WND's Birther-in-Chief Welcomed Back to CPAC

For the last several years, there has been a feud underway between various Religious Right groups and the organizers of the annual CPAC conference, primarily over the participation of the gay conservative group GOProud.

Religious Right groups had been boycotting the event in recent years, but the American Conservative Union, which organizes the event, got a new chairman last year who has made it a priority to try and unify the movement.  As such, GOProud has been kicked out and now the Religious Right leaders are flocking back to the event.

But it is not just Religious Right leaders that CPAC is wooing back, but even Birther king Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily.  Since 2009, Farah has been on a crusade against CPAC, stemming mainly from a refusal to allow him to host a panel questioning President Obama's citizenship.

But it looks like any hard feelings between Farah and CPAC have likewise been patched up as Farah will be hosting a panel on Friday morning:

Congressman who cited 'The Onion' to Attack Planned Parenthood promoted another Deceptive Planned Parenthood Smear

Following in the footsteps of Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ), Congressman John Fleming (R-LA) used bogus information to attack Planned Parenthood. On his Facebook page, the congressman cited an article from the satirical newspaper The Onion, ‘Planned Parenthood Opens $8 Billion Abortionplex,’ to criticize the women’s health group.

While the congressman has since scrubbed the post from his Facebook page, he still is promoting an article from the conspiratorial far-right site WorldNetDaily to claim that Planned Parenthood has abortion quotas. In the story, WND cited Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood staffer turned anti-choice activist who has made similar charges before that Planned Parenthood is trying to “coerce” and “encourage” women to have abortions. However, Johnson isn’t exactly a trustworthy source, as her stated story on why she left Planned Parenthood completely lacks credibility:

Johnson’s departure from Planned Parenthood turned out to be a more complex story than it first appeared. At a court hearing for an injunction sought by Planned Parenthood to prevent Johnson from divulging confidential information to her new allies, two of Johnson’s former co-workers testified that she told them in the days before she resigned that she was afraid she was about to be fired. At one time, Johnson, who was named the regional Planned Parenthood affiliate’s employee of the year in 2008, seemed to have a promising future with the organization. By mid-2009, however, her relationship with her employer had begun to deteriorate. Salon reported that on October 2, Johnson was summoned to Houston to meet with her supervisors to discuss problems with her job performance. She was placed on what Planned Parenthood calls a “performance improvement plan.” It was just three days later, on Monday, that Johnson made her tearful appearance at the Coalition for Life. The following day she faxed Planned Parenthood a resignation letter, which mentioned nothing about a crisis of conscience.

...

Other questions about Johnson’s credibility arose during our interview. She told me, for example, that there had never been any threats of violence against the Bryan clinic; however, Johnson herself received a series of threatening letters in 2007. “God will punish you for killing the innocent or we will,” read one. “You are not taking us seriously. You were at the clinic alone. Not very smart,” read another. In fact, the threats were taken so seriously that security cameras were installed at Johnson’s house, as she later acknowledged. Johnson also claimed that while most services at Planned Parenthood were provided by a nonprofit corporation, abortions were done by a for-profit corporation. Both she and Carney seemed to sincerely believe this was true, though all services at Planned Parenthood are, in fact, provided by a pair of separate nonprofit corporations.

As confounding as these inconsistencies are, there may be a much larger problem with Johnson’s story. Johnson has told the story of her journey from pro-choice activist to pro-life celebrity many times in many venues, and the crux of the tale is always the same: her moving description of what she saw on the ultrasound that September day in the Bryan clinic’s operating room ... Johnson’s account is so plausible and rich in detail that even Planned Parenthood seems not to have investigated whether this event ever took place. At my request, the staff at the Bryan clinic examined patient records from September 26, the day Johnson claims to have had her conversion experience, and spoke with the physician who performed abortions on that date. According to Planned Parenthood, there is no record of an ultrasound-guided abortion performed on September 26. The physician on duty told the organization that he did not use an ultrasound that day, nor did Johnson assist on any abortion procedure. “Planned Parenthood can assure you that no abortion patients underwent an ultrasound-guided abortion on September 26,” said a spokesperson. It’s difficult to imagine that Johnson simply got the date wrong; September 12 was the only other day that month that the clinic performed surgical abortions.

Could clinic staff and the physician be mistaken? The Texas Department of State Health Services requires abortion providers to fill out a form documenting basic information about each procedure performed at a clinic. This document is known as the Induced Abortion Report Form. The Bryan clinic reported performing fifteen surgical abortions on September 26. Johnson has consistently said that the patient in question was thirteen weeks pregnant, which is plausible, since thirteen weeks is right at the cusp of when physicians will consider using an ultrasound to assist with the procedure. Yet none of the patients listed on the report for that day were thirteen weeks pregnant; in fact, none were beyond ten weeks.

WorldNetDaily and Sheriff Joe's Very Profitable Birther Investigation

A few months back the birther website WorldNetDaily teamed-up with Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio to launch an investigation into President Obama’s birth certificate, with stands to financially benefit both parties involved. WND editor Joseph Farah today sent out a fundraising note telling members that “Obama is not eligible to be president” and urging them to donate to Arpaio’s “Cold Case Posse.” Since Farah claims that “there is nearly 100 percent agreement among qualified forensics investigators and document experts” that President Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery, one wonders why Farah wants to go through with an “investigation” by Arpaio’s scandal-ridden office if he already believes that the birth certificate is indisputably a fake document.

Contributions to the “Cold Case Posse” doesn’t only go to support Arpaio, but also bolster the coffers of WND: “A portion of all contributions will go to support WND’s efforts, with another portion going to Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse, set to issue its report in February 2012.” Contributors are also able to receive Jerome Corsi’s “Where’s the Birth Certificate?,” which is published by none other than WND Books:

On the very face of it, Obama is not eligible to be president. Every action he has taken under the color of authority as president should be repealed, negated and voided. If we take him at his word and accept at face value the evidence he has provided about his birth, he is simply not a "natural born citizen," as documented in Jerome Corsi's authoritative and best-selling book, "Where's the Birth Certificate?"

The man he claims as his father was a Kenyan national visiting student who would have conferred foreign citizenship upon his son. The very purpose and intent of the "natural born citizen" clause of the Constitution's requirements for the presidency was to avoid any such perceptions of divided loyalty.

Worse yet, there are very grave doubts about whether his biological father was who he claims. All of Obama's biographical tales about this relationship have been called into question by the actual evidence.

Then we have the problem of the birth document itself. It was only released last April in response to the impending release of Corsi's devastating book, which had hit the No. 1 best-seller position. But is it genuine? To date, there is nearly 100 percent agreement among qualified forensics investigators and document experts that it is not.

With the advent of the first official law-enforcement probe under way in Maricopa County, Arizona, under the auspices of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and the continuing investigative reporting of Jerome Corsi and the entire WND editorial team, there is still a chance for Americans to save the Constitution from being dumbed down permanently.

This fund will support both efforts.

Credit card contributions of $10 or more entitle you to a free copy of the brand-new e-book, “Where’s the Real Birth Certificate?” by Jerome Corsi. For a credit card contributions of $25 or more, you will get the e-book, plus the bestselling hardcover “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” – the book that forced Obama to release what he claims is his official long-form birth certificate.

A portion of all contributions will go to support WND’s efforts, with another portion going to Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse, set to issue its report in February 2012.

WND Columnist Urges 'Hard Labor' for Occupy Wall Street 'Creatures'

Les Kinsolving of WorldNetDaily thinks that demonstrators in the Occupy Wall Street movement should be punished for their protests with “extensive terms of hard labor.” Citing the OWS demonstrations against K Street lobbyists, Kinsolving says that only hard labor can “consume the energy of these creatures”:

The Washington Post reported:

"As a cold rain fell, hundreds of people filled K Street, chanting 'We are the 99 percent' while slogging through puddles and waving protest signs. They blocked intersections with newspaper boxes, wooden pallets, office furniture and tents. Tempers frayed. Horns blared.

"D.C. police said 62 people were arrested after they formed human chains across thoroughfares. Many were charged with obstruction of a public highway. On Wednesday night, 12 more people were arrested when they wouldn't leave the steps of the Supreme Court."

I surely defend the right to picket – that historic and constitutional right.

Surely this right does not include the construction of housing structures in public parks or the blocking of public thoroughfares by arm-locked protesters.

But the Washington Times reported that the D.C. code punishes obstructing a public highway with only a fine – from $100 to $250. What is needed are extensive terms of hard labor to consume the energy of these creatures.

A Window into the Paranoid Right-Wing Mind

Last week on Eagle Forum Live, Phyllis Schlafly’s guest host Bill Borst had WorldNetDaily researcher Brenda J. Elliott on to discuss her new book written with WND’s Aaron Klein. The book, Red Army, is the sequel to their book The Manchurian President. Red Army purportedly exposes “a radical socialist movement has been quietly infiltrating the major institutions of American power” and “the multipronged policy offensive aimed at disarming America.” Elliott told Borst that President Obama is merely a “useful idiot” of this shadowy, socialist network and didn’t hold back on the book’s conspiratorial nature, exclaiming, “it is a conspiracy!” “The word conspiracy theory has been really distorted,” Elliott said, “it’s been made to sound like something loony, and it’s not loony, it’s not loony!”

Borst: Brenda we were talking about President Barack Obama and the “Red Army,” how important is he to this army? Is he like the leader? Or is he a mere commissar or just a peon, so to speak?

Elliott: He’s a useful idiot. He doesn’t bring anything to the table except for a willingness to go along with the agenda. You could’ve plugged in somebody else but he’s just a guy who was in the right place at the right time.

Borst: They want to cripple America I guess, right?

Elliott: Absolutely. America, you know, is just too good of a country, we’re just too arrogant and we need to lower our standards to help out other country so they can prosper as well. Barack Obama has set back American history and American exceptionalism to almost day one, it’s very frightening. Do we have an absolute reason for why they want to do this? Stupidity is my answer. Honestly folks it is a conspiracy, two people is all it takes for a conspiracy and an intent to make something happen, that’s a conspiracy. The word conspiracy theory has been really distorted, it’s been made to sound like something loony, and it’s not loony, it’s not loony!

Pamela Geller Hits "Pro-Jihad" Obama…for Trying to Stop Iran from Benefiting from Higher Oil Prices

In another edition of why no one should take Pamela Geller seriously, the far-right columnist today claimed that “our pro-jihad president” is bolstering the creation of an Islamic “universal caliphate” and trying to destroy America from within. According to the Associated Press, the Obama administration yesterday targeted two leading Iranian officials with sanctions and is working with Congress on placing sanctions on Iran’s Central Bank that would mitigate “unintended consequences,” including increasing the price of oil that would end up boosting “the value of Iranian oil sales.” For Geller, the administration’s attempt to make sure that the sanctions don’t end up helping Iran while destabilizing world markets proves that President Obama is “pro-Iran” and is intent on pursuing an “anti-American agenda,” contending, “The United States under Barack Obama is like Secretariat being ridden by Rosie O’Donnell”:

From Egypt to Libya, Tunisia to Morocco, the story is the same: Pro-Shariah Islamic supremacists are taking power. But most of all, this is the story of the failure of Obama as president. This development has been obvious for years. Obama was given a golden opportunity when the Iranian people begged for his help. Instead, he backed the murdering mullahs.

Still, there is hope. That is made clear by this latest struggle by our pro-jihad president and the majority of pro-freedom patriots in the Congress. The Washington Post reported Friday that "Republicans and Democrats determined to look tough on Iran and avoid any election-year challenges to their pro-Israel bona fides are rebuffing Obama administration pleas to ease proposed sanctions on Iran's Central Bank."

Why would Obama want to ease sanctions on Iran? He sounds mentally ill. Or he wants a universal caliphate.

Compare the revolutions under Bush: the Rose Revolution, the Cedars Revolution and all true freedom revolutions to remove the shackles of oppression, subjugation and persecution. Conversely, the revolutions across the world during the Obama rout are all Islamic supremacist movements. And he sanctions them all except the only one that was truly a freedom movement – Iran's freedom revolution.

Obama's assault on our allies and support for freedom's enemies is so egregious that he has managed to unite the Congress. Despite Obama's pleas to go soft on a nuclear Iran, Republicans and Democrats are going ahead with sanctions that would target foreign banks that do business with Iran's Central Bank.

The congressional rebuff to our pro-Iran president best illustrates the importance of securing a super majority in the Congress, and why we must win the Senate in 2012.

In the disastrous event of an Obama win (certainly made possible by voluntary state-run media and his goon armies ACORN, SEIU, the George Soros-funded propaganda machine, et al.) the Congress will be the only thing that stands between us and the destruction of the greatest, freest nation in the history of man.

Be prepared for more Obama ugliness. A billion-dollar marketing campaign of ugliness coupled with an activist media deceiving the American public to advance their uber-left anti-American agenda, the re-election of Obama. We are entering what is certain to be an incomprehensibly ugly year, full of the politics of destruction – courtesy of Barack Hussein Obama.

And when it comes to Iran, pray for Israel at this critical time. It's all on them. The United States under Barack Obama is like Secretariat being ridden by Rosie O'Donnell. A tremendous machine under the control of a destructive malcontent. Disaster. And the worst is yet to come.

Flashback: Florida Family Association Decries Family Guy’s “Gross Perversion”

As we’ve previously reported All-American Muslim is far from the first show that was in the crosshairs of the Florida Family Association, in fact, just two years ago the FFA went after advertisers on Family Guy:

Family Guy, a Fox network cartoon which airs on Sunday evenings, has turned to denouncing God, mocking the Born Again Experience and embracing perversion to “entertain” viewers.

The March 29th episode of Family Guy denounced God’s existence, mocked the born again experience and embraced perversity. The March 8th episode condoned bestiality, gay orgies and gross perversion. A more detailed description of the content of both episodes is provided at floridafamily.org because the content is too disgusting to print.

Florida Family Association launched an email campaign on March 31st that asked supporters to send emails to the following Family Guy advertisers: Sprint-Nextel (Boost Mobile), Unilever (Axe), Brinker International (Chili’s Grill), KIA (Spectra), Yum Brands (Taco Bell), Volkswagen, Ford (Southern Ford Dealers), Amscot and Pepsi (Mountain Dew.)

The group has also attacked Modern Family, Dancing With the Stars, and Degrassi for positively portraying the LGBT community.

WorldNetDaily reported that the American Family Association joined the FFA’s efforts to protest Family Guy over the show’s flatulence:

"We have prepared an e-mail for you to conveniently send by the press of one button that will encourage the CEOs and VPs of all of these companies to stop supporting Family Guy with their advertising dollars," the family group said.

The organization said the March 29 episode further featured the character Stewie trying to beam the "Star Trek" cast into his home. But failing, the character instead beams "four semi nude dominatrixes with their all nude and bound male prey into [the home]."

Stewie also "pulls his pants down and passes gas into the air hose of his father’s diving apparatus," the group said.

"This should be disturbing to a lot of American families," said AFA spokesman Randy Sharp.

"It's beyond me how a network finds humor in the deviancy of human nature," he continued. "The writers of this program, you really have to question who are these people who come up with this and call it entertainment."

The group has also attacked Modern Family, Dancing With the Stars and Degrassi for positively portraying the LGBT community.

Farah Disparages GOProud and Warns that Obama Made U.S. "Global Sex Cop"

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah has for years been waging a war against the gay conservative group GOProud, and attacking the American Conservative Union for allowing GOProud to participate in its annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). But this year, under new leadership, the ACU has decided to kick GOProud out of CPAC and has instead invited Religious Right luminaries and past CPAC-boycotters Mike Huckabee and Tony Perkins to address the summit. GOProud also finds itself in hot water after allegedly outing over Twitter a pollster for Rick Perry’s campaign in response to a controversial ad maligning gay soldiers. Conservative smear artist Andrew Breitbart quit GOProud’s advisory board in response to the outing, leading Farah to gloat, “I told you so.”

In an editorial today, Farah slams GOProud by tying the group to President Obama and his administration’s LGBT rights directive. “It was the political left that birthed the homosexual agenda by asserting what people do in the privacy of their own bedrooms was a private matter – only to make it everyone's business,” Farah writes. “Now, under Barack Obama, the U.S. federal government is to become a global sex cop and make LGBT status as a preferential designation for immigrants into the country.” He goes on to say that supporting gay rights is incompatible with the conservative movement and calls GOProud “an enemy of conservatism inside the gates”:

I hate to say, "I told you so."

Andrew Breitbart is learning the hard way what it means to be a "conservative."

And it doesn't mean promoting a political organization that seeks to redefine a 6,000-year-old moral code or one that defines itself by its members' own peculiar sexual practices.

Any person or group seeking to topple the Judeo-Christian moral code and glorify sin, which is exactly what GOProud is all about, can never be considered "conservative," or the term loses all meaning. It is the political left that separates people by sex, by race, by ethnicity, by social standing, by income and through a thousand other classifications in an effort to divide and conquer in the name of greater state control.

It was the political left that birthed the homosexual agenda by asserting what people do in the privacy of their own bedrooms was a private matter – only to make it everyone's business. Now, under Barack Obama, the U.S. federal government is to become a global sex cop and make LGBT status as a preferential designation for immigrants into the country.

I have no doubt these policies will please the extremists at GOProud. Any group or individual who supports same-sex marriage, hate-crimes laws and radical social engineering in our military can never be considered "conservative."

Will Ann Coulter, who sits on that same GOProud advisory board, finally get a clue?

Will Grover Norquist, who sits on that same advisory board, have an epiphany now?

Will the rest of the conservative movement finally comprehend what these people are doing?

It's time to recognize what GOProud truly is – an enemy of conservatism inside the gates, the well-funded, well-heeled, perpetrators of a "homo con," a term the group affectionately uses for its own fabulous confabs.

Keyes Blames Gay Rights For Alleged Penn State Cover-Up

Alan Keyes today blamed increasing acceptance of homosexuality for the potential cover-up of child abuse at Penn State University. Writing for WorldNetDaily, whose editor Joseph Farah already blamed gay rights for the scandal, Keyes said that acceptance of homosexuality may have been the reason that claims of child molestation and rumors floated by sportswriter Mark Madden of child prostitution were not reported to the police.

Keyes suggests that the “almost religious promotion of homosexuality” created a culture of “political correctness” that prevented people from investigating Sandusky. Keyes said that people at Penn State were probably afraid of crossing “the zealous advocates of homosexual rights” who he accused of “pretending to draw the line at the sexual abuse of children”:

When it was only a rumor, Mark Madden accurately foreshadowed the news about Penn State's cover-up of the allegations about Jerry Sandusky. So when I read the above quoted account of his willingness to allude to a rumor that there may be an even more ugly aspect to Sandusky's alleged crimes, it gave me pause. If the allegations against Sandusky are true, there's an aspect of the situation that doesn't make sense. Why would higher-ups be willing to risk their reputations and life-long careers to cover for the wrongdoing of one of their subordinates? Despite the almost religious promotion of homosexuality now in evidence at all too many of America's institutions of so-called "higher learning," it's hard to believe that they would thus willingly sacrifice themselves to the gods of "political correctness," especially given the fact that the zealous advocates of homosexual rights are still pretending to draw the line at the sexual abuse of children.

The insistence that in human affairs power must respect the boundaries imposed by right reflects the conscientious understanding the American founders intended to be the bedrock of the constitutional republic. This is the root of the ideas of limited government America's contemporary elites, pretending they seek to do good, are now determined to discard. Yet more and more there comes to light a morass of power abuse – for sex, for money and above all for the self-gratifying vanity of power itself. Now more than ever the wisdom of America's founders proves true. The essential purpose of legitimate government is to safeguard God-given right by limiting and constraining power abuse. Those who pretend to do us good as they discard and disregard constitutional constraints (and encourage us to cast away our sense of the moral ones) are preparing in fact to restore the Old Regime in politics and society at large; the one in which, without regard to God or any power but their own, masterful elites may expect no effective opposition as they use force, deceit, bribery and fear to gratify and advance their ambitions.

Farah Blames Penn State Scandal On Growing Acceptance Of Homosexuality

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah is adding his name to the growing list of Religious Right leaders who blame gays and lesbians for the child abuse scandal at Penn State. In today’s editorial, Farah maintained that “an environment conducive for predators of children is being created” by advocates for gay rights, arguing, “The more our society condones and glorifies aberrant sexual behavior, the more of it we will see.” Farah insists that since homosexuality is no longer “perceived as sexual perversion,” child predators will have more prospects to harm children:

The lines between right and wrong sexual behavior have been moved. They were moved, in most cases, without legislation, without an expression of the popular will and in spite of the contradictory religious beliefs of the majority of Americans. They were moved sometimes by judicial fiat, through the pressures and propaganda of powerful cultural institutions and through the intimidation and thuggery of a self-interested minority.

Some may find this hard to believe, but even through the 1960s sexual revolution, homosexuality was perceived as sexual perversion. That began to change only in the 1970s, when the American Psychological Association, under political pressure, changed the very definition of homosexuality from a disorder to an identity.

No longer did God decide for America what was sinful behavior. Ever since, every man and woman has done what is right in his own eyes.

We may not fully understand the details of what Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky did or didn't do to young boys in locker rooms and showers, though he does admit inappropriate behavior. But the real question is how he did it for so long without consequences.

But now that being accused of homophobia is considered an offense, while practicing homosexuality is considered a virtue, should it really surprise anyone that such behavior would go unreported or unchallenged for so long?

In an age when government schools are actually teaching children how to perform homosexual acts and that there is nothing wrong with them, it would seem that an environment conducive for predators of children is being created under the watchful eye of the state and the media. Remember also that Penn State is a public university. There is probably no institution more conscious of the new "sin" of homophobia than the American college campus. There are few imaginable offenses more grievous than homophobia in that environment. One pays a price for exhibiting any symptoms of this dread disease – especially in academia.

The more our society condones and glorifies aberrant sexual behavior, the more of it we will see. Period. End of story.

I know many people don't want to hear this. There is a big price to pay stating it this simply. But you don't change what has been sinful behavior into appropriate behavior with a wave of a magic wand. You don't change the morals of a nation through judicial activism. You don't use the heavy hand of government to create new moral codes without very severe consequences. You don't allow social engineers to get their way through bullying tactics and coercion.

What happened at Penn State is a tragedy. Worse, it's likely a series of tragedies that will impact the lives of people for years to come.

Let's stop acting like idiots by addressing symptoms of a much deeper problem when most everyone knows why we're seeing an explosion of predatory sexual acts on innocent children everywhere – in churches, in schools and in academia.
