Ohio Education Board Again Flirts with Creationism

Members of Ohio’s Board of Education are again pushing the teaching of “Intelligent Design” creationism, as one member proposed a “template” for dealing with “controversial” topics – in particular, “global warming; evolutionary theory; emerging technologies and how they may impact society, e.g. cloning or stem-cell research.” Just five months ago, the board reversed a biology-class mandate critical of evolution.
