Harvey: "'Anti-Bullying' Programs Are A Carte Blanche For Sexual-Deviance Promotion"

Earlier this week, Mission America’s Linda Harvey warned that anti-bullying programs will turn schools into “indoctrination camps” and urged schools to encourage their LGBT students to go through reparative therapy. Today in her column for WorldNetDaily, Harvey again went after bullying-prevention programs and labeled them “sexual-deviance promotion.” She said that the real solution to suicides among LGBT youth is to tell them “that homosexuality is unsafe, unnatural, and no one needs to go there emotionally or physically” and cites Dale O’Leary of the anti-gay group NARTH for saying that sexual abuse causes homosexuality. Harvey writes:

Your sixth-grader, Zack, comes home from school. "Mom, Dad, guess what we talked about today? There are kids all over the country who are trying to kill themselves, just because they were born gay or born in the wrong-sex body!"

Now, if this doesn't make you drop the soup spoon, I don't know what would.

"Yes," he continues, quite agitated, "and I have to be really careful, so it's not my fault!"

If you are a well-informed parent, you will sit your son down and separate fact from fiction as you unburden his manipulated young conscience. This is, of course, unless your son is an actual bully. But 99 times out of a hundred, your child has done nothing more than had the "wrong" thoughts – i.e., that two boys dating is really weird. But this is no longer permissible – in order to eliminate the dreaded "climate of hate."

Consider yourself lucky: At least Zack told you. Many parents never hear about the nonsense laced into their children's latest "anti-bullying" lesson. While we all deeply empathize with any parent who has lost a child this way, our American softheartedness is being massaged for full effect. Deceit and deviance have entered the schoolyard and will bring vastly more tragedy unless we get wise.

All over the country, parents are discovering that "anti-bullying" programs are a carte blanche for sexual-deviance promotion. Kids learn that unless they nod approvingly at homosexuality and gender-bending, they are all complicit in the worst damage that can ever happen to a fellow student.

This is suicide prevention? How about if we tell them the truth, that homosexuality is unsafe, unnatural, and no one needs to go there emotionally or physically? There's a well-traveled road out of homosexuality that our kids deserve to hear. It would be a lifesaver for many.

But adult homosexuals in American education are busy driving this exploitative agenda. The National Education Association's "GLBT Caucus" has led the giant union into every imaginable supporting policy for same-sex "marriage" and "GLBT" expression among students and teachers. This past summer, the NEA representative assembly passed a measure calling for "hate language" to be eliminated from schools because of bullying issues. Given their far-left leanings, do we have any doubt about what this means?

Among recent tragic teen suicides, some were, or were thought to be, involved in homosexuality. But the picture is mostly murky, with activists making unsupported accusations while downplaying any role played by personal struggles, peer conflicts and/or family issues.

Research has shown that teens have a higher risk of self-harm after "coming out," and effeminate boys have a particularly high risk. The right questions are seldom even asked. Researcher Dale O'Leary has written that, "When an adolescent self-identifies as gay or bisexual, health-care professionals should ask, 'Was this child sexually abused?'" O'Leary notes that 61 percent of self-identified gay teens in one major study who attempted suicide had been sexually abused.

Right Wing Round-Up

Right Wing Leftovers

  • Pamela Geller and others launch NotMittRomney.com.
  • Star Parker says President Obama is getting people addicted to the government.
  • NOM announces that Bank of America and Cisco "have promised not to discriminate against employees or vendors who publicly oppose same-sex marriage."
  • Of course, if secular colleges did this to religious groups, the Religious Right would throw a fit.
  • Finally, it is amazing how the Religious Right thinks the absence of prayer or mentions of God on anything is an absolute outrage.

Rios Suggests Sharon Bialek Led Herman Cain On

Sandy Rios, the former president of Concerned Women for America turned conservative columnist and Fox News contributor, doesn’t buy Sharon Bialek’s claim that Herman Cain made an unwanted physical advance to her during a meeting with him in 1997. Rios, now the vice president of Family PAC, says that if Bialek was planning an “over night visit” with someone she only knew “slightly,” then, “What was Herman Cain to think about a single woman making an unnecessary arrangement like that—agreeing to drinks and dinner on the basis of nothing more, according to her, than a few conversations at public dinners and receptions?” In her Townhall column today, Rios argues that “if he did what she said he did and she in turn flirted inappropriately, it is NOT sexual harassment, it is what happens every day in our sex-obsessed, morally bankrupt culture”:

Why do I discount Bialek’s story? I’ll answer with a few questions of my own.

What was Bialek doing meeting Herman Cain in Washington, DC? What did she hope to achieve by a face-to-face meeting? If she were staying in New Jersey, why didn’t she make it a daytime meeting, not an over night visit? Why do that with someone you know so slightly?

What was Herman Cain to think about a single woman making an unnecessary arrangement like that—agreeing to drinks and dinner on the basis of nothing more, according to her, than a few conversations at public dinners and receptions?

If Bialek were so traumatized and embarrassed, why did she eagerly seek him out at a recent Tea Party event in Chicago? Amy Jacobson, co-host of Morning Drive on WIND Chicago, was witness to that encounter with Cain and described her as “hell bent” on getting back stage to see him. Jacobson said Bialek “cornered him” and that her approach to Cain was “flirtatious.”

If you are embarrassed by a sexual encounter, you don’t eagerly seek out the perpetrator to reconnect for a chat. Unless you think the harasser might someday be president and you are imagining the connections that might come from that.

Why did she so carefully include the buzzwords of a harassment lawsuit? Herman Cain was “powerful,” she said, “in a position of authority over me.” Bialek was “shocked” that he would use his “power” in this way. Does a sincerely abused person so carefully script her account? Were there certain words she wanted to use? This was not a court of law, but her statement was worded like a deposition. She even described the clothing they wore—strange and unnecessary.

Am I excusing Herman Cain? No. But if he did what she said he did and she in turn flirted inappropriately, it is NOT sexual harassment, it is what happens every day in our sex-obsessed, morally bankrupt culture.

'The Call: Detroit': Casting Demons Out Of Mosques, Masonic Temples And The State Senate

In our reporting on Rick Perry’s The Response prayer rally, we highlighted the work of John Benefiel of the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network, who gained notoriety for his claims that the Statue of Liberty is a “demonic idol” and that the District of Columbia is under a curse because of its name, which Benefiel says honors the goddess Columbia. He claimed that his group succeeded in divorcing the city from the control of the pagan god Baal and renamed it the District of Christ.

Benefiel uses what he calls the “Baal Decree of Divorce” [PDF] to cast out the demonic structures that he believes control and corrupt geographic areas. He claims that the divorce decrees are a vital part of spiritual warfare that will reduce a locality’s social, environmental, economic and spiritual ills by ending Baal’s jurisdiction over that area and inviting in God to rule instead. Now, Benefiel has taken his Baal divorce decrees to Michigan in preparation for The Call: Detroit.

Rachel Tabachnick and Bruce Wilson of Talk to Action posted audio clips today of organizers from The Call and Transformation Michigan, the state affiliate of the Oak Initiative, talking about how they are using spiritual warfare to combat the supposed demonic powers over the state. Organizer Anita Christopher discussed how she works on casting demons out of mosques, saying, “We do believe as do many of the prophetic and apostolic people that Baal is the strongman over our country and directly the strongman over Islam and freemasonry.” She added that we need to “set free ourselves from freemasonry and from Islamic influence.”

Benefiel and Christopher discussed with Transformation Michigan leader Rich Warzywak their efforts to “divorce Baal” from mosques, Masonic temples and even the Michigan Senate. Benefiel said, “We are for Free Masons and Mormons and Muslims getting free from the bondage that they’ve been under to know the Lord Jesus Christ.” “In your state in the Dearborn area in particular, that’s probably the biggest stronghold of Islam in our nation, well, in going to the Masonic lodges I believe that we are earning authority from God,” claimed Benefiel. He went on to say, “I believe we are earning authority to pull down the spirit of Islam over our nation.”

Religious Right Rallies To Fight The Repeal Of DOMA

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) became a chief target of Religious Right activists after she introduced the Respect for Marriage Act, which would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and end federal discrimination against married same-sex couples. In an email titled, “Getting Gay With Marriage,” Andrea Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition warns that President Obama, the Supreme Court and “left-wing radicals have declared open warfare against America’s families” by “trying to cram gay marriage through Congress”:

URGENT: Please forward this e-mail to as many friends as possible. Senate Democrats led by Dianne Feinstein are once again trying cram gay marriages through Congress! We need to deliver 50,000 signatures in the next 48 hours if we are to fight back against this reckless and liberal attack on marriage!

On Thursday, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee meets to do the unthinkable -- redefine marriage, repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), and overturn the will of the people in 41 states across the country.

In the next 48 hours, the anti-marriage left is trying to gather 50,000 signatures to deliver to the Senate to overturn DOMA.

Yet liberals in Washington have used every judicial tool they have to overturn the will of the American people!

Worse, liberals such as Barack Obama have done everything in their power to pack the courts with likeminded left-wing radicals such as Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.

Make no mistake -- Obama and the left-wing radicals have declared open warfare against America’s families.

Liberty Counsel also called on the Senate to stop the Respect for Marriage Act, warning that the bill will “undermine marriage” and will wrongly reward “same-sex preferences”:

DOMA defines marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman, which is the only way our federal government has viewed marriage. This law was enacted in 1996 and signed into law by President Clinton. Natural marriage benefits our society by providing the ideal way to raise future generations, stable relationships, and health benefits that same-sex preferences do not. Government has the authority to reward and defend natural marriage because of the good it creates in our society.

Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, said: I urge the Senators to vote against the repeal of DOMA. Thirty states have passed constitutional amends to affirm marriage as the union of one man and one woman. The Senate has better things to do with the faltering economy than to undermine marriage. Liberty Counsel Action will be scoring the votes and will be informing the voters, and the voters will hold Senators accountable.”

Mario Diaz of Concerned Women for America penned an op-ed in The Washington Times last week attacking the bill as a threat to the country’s “freedom and liberty”:

But despite what “We the people” want, liberal lawmakers will stop at nothing until they force their own values on the rest of the nation. That is why they introduced this bill and will continue to introduce it until they get it through. Perhaps they’ll hide it in a defense bill, as they did with the controversial “hate crimes” legislation. They’ll never let freedom and liberty get in the way of liberal ideology.

Americans should take note of every congressman supporting this bill, and they should let their voices be heard. Enough is enough. We need not take it.

If they want to respect something, they should respect “We the people.” How about that?

Barber Asks "WWJVF?" (Who Would Jesus Vote For?)

One of the things I love about the Religious Right is their absurd insistence that they don't care about political parties because they make all of their political decisions based only on Biblical values.

As Samuel Rodriguez always claims, the Religious Right doesn't care about the agenda of the Donkey (Democrats) or the Elephant (Republicans,) but only the agenda of The Lamb (Jesus) ... yet, inevitably, they always support Republicans.

Nothing better demonstrates this pathetic charade than today's episode of "Faith and Freedom" where Matt Barber and Mat Staver encourage Christians to go out and vote their values in today's elections while insisting that this has nothing to do with Democrats vs Republicans but is simply about "who would Jesus vote for" ... all while Barber calls Democrats "secular socialists" who are "immoral and irreligious" and need to be voted out of office:

Ron Paul Guest Stars In Documentaries Made By 9/11 Conspiracy Theorist

Yesterday, filmmaker James Jaeger of the Jaeger Research Institute publicized the films SPOiLER: How A Third Party Could Win and Original Intent, which “exposes the historical march of Cultural Marxism.” Guests in the films include far-right notables including Pat Buchanan, Chuck Baldwin, Ted Baehr and Edwin Vieira. Original Intent and SPOiLER also include one notable guest: congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul. In fact, Paul’s Campaign for Liberty is listed alongside the Jaeger Research Institute under the film’s “affiliations.”

Even a brief glance at Jaeger Research Institute’s “research” reveals that it is a fringe, conspiratorial organization. In 2003, the group published a column arguing that “Zionist Jews appear to control both parties” and that “the Zionist leadership betrayed the Jews of Europe during the Jewish holocaust.” Another writer for the Jaeger Research Institute wrote, “I find it hard to believe that there is no truth in any of the accusations of child murder leveled against Jews over the centuries.”

And who is James Jaeger?

Jaeger is an outspoken media critic who has claimed that the film industry has “a cultural Marxist agenda and it injects this agenda into about 10% of its annual output” and believes “the studios support the government agenda of endless expansion because they consider themselves in the elite that will dominate the New World Order.” He is also a big Ron Paul fan, but believes that the Council of Foreign Relations is determined to stop Paul’s candidacy: “The forces that are arrayed against the Ron Paul Revolution can be summed up in basically three letters: CFR.”

Last month, Jaeger wrote that the September 11th attacks were an inside job concocted by the CIA and Mossad:

On the bigger picture, what may have happened is this: when the cold war wound down, factions in the military-industrial-complex realized that they needed an excuse to justify an increase in the military budget. The first attack on the World Trade Center in the early 1990s was thus probably orchestrated by the CIA in conjunction with the military and/or Islamic extremists. Since this was deemed a "terrorist attack," they were able to bring the Trade Center Towers under the auspices of the federal government (CIA and/or factions in the military industrial complex). This then gave certain actors years of access to the elevator system in the Twin Towers.

In the film I recommended, a World Trade Center elevator employee discussed the elevator system and the easy access one would have to the central steel core of the building. So this is how they may have gotten in there to slowly wire up the charges on the central column of the Towers and Building 7 over the course of as long as a decade. Once the towers were wired and ready to go, the CIA alone, but more likely in conjunction with elements in the Mossad, instigated or contracted with Osama bin Laden, directly or indirectly, to pull off the attacks. This why bin Laden was not "caught" for so long and why, and when he WAS "caught," he was, of course, killed by the special forces that "caught him." The central planners of 9-11 could not have him exposing what he knew.

Most likely, bin Laden had no idea the towers had been pre-wired for complete demolition. bin Laden's job was simply to commandeer as many jets as possible and "attack" multiple targets so he could look good to this religious constituents. The reason for the multiple targets was to diffuse the New York attack. Had all the attacks been on the two towers, the public's investigative powers would have been focused just on New York. Having the "terrorist" attacks executed over a wide area gave MUCH more credence to the idea that this was a concerted attack from a massive and very threatening force.

Barton: Our Government Came Right Out Of The Bible

I know that we have already done this several times before, but as long as David Barton keeps making baseless assertions that key elements of our system of government were taking directly out of the Bible, we are going to keep posting it.

And this is exactly what he did, yet again, during his presentation at the "One Nation Under God" conference:

Barton's success is largely rooted in the fact that he generally only speaks to friendly audiences who don't question anything he says and never bother to check to see if his assertions actually make any sense.  Because if they did, they might be surprised by what they found.

Barton says Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution lays out policies for "uniform immigration" and that this concept is rooted in Leviticus 19:34.

Article I, Section 8 merely gives Congress the authority to "establish a uniform rule of naturalization"  ... but Barton asserts that it come from the passage that says "The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God."

Barton also asserts that Article II, Section 1's requirement that the President must be a natural born citizen is based on Deuteronomy 17:15 which says "Be sure to appoint over you the king the LORD your God chooses. He must be from among your own brothers. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not a brother Israelite."

He then asserts that Article III, Section 3's language that "no person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court" is rooted in Deuteronomy 17:6 which says "On the testimony of two or three witnesses a man shall be put to death, but no one shall be put to death on the testimony of only one witness."

Likewise, he says Article III, Section 3's stipulation that "no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted" comes from Ezekiel 18:20, which says "The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them."

Barton then goes on to claim that the Founding Fathers pointed to Bible verses like Jeremiah 17:9 ["The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"] as the inspiration behind the separation of powers while Isaiah 33:22 ["For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us"] was responsible for the three branches of government.

Finally, the idea of tax exemption for churches came out of Ezra 7:24 ["You are also to know that you have no authority to impose taxes, tribute or duty on any of the priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, temple servants or other workers at this house of God"] and the idea for a republican form of government came from Exodus 18:21 ["But select capable men from all the people--men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain--and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens."]

Barton never provides any documentation for any of these claims - he simply asserts them as if they are undeniable facts.

In Barton's view, if something has any sort of parallel to anything in the Bible, then the inspiration for that thing could only have come from the Bible.

I honestly would not be surprised to hear Barton one day explain how the invention of water skiing obviously came right out of Matthew 14:22-33.

Rodriguez: Christians Must Mobilize To Vote And Save America

One thing we have never understood is how Samuel Rodriguez of The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference has managed to somehow be both a radical Religious Right activist while enjoying a reputation as a moderate who is regularly invited to the White House and to presidential events.

Would leaders like James Dobson or David Barton, who are committed to seeing President Obama defeated in 2012, regularly be welcomed for meetings with the President to discuss policy? That seems unlikely, but for some reason Samuel Rodriguez is a frequent guest even though he joined Barton and Dobson and others for the "One Nation Under God" DVD aimed at mobilizing millions of Christian to vote Obama and the Democrats out of office:
