Anti-Gay Pundits Predict Marriage Equality Will Lead To Government Taking Children From Christian Parents

In a discussion yesterday on American Family Radio’s “Sandy Rios in the Morning,” Rios and anti-gay pastor Erwin Lutzer warned that marriage equality will turn American into the Soviet Union as children in public schools who embrace “sexual confusion” will become informants on their parents who will eventually be carted off by the government.

Lutzer argued that with the rise of gay rights, children are “being indoctrinated in ways” equivalent to “Russia of years ago.” Because of this, “parents need to take that responsibility” to overcome “huge barriers” and “ultimate destruction” as “these children are gonna take their own sexual confusion into their families and into their relationships and it’s just going to exponentially multiply. The challenge is absolutely huge.”

“It is huge,” agreed Rios. The prospect of sexual confusion also reminded Rios of “the old Soviet Union,” where children were “indoctrinated all day at school and then they go home and their parents can only whisper their true beliefs to the kids. And then the kids were asked to tattle, to report their parents if they were teaching anything other than what the state was teaching. And so, parental influence dwindled.” Fearing this Orwellian future for America, Rios warned that after the breakup of the Soviet Union, “the only reason people still knew about God was because their grandmothers had told them about God.”

“We’re going to be at war with our government and with culture around us,” Rios continued, “and our children are going to be so delusional – they already are – in culture that it’s going to create a huge line between us and our children. And it’s gonna be tough, tough.”

Arguing for the need for private schooling and homeschooling, Lutzer claimed public schools “are going to be deliberately so confused on this issue that it would be impossible, really, for a Christian child to go through a school without being infected by the terrible teachings that that child is going to receive.”

Recalling an article he had read years ago, Lutzer discussed the existence of “intolerant personality disorder,” and argued that “it’s not beyond reason to think that the time will come when parents that homeschool children, religious parents, will be diagnosed as culturally intolerant and personality intolerant. And therefore, as a result, their children will be taken away from them.”

Rios thought this was “certainly within the realm of possibility” because “we already know that this has been happening for a long time” with diversity training for corporate employees or, as she called them, “reeducation camps.”

“God is bringing judgement to the nation and ushering about the end of all things, really,” Rios concluded.

Sandy Rios 'Grieved To The Bone' That Gay Pundit May Destroy The Conservative Movement

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, spoke to American Family Association’s Sandy Rios on her talk show “Sandy Rios in the Morning” this week about the danger of growing support for gay rights within the conservative movement.

Rios began the segment by discussing her concern regarding Guy Benson, a conservative commentator for the Salem Media Group-owned Townhall.com who recently came out as gay in a footnote to his new book, End of Discussion, coauthored by Mary Katharine Ham. Rios is not the only AFA affiliate to speak out against Benson, as American Family Radio’s Bryan Fischer also issued a statement calling for Benson’s replacement. Rios played a clip in which Megyn Kelly of Fox News tells Guy Benson on her show, “You are in a safe place here.”

Rios, who hired Benson to be the producer of her previous radio program, responded to Benson’s announcement by sharing that “when he came out last week it was a great shock to me, and very sad, very sad.” For Rios, “it’s not just a matter of Guy coming out; it’s that they’re coming out endorsing gay marriage. That’s not the main part of their book but it’s, it’s a huge part of their book. They’re both mainstream conservative voices.” Rios warned that “even though Guy smiles and is very sweet, I fear for the repercussions of this.”

“Guy Benson’s professed homosexuality is not a mere footnote, Sandy,” LaBarbera added. “And that’s the temptation of the new, I guess I’d call it soulless, conservatism.” LaBarbera explained that identifying as a gay Christian “makes no more sense, Sandy, than someone being a so-called porn-using Christian, or substitute any other sexual sin, and that doesn’t make a positive identity.”

“And yet,” bemoaned LaBarbera, “look what Megyn Kelly says. She says ‘you’re so brave.’ Why is it brave? You can tell there’s an approving tone when you watch the interview. It’s just bizarre that we’ve come to this point that somebody professes homosexuality and a quote ‘gay’ identity, which puts a really sort of nice face on it, is brave and that’s a sign of being honest, when actually it’s merely publicly embracing a sin.”

Rios, seemingly personally offended by Kelly’s “safe place” remark, responded, “Where did that, I mean, what could have been unsafe? I mean, Guy worked with me for years, and he’s still, he may not be happy with me discussing this publicly, but he would not be surprised, and certainly when he was working with me he was in a safe place. My love for him has not changed, but I am grieved to the bone, that he is, that this is an issue in his life.”

Rios added that she felt compelled to speak because, from her perspective, Benson’s coming out will have “detrimental, terribly detrimental effects on what it means to be a Christian conservative because it muddies the lines. And it’s also, if Salem does not care about this, Salem the Christian communications company, and if Heritage, who is fighting gay marriage, doesn’t care that they’re premiering a book that, you know, the authors, Mary Kathrine Ham has her own big following, are supportive of gay marriage, the lines are just being erased.”

Rios, still reeling from her grief, said, “Surely he must know that if the Supreme Court comes out and legalizes gay marriage all over the country people will be breaking the law if they oppose it in any way. So, uh, the normally clear-thinking guy is not thinking clearly, and neither is Megyn.”

“Yeah. I agree with you,” LaBarbera responded. “He also came out for nondiscrimination laws in the BuzzFeed article and those laws have been the basis for the persecution of people who oppose homosexuality.”

Comparing Benson with the “small number of openly homosexual people” who are against marriage equality, LaBarbera said that by embracing LGBT equality, Benson has joined a “radical” and “revolutionary” movement that “is all about normalizing homosexuality.”

“He says he’s standing on the shoulders of gay activists,” LaBarbera said, “and when I saw that I was like, ‘Well, which ones?’ Are you standing on the shoulders of the 1970s gay activists who scream in politicians’ faces? What about the homosexuals who will harass people, harass the psychologists to have them supposedly normalize homosexuality in the APA, the American Psychiatric Association, the direct-action homosexuals who use far-left techniques? I know he said he’s not with the far left, but, I mean Sandy, this is a movement that is all about normalizing homosexuality. That was a radical, a revolutionary goal. So which homosexual activist is Guy Benson standing on? That’s kind of troubling to me.”

Sandy Rios: Caitlyn Jenner's Transition Is A 'Tragedy,' The 'Saddest Story'

Sandy Rios, the far-right host of American Family Radio’s “Sandy Rios in the Morning,” is unhappy with people expressing their happiness for Caitlyn Jenner. In fact, Rios laments that Jenner’s gender transition is “a human tragedy” and “probably one of the saddest stories on the news sites this week.”

Rios warned her listeners this morning that they would “see today, if you haven’t already, that the cover of Vanity Fair is the new Bruce Jenner, calling himself Caitlyn Jenner. It’s, uh, a photo spread done by Annie Leibovitz, who’s a very famous photographer.”

This sentiment, as well as the inability to use the correct pronouns, was echoed by evangelist Franklin Graham, who took to Facebook today to critique Vanity Fair’s coverage of Jenner, claiming that “the author talks as if Bruce and his newly chosen identity of ‘Caitlyn’ are two separate people. Bruce’s son Burt said, ‘I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce.’ The article also says Jenner openly acknowledges mistakes made with his children as Bruce, ‘and expresses genuine regret.’”

But Graham has “news for them,” insisting that “changing the outside doesn’t change the inside. No man-made modification can fix what’s wrong with the heart. Only God can fix the human heart. If we ask for His forgiveness and accept by faith His Son, Jesus Christ, He will wipe the slate clean. The Bible says, ‘Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new’ (2 Corinthians 5:17).”

Paranoia-Rama: The Rapture, Jade Helm 15, And Gay Bashing Are Back and Racism Is The Fault Of Darwin

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

This week, the far-right still cannot let go of Jade Helm 15, the ever looming rapture, the true origin of racism, and a children’s movie gets political.

5. Belief In Evolution Causes Racism

We have found the culprit for racism, and his name is Charles Darwin.

Alex McFarlan, host of an American Family Radio program, recently appeared on TheDove TV to explain to those who trust the lies of science that belief in evolution is the root cause of racism in America today. Because the Bible teaches that the only race is the human race, it logically follows that racist individuals are getting those ideas elsewhere, McFarlane explained. “Evolution,” he said, “for about 75 years, has had a stranglehold on American education, and so the number one reason for racism is belief in evolution.”

McFarlan, apparently forgetting such things as the history of slavery in America, claimed that the Founding Fathers clearly knew all men are created equal and blamed “150 years of Darwinian evolution” for ruining this core American principle.

4. The ‘Lego Movie’ Is ‘Insidious’ Propaganda Against Business Owners

Apparently, a concerted leftist propaganda effort has shifted cultural attitudes toward believing that “government is good and business is bad,” and Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., is not going to stand for it.

The latest evidence for this effort is, according to Johnson, “The Lego Movie,” in which a Lego businessman is a bad guy attempting to destroy the Lego world for profit. But don’t let yourself think this is any innocent children’s film. According to Johnson, “That’s done for a reason. They’re starting that propaganda, and it’s insidious.”

Johnson continues with a heart-wrenching story of some leftist indoctrination of children he heard about while fundraising. He apparently “called a gentleman, it was a couple months ago, he was so upset, he took his children to an animated movie, six-andseven-year-old children, to an animated movie – and guess who the villain was? Evil Mr. Businessperson. It’s insidious. That propaganda starts very early.”

After a number of media outlets reported on Johnson's comments, he responded that he was surprised that people had “never encountered the idea before.”

3. Jade Helm 15 Evolves

The anti-government militia group Oath Keepers published an article on its website this week that offers a fresh take on the Jade Helm 15 conspiracy theory. The U.S. government, argues AltMarket.com journalist Brandon Smith, created ISIS in order to manufacture a threat that will allow them to impose martial law.

Smith argues that “the organization known as ISIS has long been a collaborative creation of the U.S. government and its allies,” which will at some point attack the U.S., giving the government a “rationale” for imposing martial law, which they are preparing for with Jade Helm 15:

With at least 45% of Americans concerned that open domestic military exercises are a precursor to greater federal control over states and more than 62% convinced that government power is suffocating individual liberty, it is only a matter of time before the government spin doctors create a semi-believable rationale for such endeavors as Jade Helm. I believe that ISIS could be their perfect rationale.

As public concern is amplified and evidence indicating that the Department of Defense is lying about the purpose of JH15 is more widely recognized, the DOD may very well admit that the operation is not for training in foreign theaters. Rather, they may argue that JH15 is in fact training designed to protect Americans on American soil from widespread terrorist threats. That is to say, the new spin will be that Jade Helm is meant to save us all from the psychopathic child killing cannibal monstrosity known as ISIS.

Smith notes that this is all very similar to the plot of the 1985 Chuck Norris movie “Invasion U.S.A.”

2. The Rapture Is Near (Again)

The Rapture is here (again), and according to anti-gay Religious Right commentator Larry Tomczak it will look strikingly similar to the new blockbuster disaster film “San Andreas”.

Tomczak explains that “San Andreas” acts as a prophetic warning of the End Times, and is only a small portion of what humanity should expect to experience soon.

“Jesus gave warning also about pestilence and diseases," Timczak says. "Think about airborne Ebola and the porous southern border. Is it going to take another stock market crash, global economic collapse? All of these things are present day realities. Do we see the handwriting on the wall that we are at an apocalyptic unprecedented tipping point?”

Apparently this knowledge comes straight from the Bible. Tomczak adds that "the Book of Revelation, in chapter 9, says there will be a cataclysmic event that will kill a third of mankind. Now Jesus Christ predicted fearful events, a time of punishment, men's hearts failing them with fear and maybe believe 9/11 was our wake up call, but we've hit the snooze alarm." For Tomczak, "we need to awaken to the reality that America has forgotten God. We've drifted and it's time to turn back to him. The clock is ticking."

Tomczak is not alone in thinking this, as last Friday Anne Graham Lotz appeared on CBN to discuss her courageous efforts to save America from God’s judgement. Lotz explained that terrorism, natural disasters, economic problems, and social unrest are all warning signs from God that the return of Jesus Christ will happen within her lifetime.

Lotz, like Tomczak, believes, “with deep conviction, that it's my generation, I believe that in my lifetime, if I live out my lifetime, a natural lifetime, I believe I will live to see the return of Jesus in the Rapture when he comes back to take us to be with himself. Which means, preceding that, there are going to be some signs, there are going to be some warnings".

These signs will look much like the movie “San Andreas,” so beware.

1. Texas Flooding Due To Flood Of Gays

Texas is flooding. And Bryan Fischer knows where the blame lies: with those who are bringing “witchcraft and sodomy” into the state. Fischer agreed with a caller on his radio program yesterday who said that the only parts of Texas that are underwater are the parts “that are overrun with witchcraft and sodomy,” such as Houston, which has a “sodomite mayor.”

The caller claimed, "If God is judging Texas, it's because of the witchcraft and sodomy that we've allowed to run rampant,” and Fischer agreed that that was a very plausible explanation.

"If you're going to attribute the flooding in Texas to some kind of supernatural cause, you can make a geographical connection between the flooding and the practice of the occult and witchcraft and the embrace of homosexuality,” he said. “That's where the disaster is being felt the worse.” Just like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, which was also a localized natural disaster that "just wiped out those two cities where homosexuality had been embraced.”

So, “if you're going to make a case that there is some supernatural origin to this natural disaster that would probably be the place to look."

Religious Right Groups Warn Gay Boy Scout Leaders Will Sexually Molest And Recruit Boys Into Homosexuality

Even as the Religious Right’s favorite reality TV family is rocked by a sexual abuse scandal, the American Family Association is urging its members to pull their sons from the Boy Scouts out of fear that gay troop leaders will sexually molest them and recruit them into homosexuality.

Former AFA official Bryan Fischer, who hosts a daily program on the organization’s radio network, called Boy Scouts head Robert Gates’ support for admitting gay troop leaders “a disaster, a moral catastrophe.” If gay men are allowed to lead Boy Scout troops, he said, “It’s no longer going to be Boy Scouts of America, it’s going to be Gay Pedophiles Scouting For Boys”:

The AFA’s Randy Sharp told the organization’s OneNewsNow news outlet today that lifting the ban on gay troop leaders would present a “clear and present danger” to boys and that there for parents should “immediately remove their sons” from the organization:

He was hinting at a policy revision to allow open homosexuals to act as leaders and mentors to scouts.

Randy Sharp, director of Special Projects at the American Family Association, says the Boy Scouts are playing with a "clear and present danger" and parents should be aware.

"We would urge all parents to immediately remove their sons from the Boy Scouts of America," Sharp, speaking for the pro-family group, tells OneNewsNow.

He says homosexual leaders are poised to influence boys about their sexuality and their presence subjects boys to opportunities for sexual abuse by their trusted leaders.

John Stemberger, head of the rival organization Trail Life USA, similarly warned that such a “tragic” move by the Boy Scouts would endanger “the safety and security of its boys” and even allow “the homosexual agenda to infiltrate the church”:

John Stemberger, chairman of the board for Trail Life USA, said in a statement that Trail Life is "saddened" by the Boy Scouts' announcement.

"It is tragic that the BSA is willing to risk the safety and security of its boys because of peer pressure from activist groups," he said.

Many churches that sponsored Boy Scout troops also dropped their support and Sharp says Gates' announcement is an "opportunity for the homosexual agenda to infiltrate the church."

Meanwhile anti-gay activist Michael Brown told WorldNetDaily that allowing gay Boy Scout leaders not only “opens the door for sexual predators,” it also “opens the door for gay boys to be flirting with straight boys under the auspices of the Boy Scouts’:

Michael Brown, who holds a Ph.D. from New York University and has researched and written a number of books on homosexuality, says he is not surprised by the Scouts.

“I said from the start that gay activists would not stop at having openly homosexual boys in the Boy Scouts, but now it’s openly homosexual leaders.”

Brown, whose books include “Can You Be Gay and Christian?” and the upcoming “Outlasting the Gay Revolution: Where Homosexual Activism Is Really Going and How to Turn the Tide,” believes if the Boy Scouts accept openly homosexual leaders, they will cease to be a positive moral force in the lives of American boys.

“This sets a wrong role model for these kids,” Brown told WND.

Yet, Brown says parents should have further concerns.

“This opens the door for sexual predators, a real danger, and it opens the door for gay boys to be flirting with straight boys under the auspices of the Boy Scouts,” he said.

Americans for Truth About Homosexuality’s Peter LaBarbera, for his part, told OneNewsNow that by allowing gay leaders, the Boy Scouts would “promote the acceptance of sexual perversion”:

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality says the presence of open homosexuals will destroy the scouting organization.

"Because you cannot be a wholesome organization and promote the acceptance of sexual perversion at the same time," he warns.

As Brian wrote earlier today, evangelist Franklin Graham has warned that the move “would put young, innocent boys at risk,” while conservative author Paul Kengor said that a lack of “courage” from the Boy

Bryan Fischer: Homosexuality Causes Blindness

On his radio program yesterday, Bryan Fischer responded to reports of ocular syphilis cases among gay men in California by declaring that homosexuality is now turning people blind. This led Fischer to promote the myth that immigrants are bringing measles and polio-like illnesses into the U.S and to claim that immigrants and gay people are bringing back diseases once thought to be eradicated.

Fischer eventually connected the health story back to a popular slogan used to protest racial discrimination: “All we’ve heard over the last number of months is ‘black lives matter,’ ‘black lives matter,’ ‘black lives matter.’ I agree, black lives matter. If you’ve got a behavior, you’ve got a conduct, you’ve got a lifestyle that is resulting in potentially blinding health risks for black males and their risk is five times higher than white males, I would say if black lives matter, it is time we started doing something about that.”

Fischer, who supports criminalizing homosexuality, said that by “warning homosexuals of the consequences of homosexual behavior,” he is showing them far more love “than those who are urging them to engage in conduct, celebrating conduct, promoting conduct, providing special privileges on the basis of conduct that can leave its practitioners both blind and dead.”

Frank Gaffney: 'How Could This President Love America' When He Was 'Marinated' In A 'Deep Hatred' For It

The Center for Security Policy’s Frank Gaffney stopped by the American Family Radio at the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville this week to discuss Rudy Giuliani’s recent comment that President Obama doesn’t “love America.”

Gaffney naturally agreed with Giuliani, contending that while Obama might not have a “deep hatred” for America, it is literally impossible for him to love the country.

“How could this president love America?” Gaffney asked AFA president Tim Wildmon. “How could he, given that he grew up in his formative years in an Indonesian madrassa, an Islamist school, he came to this country and sat at the knee of an avowed communist by the name of Frank Marshall Davis, he spent formative years in Chicago hanging with revolutionaries like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, he went on to church with Jeremiah Wright?”

“And what all of those people have in common is a deep hatred for our country. So maybe he doesn’t have a deep hatred for it, but it’s hard to see how we could have possibly having incubated in that, marinated in it, come out loving this country. Which brings us to your question. If he doesn’t, we’re in jeopardy, because you need someone in a dangerous world like this who loves this country, who believes it’s exceptional and is willing to stand up for it.”

Bryan Fischer: 'Sexual Immorality' And Abortion Will Cause God To Drive Americans From Our Land

A few months ago, Bryan Fischer justified the forcible removal of Native Americans from their land by citing the biblical story of the Amorites, who he said “lapsed into superstition and paganism and idolatry and sexual immorality and savagery” and were therefore justly removed by God.

On his American Family Radio program yesterday, Fischer cited the same story to warn that the United States is similarly in danger of “forfeiting our moral authority to maintain governance of this piece of land” because of legal abortion, a “turning away from Christianity” and, of course, “sexual immorality.”

“Again, the same principle of people can become morally disqualified to exercise sovereign authority over land by their savagery (think about the blood we’ve shed in abortion); by their superstition (think about our turning away from Christianity and from the God of the scriptures); and sexual immorality, I mean that’s an obvious problem in our culture,” he said.

“If that principle is true that God will displace a nation that lapses into unrepentant savagery, sexual immorality and superstition, then we are in danger, I believe, of forfeiting our moral authority to maintain governance of this piece of land, maintain sovereignty,” he warned. “Something that ought to be a concern to all of us, something that ought to take us to our knees in prayer and repentance for our land.”

Fischer didn’t specify who he believed God would empower to drive Americans from their land, although last year he cited some of the same scriptural passages to claim that God is using radical Islamic groups like ISIS to inflict his judgment on America for gay rights.

Bryan Fischer's 'Educated Guess': Hillary Clinton Is Recovering From Plastic Surgery

Bryan Fischer feels like he hasn’t seen Hillary Clinton in a while, and has an “educated guess” as to why.

“You know, people are looking for some explanation,” he said on his American Family Radio program today. “Where is she? Why haven’t we literally seen her face in weeks? And I would suggest that there is a possibility, anyway, that her face hasn’t been seen in weeks because she’s getting it prepared for the campaign, if you catch my drift.”

“I have an idea that when the new and improved Hillary emerges, she may look a whole lot different,” he said.

Bryan Fischer: 'Gay Gestapo' Forcing Alabama Judges Into 'Slavery'

Bryan Fischer is outraged that a federal judge may order the dozens of Alabama probate who are refusing to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples to back down. On his American Family Radio Program today, Fischer said that such an order would be tantamount to “tyranny” and “slavery” enforced by the “gay gestapo.”

“There’s a court hearing today before the federal judge, and she may order these probate judges to violate their own conscience and their own religious scruples,” he said. “She may order them to violate their conscience. You know what that is, ladies and gentlemen? You are ordered by an agent of the government to violate your conscience? That is tyranny.”

“When you are ordered by an agent of the government to violate your own conscience in something that you do, that is slavery. If you are forced to violate your conscience to do work, that is tyranny, that’s Tammy Bruce, that’s the gay gestapo. Tammy Bruce is the one that coined the term ‘gay gestapo.’ That’s the gay gestapo at work. You either do what we tell you or you’re going to get punished.”

Troy Newman Compares Abortion For Low-Income Women To 'Obama Phones'

In an interview on American Family Radio today, Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman claimed that low-income women use abortions “like birth control pills” and compared abortions to “Obama phones,” the name given by a racist meme to a decades-old program that provides low-cost or free phone service to some people in poverty so they can access things like emergency services.

When AFR host Ed Vitagliano asked Newman why “abortions are three times more likely to be performed on a woman with Medicaid,” he responded, “It’s free.”

“These $400 abortions, when they’re free through Medicare [sic], women just go and get them and they use them like birth control pills,” he said, adding that if abortions were more expensive, women would go instead to a “Christ-centered pregnancy counseling center” that doesn't provide abortion as an option.

In fact, the Hyde Amendment currently bars federal funds from being used to pay for abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or life endangerment. Only 17 states use their own tax dollars to fund all or most “medically necessary” abortions for women who are enrolled in Medicaid.

“It’s just like anything else, when you hand out things for free, the system becomes overwhelmed,” he said. “Look at the Obamacare, all the people who are getting it are getting subsidized, the Obama phones, etc. So as soon as you start giving something out you’re going to get more of it.”

Roy Moore: 'Institution Of Marriage That God Ordained' Is 'Under Sustained Attack From Federal Judges'

In an interview Friday with the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios, Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore defended a letter he sent to Gov. Robert Bentley urging him to ignore a federal court ruling striking down the state’s ban on same-sex marriage, saying that he was just like abolitionists and desegregationists standing up against the “rejection of God’s law by the federal judiciary.”

Moore told Rios that the case is similar to his famous defiance of a federal court order to remove a monument of the 10 Commandments from a court building because the 10 Commandments spat “symbolized the rejection of God’s law by the federal judiciary” and “now we see the institution of marriage that God ordained under sustained attack from federal judges":

Later in the interview, Rios asked Moore what he would say to Christians who are upset that he’s breaking the law by defying the federal courts.

“This is not against the law, this is for the law,” he said.

Moore, who in 2004 helped lead a campaign to preserve segregationist language in Alabama’s constitution, compared his stand against marriage equality to a defiance of federal courts on slavery or segregation. He added that he also puts abortion rights in that category, because “everybody recognizes Roe v. Wade is not in accordance with the Constitution”:

I think we’ve got to look back. Courts are not always perfect, Sandy. The United States Supreme Court is not always perfect. What would you have done in 1857 when they came out and said slaves were property. If you were a judge, would you have followed that opinion? Or in 1896, I think it is, in Plessy v. Ferguson, when they said that separate but equal was the policy that we had to adhere to, would you have followed it?

We’ve got to realize that courts, whether they’re federal, state, Supreme Court are not always perfect. And sometimes their rulings will contradict the Constitution, as did the United States Supreme Court opinion in Dred Scott, as it did in Plessy v. Ferguson, as it did in Roe v. Wade. Everybody recognizes Roe v. Wade is not in accordance with the Constitution, but you know, there it is as law. So I submit to you that we’ve got to look at these things very carefully.

Ben Carson: Women's Lib Movement Created 'Me Generation' That Helped Lead To Ferguson

Conservative activist Ben Carson was a guest on America Family Radio’s “Today’s Issues” last week, where he expounded on his previous comments that young African American men like Michael Brown are getting killed by the police because they “never really learn how to relate to authority in the proper way.”

“Certainly in a lot of our inner cities, in particular the black inner cities, where 73 percent of the young people are born out of wedlock, the majority of them have no father figure in their life. Usually the father figure is where you learn how to respond to authority. So now you become a teenager, you’re out there, you really have no idea how to respond to authority, you eventually run into the police or you run into somebody else in the neighborhood who also doesn’t know how to respond but is badder than you are, and you get killed or you end up in the penal system,” Carson said.

“If the so-called leaders were really interested in the community, they would be trying to deal with that problem, because that’s happening every single day,” he added.

When host Lauren Kitchen Stewards broke in to tie his remarks to young people’s “sense of entitlement,” Carson traced it all back to the women’s liberation movement.

“I think a lot of it really got started in the '60s with the ‘me generation.’ ‘What’s in it for me?’ I hate to say it, but a lot of it had to do with the women’s lib movement. You know, ‘I’ve been taking care of my family, I’ve been doing that, what about me?’ You know, it really should be about us,” he said.

Bryan Fischer Suggests Native Americans Were Justifiably Removed From Their Land

On “Focal Point” today, host Bryan Fischer once again linked the supposed moral failings of Native Americans to the seizure of their land by European colonists.

Fischer recounted the Biblical tale of the Amorites, a group that had “lapsed into superstition and paganism and idolatry and sexual immorality and savagery” until they were vanquished by the Israelites. He then paraphrased God as saying, “I’m going to be patient with the Amorite people for 400 years, and if they continue to sin at the rate they’re sinning, every time they sin they’re putting a little more slop in the slop bucket, and if they keep doing that the slop bucket’s going to get full, and I’m going to have to empty out that slop bucket.”

Fischer then used the story to justify the violent expulsion of Native American people from their territory at the hands of white settlers. “This may even be a part of American history, when we think about the moral right for the nation and the peoples that God brought into this land to exercise sovereign control over the land,” he said. “Part of that equation may have to do with the immorality of those nations that were exercising sovereign control over this land at the time.”

Jerry Boykin Wishes 'Cowardly' Christians Would Be Brave Like ISIS Terrorists

In the same interview with Sandy Rios today in which he warned of a looming Civil-War-level crisis in the U.S. and reported of the imminent Christian conversion of Israel’s Jews, retired Army general and Family Research Council vice president Jerry Boykin wondered why “cowardly” American Christians aren’t brave like the terrorists of ISIS.

“Think about this, what if we had Christians that were that committed to what they believe?” he said, after Rios played him a clip of a Vice interview with an ISIS spokesman. “I mean, here’s a guy who stands up and says, ‘I’m willing to die, I’m willing to die for it.’ And what about the Christian church these days? We’ve got Christians that are more cowardly than, I think, at any time in the history of America because they won’t stand up to evil.”

He went on to claim that “much” of the Islamist extremism in the United States “has come across our southern border” or “has been just developed inside by those people that came across our southern border with nefarious intent to destroy us.”

Boykin made the remarks in a live interview at the Values Voter Summit, which is hosted by his employer the Family Research Council.

Jerry Boykin Hopes For Imminent Christian Conversion Of Israel's Jews

In his interview with the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios at the Values Voter Summit this morning, top Family Research Council official Jerry Boykin discussed his recent trip to Israel, where he said he had met with many “fulfilled Jews, that’s what we tell Jews who have accepted Jesus Christ” which led him to hope that  many more Israeli Jews will soon convert to Christianity.

“When God deals with Jews, he does so in such a unique and powerful way and when a Jew comes to faith in Christ, they are such wonderful believers and such wonderful representatives of the power of the Holy Spirit,” Boykin gushed.

“I love their style,” Rios agreed. “I love their power, their strength, their commitment to their country. It makes me long for it.”

When Rios asked Boykin if he felt “a powerful movement” toward Christianity in Israel, Boykin responded that he did, but “the movement is more powerful among the Arabs,” which he saw as a good sign for ultimately converting Jews.

“There are more Arabs that are citizens of Israel that are coming to Christ, coming to faith, than there are Jews,” he said. “But eventually those Jews are going to figure out these Arabs are worshipping a Jew, and that’s going to stop a lot of them in their tracks and they are going to try to figure this out, and I believe it’s going to usher in a revival when they do.”

Jerry Boykin: 'Don't Pray For God's Blessings On America,' 'Pray That God Will Forgive Us' For Abortion And Pornography

In an interview with the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios at the Values Voter Summit this morning, Family Research Council Executive Vice President Jerry Boykin predicted that God will soon humble America with a Civil-War-like reckoning for legal abortion and pornography, which he equated with “the evil, the sin of slavery.”

“If we ask God to humble us, if we ask God to bring us to a point where we do turn back to him… we’ve got to be prepared for greater persecution, we’ve got to be prepared to be knocked to our knees, not just invited to our knees, but knocked to our knees,” he said.

“Pray that God will forgive us,” he added. “Don’t pray for God’s blessings on America, I stopped doing that three years ago.”

He then said that legal abortion, pornography, and families “disintegrating at an incredible rate” have brought the country to a similar point that brought about the Civil War, which he said happened because “Americans realized that slavery was wrong and they began to repent for the evil.”

Every great revival in America, every great awakening in America started with an attitude of repentance. If you look at the Civil War, it came about because Americans realized that slavery was wrong and they began to repent for  the evil, the sin of slavery, which brought about the second Great Awakening, which brought about the Civil War. That’s where we are right now, where we’ve brought so much evil, we’ve killed 55 million of our children, we’ve destroyed our families, they’re disintegrating at an incredible rate, pornography is a multi-billion dollar evil. All that is evil that we’ve brought into our society and called it good.

Tony Perkins Compares 'Bullying Of The Left' To Imprisonment Of Meriam Ibrahim

The American Family Association’s Sandy Rios broadcasted her radio show live from the Values Voter Summit this morning, and her very first guest was Family Research Council president and VVS host Tony Perkins. (The American Family Association is also a major sponsor of the event.)

The two got things started by talking about Meriam Ibrahim, the Sudanese Christian woman who was imprisoned for refusing to convert to Islam, who will be speaking at the summit tomorrow. Perkins, of course, quickly compared Ibrahim’s plight to the supposed persecution of conservative Christians in America, telling Rios that the story provides a good example to American “Christians who are so quick to go silent on their faith because of the intimidation and the bullying of the left.”

“We’re not backing up, we’re not going anywhere, we’re going to stand and defend our rights as Americans and we’re going to speak the truth,” he said. “We’ll speak it in love but we’re going to speak the truth.”

Later in the program, the two defined what the “values” in Values Voter Summit means.

“You know, when we say ‘VVS,’ the ‘values’ does mean values,” Perkins said.

“Not the ones the president describes, this redefinition of, what, multicultural, diversity, fairness, whatever. Those are not American values,” Rios replied.

“Those are the values that lead to a global nondescript society,” Perkins agreed. “That is not what made America an exceptional nation. It is those Judeo-Christian values that made the West distinct from the East.”

Scott Lively Doesn't Hate Gays, Just Wants Them To 'Enjoy The Blessings Of Being Able To Live A Heterosexual Life'

In an interview with the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios this morning, globe-trotting anti-gay activist Scott Lively insisted that he doesn’t hate LGBT people or “want them to be harmed in any way” or “put in jail.”

Instead, he said, “I want them to receive salvation in Jesus Christ, repent of their sins, and be able to enjoy the blessings of being able to live a heterosexual life and have a wife or a husband — depending on what their gender is — and the great blessings that come from doing things the God designed us to live. “

Earlier in the interview, Lively repeated his contention that a Human Rights Campaign report detailing his work pushing anti-gay laws throughout the world was “ trying to incite murder against me.”

“It’s a hit list, and a hit list file, it’s like the 10 Most Wanted list,” he told Rios.

“This is nothing less than directions to the next Floyd Lee Corkins on who to assassinate and where to find them and inflammatory rhetoric to get them all wound up in order to feel motivated to be able to do it,” he said, referring to the mentally disturbed man who attempted a shooting at the Family Research Council. “It’s a hit list for assassination.”

“Every leftist organization in America knows they have people that follow their rhetoric who are willing to commit murder,” he added.

When Rios responded that she herself had had “vile” things said about her, Lively responded, “It’s demonic, it’s literally demonic. What you’re seeing is demonic expression through human agents that have given themselves over to the Devil.”

Sandy Rios: Women 'Brainwashed' By Women's Studies Programs To Ignore That It's Really Men Who Are 'Being Degraded'

On her American Family Association radio program this morning, Sandy Rios interviewed Malcolm Kline of Accuracy in Academia, a sister organization of the conservative group Accuracy in Media, about the supposed terrible liberal bias in academia.

When the two inevitably got to talking about women’s studies programs, Rios told Kline about an encounter she had had with a young woman who had been “brainwashed” by a women’s studies program to think that “even in this day in this time, that women are somehow mistreated."

Rios said she told the young woman that because women now make up the majority of college graduates and men are supposedly not allowed to “speak up against anything about a woman” that in fact “men are the ones being degraded.”

Lutzer argued that with the rise of gay rights, children are “being indoctrinated in ways” equivalent to “Russia of years ago.” Because of this, “parents need to take that... MORE >

Rios is not the only AFA affiliate to speak out against Benson,... MORE >

Sandy Rios, the far-right host of American Family Radio’s “Sandy Rios in the Morning,” is unhappy with people expressing their happiness for Caitlyn Jenner. In fact, Rios laments that Jenner’s gender transition is “a human tragedy” and “probably one of the saddest stories on the news sites this week.” Rios warned her listeners this morning that they would “see today, if you haven’t already, that the cover of Vanity Fair is the new Bruce Jenner, calling himself Caitlyn Jenner. It’s, uh, a photo spread done by Annie Leibovitz,... MORE >

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right. This week, the far-right still cannot let go of Jade Helm 15, the ever looming rapture, the true origin of racism, and a children’s movie gets political. 5. Belief In Evolution Causes Racism We have found the culprit for racism, and his name is Charles Darwin. Alex McFarlan, host of an American Family Radio program, recently appeared on TheDove TV to explain to those who trust the lies of science that belief in evolution is the root cause of racism in America today.... Even as the Religious Right’s favorite reality TV family is rocked by a sexual abuse scandal, the American Family Association is urging its members to pull their sons from the Boy Scouts out of fear that gay troop leaders will sexually molest them and recruit them into homosexuality. Former AFA official Bryan Fischer, who hosts a daily program on the organization’s radio network, called Boy Scouts head Robert Gates’ support for admitting gay troop leaders “a disaster, a moral catastrophe.” If gay men are allowed to lead Boy Scout troops, he said, “It... Fischer eventually connected the health story back to a popular slogan used to protest racial discrimination: “All we’ve heard over the last number of months is ‘black lives... MORE >

The Center for Security Policy’s Frank Gaffney stopped by the American Family Radio at the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville this week to discuss Rudy Giuliani’s recent comment that President Obama doesn’t “love America.” Gaffney naturally agreed with Giuliani, contending that while Obama might not have a “deep hatred” for America, it is literally impossible for him to love the country. “How could this president love America?” Gaffney asked AFA president Tim Wildmon. “How could he, given that he grew up in his... A few months ago, Bryan Fischer justified the forcible removal of Native Americans from their land by citing the biblical story of the Amorites, who he said “lapsed into superstition and paganism and idolatry and sexual immorality and savagery” and were therefore justly removed by God. On his American Family Radio program yesterday, Fischer cited the same story to warn that the United States is similarly in danger of “forfeiting our moral authority to maintain governance of this piece of land” because of legal abortion, a “turning away from Christianity”...
