Ron Paul Guest Stars In Documentaries Made By 9/11 Conspiracy Theorist

Yesterday, filmmaker James Jaeger of the Jaeger Research Institute publicized the films SPOiLER: How A Third Party Could Win and Original Intent, which “exposes the historical march of Cultural Marxism.” Guests in the films include far-right notables including Pat Buchanan, Chuck Baldwin, Ted Baehr and Edwin Vieira. Original Intent and SPOiLER also include one notable guest: congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul. In fact, Paul’s Campaign for Liberty is listed alongside the Jaeger Research Institute under the film’s “affiliations.”

Even a brief glance at Jaeger Research Institute’s “research” reveals that it is a fringe, conspiratorial organization. In 2003, the group published a column arguing that “Zionist Jews appear to control both parties” and that “the Zionist leadership betrayed the Jews of Europe during the Jewish holocaust.” Another writer for the Jaeger Research Institute wrote, “I find it hard to believe that there is no truth in any of the accusations of child murder leveled against Jews over the centuries.”

And who is James Jaeger?

Jaeger is an outspoken media critic who has claimed that the film industry has “a cultural Marxist agenda and it injects this agenda into about 10% of its annual output” and believes “the studios support the government agenda of endless expansion because they consider themselves in the elite that will dominate the New World Order.” He is also a big Ron Paul fan, but believes that the Council of Foreign Relations is determined to stop Paul’s candidacy: “The forces that are arrayed against the Ron Paul Revolution can be summed up in basically three letters: CFR.”

Last month, Jaeger wrote that the September 11th attacks were an inside job concocted by the CIA and Mossad:

On the bigger picture, what may have happened is this: when the cold war wound down, factions in the military-industrial-complex realized that they needed an excuse to justify an increase in the military budget. The first attack on the World Trade Center in the early 1990s was thus probably orchestrated by the CIA in conjunction with the military and/or Islamic extremists. Since this was deemed a "terrorist attack," they were able to bring the Trade Center Towers under the auspices of the federal government (CIA and/or factions in the military industrial complex). This then gave certain actors years of access to the elevator system in the Twin Towers.

In the film I recommended, a World Trade Center elevator employee discussed the elevator system and the easy access one would have to the central steel core of the building. So this is how they may have gotten in there to slowly wire up the charges on the central column of the Towers and Building 7 over the course of as long as a decade. Once the towers were wired and ready to go, the CIA alone, but more likely in conjunction with elements in the Mossad, instigated or contracted with Osama bin Laden, directly or indirectly, to pull off the attacks. This why bin Laden was not "caught" for so long and why, and when he WAS "caught," he was, of course, killed by the special forces that "caught him." The central planners of 9-11 could not have him exposing what he knew.

Most likely, bin Laden had no idea the towers had been pre-wired for complete demolition. bin Laden's job was simply to commandeer as many jets as possible and "attack" multiple targets so he could look good to this religious constituents. The reason for the multiple targets was to diffuse the New York attack. Had all the attacks been on the two towers, the public's investigative powers would have been focused just on New York. Having the "terrorist" attacks executed over a wide area gave MUCH more credence to the idea that this was a concerted attack from a massive and very threatening force.

Beck's New "Regiment" Shares Name With Radical Right Wing Group

Yesterday I was mocking Glenn Beck's new "Black Robe Regiment," noting that is seems to be nothing more than a duplication of a dozen other already existing Religious Right efforts to get pastors and religious leaders to take a stand on political and cultural issues.

But it turns out that even the name of Beck's group is redundant, because such an organization already exists:

The “Black Regiment” was a group of patriot-preachers from virtually every protestant denomination located throughout Colonial America at the time of America’s fight for independence who courageously preached the Biblical principles of liberty and independence. The moniker stems from the tendency of these patriot-preachers to wear long, black robes in their pulpits.

The inspiration for this directory comes from the scores of people throughout America who have contacted me asking if I knew of “Black Regiment” pastors in their respective cities. This directory is an attempt to help the many hundreds and thousands of Christians across America who desire to fellowship and worship with a courageous pastor who knows what is going on and is not afraid to preach truth to power. Men who are not enamored with political correctness or political parties. Men who love America’s Christian history and heritage. Men who support and defend the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. Men who preach the Bible and are not owned by committees. Men who do not grovel before the wealthy and affluent. These are the kinds of men who comprise the “Black Regiment.”

The organizer of this group is none other than Chuck Baldwin, the 2008 Presidential nominee of the Christian Reconstructionist Constitution Party.

And you know who has signed up to be a member of Baldwin's "Black Regiment"?  Well, in addition to Wiley Drake, we find this name:

Perhaps you recall Mr. Anderson from when he made news last year for declaring that God commands you to kill gays:

You want to know who the biggest hypocrite in the world is? The biggest hypocrite in the world is the person who believes in the death penalty for murderers and not for homosexuals. Hypocrite. The same God who instituted the death penalty for murderers is the same God who instituted the death penalty for rapists and for homosexuals - sodomites, queers! That's what it was instituted for, okay? That's God, he hasn't changed. Oh, God doesn't feel that way in the New Testament ... God never "felt" anything about it, he commanded it and said they should be taken out and killed.

So not only is the mission of Beck's new effort redundant, it shares its name with an already existing group containing activists who openly call for gays to be put to death.

You know, maybe Beck should just go back to organizing Tea Party events and uncovering convoluted conspiracy theories on his chalk board.

Right Wing Leftovers

I'm thinking of starting a new semi-regular feature consisting of some of the things I see during the day that don't necessarily warrant a post of their own but are still worth noting.

For instance, here is Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin offering up his take on the best and worst things of 2008 - among his "worst" is something that'll get no argument from us:

In addition to the mainstream media, and worthless talk show hosts such as Sean Hannity, I must include the majority of so-called leaders within the Religious Right as making my "worst" list for 2008. I include James Dobson, Pat Robertson, and Tony Perkins on this list.

For all intents and purposes, the Religious Right has become nothing more than a gaggle of glorified hacks for the Republican Party. They have sacrificed virtually every principle worth defending. For the sake of sitting at the king's table, or not losing financial support from brain-dead contributors, these men have sold the cause of freedom and constitutional government down the river. Their mindless support for John McCain was inexcusable and embarrassing! In so doing, they have lost all credibility.

Elsewhere, Phyllis Schlafly laments that America is losing its "common national identity" and has a rather odd solution to remedy it:

We should celebrate and honor our nation's heroes, starting with George Washington. Federal law clearly specifies that the name of the "legal public holiday" on the third Monday in February is "Washington's Birthday."

Americans should refuse to buy the calendars that wrongly label this February holiday as "Presidents Day." This calendar mischief is very offensive because there are quite a few presidents who are not worthy of a special "day."

As for Mike Huckabee, he's still traveling the country and delivering speeches at his favorite venue - church:

An ordained Baptist minister, Mike Huckabee was right at home Tuesday night at the pulpit of Community Bible Church.

The former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential candidate was the guest of honor at the church's annual Men's Wildlife Supper, an event that drew an all-male audience of more than 3,500 to the church on Parris Island Gateway.

After dining on a free buffet of alligator tail, wild boar and venison, the crowd packed the church's auditorium as Huckabee delivered an impassioned 45-minute speech with the feel of a Sunday sermon.

"There's a lot of anxiety in the world right now with the economy, and no one is really sure what's going to happen," he said. "I don't know what's going to happen in 2009, but no matter what happens with the economy, God is still God."

Finally, I don't really have anything to say about this graphic from a recent Family Research Council Washington Update other than to say that I think they might be getting a little paranoid:
