids studying in school today? Public schools from California to Florida are celebrating LGBT History Month, where they highlight a homosexual or lesbian each day. Today, America’s school children are learning about Edward-turned-Gwen Araujo, who was intimate with men who allegedly beat him when they discovered that he was not a woman.

“If parents think our school children should be focused on science and math, not sex and murder, they need to talk to teachers, principals, and school boards to ensure that this program is stopped,” cautions Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel.

“The sexual assault on our children is mind-boggling,” Staver says. Earlier this week, Mat Staver was in federal court in New Jersey challenging the new law that bans minors in the Garden State from receiving counseling to overcome unwanted same-sex sexual attractions, behavior, or identity. Liberty Counsel has already challenged a similar law in California. Washington, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia have introduced like measures that insert the government between the client and the counselor.

“Parents and concerned citizens must stand up to protect our children,” says Staver. “Enough is enough! The innocence of our children is under assault in the public schools. Parents and concerned citizens must stand up and demand that public schools focus on the essentials of learning and not become vehicles of a sexualized agenda.”

Liberty Counsel is an international nonprofit, litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family since 1989, by providing pro bono assistance and representation on these and related topics.

Ex-Gay Pride Hide And Seek

How do you raise “awareness” in total secrecy?

The “Ex-Gay” community loves to complain that LGBT acivists, the media, and public officials ignore their existence. They portray themselves as martyrs to political correctness.  And they’re tired of it! So this year, they decided to make a big splash.

Unfortunately, plans for an “Ex-Gay Pride Month” in July imploded: a rally expected to draw “tens of thousands” drew fewer than a dozen.  A dinner celebration planned for the Family Research Council building was postponed with vague explanations about security concerns.

Organizers – including Voice of the Voiceless, Equality and Justice for Fall, and PFOX – regrouped and declared September to be “Ex-Gay Awareness Month.”  The culmination of the month is supposed to be this coming Monday’s “First Annual Ex-Gay Awareness Month Dinner and Reception.” Organizers have lined up anti-gay activist Harry Jackson to give the keynote address, and Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver – whose anti-gay credentials are unquestionable – to receive the “2013 Ex-Gay Pride Freedom Award.”  Also set to be honored is a “former Satanic drag queen,” Trace McNutt.

What is not clear is how the event will raise the “awareness” of anyone except the attendees.  The event is being held at a secret location. Organizers asserted their right to exclude anyone who they didn’t think was already completely signed on to their agenda.  My payment was returned without explanation. When I sent a note asking if my registration had been rejected, I received a one-word reply: Yes.

As I told PFOX, I had no intention of being a disruptive presence. I just wanted to hear and report on what was said. You know, bring some awareness to the event. But then I took another look at the registration form and found this disclaimer:

Code of Conduct -- PFOX requires attendees to sign and adhere to certain standards of conduct, and is not responsible for the individual conduct of attendees. We reserve the right to refuse any person to register or attend for any or no reason at our sole discretion, and disruptive conduct will be grounds for removal without a refund. Attendee agrees to uphold the principals [sic] and beliefs of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays -- that we support the ex-gay community, ex-gay rights, and providing hope to those with unwanted same-sex attractions and gender confusion that change is possible. No cell phones, recording devices or photos may be used or taken during the event. I agree to the above conditions

No photos. No recording. No one who doesn’t already agree with them. They must be bursting with pride.

LaBarbera: 'It's Almost As If Homosexual Sodomy Was Created To Spread Disease'

Peter LaBarbera closed out his week co-hosting Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio program with Matt Barber pretty much exactly as you would expect, continuing his attacks on gays and railing against the "sin of Sodom."

Saying that gay activists desperately "want approval for their lifestyle," LaBarbera was outraged that they are now using the government to "encourage and celebrate sin," so much so that "now they want to attach the sin of Sodom to marriage."

Approvingly quoting another anti-gay activist, LaBarbera declared that "it's almost as if homosexual sodomy was created to spread disease; that's how dangerous and unnatural this lifestyle is."

"When a nation embraces such confusion and such evil," LaBarbera warned, "it is on a moral decline":

Barber: Every Gay Person Knows 'What They Are Doing Is Immoral, Unnatural, & Self-Destructive'

Peter LaBarbera returned to Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio program today where, once again, he and Matt Barber spent ten minutes denigrating gays as people who know, deep down, that their lives are immoral and shameful.

"God has written his laws on the hearts of every man, woman, and child," Barber said. "Every individual engaged in the homosexual lifestyle, who has adopted a homosexual identity, they know intuitively that what they are doing is immoral, unnatural, and self-destructive. Yet they thirst for that affirmation because they've tied their whole identity up in this sexual perversion."

LaBarbera agreed, saying that media outlets like Fox News need to start covering the stories of "ex-gays" like Charlene Cothran "who was a famous lesbian activist, who basically her mother and friends were praying for her and one day she was at a black gay pride event in Chicago, of all places, and she looked out and she had a tremendous sense of shame. That came from God!"

Barber & LaBarbera: 'Every Major Institution Is Being Corrupted By The Homosexual Agenda'

Peter LaBarbera was the guest on Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio program again today where he and Matt Barber praised Trail Life USA, the new scouting organization explicitly created as an anti-gay alternative to the Boy Scouts.

LaBarbera said that the Boy Scouts have "sold their soul to the devil" and called for the creation of anti-gay alternatives to organizations "on all fronts" because "every major institution is being corrupted by the homosexual agenda."

LaBarbera said there ought to be anti-gay versions of organizations such as the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association and the like because gay activist are taking them over and forcing people to approve of their behavior in order to "soothe their own conscience."

Barber agreed, saying that progressives are just modern-day pagans and comparing gay activists to a "swarm of locusts" who attack "anything noble" in an effort to destroy it and leave nothing but a dried husk:

Barber: The NALT Christians Project Is 'Apostasy'

Inspired by the success of Dan Savage's "It Gets Better" project, a few weeks ago John Shore and Truth Wins Out launched the Not All Like That (NALT) Christians Project, which is designed to "give LGBT-affirming Christians a means of proclaiming to the world—and especially to young gay people—their belief and conviction that there is nothing anti-biblical or at all inherently sinful about being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender."

Given that mission, it comes as no surprise that Matt Barber and Peter LaBarbera, who are exactly the sort of people that participants in NALT are proclaiming that not all Christians are like, are unhappy about the project, with Barber declaring that he won't stand for being lectured to about Christianity by someone like Savage, who is "one of the most hateful and vile human beings on the planet."

"This is comical," Barber said. "This is laughable.  To have vile, anti-Christian bigots who are pushing a radical, dangerous sexual anarchist agenda presuming to lecture Christians and have people - self-identified Christians, liberal so-called Christians - upload videos about how they support something that God calls an abomination, there's no other word for it, it's apostasy when you have self-described Christians do it.  It is par for the course when you have those who hate God, people like Dan Savage doing it":

Staver: God Will Not Bless America If Abortion Remains Legal

Outraged by a video of pro-choice activists and two Democratic candidates for governor in Iowa praying for continued access to safe and legal abortion facilities, Mat Staver and Matt Barber asserted that they were not praying to Jesus, but actually to Satan and warned that the participants were putting both this nation and their eternal souls at risk.

Staver compared the United States to Nazi Germany, declaring that "if we continue to go down this path, God will not continue to bless this nation.  How can God continue to bless this nation any more than God could have continued to bless Hitler when he was gassing and destroying and experimenting on all the millions of people and the Jews and others during his atrocities?"

For his part, Barber was not only "shocked" by such a prayer, but also has "a sense of fear for these individuals that they would dare take God's name in vain to pray for the blessings of abortion; we need to pray for their immortal souls"

Barber: The 'Pagan' Obama Administration Is Discriminating Against Christians

Claiming that the Alabama Air National Guard is now denying tours to church youth groups (an assertion for which we were able to find any documented reporting or supporting evidence), Mat Staver and Matt Barber said that the Obama Administration is discriminating against Christians because it holds a "pagan worldview."

As Barber explained, the Obama administration is the "modern-day equivalent" of ancient Rome, demanding that citizens must worship Caesar in the form of progressiveism.

"It's the same thing; it's pagan sexual morality," Barber said. "It's a pagan view of the world that is a secularist view of the world that is inherently hostile toward not just any religion but particularly Christianity"

Right Wing Leftovers - 9/11/13

  • Liberty Counsel is launching a "Liberty Prayer Network."
  • National Review is going to sue Cory Booker.
  • Russell Moore is telling Christians conservatives that "we can no longer pretend we are a moral majority in this country."
  • It is not much of a surprise to see that FRC is jumping on the anti-Common Core bandwagon.
  • Finally, Rep. Doug Lamborn once against joined anti-gay, demon-obsessed exorcist Gordon Klingenschmitt on his program today.

Liberty Counsel: Public Schools Have 'Become Some Of The Most Dangerous Places In America'

In last month’s edition of The Liberator [PDF], Liberty Counsel president Anita Staver blasted public school as “dangerous, anti-God indoctrination camps” that “threaten our nation’s very survival.” Pleading with parents to homeschool their children in a column titled “Stealth Creation of Government Indoctrination Camps Underway,” Staver lamented that “millions of helpless people are taken there on busses to be brainwashed and victimized” in “repressive” schools controlled by “secularists, humanists, and socialists.”

“Public schools have indeed, become some of the most dangerous places in America,” she writes. “We cannot stick our head in the sand while our nation’s children are held hostage in government indoctrination camps.”

“Resist the godless, socialist indoctrination before it’s too late!”

Most Americans are blissfully unaware that dangerous, anti-God indoctrination camps have been opened in every state in our nation!

A further outrage: You and I are being forced to support these socialist camps that threaten our nation’s very survival.

Under the guise of bringing positive reform, these camps are undermining the American way of life. Every day, millions of helpless people are taken there on busses to be brainwashed and victimized. In fact, our government has created an entire bureaucracy dedicated to advancing these repressive institutions.

You probably even have relatives or friends who are mandated to live in these camps for countless hours of the most impressionable and formative years of their lives. Of course, these government indoctrination camps are also known as “public schools.”

Public schools have indeed, become some of the most dangerous places in America, not just because of potential violence, but due to humanists with revisionist textbooks espousing anti-God lies to throngs of unsuspecting indoctrinees.

Although public schools were started to spread and affirm Christian morals and the Bible, government schools have become hostile places for God’s Word. The tragic fact is that the lack of morals in our public school classrooms is endangering our nation’s future.

These days, when parental authority is overruled by bureaucrats and activist judges, leaving parents as mere caretakers, Christians need to heed the warnings and take control of the public schools while they still can. And while we are working on school reform, we need to be sure our own children do not fall victim to the brainwashing.

I believe that many Christians will need to ask God’s forgiveness for neglecting His most precious gift: our nation’s children. And while we are training up our own children, we must also take the public schools back from the secularists, humanists, and socialists who have gained a stranglehold on their curricula. Even if we do not have children or grandchildren in the government controlled school systems, we must be deeply concerned about those who will someday govern our nation.

We cannot stick our head in the sand while our nation’s children are held hostage in government indoctrination camps. We dare not leave our most precious resource – our children – to the humanists. Secularization has deeply infected many school systems nationwide, spurred on by anti -Christian groups like the ACLU, People for the American Way, Freedom From Religion Foundation, and other radical groups that systematically coerce administrators into kicking God out the door.

The threat posed to our constitutional republic by socialist indoctrination in government school systems is very real and very present. But the good news is that Liberty Counsel and other pro-liberty groups are standing up against this subversion and are winning the battles! Join with us for the sake of our children and grandchildren. Resist the godless, socialist indoctrination before it’s too late!

Barber: Justice Ginsburg Has Brought 'Shame To America' By Officiating A Same-Sex Marriage Ceremony

Earlier this month, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg became the first Supreme Court justice to officiate a same-sex marriage ceremony and the professional anti-gay bigots over at Liberty Counsel are predictably disgusted.

Matt Barber and Daniel Schmid were deeply disturbed by Ginsburg's participation in a gay wedding, with Barber saying that she had brought "shame to America" by doing so while Schmid said that it proved that the nation was "galloping full speed ahead toward" Gomorrah.

Insisting that no level of government had the right to define the institution of marriage as anything other than what God intended, Schmid said it was a shame that a member of the Supreme Court "would lend credence to such a ceremony and such an abomination," as Barber urged viewers to pray because recognition of gay marriage "essentially results in the criminalization of Christianity":

Wildmon: 'This Is A Culture In Rebellion To God'

Mat Staver was on AFA's "Today's Issues" broadcast this morning discussing Liberty Counsel's on-going legal battles against legislation banning the use of "ex-gay" reparative therapy on minors in states like California and New Jersey.

AFA President Tim Wildmon was particularly mystified by the legislation, saying there is a move toward "promoting transgenderedism" in America and asking Staver if therapists who are prohibited from using "ex-gay" therapy on minors are still allowed to help people transition from one sex to another.

"Believe it or not, you can," answered Staver, which prompted Wildmon to respond with disbelief that "you can help people as long as they want to move to deviancy" and declare that "this is a culture in rebellion to God":

Barber & Akers: Christians Are Now The Victims Of Don't Ask, Don't Tell

Senior Master Sgt. Phillip Monk has become the Religious Right's latest cause célèbre after he was supposedly relieved of duty for opposing gay marriage, which Matt Barber and Shawn Akers see as a sign that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is still in effect in the military, only now it is being applied to Christians.

"In just a few short years," Akers said we've reached "a place where it very well seems safest not to mention your Christianity; we may have very well entered a time of Don't Ask, Don't Tell Christianity within the United States military."

Barber agreed, saying that "like a hordes of locusts," progressives are out to destroy "every noble institution that adheres to traditional values and righteousness and upholds Biblical principles ... It's sad what's happening to America now, folks":

'Clownish': Staver and Barber Outraged By 'The Transgender Traitor,' Chelsea Manning

Shortly after Bradley Manning was convicted of leaking classified information and sentenced to prison, it was announced that the former Army Intelligence Analyst would transition, undergo hormone therapy, and live as a woman named Chelsea.

Predictably, this is not sitting well with Mat Staver or Matt Barber, who cannot believe that this "transgender traitor" is being taken seriously.

Barber declared that any movement is only as strong as its weakest link and "the weakest link in that big, long LGBTQAAALMNOP ... alphabet soup of the absurd, the 'T' for transgender is the weakest link because it is so far removed and detached from reality ... that it is clownish."

Staver agreed, saying that the next time an airline tried to charge an overweight passenger for a second seat, that person should just argue that "I'm a skinny man trapped in an obese man's body":

Staver: Requiring Photographer to Shoot Same-Sex Wedding Like Forcing Her to Photograph KKK Rally

Not allowing a wedding photographer to discriminate against same-sex couples is the equivalent to requiring  her to photograph a KKK rally, according to Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver.

In an interview with WorldNetDaily this weekend, Staver took on the New Mexico Supreme Court’s recent decision that a wedding photographer’s refusal to provide her services to a same-sex couple violated a state nondiscrimination law.

Staver argued that the photographer saying that she would photograph gay people, but not in a wedding ceremony, was like her saying that she would photograph white people, but not at a KKK rally.

Staver warned that the decision meant that lawsuits against pastors “right around the corner.”

WND: There’s already fears out there, some churches already putting together certain policy statements, some probably putting together legal funds already in the expectation that there will be a lawsuit over either certain preaching from scripture that adheres to traditional sexual relations or refusing to perform a same-sex ceremony. How soon do you think that’ll hit the fan?

Staver: I think it’s pretty quick. I think it’s right around the corner. I think we saw the decision last week of the Supreme Court of New Mexico saying to a wedding photographer, you’ve gotta give up your religious freedom if you want to be a wedding photographer, you’ve gotta be forced to photograph same-sex ceremonies. I mean, that’s just as absurd as saying you gotta be forced to photograph KKK rallies. You know, someone who says, I’ll photograph white people, I just won’t photograph it when you’re gathering in an event with hoods on your face and you have a KKK rally.

But here, this lady says, well I’ll photograph anybody but I’m not going to photograph a same-sex commitment ceremony, and this court says well, you have to, you must, notwithstanding your religious convictions. Either give up your religious convictions or change them or get out of that profession. That’s the zero-sum game, that’s the zero-sum collision that we’re now facing.

Barber: The African American Community Is Sick Of Gay Activists Trying To Ride The 'Civil Rights Gravy Train'

Mat Staver and Matt Barber are continuing the Religious Right's crusade against a proposed anti-discrimination ordinance in San Antonio, Texas on their "Faith and Freedom" radio program, where Barber declared that such an ordinance is not even necessary because gays are hardly, if ever, discriminated against.

Saying that gay activists are "probably the most powerful lobby in the world," Barber claimed that anti-gay discrimination is rare because people "bend over backwards to avoid being accused of homophobia or discrimination" before going on to assert that "the African American community at large, the vast majority are sick and tired of this sexual anarchist lobby attaching their little red wagon to the civil rights gravy train":

As Valentine’s Day approaches, the conservative activists at Liberty Counsel are once again promoting the competing “Day of Purity,” an opportunity for those “who strive for sexual purity an opportunity to stand together in opposition to a culture of moral decline.” Liberty Counsel’s previous attempt to make the Day of Purity cool for kids, a video featuring “Purity Bear,” has unfortunately been removed from YouTube following widespread Internet mockery (but can still be found on Vimeo). On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Matt Barber and Mat Staver discussed a recent report from Open Doors USA that found that most anti-Christian persecution happening around the world is occurring in Muslim nations. Barber, of course, used this as an excuse to trot out the standard Religious Right claim that liberals and Muslims are both persecuting Christians at home and abroad because both groups hate God's truth. On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Matt Barber and Mat Staver asserted that President Obama was siding with terrorist Muslim nations against Israel and intentionally weakening the United States because he hates America. Bizarrely, Barber criticized Obama for cozying up to nations that "attack ... homosexuals," which is a bid odd given that Barber openly advocates for the passage of anti-gay laws here in America while Staver, who is part of a new effort to increase civility, has no qualms about declaring that Obama simply doesn't like America: Barber... As Peter noted in his post earlier today, it is a little difficult to take seriously the new Imago Dei campaign aimed at softening the Religious Right's bigoted, extremist language considering that someone like Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver is one of the leaders of this effort. Religious Right activists often claim that they will never be silent about “Nazi” abortion rights …that is, unless those rights exist in Israel.
